The food tasted delicious. Had pasta in tomato sauce, some eggplant, arugula and parmesan for lunch.
Unfortunately, the sauce was very oily, which gave me some digestive problems afterwards.
Great, rustic brewery where I used to go regularly with my parents as a little boy over 40 years ago.
After almost 40 years it happened again and it was great.
Everything feels like it used to, rustic and just beautiful.
We drank delicious Kölsch and ate well!
Since we live in Cologne again, we will now manage to come here regularly.
As an old Cologne resident, you feel very comfortable here. It's just a shame that the Cologne language no longer exists here either. 😞
Sascha from the service is just 1a.
He understands us.
Attentive and always jut drop!
I've been a guest here for 45 years and, despite a break of many years, I have the feeling of being at home again.
Thank you very much and see you soon!
Great beer garden & always a good beer!
The Rather Hof is absolutely worth a visit, especially in summer - the beer garden is spacious, cozy and invites you to linger. The staff is attentive and friendly, the food is down-to-earth and delicious. Particularly noteworthy: the beer of the month – always well chosen and a real highlight for beer lovers. The overall package is just right here!
Frau Maher in Cologne is breakfast bliss. Their fluffy blueberry pancakes burst with flavor, and the eggs Benedict are pure perfection—silky hollandaise, expertly poached eggs, and an unforgettable taste. A must-visit for a mega tasty morning! 🥞🍳🥓
My first culinary experience in Cologne. Acht was recommended by local friends. I’ll start with the most important, the food. It’s fine. We had the three course menu. Scallop with pickled white asparagus as a starter followed by a perfectly cooked tuna steak with green asparagus and then a watery rhubarb dessert. The best part of the meal was the amuse bouche, a wonderfully creamy white asparagus soup. The rest of the meal left both of us searching for adjectives. Everything looked great, the portions were great, the kitchen clearly cares and tries hard but nothing popped. Everything tasted a bit meh (still searching for adjectives). Not bland just nothing that makes the tastebuds tingle. That makes you look up in surprise with a smile on your face. I understand that this seems harsh but the food is priced and presented in such a way that it should at least in moments have you whispering ‘delicious’ and it just never does. For the rest everything was great. The staff was charming, informative and cheerful. The location and decor is elegant and comfortable urban cool. The wine list is enormous, frankly a tad overwhelming, but we ended with a wonderful 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape that made the evening.
Hello, I'm often in the bistro again
Must have my old review
Take back
It's very nice here, food is very tasty
Service courteous great
But the prices are normal
The employees also have to pay
Everything has become more expensive
Great here
