Very rustic, old-established, quaint pub, with a cheerful waiter :-) it's just fun to enjoy the atmosphere.

The schnitzel was just warmed up with instant sauce and oversalted (also the fries). The ready-made schnitzel from Aldi tastes better. The waiter was unfriendly, seemed almost aggressive and didn't want to do his job.

Super delicious food. We had the Wiener Schnitzel and our guest from Vienna had the sauerbraten from the horse. But I let him try my schnitzel and he praised it 👌. The fresh Sion from the barrel is also very well chilled and crisp on the throat. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back. Thank you.

One of our favorite breweries in Cologne! Rustic ambience, nice service who is on the ball with Kölsch and with whom you can always have a chat and the food is consistently delicious! First of all - the sauerbraten from the horse, super tasty! Viennese schnitzel and Viennese style schnitzel are very good homemade and the accompanying lukewarm potato salad is really good. Yesterday we tried the Brauhaus Kotelett for the first time - a dream made of meat with definitely homemade and good fried potatoes! Conclusion: Very cozy Veedelsbrauhaus, always happy :)

We ate dinner here. We didn't have a reservation for a party of 8. The waiter made a time for us. No members of my family had German food before. They loved it. Food was delicious and the service amazing. Thanks a lot.

Hello everyone We went to Advent brunch today and I have to say it was megggggaaa. Delicious food, everything was fresh, the meat was tender, everything they served was great. Beautifully decorated. Very rustic Cologne brewery. We ate and drank very deliciously there as part of a club tour. The price-performance ratio is right. Very nice and attentive staff. Can be recommended without reservation. We'd love to come back.

Very quaint and great shop with a nice staff. The broad beans with bacon (9.5/10) and fried potatoes tasted excellent. These were probably some of the best fried potatoes of my life. Here is an extra large portion for a surcharge of 5 euros.

Local pub/restaurant. For dinner we had schnitzel with mushroom sauce. The portion was very large and tasty. Worth trying famous Cologne beer.

Visited for a late lunch. Ordered schnitzel with spicy sauce. It was a very ordinary schnitzel and I finished it with confidence, but since I couldn't leave out the kölsch, I had about 3 cups. If you're used to eating in downtown Frankfurt, Cologne feels expensive. Since I visited outside of normal business hours, I was able to enter the restaurant empty-handed, but I thought I might need to make a reservation for dinner.

I've been here several times now and I can simply say that the food as well as the atmosphere and charm of the Stüsser is simply unique. Today I ate spare ribs and since I actually live in Munich, I've eaten a lot of good ones in our beer gardens. Today it was by far the best spare ribs of my life. Buttery tender, no meat left on the bone and a great barbecue marinade/sauce. Plus a good Kölsch and a delicious Stüsser schnapps, I can only recommend it. The whole thing for an unbeatable price! I will always come by when I am in Cologne ☺️

Stüssers Brauhaus - oder "Brauhaus Stüsser" - wie es auf der offiziellen Homepage heißt, ist seit weit über 100-Jahren eine echte "Institution" im schönen Kölner Agnesviertel. Begonnen hatte dereinst ALLES mit der Schnapsbrennerei (...mit Bierausschank), die von Peter Stüsser dem Ersten (I.) hier vor Ort & im Jahre 1904 gegründet & betrieben wurde. - Der wirklich wunderbare (!) Stüsser Kräuterbitter (...sog. "Kölsche Jägermeister" ... nur viel besser) ... ist im Brauhaus heute immer noch im Ausschank (...und auch in der Flasche hier vor Ort käuflich) .. wer den Kräuterschnaps allerdings heute noch - nach Originalrezeptur von Peter Stüsser I. - brennt, entzieht sich leider meiner Kenntnis (...he "brennt" jeddefalls nix mieh). --- Der historische Thekenbereich & die Speisegaststube sind im typischen Brauhausstil & herrlich rustikal gestaltet (...einschl. historischem "Beichtstuhl" rep. Thekenschaaf). - Die Brauhaus-Gerichte sind überwiegend rheinisch-, reichlich portioniert ... und sehr schmackhaft. - Wobei ich es persönlich meistens bei zwei besonders delikaten Metthappen-, 6 - 8 Sion-Kölsch vom Fass & 2-Stüsser-Kräuterschnäpsen belasse : für einen ultimativen "Wohlfühleffekt" in diesem wunderbaren & historischen Kölner Brauhaus reicht (mir) dieses "Rentnergedeck" jedenfalls völlig aus ... und die Preise sind allesamt sehr moderat.

Iconic and familiar brewery in the heart of the Agnesviertel. Friendly service, you always get a cookie. The selection of dishes is wide. Even as a vegetarian, you can always find something on the changing menu that is more than just “vegetable casserole”. We recommend!

A traditional brewery in the Agnes district in Cologne. The decor is iconic and cozy. There is outdoor and indoor dining. The menu offers the classic selection of drinks and food for a brewery. The prices are reasonable and the employees are very friendly. I can highly recommend it.

Super nice, little brewery. The prices are reasonable and the food is very good. The side salad and the schnitzel were a poem. Unfortunately there was no potato soup, even though it was on the menu. The Sion Kölsch wasn't bad either. Gladly again!

Mitten im belebten Teil des Agnesviertels ist das Brauhaus gut zu erreichen und bietet im Sommer einige Plätze draußen. Angebote werden gutbürgerliche Speisen, für einige Gerichte wie Kotelett muss etwas mehr Zeit eingeplant werden. Neben den Klassikern gibt es saisonale Specials, bspw. Spargel. Die Portionen sind durchaus groß. Das Kölsch ist frisch und lecker, darüber hinaus gibt es aber auch Wein, etc. auf der Karte. Insgesamt sowohl für ein Kölsch als auch zum essen zu empfehlen.

Since the son now lives in the Agnesviertel and raved about the Stüsser, we spontaneously stopped by with the whole family. Ambiance: Typical Kölsches brewery, a bit old but that's what makes it special. Food: Very good menu, we had spit roast with fried potatoes and salad for € 15.90, schnitzel autumn with wild mushroom cream sauce, fries and salad for € 17.50 and the butcher's bratwurst half meter with fried potatoes and vegetables for € 17.90 as well as the original Viennese Veal schnitzel with lukewarm potato and cucumber salad for € 17.50. Guys, the food was amazing, in terms of taste and quantity. We were all really full and happy. Drinks: Sion Kölsch the small one for €2.00 (0.2l), the large 0.3l for €3.00, water 0.25l for E2.40, so everything is humane. Service: The Köbes was really good and quick. Our grandchildren were thrilled. All in all, a successful evening for all of us, we'll be back.

Food was typical brewery. Tasty and neat. Service was quick and good. Unfortunately our meal wasn't booked, which was only noticed later and we apologized with a Kölsch on the house. OK. Unfortunately, the kitchen was not very flexible when it came to special requests. A vegetarian couldn't even be given a portion of fries. This is what you expect in chain restaurants, but not in a brewery.

The staff was friendly and needed supplies quickly. The food was very good and the portions were more than sufficient, we had sauerbraten and schnitzel “Champi”

Very friendly service. Very tasty food. Especially the light cinnamon aroma of the Flönz in the “Himmel un Äd” is super delicious, now fried apple slices or even better, freshly made applesauce, instead of applesauce from the jar, then we would soon have the best Himmel and Äd from Kölle (eat it in every brewery I have a good comparison with Himmel un Äd and Flönz on my first visit) Flönz is definitely the best... Greetings to your butcher. Next time we don't have to wait so long for menus and the first round of drinks, we'll definitely come back regularly. See you soon

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into Stussers Brauhaus ,been here before on previous holidays to Cologne and always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub, traditional, interesting interior, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, a great looking serving bar dominates the main room, great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, mostly bench style seating, its just a wonderful pub that's been serving happy customers for 120 years. We were here on a cold and rainy December night, pub was packed with a great atmosphere, we grabbed a table were we had two kölsch beers from Sion Brauerei deposited in front of us, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great pub we were in. A big fan of the various kölsch beers served in this vibrant city on the River Rhine and the kölsch beers brewed by Sion Brauerei are just so good,golden, light and hoppy, bursting with taste, when this beer is served freezing cold as in this pub its such a delicious beer indeed, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our kölsch beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Stussers Brauhaus we had a great time. Stussers Brauhaus is easy to locate along Neusser Straße. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Rustic Cologne pub with good home-style food and friendly service

It's actually a nice brewery, but we've been less and less impressed with the food the last few times. The potato soup was over-seasoned, too fatty and had a sour taste. The potato pancakes were also too greasy (although I am of course aware that potato pancakes are not a diet cuisine) and the dough was very compact.

Brauhaus Stüsser on Neusser Straße was a fantastic brauhaus me and my twin brother went to around this area of Cologne where there are many pubs/bars and restaurants and a few superb sites. This superb brauhaus was first established in 1904 and look's amazing.With a fantastic brauhaus interior with wood panelling and many interesting fixtures and features and brilliant seating options throughout its very impressive interior and nice staff. We visited here fairly early in the afternoon on a freezing cold day and decided to visit here for a few beer's.It was very busy when we went here but it didn't take us that long to get serve. When we visited here we had a few glasses of Sion Kölsch which were brilliant and well priced especially for a fantastic brauhaus like this.This is a superb brauhaus that's on a brilliant street and well worth visiting and easy to get to from the Bus or Tram/U-Bahn stop it's a short walk.(This is my first reviews of Brauhaus Stüsser). Eine richtige gute Kneipe mit tollem Essen, tollen Getränken. wir haben uns sehr wohl bei Euch gefüllt.

Solides kölsches Brauhaus. Wir waren dort mit Kollegen zum Jahresabschluss essen. Das Essen war super lecker, das Kölsch natürlich auch. Der Köbes war flott. Innen etwas abgerockt, irgendwie typisch Kölsch.

Ein schönes altes Brauhaus. Bedienung recht freundlich aber etwas zu langsam. Wir saßen öfters ohne Getränke da. Was aber einen Besuch nicht schmälert. Die Speisen sind auch recht lecker und günstig.

Urtümliches Brauhaus im Agnesviertel. Neben der normalen Speisekarte gibt ein leckeres Angebot an Reibekuchen. Lecker

Gemütlich. Rheinischer Sauerbraten vom Pferd war sehr gut. Sehr zart Zerfallendes Fleisch, die Soße war genau nach meinem Geschmack. Knödel und Rotkohl auf den Punkt gegart. Die Koteletts waren riesig. Fast so groß, wie das Neugeborene des Freundes, auf welches wir dort angestoßen haben. Bier frisch und lecker gezapft. Zwischendurch war mal im Service etwas Flaute, kann aber auch an einem Fasswechsel gelegen haben. Ich empfehle und komme wieder ☝️

War am 11.11.23 hier und kann das Essen nicht bewerten. Ansonsten ein super Laden, den man vom Personal und Kölsch her nur empfehlen kann!

Ambiente und Service waren top, das Kölsch sowieso!

Das Ambiente entspricht einem klassischen Brauhaus. Etwas dunkler und urig. Allerdings war das Essen die reinste Katastrophe. Wir hatten ein Schnitzel Wiener Art und ein Wiener Schnitzel bestellt. Das Schweinsschnitzel war mit fett durchzogen und überhaupt nicht zart…geschmacklich und qualitativ nicht befriedigend. Das gleiche gilt dem Wiener Schnitzel. Qualität mehr als unbefriedigend. Sehr zäh und sehnig….. Ich kann nicht beurteilen ob die anderen Gerichte die gute Bewertung auf Google bestätigen, allerdings verdient das Schnitzel nur einen Stern… Sehr schade.

Leckeres Essen mit ordentlichen Portionen zu sehr zivilen Preisen. Aufmerksamer Service und auch wenn es rappelvoll ist, eine bewundernswert schnelle Küche! Bitte weiter so!

Der Service war unfassbar gut. Die Leute hier sind extrem auf Zack und sind zudem sehr freundlich. Das Essen und die Portionen waren absolut super. Die Preise sind ebenfalls absolut fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es jedem nur absolut weiterempfehlen

Eine wirklich sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung hat dieses tolle Brauhaus. Essen und Trinken sind hier wirklich super. Haben noch einen schönen Abend vor dem Braushaus im Biergarten verbracht. Leider können wir das mit dieser Gruppe, denke ich mal, nicht wiederholen. Eigentlich schade

Eines meiner liebsten Brauhäuser in Köln und dann auch noch im schönsten Veedel.

Unfreundliche Bedienung. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Personen. Nur 4 Personen bekamen ein Kölsch. Die anderen mussten (trotz mehrmaliger Nachfragen) über eine halbe Stunde warten! Auch als alle Essen hatten uns die Getränke alle waren gab es null Bedienung. Alle Tische neben uns wurden jedoch ständig bedient. Wir wurden bewusst ignoriert. Lag es daran, dass ein Teil von unserer Gruppe nicht deutsch war? Scheint ein häufigeres Problem in der Kneipe zu sein, wenn ich mir die Rezensionen durchlese. Sehr sehr schade und traurig. Denn Kölsche Gastfreundschaft kenne ich definitiv anders.

Extremely unwelcoming. Right upon seating the waitress stopped by, gave a judgemental look and, after we politely said hello, threw at us “you are in the middle of Cologne, you should speak German” as a greeting. She remained rude and had hostile attitude even after we apologized and tried to order in German. We quickly left and went to a place around the corner that is at least a little bit more welcoming. We travel a lot and always respect local customs, especially at the restaurants, but this is one of the most unfriendly experiences we’ve ever seen. We’ve been to Germany many times. Recommend you take your money elsewhere - Cologne has plenty of great places

Wer Kölsch trinken, essen und erleben möchte ist beim Stüsser gut aufgehoben. Essen ist sehr lecker und schnell am Tisch. Kölsch immer kalt und lecker. Ebenso der Stüssers Kräuter ist ein muss

Essen lecker, Kölsch sehr gut, Service leider schlecht!! Dachte es wäre ein Kölsches Brauhsus … auf das Kölsch muss man stundenlang warten … und das in meiner Heimat… bin erschüttert!!!

Das Ambiente ist das typische Brauhaus-urig. Wir waren zum Mittagstisch hier. Nette, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Bei der Essensauswahl gibt es neben dem klassischen Brauhausessen auch weitere Gerichte zur Auswahl und einen wechselnden Mittagstisch. Preise absolut angemessen. Wir kommen wieder :-)

Hallo liebes brauhaus Team Wir waren gestern Abend bei euch zu Gast Es war ein sehr schöner Abend der Kellner war steht’s freundlich und auf Zack keinerlei Wartezeiten bei essen und Getränken Warum nur 3 Sterne im Service ? Die Kollegin die es vorsah den Abend lieber als Gast zu verbringen Da wir irgendwann die Terrasse in der Seiten Straße verlassen mussten (Verständlich) haben wir uns entschlossen vorne noch ein Bier zu trinken aber was wir dann am zehnen Bereich erlebt haben ist Unglaubwürdig die besagte Kellnerin fing an sich mit Gästen an der Theke zu streiten es ging ums Trinkgeld Auch wenn ich nicht weis was dort vorgefallen ist war es doch sehr schade sowas mitbekommen zu müssen Das gab dem Abend leider einen bitteren Beigeschmack die Krönung war als der Nachbar Tisch zu uns meinte das es wohl nicht das erste mal war Leider traurig da es eine schöne Gaststätte mit gutem Essen und guten Service ist Respekt an den Kollegen und die Kollegin die uns einen schönen Abend bereitet haben das sie dieses so mit machen Liebe Grüße Peter A.

Very authentic beer house. They were very accommodating to our children and the food and service was very good. I recommend the Metzgerbratwurst with potatoes.

Sehr schöne Gaststätte mit originaler Ausstattung der letzten 80 Jahre. Es wurde nur behutsam renoviert und strahlt den Charme längst vergangener Zeiten aus. Schön dass es sowas noch gibt.

Wir lieben dieses Brauhaus!! Toller Service sowie Ambiente. Essen sowie Kölsch super und das zu absolut fairen Preisen. Unbedingt den Stüsser Kräuterschnaps probieren:-)
