Reissdorf em Keuchhof in Köln

Great food, great service, great beer. I've been going there regularly for about 15 years.

We were there on a Saturday evening (7 pm). Very crowded, many families with children. Therefore, it was also quite loud and hectic. Service was impeccable. Friendly and – despite the crowds – without long waits. The food was good. My suckling pig was a bit dry. The ambiance was rustic, very bright, friendly, and clean. Not necessarily suitable for a long, leisurely evening. But a visit is definitely worthwhile. Reservations are recommended.

We absolutely love taking our child to Keuchhof. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent, and we really like the atmosphere. Our little one is always treated with such care. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent goose dinner. Very friendly and attentive service. Also very child-friendly. Even when we asked for more gravy and side dishes, they were brought to us immediately. We'll be back.

Really delicious Kölsch beer and traditional German cuisine that tastes like Mom's cooking.

I really enjoyed my visit. The food and service were excellent. It wasn't exactly cheap, though. It's important to know what you'd like to eat. If you're arriving by car, you should plan ahead. Parking is available, but it fills up quickly in the evenings. However, the restaurant is easily accessible from the S-Bahn and KVB stations, so it's worth considering.

How I miss the old tenant and his goose! There were always "plenty of side dishes," including red cabbage and Brussels sprouts, and always extra gravy (like in many Cologne restaurants, by the way). This time there were no Brussels sprouts at all, and too little of everything else. The goose was far too salty, and there was far too little gravy. The Kaiserschmarrn was also only a two-thirds portion at most. The price-performance ratio was unacceptable. It's a shame, but I won't be eating goose there again (which, incidentally, was better last year).

Better than the usual brewery food!

Very tasty dishes prepared in the German style

Today was our first time at Keuchhof. There were four of us, and we didn't have to wait long for our food, which was okay. I had pork medallions with peppercorn cream sauce, fries, and a side salad. The meat was warm but not hot, and the fries were very sparse. The salad, especially the dressing, was very tasty. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant if you're thirsty. I, or rather we, were absolutely parched. When we paid after two hours, we spoke to the waiter about the poor service. He initially responded with, "We have very good reviews." Well, that may be true, but that doesn't quench my thirst. But the icing on the cake was when he said, "But I had four Kölsch beers!" and asked what I wanted. Honestly, four Kölsch beers in two hours is nothing. I pointed out that all the other tables were well supplied with drinks, except for us. He accepted this without comment. Unfortunately, there were quite a few dogs in the restaurant. I have absolutely nothing against dogs, but I don't think they belong in a restaurant. My conclusion: I can only recommend the restaurant with reservations. The food could have been warmer, and the drinks service was abysmal. Ultimately, everyone has to decide for themselves what they think of the restaurant.

Unfortunately, I didn't feel well-treated during my first visit with my colleagues. I found my food too salty, so I had my colleagues at the table try it to confirm their suspicion of saltiness or if I was perhaps exaggerating. We all agreed it was salty. I brought it up politely and asked if it was normal for this restaurant to use more salt (because it's possible). The waitress confirmed that their food is always "a bit saltier." Long story short... I received no compensation as a paying customer. The chef sent word that he had never heard of such a thing and therefore wouldn't offer me anything else, adding that my plate was already half empty. (When four forks are more than half) ☝🏻 If I wanted something different, I would have to pay for it. I politely declined! So I sat at the table and watched my colleagues eat. 🙂 I work in the service industry myself and I'm not used to being treated like that. I felt cheated out of my money. That was the last time we'll be here.

Very good food and friendly staff

Top place, if I like Cologne cuisine, then this is simply the best. Prices aren't low, but fair for the dishes 🫶 The food was great and the service was excellent, even before match day.

We spontaneously decided to go there on a Friday. We were able to reserve a table for two at short notice, even though it was already quite busy. Everything was perfect :) The two dishes we ordered met our expectations, just as I would expect in a brewery. My request was accommodated despite the restaurant being full. We were completely satisfied and will gladly return.

Once a staple for good food, the reduced and more expensive menu unfortunately also affected the quality. The French fries served turned out to be reheated, and a complaint had to be made. This shouldn't happen and is unacceptable to the customer. At least there was an apology and a quick refill. On the bill, two 0.25-ounce glasses of beer were incorrectly listed as 0.4 ounces. Yes, it can happen. Overall, though, it didn't make a good impression.

Food is good but used to be better

We had a lovely evening at the Keuchhof. The crowd was diverse and pleasant, as was the atmosphere. The staff had everything under control, and we didn't have to wait long even though the Keuchhof was very busy. The food was good and tasty. The Kölsch beer was served at a very good temperature. We felt very comfortable.

I love Lövenich and therefore also the Reissdorf. The food is more than solid and the service is very quick and friendly.

I generally love rustic restaurants with good, home-style cooking – and this place really impressed me. We made a reservation there quite spontaneously with a fairly large group, and even though there were a lot of children with us, it wasn't a problem at all. The service was warm, attentive, and all-around fantastic. I was particularly impressed that we accidentally left a children's jacket there after our visit – and it was sent home to us without any fuss and with a great deal of kindness. That's really not to be taken for granted! A great restaurant with real heart – we would definitely love to come back if we're ever in the area again. 🌿🍽️

We were here for the first time yesterday and were immediately impressed. The service was very attentive and exceptionally friendly. From the menu, we chose the grilled knuckle of pork with fried potatoes and the Wiener Schnitzel with a mushroom cream sauce and French fries. The skin of the grilled knuckle of pork was crispy, crunchy, and golden brown. The meat was tender, juicy, and soft. The schnitzel was pounded beautifully thin, very tender and juicy. The breading was light and fluffy, and easily separated from the meat. The sauce had a wonderful mushroom aroma and was extremely well-seasoned. The brewery is located away from the typical tourist attractions, which we really liked. We will definitely be back.

Reissdorf am Keuchhof, a lovely restaurant/brewery with a beer garden in the back that can be covered. The service is really friendly, the atmosphere is friendly, and you can meet lots of people there. The waiters are very attentive. The food is delicious. I highly recommend it and would gladly return.

The beer garden is a real highlight – wonderfully cozy, beautifully located, and perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere was fantastic, typically Cologne-style, and absolutely welcoming. The staff was super friendly, efficient, and always attentive. The food was delicious: fresh, hot, and typically Rhenish – just as you'd expect! And the Reissdorf Kölsch, fresh from the tap, is, of course, a dream – ice-cold, perfectly tapped, and simply delicious. Everything was perfect: food, drinks, service, and atmosphere – it couldn't be better! We felt completely at home and are already looking forward to our next visit. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for a first-class brewery experience!

If you're looking for a cozy place to enjoy delicious food and drinks with family or friends, the Brauhaus is the place to be. The terrace is simply fantastic. The menu has a lot to offer, and everything I've eaten so far has been delicious! The staff is super friendly and makes everyone feel at home. It's also super kid-friendly!

The new owner has drastically raised prices, reduced the menu items, and halved the portion sizes. We used to come here often, but not anymore. What a shame.

In my opinion, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right in some places. I think €14.90 for a veal currywurst with fries is a lot. The meatloaf was two meatballs with much more bread than meat, and there was no mention of a "roast." The fried potatoes were delicious, and so was the tiny portion of savoy cabbage. Over €20 is way too much for what was offered, in my opinion. The salad with fillet pieces was delicious, generous, and reasonably priced. The draft drinks were unfortunately very low in carbonation and were criticized by all six guests in the group. We sat outside comfortably and the service was very prompt. I think it's okay for small, typical "Cologne" dishes.

It's been our regular restaurant for a long time, but yesterday we were very disappointed. The menu was very limited and the plates were poorly presented. It was beyond disappointing and not worth repeating.

I guess we probably went there with the wrong ideas. We made a reservation and had a seat outside. Unfortunately it was too tight for both guests and staff and people bumped into people quite often. But it's your own fault, it's probably difficult on a day like Mother's Day. In addition, the food seemed to me to be quite simple and extremely mildly seasoned. One of the group had a Mettbrötchen as a starter and there was nothing on it except onions. Especially since you got double the portion without asking and had to pay... Probably misunderstood. Then there's the very difficult parking situation if you don't know your way around and the pretty hard chairs... What a shame

A thoroughly recommended brewery with a great price-performance ratio! The cuisine is solid, everything comes to the table fresh, the portions are generous and fill you up - exactly how you want it. The service is extremely friendly, attentive and down-to-earth friendly - you simply feel welcome. We have never been disappointed so far and always plan to go more often - and rightly so!

The food was really bad twice in a row now, no comparison to the previous quality of the food. Our food took less than five minutes to be served...A beautiful beer garden doesn't justify everything.

Früher waren wir immer sehr gerne im Keuchhof essen. Seit einiger Zeit aber (neuer Pächter wie wir gehört haben) hat die Essensqualität unheimlich abgenommen. Schnitzel, die dünner sind als die Panade außen rum, knochentrockene, versalzene Pommes, Fertigsossen, Hacksteaks (eigentlich bekommt man zwei Industriefrikadellen in unterirdischer Qualität) aus der Mikrowelle, aufgewärmte, pappige Bratkartoffeln, totgekochtes Wirsinggemüse….kulinarische Katastrophen zu mittlerweile sehr hohen Preisen. Die zwei Sterne gibt es für die nach wie vor sehr freundliche und kompetente Bedienung.

The Reissdorf im Keuchhof has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. However, I unfortunately have to say that since my visits in November 2024, January 2025 and today, March 16, 2025, the quality of the food has decreased. I would very much like to see a return to the quality I am used to. Of course I will visit this restaurant again.

17.2: last chance➡️ screwed up! We had sauerbraten, which was so tough! The portions have shrunk to the minimum. A spoonful of red cabbage that came out of the jar at 100 per cent, and unfortunately didn't even taste remotely like red cabbage. The sauerbraten slices were thin like a schnitzel and only two instead of the usual 3-4. The dumplings were tiny too. However, the prices have risen sharply. Well... That was finally it after so many delicious years 😪😪😪 The service from the regular staff was, as always, very good 👍 December 2024: After years of satisfaction, we were bitterly disappointed yesterday. The menu, more of a traffic ladle, has shrunk by 50%, all the good food has disappeared. But run-of-the-mill dishes like in surrounding restaurants. Unfortunately, this is no longer interesting for us as long-time guests who like to come at least once a month. It's a shame... the new service is completely overwhelmed, empty glasses as far as the eye can see. We've never drank so little there before. Unfortunately the food has deteriorated considerably; the veal curry sausage was dry, the intestines were difficult to chew, and the additional fries we ordered didn't even arrive. Very unfortunate 🙁

Small, fine brewery atmosphere with Rhenish delicacies.

No, no and no. This is no longer the good brewery with the large selection and great quality, no matter which dish you choose. Side dishes kept very, very small. Add salt to the mashed potatoes. The dessert selection was a joke - maybe something for children. Redness Grits, rice pudding and ice cream. There seems to be a lack of basic craftsmanship. All the plates didn't look tasty, they just looked like they were slapped on. We don't need to say anything about the pricing other than overpriced.

The ambience and also the service is really good. But the main thing is the food and that was really bad, I ate the classic, the sauerbraten and that was by far the worst I've ever eaten. It was simply tough and that's not possible with a sauerbraten, plus the taste wasn't sour at all. The side dishes were ready-made, both the dumplings and the red cabbage. Absolutely not recommended for eating out. There are 2 stars only for the service. There really is more.

New managing director/owner… you can tell. Not only did the previous managing director raise the prices several times, but now, immediately after the new boss took over, there was another price increase of around 10%. But the menu is reduced by around 50%. It will be exciting to see where the guests continue to arrive. (Unfortunately I have to give one star for the prices and menu) Addendum: I'm surprised where all the gourmets 🙄 are suddenly coming from. I don't want to question it 😎

Unfortunately, we also have to adapt to the bad reviews. After the change of tenant, the restaurant is no longer recommended. Why do you have to change a concept so badly for the worse, even though it worked great for years? It's a shame for the great staff, maybe we'll stop by again for a Kölsch, but not to eat anymore.

We were there for dinner on November 15, 2024. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is no longer what it was a year ago. The portions were very small and didn't really fill you up. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend the restaurant.

I have always enjoyed going to the Keuchhof for years, but last night was disappointing. The smaller menu isn't a problem in itself, but the delicious deserts like apple fritters are missing. Clear minus on the part of the kids. The main courses were served carelessly and not as good or as filling as the price level would suggest. We will cancel our Christmas party for now.

Side salad consists of 2 leaves of green lettuce, 1 slice of cucumber, 1 slice of beetroot, 1/8 tomato and 3 beans. Surcharge for sauce for the schnitzel: 3.50. Still loud and crowded, uncomfortable.

The menu is very small and there is little choice of different dishes. Mainly served: pork. The server did not ask for the rumpsteak to be cooked, the fries arrived cold and the quality was unsatisfactory. I could almost do the same thing at home for less money. I am not coming back and I advise against it

The food is a poem every time. The rump steak is always on point. Luckily it doesn't swim in the sauce. Fortunately, these are provided separately and are also all recommended. Especially the pepper sauce. The seasonal side dishes are also a dream. A big shout out to the chef here! The waiters are very friendly, attentive and work well together. You can feel that this is a long-standing staff M factory. All in all, one of the best breweries in the area and highly recommended for all lovers of good, cozy food!

Unfortunately only 3 stars in the overall rating although the service and ambience are very consistent. Since there were about 10 of us in total, I can and would only like to rate my menu: Dish: Grilled veal kidneys Fried potatoes ok but not hearty. Broccoli overcooked. Mustard sauce with mushrooms is very tasty. Must be taken into account!!!!!! Kidneys were still absolutely raw from the core.

We ended up here by chance and were therefore all the more positively surprised. Very attentive, friendly service team. Great selection and excellent quality of food. In short: we were completely satisfied. Thank you for that.

The sauerbraten is second to none

Was good, is good, (hopefully stays good). Grown brewery, just as it should be. Very tasty food, nice service (the same team for years). Parking is a bit difficult.

Down-to-earth, good, tasty brewery cuisine with seasonal special menus. The service is quick and, as is the brewery tradition, the beer glass never stays empty for long. There are many tables, more inside than outside. Table reservations definitely make sense. Rooms for larger events are also available. There are a few parking spaces in front of it, but they fill up quite quickly and it's hard to find any around it, as the picturesque estate is in the middle of a residential area.

Die Qualität der Speisen ist immer noch deutlich über dem Durchschnitt und hat mit dem üblichen Brauhaus essen nichts gemeinsam! In der sessionalen Karte gibt es zur Zeit ganz ausgezeichneten Spargel in mehreren Varianten. Wir werden sicherlich noch einige male den Spargel bestellen!! Beste Wahl.

A really nice inn! The rooms are large and have a well-kept interior. The beds are very comfortable and everything seemed bright and friendly. At breakfast there is a small but good selection of cheese, sausage and the like. - as a guest you can also have any egg dish freshly prepared for you! All in all, we paid around €110 for one night for two people including parking and breakfast. That's cheap for the performance offered here! Again any time!

Sehr gepflegtes und schönes Restaurant. Stilvoll, urig und passend eingerichtet. Der Service war sehr gut. Aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war super. Alles wie erwartet und die Wartezeit war angemessen. Obwohl es recht voll war, hat man uns kleine Sonderwünsche erfüllt. Die Gerichte sind gut bürgerlich und die Portionen waren groß. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein jährliches Treffen unter Freunden führte meine Frau und mich ins Reissdorf em Keuchhof. Da ich nicht trinke habe ich mir einen Tee bestellt, welcher nur zur hälfte gefüllt war. Zur Vorspeise gabs eine Kürbissuppe die sehr stark gewürzt war und mit Gemüsebrühenpulver mit Stückchen verfeinert wurde. Also eine Kürbissuppe ist jetzt nicht die hohe Kunst. Ohne Zusätze mit ausschließlich frischen Zutaten ist machbar, wenn ein Rezept fehlt kann ich gerne aushelfen. Zur Hauptspeise, die war lecker. Schnitzel mit Wirsing und Bratkartoffeln sind es geworden. Mir persönlich fehlten Speck und Zwiebeln bei den Bratkartoffeln wurde aber nicht in der Karte mit angegeben also mein Pech. Zum Nachtisch gab es Kaiserschmarrn. Ja eine Enttäuschung auf Platte. Also für ein so kleines Portion 8,90 zu verlangen und dann auch noch aus Fertigmische ohne Rosinen und Konfitüre, mehr als ärgerlich. Bekommen hab ich einen in Teile geschnittenen Pfannenkuchen mit einer sehr dünnen, gehaltlosen Vanillesaucen (wurde wahrscheinlich gestreckt) und der Ausnahme des Tellers, einem leckeren Walnusseis. Ich komme gerne vorbei und gebe der Küche Tipps, aber das ist kein essen wofür ich mit zwei Personen nochmal über 70 Euro ausgeben möchte.

Gemütliches gutbürgerliche Lokal. Freundliche Bedienung. Der Sauerbraten hat leider nicht geschmeckt.
