Nice location for parties, great service

Not again. The meat was very dry and the food overall didn't taste particularly good. The service was rarely there, seemed very uninterested and rather unfriendly. You weren't greeted, but overall you can agree with the other dissatisfied customers. There are much better breweries there.

Interesting German beer hall. Quite big. With a pleasant view from the windows to the embankment. We visited this establishment during the day. There weren't many people. The beer on tap is delicious.

Nice staff. Delicious food. Were there on the second Christmas holiday. Still decorated. We made a reservation, but it wasn't that crowded. Good value for money. Nice with a view of the Rhine and the Hohenzollern Bridge.

OpenTable is reserved, am Sylvester Tag um 21:30. bei Ankunft Küche zu, Reservierung lag nicht vor (als ob man das nicht sehen oder überprüfen könnte, ist ja nicht so als ob ich eine Bestätigungs Mail bekommen hätte), Gastfreundschaft = 0! No matter what, you should know that there are 3 people in your life. Jedes andere Restaurant hätte es besser hinbekommen, Nicht empfehlenswert! I reserved a table with the OpenTable App, for New Year’s Eve at 10:30 pm. Upon my arrival I have been told that their kitchen is closed moreover my reservation was not even written down(not as if they could not see it in their system or something, not to forget that i get a verification email for my reservation), also the staff is really unfriendly, I'd really won't to give 0 stars if it was possible. Honestly take my advice to not go that that horrible place, even less because of those 5 stars review, telling you it’s so good and stuff, there are so much better places to eat. I made a reservation via the OpenTable app for New Year's Eve at 10:30 p.m. I arrive and I am told firstly that the kitchen is closed then we cannot find the name of my reservation (they could have at least checked their reservation system, moreover that I showed them the confirmation email which in addition is confirmed in the app), because it wasn't even rated and again, the people who work there are not at all friendly, so for me it's not even a star, if I could I would give them 0, so there you go don't go, even every other restaurant has more skills!

Delicious food, great service and you feel good! The cutlet was huge and super tasty - the potato with salmon too - the schnitzel was super tasty - the mashed potatoes were absolutely amazing and so was the currywurst

The Stapelhaus is simply furnished like a brewery. The service has always been very good and relaxed. The food has always been very good and it's quick. And you don't have to wait for your beer either. I'm very happy with everything.

Friendly waiter. Another real German eatery with local cuisine. And more than enough meat on your plate.

We were a fairly large group and had made reservations online in advance. We were told on site that there was a double booking, thanks to the additional reservation service, which made it not so easy to get a table. We ended up sitting at two tables, which was suboptimal. I don't understand why they offer such a service if it causes complications. The food was okay but almost all of it was too cold. We would like to give the Stapelhaus another chance as things are generally stressful in the run-up to Christmas. Service and ambience fit wonderfully into a brewery.

Reserved a table the day before. When you arrived you were rudely rejected because there was a closed group on site. It's a shame, we probably knew that beforehand.

I was here for dinner before I went on the party ship. You could choose from 6 different menus. In short, the food was great, the staff was great, the view of the Rhine with a view of the ship and the Deutzer Bridge. Simply good. Always a pleasure. And the beer Of course it was also great.

We were 2 couples and a toddler. It was woe and of course crowded. We got a place. The drinks came quite quickly. However, when ordering, the service was very unfriendly and you even got a very cheeky comment when he almost poured the beer on the child and I pointed it out before it was too late. The food e.g. dumplings, red cabbage meat was ok. Others ate meat dishes and weren't really impressed - so there's some room for improvement. You have to like the facility. There were cobwebs on the radiators and it was blowing through the windows, so it was quite cold while eating. All in all you can eat here, but since there are too many restaurants of this type in Cologne, we certainly won't come back again. We think that's a shame.

Unfortunately, going out to eat is not recommended. The spaetzle was quite overcooked and tasted watery. The salad seemed like it was from yesterday... unfortunately not entirely fresh. At least the ambience and service were top.

Probably the best traditional German meal we have had here in cologne. Bratwurst, potatoes and cabbage and everything was very tasty. The sandwich was ok but the fries were AMAZING! No fry has compared to these fries. The waitress seems a little overwhelmed so it took a long time for everything. Even refills of drinks but the food being so good made up for it.

Disastrous food, not up to date, run-down facilities in a prime location! Don't be fooled by the location! Cologne is always worth a trip if you're not eating in Stapel Haus! The Kölsch is recommended!

Right on the Rhine, delicious food, great, very friendly and nice service (Susi), we can only recommend it!

We went last Saturday with 2 adults and 2 children and sat in the open area. There was already a festival, it was crowded, we sat down and immediately ordered 2 Kölsch. The children were also choosing food at that time. Then our beers arrived and our kids asked for the French fries "pommes" which were on the menu. However, the waiters said that pommes were not sold and did not bring them. But next in line, customers sitting by the window had french fries on their plates. While we sat there for a longer time eating our beers, the kids were going to eat something, but the business responded negatively to us even though the customers inside had pommes on their plates. Instead of calling the dissatisfied customer to account, you should check the service discrimination provided to the customers in the restaurant.

The Kölsch on tap was really tasty, the tarte flambée was crispy and hot!

Very friendly staff. Service top - fast and courteous. People are also happy to give tips. Food top - good quality. Big portion. Price is right too. Ambience: Typical flair for a brewery in Cologne's old town - we felt comfortable and would love to come back! Especially since table reservations can be easily made online in advance.

I was there with my wife on June 29th and ordered 2 Hefeweizen. The first thing the waiter said was a strange “oeh”. Whatever that means. A little later, friends came and ordered 5 Kölsch. The next comment from the waitress was “At least something sensible and not what they both have”. Sorry, but something like that is outrageous and not possible. Even if you have to listen to a stupid saying from a Köbe, once is enough. I'd rather go to Augustiner and order my wheat without saying anything stupid.

If you are in Cologne you should definitely go there. Great location on the Rhine and good and cheap for eating and drinking.

The sauerbraten was delicious, the red cabbage was unfortunately a bit cold, and the dumplings were unfortunately not cooked through. The Kölsch came quickly.

In the Stapelhaus you can enjoy delicious food with a fantastic view of the Rhine. The legendary sauerbraten has addictive potential. Only the rustic cathedral skewer (the finest fillet of beef, turkey and pork) can be topped - all served in a friendly and very individual manner by Gabriel. More is not possible...

We were guests in this rustic brewery, beautifully located on the Rhine, with a Groupon potato pancake voucher. Since the potato pancakes tasted very good and the female waiter was more than nice, we treated ourselves to another voucher and I have to say, they looked great again, but the taste really wasn't like potato pancakes. Unfortunately, they tasted like meat/sausage dishes that had previously been prepared in the pan/fryer. I don't think that's professional and I didn't like it either. Nevertheless, we give it 4 stars and hope to be able to eat Rievkooche again on our next visit, which tastes like nothing else.

On May 25th We stopped at the Stapelhaus as part of my bachelor party. It was simply fantastic! The meal was delicious. Sandra in particular made our stay particularly pleasant and created an unforgettable atmosphere. The cozy furnishings and the wonderful view rounded off the experience perfectly. I was there with my partner on Father's Day in the best weather. As expected, all hell broke loose in the old town and the restaurants and their outdoor areas and it was very difficult to find a place. But not on the “roof terrace” here in the Stapelhaus. Lots of free places with the best views. The service was super friendly and quick. The food was absolutely delicious and at a more than reasonable price. Would love to come back. Short and sweet, great. That gives 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very tasty Kölsch, nice service, great food, nice view of the Rhine

We had booked a JGA tour. A meal in the restaurant was booked as part of this tour. There were 3 dishes to choose from. Since I have an intolerance, I asked if I could have the schnitzel listed without breading, i.e. as a steak with the fries. This was answered in the negative and I could order the second dish. I told them that I wasn't allowed to eat this either. I was then told that I could then order something from the regular menu. For example, there would be beef steak, but I would have to pay extra for it. Then I asked if I could at least get credit for it, since I had already paid XY amount for the meal. This was also denied. I asked if I could please ask the boss. This was ultimately done. “Exceptionally” it would be possible to get a steak especially for me instead of the schnitzel. I find it sad how people are immediately brushed off. It's not rocket science for a restaurant to put a steak on the plate instead of a schnitzel. Regardless of which menu you (have to) order from. It's a shame that people don't try to help the guest on their own initiative or at least ask questions.

Delicious food, cold Kölsch and a top Köbes team!

Always happy to sit and have a drink with a beautiful view of the Rhine from the terrace. But no longer for eating. The burger only tastes like fat, the fries are soggy. The cutlet was also just fatty, and the fried potatoes weren't particularly good either.

Unfortunately the terrace was not open and there was a party event in the restaurant. But we were able to sit outside. The waitress, Manu, was super nice. The food was very good and it wasn't that expensive.

The food there is very good and filling. Prices are ok for the drinks too, the service was quick and attentive.

Yesterday we had our 2nd Elvis regulars' table in the Stapelhaus. It's rare to be treated so well. No matter whether food, service and more. There is constructive collaboration and it doesn't work, it doesn't exist. We Elvis people feel very comfortable and hope to be able to remain guests in the Stapelhaus for a long time. We came across this restaurant on our first evening in Cologne, there are a lot of them 😀. The food was so great that we decided to have it again for the next two evenings! Very large portions and everything with the best ingredients. Heaven and earth, Rhenish sauerbraten, Cologne grill plate, schnitzel, all very tasty 😋 😋 definitely recommended, the Kölsch was also delicious 🍻 The staff was very friendly and attentive - high praise - Keep it up!!!

Fast, efficient and friendly service. Delicious food and many thirst quenchers are on offer. Recommendation: 500g cutlet with fried potatoes and a small salad.

We went to the Stapelhaus today without a reservation and had a really good meal with a view of the Rhine and the Hyatt Hotel. There was rump steak (300gr, I think it was more😂) with salad and fries as well as turkey medallions with fresh noodles and mushroom sauce. The food was more than plentiful and excellent. It's a miracle that you can still find this in Cologne's old town. Highly recommended with a clear conscience!

Large shop on the Rhine with German cuisine. The grill counter is (too) big, you leave it full. The Aperol was well made. The waiter passes by regularly and is friendly. I just miss that there's no music being played

Good food, nice staff, an authentic restaurant

Das Essen ist ganz gut. Die Bedienung allerdings miserabel und wird bei Beschwerden auch noch patzig. Teilweise wartet man eine halbe Stunde bis zum nächsten Kölsch, was noch ärgerlicher ist, wenn das Essen gerade serviert wurde. Insgesamt ist der Laden viel zu laut, man versteht sich nur, wenn man sich anschreit. Nichts für empfindliche Ohren. Ich rate von diesem Laden ab und werde selbst dort nicht mehr hin gehen. Unterm Strich wird es diesem Laden egal sein, denn ausreichend Touristen werden immer wieder in die Stadt gespült, die dort auch nur einmal essen und nie wieder kommen. Als Kölner sollte man die Altstadt generell meiden. Nur leider gab es für unsere Weihnachtsfeier woanders keine freien Plätze mehr.

Leider war ich vom Essen nicht überzeugt. Alles sehr klein und abgezählt. Kantine würde hierzu passen. Salat in Mini Schalen, lieblos auf dem Teller, nicht gewürzt ä, Kräuterbutter eher Mini Mini, reichte für 2-3 Stückchen. Preisleistung eher nicht gegeben! Schade Aber danke für den schnellen Service und das Ambiente ist auch super.

Schon sehr auf Touristen ausgerichtet mit Essen in durchschnittlicher Massenqualität. Kölsch kann man trinken.

Das Essen war gut und recht große Portionen, war ich überrascht. Qualität war noch angemessen. Leider sehr laut die Akustik ist nicht so schön, preislich für Köln ganz ok. Das Parken unverschämt teuer 2,5 Stunden für 9 Euro auf der anderen Rheinseite find ich schon frech.

Lecker Essen und lecker Kölsch Sogar alkoholfrei 😂. Prima Stimmung. Gerne wieder. Lustige Bedienung.

First time there, nice view and delicious "Dom"-Spieß.

Da ich sehr gerne Haxe esse, und auf Nachfrage beim Kellner gesagt wurde das sie gut ist habe ich sie bestellt. Leider ich wurde enttäuscht.

Der rheinische Sauerbraten war schon sehr zäh. Entweder hatte das Rind ein sehr langes Leben oder das Fleisch war nicht lange genug eingelegt. Meine Kolleginnen haben das bestätigt. Die Beilagen waren auch nicht überragend.

Schönes Kölner Lokal. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir waren am Samstag Abend da es war sehr Laut , voll und sehr unruhig ..Grund war auch das ständig eine Gruppe die Brauhaus führungen machte Rhein und raus gingen. Dann fand ich es auch sehr schade das man einfach fremde Personen an den Tisch gesetzt bekommt. Und diese Personen auch noch fresch waren schlimm. Die Service Dame war mega freundlich und hat viel mit uns gelacht und war einfach supper💐😂 Das Essen war soweit okay bis auf die Bratkartoffeln waren bei uns allen der Untergang sehr hell , kein Speck, keine Zwiebel , nicht knusprig keinen Geschmack würde mich nicht wundern wenn das ein vertig Produkt ist. Dennoch wenn man nur mal schnell was trinken möchte und einen kleinen Happen essen möchte ist da gut aufgehoben.

Bestes Kölsch und super Service mit schönem Blick auf den Rhein meine Persönliche Lieblingsbar in Köln (Liebe Grüße auch nochmal an den Freundlichen Kellner der meinem Kumpel nen Glas Wasser gebracht hat als der schon aufgegeben hatte)

drei Tage vorher Tisch für 15 Personen reserviert, Abends hingekommen, geschlossene Gesselschaft. Kein Tisch für uns und wieder weggeschickt worden. Unfassbar!

Essen und Service war super. Ein uriges Lokal mit gutem Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis mit tollen Blick auf den Rhein. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Tolle Location in der Kölner Altstadt, quasi fast am Rhein. Schönes Brauhaus mit freundlichem Service, leckerem Essen und frisch gezapfte Kölsch. Absolut empfehlenswert. Auch gut geeignet für kleine Gruppen. Angenehmes Publikum.

Wir hatten einen so schönen Abend im Stapelhaus! Das Essen und der Köbes waren hervorragend! Wir hatten ein zweijähriges Kind dabei, auch das war kein Problem, alle waren sehr freundlich.
