Really good Kölsch. You might have to wait a bit.

We stumbled upon Peter's Brauhaus by chance. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was quick and attentive. A definite recommendation!

I haven't been there for a long time because 6 months ago I didn't think the food was good. But now I wanted to try it again. Extremely disappointed again. Service waiter great. friendly as always and always ready for a chat. Now the kitchen. I have been a master chef myself for many years and am now retired. I wanted something quick and easy to eat. Ordered schnitzel with potato salad, 5 minutes later the gray thing came to the plate. Finished potato salad from the bucket, shaped schnitzel 2 pieces. Same size so TK.Ware. Frozen. Fried in the hairdresser Garnish, unwashed lettuce leaf, cucumber slice and tomato wedge Schnitzel dry potato salad Bruckmann. No more Peter's Brauhaus at the cathedral. But colleagues warned me

Unfortunately we left without even trying the food. We were hoping to sit outside and enjoy our meal, but we were very rudely reprimanded twice. We also asked where to sit and were told to just choose a table. When we sat down, it was rudely explained to us that 1. the tables were not available if the chairs were ajar, and when we moved around, 2. that the table was not available because there were still dirty glasses on it. Both times we were treated in an incredibly rude tone, which is why we left. It's disappointing to be treated this way, especially when there is a simple issue or misunderstanding about the space. I expect a lot more politeness from a place trying to attract customers.

Unfortunately, the food is just average and doesn't blow anyone away. The lighting is a bit dim when eating, the service seems unfocused, brings the wrong drink and billing doesn't seem to be their strength either. There are plenty of better breweries!

So far this has been a nice starting point for our company. The food is good, but unfortunately the friendliness is no longer present when there are more visitors. Due to the disrespectful and extremely unfriendly behavior, we will refrain from further visits.

The place is beautiful, the service is good Food was disappointing, potatoe soup extremely salt. My husband appetizer, the description was much better than the reality, which was only a bread and a piece of cheese

A good place to eat traditional German food. Kölsch is tasty but you have only 0.2cl optiom in the menu which is very small to be honest.

Authentic germany! I wish I knew about this places when I started living in Europe. It is simply amazing to go to a place filled with people having a great time with good bear, a meal and a laugh. Recommended.

Come to Cologne every couple of years for a trade fair. Never miss a visit to Peter's.

Traditional and well known. Without a reservation it will be difficult. Schnitzel was tasty and service was okay too.

The desserts are amazing, and the beer was pretty good, too.

Excellent Traditional German food on old market area

Great carnival party. Mixed audience. The Kölsch tasted good. Fast service.

We were there with a group of 23 people on a Wednesday evening. Although it was full and therefore very noisy, we were served friendly and didn't have to wait long for our food. Everyone was more or less satisfied with the taste. The mashed potatoes were quite poor when eaten plain but still recommended overall. Portions and prices were reasonable.

Good food in a suitable setting! Absolutely perfect value for money. Despite their stressful jobs, the servers are very friendly. The plates are attractively decorated, and the portions are large enough for even the most hungry guests. The kitchen does a great job; despite the never-ending stream of guests, the quality of the food remains high, and the food arrives piping hot (assuming you've ordered something hot 😁). The noise level is high, but that's perfectly normal with so many happy, chatty guests.

West German cuisine also tastes very tasty!

Was there for carnival, great atmosphere, €15 in ,, 25 lads drinking like fish , they were very nice , but I felt they took advantage, a bottle of water was €12:50 ,,, then €15 ,,, just because ‘That’s the price NOW “ ,,,, so Peter , won’t be back again

Everything was right here! The service staff were super funny and despite their stressful work, they always kept an eye on our table. I would recommend a reservation, we missed it and were lucky to get a table for 6. Only had to wait 5 minutes. We were all really happy with our food, among other things we had the Brauhauspfanne, Himmel und Äd and the pork knuckle. Everything delicious! In hindsight I have to say that we really liked it best in Cologne here at the Peters Brauhaus. And we tried pretty much all the breweries... we'd love to come back!

I really want to rate the food 4.8 out of 5, but other than that, this place is German perfection according to my American stomach, eyes, and patience level. The server answered all of our questions without getting impatient. My better half ordered the breaded fish, which ranks in the top 3 I've ever tried. I had the sausage with cabbage and bacon potatoes. The sausage was a bit dry for my taste, but that's probably a me thing. The rest of my dish was fantastic, and the servers continued to refill our drinks without us asking until we gave the signal to stop. That kind of service doesn't exist in the United States or the country we currently call home. If you want fantastic authentic German food and beer, come to Peter's Brauhaus but get there before they open, or you might be in line for quite a while.

We had reserved a table for 10 people the day before and then reserved 2 more seats, which wasn't a problem, but then it gets cozy, that's what we said on the phone. Unfortunately, when we got there it wasn't that tight to sit there. When the waiter asked, the three of us were kindly seated at a table where there was a sign, free until 5:45 p.m. Then the waiter came and said we had to leave, it was busy and that wouldn't work. So we left the brewery and went somewhere else, apparently you don't have to rely on the money. The rest of our group wasn't particularly keen on the price/performance ratio either, the food wasn't great... In general, I find Cologne very expensive when it comes to gastronomy.

Cool old-school atmosphere, short waiting time for dishes, great service and delicious food! The prices are a bit too high in my opinion, but I highly recommend them!

Beer was unfortunately very slow, but the height was that we were told "that it was appropriate for our children (note 3 and 5 years) to sit at the table". Very unfriendly and we won't go here anymore. If you can't do "Brauhaus", then don't do it!

Delicious beer, food and cool kebese

Classic german beer house and food. The food was good and the apple strudel was also successful. Our waiter was from Bosnia and Herzegovina and was very good with his energetic, friendly and fast service.

Actually ZERO stars because we were arrogantly turned away from the entrance three times, even though there were plenty of free seats. I know Rhenish hospitality differently.

The knuckle and everything else we ordered was very good.

This place is a must in the city of Cologne (Köln). Your trip wasn’t complete until you tried the Koelsch bier, (made here). As plates, I highly recommend these two: Hummel un Äd and the Kassler mit Weinsauerkraut.

We have tasted the Knuckle pork with sauerkraut and mashed potato, and it was tasty and perfectly done. Try the small pint of Kolsch local bier. Service could be faster

Located in the heart of the old town and highly recommended. Especially the Rhenish Sauerbraten and a delicious, cool Kölsch. Nice service, communicative and motivated. I'll be back.

Had five beers here. The waiters treated people eating way better than those just drinking. The vibe was nice, good for big groups. But seriously, a place like this not accepting card payments? They wouldn’t take my card..felt like a joke. Never went back, just didn’t feel comfortable…

The building and interiors is lovely, the stuff is a bit rude. We waited to be seated for a while without no one acknowledging us. The waiter was not polite at all. The food was very average, the schnitzel was a disappointment.

A worker of the restaurant tell us to sit. A coworker of him (a woman), without asking to us and without asking to anything, tell us to leave the site with unpolitness and bad manners. They should fire her, a total deception.

Highly recommended. Especially if you, as a tourist, want to get to know one of the “Cologne” ways of life :)

It was our last day in Colonia and we wanted to eat in a good place. We arrived at the restaurant and they gave us a seat but suddenly a very rude and rude employee arrived. She clearly doesn't know how to deal with customers, let alone foreigners. She kicked us out of the restaurant and we had to go have lunch somewhere else. My conclusion is that I don't recommend this place because of its service.

Very rustic restaurant and a must when you are in Cologne. But you should reserve in advance - otherwise you will be at the door. But it's worth it! Fast, friendly and competent service, which has practically read our wishes from our eyes on several occasions!

Every time I have something to do in Cologne, I try to go to a brewery in the evening. The experiences are quite mixed. I felt very comfortable at Peter's and really enjoyed the Kölsch and especially the delicious sauerbraten. Gladly again!

My favorite Cologne brewery! With the nicest Köbesen, the most wonderful atmosphere and the tastiest Kölsch! Edit: It's still the same after several years... :) Edit again: The female Köbese are not that friendly... But the food was delicious as always! And the Kölsch anyway! Further edit: The female Köbes was once again a bit grumpy, but friendly. The service can be improved!! Maybe more staff is needed at lunchtime!? Prices have also increased significantly! The meat dishes now all cost over 20 euros! :/ Food was - as always - delicious!!!

If you are in Cologne, you should visit a brewery, here you can find the Cologne customs, eat typically Cologne, and of course also drink Cologne.

Went without a resercation, quickly seated and ordered. Their house made lager was delicious and the food top notch, prob one of the best lagers. I had the coconut & carrot soup and the Turkey w/ bacon potatoes. You can tell this food was made by a top chef. You get great beers and top quality food. Definitely coming back.

The building is quite beautiful. The service is underground. Just what people in Cologne mean by “local color”. The food is hearty, uninspired and expensive.

If you are not German, I do not recommend you to come. Since we were 5 people, we waited in line at the door and sat at a table shown by the waiter. Then the other waiter, who we asked for an English menu, told us that the table is reserved and that we should move on to another table. Although the almost whole restaurant is empty, I think it is entirely racist that he tries to try to remove us from that table. It could have been the most beautiful place I've been to, but we've seen the worst behavior

A very nice brewery inside, quieter than the other Cologne breweries I know. You don't sit so close together, so you could still have a conversation. The menu reflects typical Cologne dishes at fair prices. Table booking is possible via online reservation.

Great! May it be the food there which is delicious and generous. The authentic servers, and the atmosphere like home. You will leave there with a full stomach. We got it for €60 with 2 dishes, 4 Früh & 1 still water. Very reasonable when you see the quantities!

Quería un plato tradicional alemán y fui por Snitzel y fue divino. Mi compañero pidió estofado pero no quedó impresionado. Tenían a Riesling, que me encanta. Mi compañero pidió su cerveza aunque no es fan pero le encantó. Su strudel de manzana era delicioso.

No recomiendo este lugar. Solía ir muchas veces en el pasado. Ahora se han convertido en un montón de racistas. Servicio muy horrible y horrible, y pretenden una propina también!

A lingering smell of grease, but large portions, good beer

Wonderful holiday in Cologne (Germany). Stylish, welcoming place where you can find good German food and fabulous beer. Helpful staff and very tidy services.

It's a brewery and so is the atmosphere.

Was a little disappointed. I've been here before and it was great, but somehow things didn't go well that evening. Service wasn't that nice even though it wasn't too busy. And due to the fact that it wasn't that full, we had hoped to be able to sit down properly with a group of 8 people, but we had to stand very relaxed near the entrance, where we were always miles away from the staff. Only had 1 beer and left Too bad. I hope next time will be better.

Went twice during a few days' stay. The kölsch is fresh and crispy, the food is delicious, generous and well priced, and the service was great on our first visit, so we'll try forget about the rude waitress we got the second time. Overall a very good experience.

The fourth pub I visited in these two days. But not the fourth place, I liked this pub more than the previous ones (Schumacher Dusseldorf and others)! Ein entspannter Abend bei Kölsch und leckeren Speisen in einem urtypischen Kölner Brauhaus. Guter Service- leckere Gerichte zu einnem sehr angemessenen Preis. Die Lage in Rheinnähe, mit Museen und der Kölner Philharmonie fast vor der Tür ein idealer Treffpunkt.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, the service is fast and the waiters are very friendly.

Delicious typical German food! The Schnitzel is delicious, as is the Bratwurst. I would go back to the restaurant a thousand times! In addition, the beer is light and delicious and the staff is very nice and wears cool pins on their ties.

Rarely have I seen such unfriendly service! My penns were pretty bad but the potato gratin was delicious! The salads were also very good but the potatoes from the brauhaus pan weren't that good either and for the price I expect some quality. What shocks me most is the way the service staff treats the guests.

We were there today with the family and my 93 year old mother-in-law (in a wheelchair). Such great, friendly, courteous and helpful service! Despite the short wait (we were too early), everything was made possible so that we could get a place. The food was great and very tasty. My husband talks about the best pork knuckle ever. We look forward to the lovely stay and the wonderfully collected memories. Absolute recommendation!

Very good quality food! We were very well attended to, we had to wait a bit to get a table but it was super quick. The pork knuckle was very good and the apple pie dessert was also good. The waiter who served us was very helpful and friendly!
