Beste Qualität, lecker und auch nicht alltägliche Speisen. Immer wieder gerne vor dem Besuch der Comedia Köln im selben Haus.

I was there last time. I really liked the store, especially the atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately the quality of the food and the staff has declined greatly. The final highlight was a wild garlic risotto, after which my partner and I felt really bad and my partner even had to vomit... just disappointing!

Were there for the first time at Carnival. Location really top and crowd also very pleasant. Drinks were quick and easy to get. However, the entrance fee of €40 seemed way too high to me and the DJ was a disaster. It's a shame, otherwise it would have been a really good party

The location is very nice and big. Unfortunately not recommended for carnival. Far too expensive for the offer only to find out at 8 p.m. that the tickets only cost €20 instead of €40.

We were in the carnival at the carnival and paid €40 per ticket in advance - unfortunately a disappointment. The advance line was longer than the box office, and after 2-3 hours the tickets at the box office were suddenly reduced to €20. Unfortunately, the DJs were also a disaster: no transitions, songs played for far too long, and the music selection was disappointing. As a result, there was hardly any mood. Overall not what you expect for the price. Too bad.

Stylisches Ambiente, aufmerksames Servicepersonal, sehr schmale Speisenkarte. Meine Wahl (Vegan-Burger) war wohl unglücklich: auseinander fallende Körner, eher fettige Pommes mit Mayo - vegan??? Da gibt‘s ordentlich Verbesserungspotenzial.

Very nice atmosphere. There are also vegetarian and vegan options. The "seitan ragout" was very bad (just tasted like a block of tofu). The vegan burger is quite good. Price-performance is rather medium.

Can't recommend the food at all. I ordered a schnitzel with potato salad here for just under €20. I have never had such a small schnitzel in a restaurant. Nobody at the table liked the potato salad either. We could only eat it with lots of salt and pepper. Overall: I didn't get full for a lot of money. Don't come back.

No recommendation. I was there for carnival. Both the manager and the security struck me as unpleasantly aggressive. It's a shame that something like this still exists in Cologne. It wasn't a nice atmosphere.

Wir waren von 18.30 bis ca 21.15 im Restaurant. Der Service war nett und professionell, das Essen gut. Preislich alles angemessen. Bei etwa zwei Drittel Besetzung war der Geräuschpegel zwar erhöht, aber die Verständigung hat trotzdem bei uns ( alle 60+/70+) gut funktioniert. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend in interessantem Ambiente.

Super friendly and attentive service! The bacon and vegan burgers are really delicious and the vegan meatballs are also very good! There was a quick bowl of water for the little dog! It was a wonderful evening and we would love to come back!

Great ambience. Beautifully restored. Map clear. But okay. 2 out of 4 meals were rather mediocre. It tasted burnt and bland But everything looks great, only the taste is mediocre to not very good... doesn't fit the high price and upscale ambience. I was hoping for more. Delicious food but quite expensive. Absolutely great atmosphere! Service was friendly, but unfortunately often a bit distracted in conversations with other guests. The price of the menu would have to be adjusted slightly downwards, then the Wagenhalle would have the potential to become one of the top locations in the city!

Nicht die Fischsuppe bestellen! Eher Tomazensuppe mit hartem Gemüse und keine 50g Fischeinlage; dazu Brot versteinert mit alter Majo.

Excellent cuisine. The Wiener schnitzel is incredible. Served with lingonberry jam. But the prices are high. The check for two was 72 euros.

Too expensive for the quality offered. The food was okay overall, but both the vegetables and the sauce were barely seasoned. The roast also lacked salt - although it was tender, the taste was disappointing, which was clearly due to the preparation. The second dish from my companion was similarly bland. For a whopping €27, as a person who doesn't eat much, I wasn't even full. At this price and the upscale appearance, I expect the dishes to be perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, we both had to add a lot of salt, and that's not a good sign for a restaurant. The ambience and prices suggest more than is ultimately offered. Although you can spend a pleasant evening here in a nice atmosphere and with good wine, the quality of the food urgently needs to be improved. At the moment it seems more trying than convincing. Under these circumstances I wouldn't go there again.

We were there for a wedding. Possibility to open earlier. Good and very friendly service. Delicious food, unfortunately only lightly seasoned. The wedding card is very good value for money. Great location, old fire station tells history and a very nice shady backyard. Children friendly. We'd love to come back.

Wir konnten bei schönem Wetter draußen sitzen. Werden wir immer wieder so machen. Essen gut.Empfehlenswert! Und dabei am Sonntagmittag erstaunlicherweise garnicht mal so voll.

Ich kann die Wagenhalle als Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. Gutes und leckeres Essen. Nette, zuvorkommende Bedienung. Alle Getränkewünsche wurden umgehend erfüllt. Und für mich sehr wichtig: Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Gerne wieder.

Visually, the restaurant and the food are stunning. Super modern, well-kept and friendly. Unfortunately the food was almost unseasoned. The asparagus and potatoes in particular had never seen a grain of salt. A pity. Especially here, seasoning afterwards is rather stupid. The asparagus was also extremely firm to the bite. In addition, the portion was quite small - especially considering the very impressive price. 32 euros for the schnitzel, 12 euros for a dessert. Phew. The service was very friendly and very attentive at first - but the busier it got, the more we had to fight for attention. In addition, the toilets are really substandard. Something urgently needs to be done in terms of smell and cleanliness. It's a shame, as the store really has a lot of potential with its beautiful terrace and cool interior.

Small snack bar with great food and good and very tasty dishes. The menu offered includes a drink and is very inexpensive. Absolutely recommended.

A gem in the middle of Cologne's southern part of town on Elsassstr. Beautiful landscaped backyard that is fully occupied when the weather is nice. Food fresh and rich. Service friendly and accommodating. Ambience outside, very nice and cozy and child-friendly.

The service team was very attentive and always friendly. The decoration and the courtyard were very nicely decorated and created a nice atmosphere. We had to wait almost an hour for our food. One of the waitresses noticed and apologized. Unfortunately the food wasn't nearly as good. The burger including a small portion of fries and a choice of sauces (ketchup or mayo) cost an incredible €19.50. The price would have been appropriate if the price-performance ratio had been appropriate. However, the citizen's bread was very tasteless and the taste and consistency gave me the impression that it wasn't fresh at all. The burger patty was completely done. We weren't even asked how we wanted it and it tasted very neutral. As already mentioned, the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. From a personal point of view, not tasty at all. It's a shame actually. It's fine for just drinking, I don't recommend it for eating.

Service was very nice and polite, atmosphere special and very confused. Unfortunately the food was absolutely not worth the money. For 7€ a small starter soup (red lentils & ginger) which initially didn't taste like anything. For the main course I chose the schnitzel, which cost just under €30, which on the one hand was shockingly small and on the other hand was a joke in terms of quality and taste. The side dishes didn't taste like anything and were very bland. Wouldn't come again.

Actually a very nice location, the place has a lot of potential, but after 3 visits it's always the same picture: there's always a lot of staff, but unfortunately on all visits they weren't focused on the guests, but on other aspects of a catering business (stocking up, Carrying 2 bottles to the bar etc.). This indicates a very poor use of staff if none of the many waiters feel responsible for the guests and you as a guest have the feeling that you are disturbing the employees. Prices for food are horrendous. On Friday we also observed how a waiter draped 8 small tarts/pralines from the cake shelf onto a plate without cutlery/tongs but with his hands and then served them to an unsuspecting woman. Bon appetit!

Pleasant atmosphere. Industrial look with good food. Unfortunately the service is terrible. My table neighbor was literally showered with beer by the nice but inexperienced waitress. An apology came rather slowly and the floor under the chair was only mopped after being asked to do so. But the best came last. She was excused from ONE beer!

Definitely nice, but a complete disaster at Carnival. 35€ entry for a completely overcrowded party with middle-class music.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend in der Wagenhalle. Da wir in der Regel früh zum Essen gehen-18.00 Uhr-war das Restaurant noch nicht stark frequentiert. Weil es Personalengpässe in der Küche gab, wurde uns „nur“ eine abgespeckte Abendkarte gereicht. Die Auswahl war trotzdem groß genug; wir haben das Essen sehr genossen und werden sicher wiederkommen.

Carnival Saturday 2024: Admission 35 EUR in advance (last year it was apparently 25 EUR). No free drinks or anything else included. Cloakroom another 2 EUR, small fries 5 EUR. But the absolute impudence is 2.80 EUR for a 0.2l Kölsch and 11 (!) EUR for a bottle of water. You take it from the living. Then only cash payment, you can imagine why... Far too few toilets for far too many people (the women's toilet in particular was completely closed). Music was quite usable (two “floors”). Otherwise a total failure.

Expensive and way too crowded at carnival

If you want something quick to eat, you're in good, or at least satisfactory, hands. The two of us had dinner at 7 p.m. and the dining room emptied from 9 p.m., so that it really became a completely uncomfortable car hall. So not for a cozy evening for two, unless you like sitting there almost alone and accept that the staff is noticeably waiting for you to go home. Food in the area is still satisfactory.

The food is OK so far, the ambience and service are good, but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. Shrimp dumplings with mushrooms for 23 euros - not exactly cheap

Ich hatte schwarze Tagliatelle mit Riesengarnelen bestellt. Es waren 3 Garnelen. Für 18.50 Euro hätte ich eigentlich 5 Garnelen erwartet. Es war aber alles sehr lecker.

It's really nice after the renovation, but there's a bit of catching up to do in the kitchen. The food is rich and not bad, but it's very heavy on the stomach.

Ich habe einen Fleisch-Burger mit Fritten gegessen. Der Burger war leider nicht sehr heiß sondern nur lauwarm. Er hat mir dennoch geschmeckt. Insgesamt gehe ich gerne in die Wagenhalle. Es wäre schön, wenn das Speisenangebot noch etwas vergrößert werden könnte.

Leckeres Essen, aufmerksamer Service. Die alte Wagenhalle ist sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet. Wenn’s voll ist, kann es durch den Hall etwas lauter sein. Im Sommer toller Garten hinter dem Gebäude.

We recommend. Great atmosphere and very good food. The price is absolutely fair for this quality (for example, I recently ate wild goulash with spaetzle and red cabbage in a brewery for 29.90, although neither the spaetzle, the red cabbage or the sauce were freshly prepared - you can get the same dish here for 27.50) .

Das Ambiente gefällt mir sehr gut. Leider wurde dasHauptgericht mit der Vorsuppe zusammen serviert.Es kam dann der Vorschlag dasHauptgericht noch einmal warm zu halten( das geht bei Pommes aber gar nicht)… letztendlich habe ich meine Suppe dann abbestellt. Der Service war sehr freundlich . Burger Gericht liegt bei knapp unter 20€ das finde ich schon sehr ordentlich

Perfekt für ein Essen nach der Arbeit und vor dem Theaterabend. Wir sassen gemütlich hinter einer "Abtrennung", So das der Geräuschpegel zwar lebhaft aber noch okey für eine Unterhaltung war. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Essen gibt's in Klein und gross unterteilt was mir immer gut gefällt. Wir empfehlen klein zu wählen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Gasthaus mit hervorragendem Service. Die Hauptgerichte, wir hatten Burger und Burger vegan, können wir leider nicht empfehlen, da Fleisch trocken und gesamt etwas fade, allerdings war der Nachtisch sehr gut. Im ganzen entsprach die Qualität, nach unserem Geschmack, nicht dem Preis. Würde dem Lokal jedoch jederzeit eine zweite Chance geben.

. Die eine männliche Thekenkraft mittleren Alters war dermaßen unfreundlich heute bei der VdK Veranstaltung, dass ich beinahe gewillt war die Polizei wegen Beleidigung zu holen ;)... Ich frage mich welche Chef:innen so ein Personal in ihrem Betrieb arbeiten lassen. Denn ich als Kundin werde nicht wieder kommen. Schade. Die Veranstaltung an sich, sehr nett :)

Geburtstag Abendessen, es war ein runder Abend und es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt und gefallen. Service war auch toll, hatte immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht und war sehr freundlich. Nur die Aperitifs kamen nicht alle gleichzeitig, doof wegen anstoßen. Bis bald :)

Essen geschmaklich gut aber weit entfernt von der angepriesenen klassischen deutschen Küche. Auswahl zu gering. Service bemüht aber offensichtlich nicht aus der Gastronomie. Keine Ahnung bei Getränken. Was aber gar nicht geht ist, das nicht am Tisch abkassiert wird. Die Gruppe musste sich vorne an der Kasse anstellen um Geld loszuwerden..

Wie kann man SO UNFÄHIG mit einem Ticketverkauf umgehen. Erst Sonntags alle wegschicken weil “alles ausverkauft” und dann Mittwoch einen neuen Termin festlegen, 50 min früher starten und dann in 10 min ausverkauft sein. Wir haben uns teilweise frei genommen, um Tickets zu bekommen. Das nächste mal bitte einen online Verkauf organisieren oder sich an das halten, was man ankündigt. Danke

Ich hatte für 8 Personen reserviert. Dann mußte einen Tag zuvor wegen Krankheit 2 Plätze abmelden. Das war kein Problem. Aufgrund des schönen Wetters war für uns ein Tisch im wunderschönen Innenhof reserviert. Alles war perfekt. Wir können das Lokal ohne Einschränkungen weiter empfehlen.
