Food is good, sometimes cold. However, you often have the feeling that you are in a school or something similar, so far almost every time I have been here the staff were loudly discussing or loudly fooling around. It's cool to have fun at work, but it's unfortunately very annoying when it's so loud.
Some reviewers complain about the service and staff. I can't agree with that at all. Very friendly, very pleasant and very polite. If a mistake is made, someone will come right away to apologize for the inconvenience.
Only the toilet, both men's and women's, could sometimes use an occasional cleaning. The atmosphere is actually quite pleasant for an industrial port.
ACHTUNG!
Food was ok. However, I don't expect much from a furniture store restaurant.
Service was nice.
What I found really terrible, however, was the cleanliness.
There had definitely been fries at our table for a while because we were there for breakfast. Of course it can happen. But what didn't work at all was the games area. Actually beautifully constructed but so disgustingly dirty
We have been coming to the Felsenkeller for decades to eat and to spend a nice evening with very good beer in a great ambience. The last few visits lead us to believe that someone is "preparing food" in the kitchen that doesn't belong there. The quality of the dishes has deteriorated extremely and that doesn't match the very high prices! A "cup" of "asparagus cream soup" for €7.90 without asparagus pieces and without cream is a real impudence. It doesn't help if the waitress apologizes. After our last experience, we gave up on asparagus dishes straight away! So - the classic schnitzel with “cream sauce” and fried potatoes. The “sauce” was so mushy and artificial that it wanted to leave your body quickly..!😁 Then almost €90 for 2 people, you have to work on that! Unfortunately for us it was the last time in Felsenkeller. VERY Pity! Especially if you know the history and how the operators fought to keep it from being closed. We really hope that this wake-up call reaches you!
Many greetings Petras & Thorsten Fischer
When I go to a store, what does happy chicken mean, I assume that when I order chicken wings, I will get reasonable and, above all, homemade chicken wings. But no, I get almost burnt chicken wings that are super similar to those from the supermarket (frozen). For that money I could have picked up two or three packs from the supermarket and therefore had no idea about 50 chicken wings and perhaps not burned them because I was careful. Store owners like this should be ashamed of themselves. Especially when they renovate the place in such a pompous way to cover up how blind they are to the business.
The restaurant had a very well-known name, "Alberts Corner", and the concept was very successful.
The new operator of the restaurant has now closed the shop!
