Waren mit Womo auf der Durchreise. Konnten kostenlos auf dem Parkplatz übernachten. Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Bier auch sehr gut! Biergarten gemütlich. Bedienung freundlich...

Sternevergabe.... sehr schwierig. Wir waren auf der Durchreise mit dem Wohnmobil und konnten kostenfrei auf dem Parkplatz gegenüber stehen. Vielen Dank dafür! Sehr Freundliches Personal und guter Service. Ambiente ist schön und toller Außenbereich. Das Bier ist wirklich lecker. Aber das Essen macht die 5 Sternebewertung leider kaputt. Das ist kein gutes Essen (Auswahl gut, Zubereitung schlecht) für ein Brauhaus. Das Schnitzel macht keine Freude, die Soße einfach nur pampig, die Pommes latschig und nach altem Fett schmeckend... Das ist wirklich so schade! Bitte holt einen neue/n Koch/Köchin oder lasst die Küche mal in einen Basic Kochkurs gehen. Ansonsten wäre es eine wunderbare Bereicherung für die Region.

Der Besuch im Felsenkeller hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Zu unserer Überraschung gibt es hier sogar noch einen Raucher-Bereich. Obwohl wir schon 4 Jahre Nikotinfrei sind, riechen wir es immer noch sehr gerne. Aber ich schweife ab. Die Karte ist übersichtlich. Aber vollkommen ausreichend. Unsere Speisen waren sehr lecker. Obwohl wir Bratkartoffeln lieber etwas krosser mögen, waren sie sehr gut. Die vielen Mädels vom Service, die überall herumwuselten waren supernett und aufmerksam. Danke Mädels. Die Preise sind für die Speisen und den Service auf jeden Fall angemessen. Und gleich gegenüber durften wir im Wohnmobil pappsatt übernachten. Vielen Dank für eure Gastfreundschaft

Wir waren heute mit acht Personen im Brauhaus Rupp in Lauenau  zu Gast und leider insgesamt enttäuscht vom Service und der Organisation. Bereits zu Beginn mussten wir sehr lange auf die Speisekarten und später auch auf die Aufnahme der Bestellung warten. Auch während des Abends dauerte es immer wieder sehr lange, bis Getränke nachgebracht wurden oder überhaupt jemand vom Service vorbeikam. Bei den Bestellungen gab es zudem mehrere Fehler: Drei Gerichte wurden falsch serviert – statt Currywurst mit Bratkartoffeln kam Currywurst mit Pommes und Bratkartoffeln. Dadurch blieb unnötig viel Essen übrig. Meine Haxe war innen leider kalt, was den Eindruck machte, als wäre sie vergessen und dann nur noch schnell aufgewärmt worden. Besonders schade war, dass eine Reklamation kaum möglich war, da über längere Zeit niemand vom Service erreichbar war. Als wir das später angesprochen haben, reagierte die Bedienung leider eher unfreundlich und verwies darauf, dass wir uns früher hätten melden sollen – was aufgrund der langen Wartezeiten kaum möglich war. Das Ambiente ist grundsätzlich schön und das Brauhaus hat Potenzial, aber beim Service und der Ablauforganisation gibt es aus unserer Sicht deutlichen Verbesserungsbedarf.

Das Bier ist der Hammer. Super lecker. Das Essen schmeckt auch sehr gut. Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben am 10.05.26 kostenlos die Brauerei besichtigt und die Flut an Informationen war schlicht überwältigend und alle Fragen wurden ausführlich beantwortet. Einen Pullover dabei zu haben ist nicht schlecht denn im den Katakomben des Kühlkellers ist es a.....kalt. Für Menschen die schlecht Treppen steigen können ist es schon problematisch.

Ein total unaufmerksamer Service, beim Eintritt in das Lokal, nur eine Bemerkung man kann den Platz frei wählen, nur da nicht wo Reserviert darauf steht. Man nimmt Platz, wartet 10 Minuten, es kommt kein Service, dann bin ich aufgestanden und habe zwei Speisekarten selbst vom Tressen geholt, dann kam die Service Kraft und fragte nach den Getränken, die kamen sehr schnell.Bei der Speisewunsch Annahme wurde gesagt, man muss erst in der Küche nachfragen ob die Beilage getauscht werden kann, zurück ja geht, kostet aber 3,10 Euro Extra, dann kam das Essen, man hatte das Gefühl, es war das fünfte Mal aufgewärmt, kein Geschmack, Bratkartoffeln schwarz, zwischen Durch keine Nachfrage ob alles in Ordnung ist. Die Kretik wurde angenommen, der Preis reduziert. Dafür gehe ich in kein Lokal, dieser Laden geht nur zum Biertrinken, dass ist sehr gut und schmeckt auch gut.

Sehr leckeres Essen und nette Bedienung. Schönes alte Gastwirtschaft mit neuen Kupferteilen. Leider war es etwas kalt, es war an einem Mittwoch nicht viel los.

Das Ambiente war sehr angenehm und hat gefallen. Das Essen war zwar nicht schlecht aber auch nicht außergewöhnlich gut, es war eben „ok“. Der Service wirkte ungeschult und nicht professionell. Insgesamt muss ich sagen, dass das Ambiente das einzig Gute war und ich leider nicht nochmal kommen würde.

Wir mussten 30 Minuten auf unsere Bestellung warten, und weitere 30 Minuten vergingen, bis das Essen kam. Die Bedienung ignorierte uns komplett. Das Essen war extrem überteuert. Fünfzehn Euro für eine Reispfanne, die vor Öl triefte und ungenießbar war. Zwölf Euro für eine Ofenkartoffel mit Sauerrahm; am Ende bekamen wir eine winzige Kartoffel mit Sauerrahm, die zudem nicht richtig durchgegart und schwer zu essen war. Auch wenn die Inneneinrichtung und das Ambiente schön sind, kann ich dieses Restaurant leider absolut nicht empfehlen.

Super Haxe und sehr gutes Bier, nur das Sauerkraut war alle. Freundlicher Service.

Wir waren am Ostersonntag(2026) dort zum Essen, Tisch war reserviert. Die Bedienung war Klasse und die Osterkarte war von reichhaltiger Auswahl. Wir aßen Krustenbraten, Rotkohl und Kartoffeln mit kräftiger Sosse. Es war ein Genuss ! Dazu ein Rupp-Bier. Herrlich. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen. Danke an den Wirt, wir kommen wieder.👍👍

Wir waren zu Ostern dort essen (Reservierung emofohlen). Das Restaurant mit dem Braukessel in der Mitte ist sehr gemütlich. Es gab eine Osterkarte, wir nahmen einen vorzüglichen Krustenbraten mit Rotkohl und Kartoffeln. Einfach top. Wie kommen sicher mal wieder!

Vor 20 Jahren gut in allem. Dann der Absturz mit der Küche.Ich bin im Abstand von ca.4 Jahren da immer mal hin zum Essen,jedes Mal eine Enttäuschung. Das letzte mal vor einer Woche.Der Service war bemüht,sind halt Aushilfskräfte,aber ok.Das Essen Unterirdisch,3 verschiedene Gerichte.Interresant und Charm hat der Kneipenbereich,dort gibt's nur zu Trinken und Rauchen ist erlaubt.Nur fehlende Musik im Hintergrund fehlt und die Stille ist Erdrückend. Für mich war es definitiv das letzte Mal das ich dort Eingekehrt bin.

Essen unterirdisch schlecht, da ist ein Stern noch zu viel. Und das zu unverschämt hohen Preisen. Einzig die nette Bedienung konnte den Abend noch etwas retten.

Wir haben das Wochenende auf dem kostenfreien Stellplatz an der Brauerei gestanden. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren (z.B. Steinhuder Meer). Auch der Felsenkeller mit dem schönen Biergarten, dem leckeren Rupp Bräu und der guten rustikalen Küche sind hervorragend. Danke dafür…

Sehr freundliches Personal und tolle Atmosphäre. Leider war unsere Gans zu Weihnachten überhaupt nicht gut, da sehr trocken. Würde dem lokal dennoch eine zweite Chance geben, da ich denke das sie andere Gerichte besser können.

Heute Abend mit den Jungs hier n Bierchen jezischt. Service janz jut und freundlisch. Einjangsbereisch riecht leider etwas nach Rauch, für die Gläser gilt dat Gleiche. Essen janz jut und essbar, auf Sonderwünsche wird jerne Rücksicht jenommen. Insjesamt also ne janz ordentliche Gaststätte.

bestellt wurde ein Argentinisches Rumpsteak 200g ohne Zwiebeln und gekommen ist Schmorzwiebeln mit einem Rumpsteak darunter vergraben, mit trockenen Pommes, die Zwiebeln runtergeschoben und zum Glück hatte das Steak noch kein Zwiebelgeschmack angenommen. Es wurde bestellt medium gekommen ist blutig aber man konnte es noch einigermaßen genießen.

Service war super, neben der normalen Karte gab es auch ein Grünkohl-Menü. Das Essen war super lecker, selten so ein gutes Schnitzel gegessen. Das hausgebraute Bier war wie immer ein absolutes Highlight. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen ist leider in den letzten Jahren schlechter geworden, wir gehen eigentlich nur noch in den Biergarten im Sommer um was zu trinken. Was für mich als Biertrinker aber schade ist, ich bin kein Riesen RuppBräu Fan, das Bier wird hier selbst in der eigenen Brauerei gebraut. Leider halt nicht mein Fall, aber das ist Geschmacksache was mich aber ärgert, das es kein Weizen Bier gibt, kann ich null Komma null nachvollziehen - grade wenn man kein eigenes hat kann man dies ja wohl zumindest in Flaschen dazu kaufen und seinen Kunden ausschenken Absolut unverständlich und für mich leider auch einen Grund den Biergarten nicht mehr zu besuchen da ich lieber Weizenbier trinke als normales Kauft doch bitte einfach schönes Benediktiner und bietet das euren Gästen an. Ich würde auch empfehlen dazu ein neutrales normales Flaschenbier für alle anzubieten die vielleicht wie ich keine RuppBräu Fans sind - Heineken & Benediktiner sind doch keine Konkurrenz für euch - aber die Gäste haben eine Auswahl und kommen wieder zu euch Ist doch besser als wenn diese gar nicht erst kommen Schade

In July 2023, I purchased a 2-liter bottle of Rupp Bräu. I had to pay a "fee" of €12 for the bottle, in addition to the price of the beer. Assuming it was a deposit bottle, I wanted to return the bottle in June 2025. The customer service explained to me that I could exchange it for a new bottle of beer. A refund is not possible. Now I have an empty bottle in my cellar for €12. I have a different idea of ​​sustainability. It would be nice if the service staff at the Felsenkeller would clearly point out this exchange policy when selling the bottle.

Went there for dinner today. 2 currywursts with fries, 1 Obazda (traditional German sausage). The fries were a disaster, the sausage so-so. A steep price for such a meal. No side salad, no curry on the sausage. It used to be cheaper and better. The waitress pointed out the bad fries. No apology and no price reduction. That was it for us. Never again.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder einen Besuch. Die Spargelkarte genossen der Spargel war an den Spitzen und an den Enden braun das Schnitzel dazu von minderer Qualität das war's danke schön

We have been coming to the Felsenkeller for decades to eat and to spend a nice evening with very good beer in a great ambience. The last few visits lead us to believe that someone is "preparing food" in the kitchen that doesn't belong there. The quality of the dishes has deteriorated extremely and that doesn't match the very high prices! A "cup" of "asparagus cream soup" for €7.90 without asparagus pieces and without cream is a real impudence. It doesn't help if the waitress apologizes. After our last experience, we gave up on asparagus dishes straight away! So - the classic schnitzel with “cream sauce” and fried potatoes. The “sauce” was so mushy and artificial that it wanted to leave your body quickly..!😁 Then almost €90 for 2 people, you have to work on that! Unfortunately for us it was the last time in Felsenkeller. VERY Pity! Especially if you know the history and how the operators fought to keep it from being closed. We were very enthusiastic about the food, the really nice service and the beautiful ambience. We arrived with our camper (via Landfreuden) and had a great night's sleep here. We can highly recommend the Felsenkeller :).

Bloß kein Essen mit Pommes Frites oder Bratkartoffeln bestellen - die sind ungenießbar - matschig + ungewöhnlich fettig

I had a completely successful experience at the Felsenkeller Rupp Bräu brewery! I received a warm welcome on the phone and the service on site was also impressive - despite the training still being ongoing, with impressive friendliness, fun and absolute professionalism. There were six of us and everyone was more than satisfied. The food came promptly and exactly as ordered, and the beer was at just the right temperature. A real experience that leaves you wanting more. I'll definitely be back - clear 5 stars!

Looking inviting from the outside, you get the first question marks as soon as you enter. Where are you going? Nobody there? Who is a guest and who is a worker here? So let's find a place. Then there is an employee who brings the cards and takes drinks. Later, I noted the dishes quite haphazardly and probably assumed that we could read and go to the salad thing ourselves. The main courses... Schnitzel not completely breaded, with mushroom cream and crispy fries. Dry pork fillet with soggy potato fat chips and a vegetable-like, almost mushy something. After asking if everything was OK and we said, "Well, that's okay and we don't call it schnitzel," all that came was a shrug of the shoulders. By the way, I'm not interested in criticism about the bill either. There is no relationship between price and performance. Conclusion - as an F&B learner... put 6 - I would have fired the chef without notice.

Update: I've been coming here every now and then for years and have accepted quite a long journey. This time too, not knowing that the photos of menus posted by guests are no longer relevant. Pricing in 2025 is simply no longer acceptable for what is on offer. After all, it's not a star restaurant. The portions are home-style, but nothing more. Everything is a bit loveless. Fried potatoes, for example, as an optional change, are too expensive and some have black spots, even on a little bacon. Something like that shouldn't leave the pass. There is no excuse there. If I as a guest do not complain about this directly, it is due to past failure and my politeness towards the friendly service. The chef is responsible here. In the past we tended to overlook this as prices were just acceptable even in 2024 and perfectly acceptable before that. Simple schnitzel, quite small, now over 20 euros, champion cream schnitzel over 23, the large pork knuckle, anything but big and very firm, just under 22 euros (a year ago it was around 14.50 euros), all the side dishes, even mustard with a minimum of 0.90 cents, to name just a few examples. I don't even want to mention the high prices for drinks, especially for home-made beer without any middlemen. Everything, absolutely everything, has become more expensive since last year. Too expensive. If you reply that everything has become more expensive, that the calculation requires it and that the prices are reaching the possible limit +, you shouldn't be surprised if at some point more and more guests set their limits, don't go along with it and look for alternatives. Maybe some owners only have to realize through the lack of guests that they may have overdone it in the long term? If it isn't already too late. After all, wages and salaries do not increase anywhere near proportionally to inflation plus "allowance" for price usury for sometimes questionable reasons. Otherwise, always friendly staff and short waiting times on our visiting days. Very rustic location in the brewery with lots of seats and tables. In fact, even at peak times, given the space available, there are apparently not many guests on some days, which is in the interests of those who prefer things a little quieter. Unfortunately, when an invoice is requested, no receipt is handed out at the table, which makes any follow-up checks impossible. Should the guest really ask or address everything? On our "last" visit there were several guests of three at a neighboring table!! large and at least one smaller dog. Even if they at least didn't bark, they sometimes pulled and sometimes shook themselves. Tasty and very appetizing to look at, not worthy of a restaurant in this atmosphere. Whether later guests would still be hungry if they knew that there could be dog hair, etc. here and there. So people. What is going on within you that allows you to do this? Allow at least four dogs in a restaurant at the same time?! An absolute nonsense in terms of hygiene and understanding for other guests I'm sorry for my honest opinion, which is unacceptable to you. After all, such guests are probably not necessarily welcome at your place and should look for alternatives. We can fulfill that.

Went to the Felsenkeller on January 18th, 2025 with a group of men (6) from 3 p.m. (reserved beforehand, of course). First brewery tour, approx. 50 minutes; The price of €10 per person included 3 x 0.2 sample beers - Pils, Dunkel, Bock - which were served immediately after the tour ended. Then a 15 liter keg of dark beer at the table for you to tap yourself. Depending on how hungry they were, everyone ordered food and other drinks over the course of the afternoon/evening (everyone whenever he wanted). Conclusion: everything was well prepared, the service was very nice and quick, and EVERYONE had absolutely good food tasted. This was my 4th visit, on all 4 visits there was nothing to complain about, neither about the service, nor about the food prices. The location itself, including the beer garden, is cozy, everything is clean and well-kept. Unreservedly recommended!!

The beer was tasty but the food was disappointing. The ducks were tough, not crispy and carelessly prepared. We then complained about one duck. A new court came that was OK. was. Went to the restaurant for dinner with 8 people on December 1st, 2024. First of all, the 2 young ladies from the service team were completely overwhelmed when ordering drinks and food. There was 1x meat loaf with bread, 1 x currywurst with fries, 2 x sliced ​​meat with fried potatoes, 1x cream schnitzel with fried potatoes, 2 x Jägerschnitzel with mushrooms and fries and 1 x meatball with mushrooms and fried potatoes. It took quite a long time for the food to arrive (about 45 minutes). The sliced ​​meat and cream schnitzel were cold, as was the fried potato, and the plates were not preheated either. After complaining, the waitress took the three meals back to the kitchen. After about 3 minutes she came back with the plates and said the plates were now very hot, they had apparently simply been heated in the microwave with the sliced ​​meat and schnitzel. The plates looked accordingly in terms of the arrangement, etc. After further complaints, the chef came out and said the dishes had probably been sitting at the pass for too long and were not brought to the guest immediately due to a lack of staff. The chef then told us we had to go for one Sliced ​​meat only paid half the price (10.75 euros) and then it went away. We can recommend the currywurst as well as the meatball and the meatloaf. Last but not least, an older lady miscalculated a couple by 5.20 euros in her favor. When this was pointed out, she slammed the 5.20 euros on the table and stomped away. We really can't recommend this restaurant!!!!!

From the motorhome parking space, just cross the street and you're there. A nice rustic restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. And the beer, simply delicious.

There are still smokers and non-smokers here, but please do not store glasses in the smoking room. We had ordered water and the glasses smelled like smoke. The newly brought glass wasn't any better either. I told the waiter that he should smell it, and he just said I didn't smell anything anymore anyway. Sry, it doesn't work. Shepherd's cheese listlessly prepared and cooked to death. The vegetables no longer had any color and it was mentioned that they came with a baguette. This came at the end and was freshly defrosted and reheated in the oven for too long. Unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel was bone hard and dry. Simply fried until dead in the deep fryer, you can still see the lighter side in the picture. The fries were soggy and had a strong taste of stale grease. According to the menu there was a cold starter - these were piping hot thawed pretzels. Just apologizing doesn't help, service has to come.

Rough process: Wait 25 minutes for the menu, then everything went smoothly. But there wasn't much going on. The children had a kids menu, we were asked if the children's punch should come with the meal. Yes, he should. But it didn't come. Ordered two schnitzels, asked if you could have one with fried potatoes, and as a reward both came with fried potatoes. After the meal, upon request, the kids were given children's punch (a grape juice spritzer😂) and a scoop of ice cream. I probably would have had another 2-5 beers if someone had asked. But no one asked. As we were leaving, we saw all the employees sitting in the next room smoking and chatting. (this also applies to working, but at the right time). So we drank four more beers in the caravan and were able to spend the night in the parking lot. All in all, food was good, parking space too. Beer was very tasty, at least the two (dark and festival beer that I was able to get hold of). The service could be worked on. However, I would like to emphasize that they were never unfriendly. Not even when we asked if we wanted to take a quick look at the map after 25 minutes. 🤪

Ate the cream schnitzel today, the mushrooms unfortunately came from a can and the fried potatoes were unfortunately already cooked to death before they were kissed in the pan (unfortunately they were only warmed up in the pan). Arrangement of the prizes = loveless.

Just because of the home-brewed beer, Rup-Bräu is worth a stop. Always happy.

Terrible food (but it's always been that way), dripping-greasy, fried potatoes - not the least bit crispy, bagged vegetables: cauliflower, carrots, the ones with the wave cut and a "fart-dry" cutlet. The best thing was that the gentleman “understood Putin”. I'll never go there again and definitely won't drink Rupp again.

Reserved with 10 people and 2 children for the Christmas menu on December 25th, 2016. The service was overwhelmed and couldn't tell what food was which when serving. The waiting time for the main menu was about 40 minutes. The starter soup was good. Food was below average, meat dry and sometimes cold and hard. Side dishes were ok, dessert had no taste. It takes 35 minutes for the second round of drinks to be ordered. All in all a total failure, food not good, dessert not good, service poor. For €305.00, we'll never go back to Felsenkeller. Too bad it used to be great.

Vor fünf Jahren haben wir hier noch gut gegessen. Dann gab es eine fürchterliche Phase mit handwerklich schlechtem Essen und unfassbar lahmen und unmotiviertem Personal. Danach ging es wieder bergauf, so dass wir jetzt mal wieder ein Mittagessen probieren wollten. Nun also: Die junge Bedienung war bemüht, wenngleich offensichtlich nicht ausgebildet. Getränke kamen schnell. Das Essen liess so 25 Minuten auf sich warten, das Besteck dann noch mal ein paar Minuten. Bratkartoffel mit Spiegelei war okay, die riesige Currywurst mit Pommes auch. Schlimm waren die Pfifferlinge mit Rührei und Bratkartoffeln von der Tageskarte: Fade und völlig geschmacklos. Keine Ahnung, wie man die eigentlich aromatischen Pfifferlinge so tot bekommt. Dto die Kartoffeln. Da half auch kräftiges Nachsalzen nicht mehr. Und dafür 17/18 Euro! Ergebnis: Da kann man leider nicht mehr hingehen, auch wenn wir direkt um die Ecke wohnen. Schade!

Es muss ein Rupp durch Deutschland gehen - naja, der Spruch geht anders, aber das hier gebraute Bier ist der Hammer. Rupp Dunkel oder Rupp Bockbier gibt es gezapft oder im 2 Literkrug zum Mitnehmen. Extrem empfehlenswert für Leute, die gerne etwas besonderes erschmecken wollen. Die Küche ist absolut empfehlenswert und es ist Platz bei Regen und bei Sonnenschein. Selbst für Camper ist vorgesorgt. 1A

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ambiente (Biergarten) vom feinsten, Bier sehr lecker genau wie das Essen. Bedienung ebenfalls gut . Waren mit Wohnmobil da ! Werden auf alle Fälle noch mal kommen !

Wir suchten einen Platz an der Strecke Niederrhein - Berlin wo man Nähe Autobahn mit dem Wohnwagen übernachten kann, sind im Internet auf diese Adresse gestoßen. Haben ihn für die nächsten Fahrten schon abgespeichert und Bekannten auch empfohlen. Alles völlig unkompliziert. Großer Schotterplatz. Schön ruhig, Gastronomie: leckeres gezapftes Bier aus der Hausbrauerei. Sehr uriger Biergarten mit altem Baumbestand. Freundliche aufmerksame Bedienungen. Essen war OK aber ausbaufähig. Wir kommen wieder, danke.

We were standing here above LV, the weather was so-so, so we couldn't enjoy the great terrace. We parked in the parking lot opposite, but a gravel lot was completely sufficient and quiet. The food was very tasty and well made. The beer was also very good. The service, however, was awesome. Super in a good mood, friendly and competent but always in her friendly, relaxed manner, very polite. You could tell how much fun and joy she had. Highly recommended.

At least half of the sausage salad consists of cheese. This wasn't stated in the menu. Actually it should be called cheese salad. :-) The large salad with chicken strips consisted of five ingredients: a lot of corn, too much corn, a little lettuce, a lot of bean salad, grated carrots and chopped slices of gut. The actual raw food content was quite low. A main meal looks different. Price: 16.50 euros. A pity. The beer is delicious.

Once upon a time it was a great location :( A pity! Nowadays the service is subpar and the food mostly only comes from the deep fryer. To the management: With better staff you can double, maybe triple your sales. I experienced my youth in the area. Back then, the Felsenkeller was THE address for delicious beer and great food. The beer is still delicious. It's May 9th, 2024, Ascension Day / Father's Day with sunshine and 22 degrees and the restaurant outside is only half full when I arrived and almost empty when I left at 5:30 p.m. Apparently the word has gotten around that the Felsenkeller is no longer what it once was and could be. A pity!

Highly Recommended. Exactly my style. The food was brutally good, I'm a steak fan and the Surf&Turf was simply awesome. The beer is definitely a highlight, the style is classic, loving and warm. Staff on top... Attentive, friendly and genuine. The owners great and full of passion. We really enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back more often. Thankz for the Ale🤙🏼🐺🛹

We have recently set up our regulars' table there. The ambience corresponds to the idea of ​​a house in which the guest feels comfortable - a real inn! The food is hearty and very tasty. We really liked it! The ambience is of course very nice, with the brewing kettles right at the table. Very attentive and friendly staff, extras were also taken into account. Despite the larger group, everyone got their food together and it was hot. We liked it and we will come back.

The ambience is great, but you could do something about the flickering light, which is really annoying. The service is very friendly, but could use a little training, but this is only noticeable to people who have already worked in service. So I had the cream schnitzel and found the price-performance ratio to be exaggerated. The schnitzel bland and dry... A small dollop of sauce that seemed completely unseasoned. The fried potatoes were okay. The salad buffet was quite well stocked and tasted good too. But more snack level. The operator doesn't need to be there either, there is salt and pepper on the table, because a restaurant attracts its guests with good taste without having to add seasoning. Conclusion: There are many restaurants in the surrounding area that make a visit more worthwhile.

We were there with the camper and were able to spend the night for free. The restaurant was quaint, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable. We really enjoyed the beer. The service was quick, super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come back.

After the criticisms expressed, I also feel obliged to review it. The Felsenkeller is a gastronomy that has accompanied me all my life (Bj59) and inspires me with its rustic orientation, the location on the Deister and the history. The beer quality and variety are undisputed, but certain home-made dishes also attract us from Barsinghausen to Lauenau again and again. Of course I can formulate my assessment based on my expectations, but is that fair? Because the orientation and price level are obviously rustic and not high-end quality & Bella Cousina? This equivalent value is obviously delivered and then only calculated. Anyone who expects more has a free choice, but should decide in advance what they expect and not afterwards criticize others for their wrong decision and also damage their business with reviews.

Rustic pub in the style of a brewery. The waitress was very, very friendly, but the service left something to be desired. Just being friendly doesn't count. Even though it was very empty, we had to wait a long time for the menu. We each decided on a schnitzel dish. This included a salad from the buffet. Unfortunately there were no tomatoes and the homemade dressing was way too sweet. We then sat at the table with our salad, unfortunately without cutlery. That then came to the main course. This was a really large portion and tasted good so far. For the Viennese style schnitzel with fries, ketchup was asked for and you had to pay extra for this. I've never experienced anything like that anywhere. The beer was tasty and my husband really liked it.

Felsenkeller Fühle mich nach den geäußerten Kritiken auch zur Rezension verpflichtet. Der Felsenkeller ist eine Gastronomie , die mich schon ein Leben (Bj59) begleitet und mit seiner rustikalen Ausrichtung, den Standort am Deister und der Historie, begeistern. Unbestritten ist die Bierqualität und Vielfalt, aber auch bestimmte, haussgemachte Gerichte locken uns immer wieder von Barsinghausen nach Lauenau. Natürlich kann ich meine Beurteilung nach meiner Erwartunghaltung formulieren, aber ist das auch fair ? Weil Ausrichtung und Preisniveau sind doch offensichtlich rustikal und nicht Highend Quality & Bella Cousina ? Dieser Gegenwert wird doch aber offensichtlich geliefert und dann auch nur berechnet. Wer mehr erwartet hat doch freie Wahl, sollte aber voher endscheiden was er denn erwartet und nicht hinterher Andere für seine Fehlendscheidung kritisieren & auch noch geschäftlich mit Rezensionen schädigen.
