We were standing here above LV, the weather was so-so, so we couldn't enjoy the great terrace. We parked in the parking lot opposite, but a gravel lot was completely sufficient and quiet. The food was very tasty and well made. The beer was also very good. The service, however, was awesome. Super in a good mood, friendly and competent but always in her friendly, relaxed manner, very polite. You could tell how much fun and joy she had. Highly recommended.

At least half of the sausage salad consists of cheese. This wasn't stated in the menu. Actually it should be called cheese salad. :-) The large salad with chicken strips consisted of five ingredients: a lot of corn, too much corn, a little lettuce, a lot of bean salad, grated carrots and chopped slices of gut. The actual raw food content was quite low. A main meal looks different. Price: 16.50 euros. A pity. The beer is delicious.

Once upon a time it was a great location :( A pity! Nowadays the service is subpar and the food mostly only comes from the deep fryer. To the management: With better staff you can double, maybe triple your sales. I experienced my youth in the area. Back then, the Felsenkeller was THE address for delicious beer and great food. The beer is still delicious. It's May 9th, 2024, Ascension Day / Father's Day with sunshine and 22 degrees and the restaurant outside is only half full when I arrived and almost empty when I left at 5:30 p.m. Apparently the word has gotten around that the Felsenkeller is no longer what it once was and could be. A pity!

Friendly staff and short waiting time on our visiting day of the week! Extremely rustic location in the brewery with lots of seats and tables. In fact, even at what are supposed to be peak times, there are apparently too few guests considering the space available, which in turn is in the interests of those who prefer things to be a little quieter. It felt like everything was in the outdoor area on May 1st. The ambience there is also almost unrivaled and cannot be found anywhere else. Unfortunately, prices have now increased significantly here too. Since I read and know the criticism of this from other reviews, i.e. such opinions are not likely to be accepted and are seen from the guests' perspective, I will spare myself any further comment. Each guest should assess for themselves the prices up to which they can and would like to go or look for alternatives. However, I don't think it's okay to respond to some reviews in such a harsh and mushy way. After all, every guest has the right to freely express their opinion and, up to a certain point, continue to eat with you... Sometimes silence, acceptance or friendly words are more helpful for potential guests? After all, no one lets anyone speak up and share their own opinions. Considering that it is from our own brewery, the price of the beer is, in my subjective opinion, a bit high. No day of rest. So you can eat here even when all the restaurants in the area are always closed.

Highly Recommended. Exactly my style. The food was brutally good, I'm a steak fan and the Surf&Turf was simply awesome. The beer is definitely a highlight, the style is classic, loving and warm. Staff on top... Attentive, friendly and genuine. The owners great and full of passion. We really enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back more often. Thankz for the Ale🤙🏼🐺🛹

We have recently set up our regulars' table there. The ambience corresponds to the idea of ​​a house in which the guest feels comfortable - a real inn! The food is hearty and very tasty. We really liked it! The ambience is of course very nice, with the brewing kettles right at the table. Very attentive and friendly staff, extras were also taken into account. Despite the larger group, everyone got their food together and it was hot. We liked it and we will come back.

Unfortunately, the man increased the price by 20 percent, which means we won't be coming back. A pity.....

Food was ok, but nothing more. The prices have gone down for this. €14.90 for currywurst with fries…. Ugh, that goes way beyond inflation and a little bit of outlook. Service was nice and relatively attentive.

The ambience is great, but you could do something about the flickering light, which is really annoying. The service is very friendly, but could use a little training, but this is only noticeable to people who have already worked in service. So I had the cream schnitzel and found the price-performance ratio to be exaggerated. The schnitzel bland and dry... A small dollop of sauce that seemed completely unseasoned. The fried potatoes were okay. The salad buffet was quite well stocked and tasted good too. But more snack level. The operator doesn't need to be there either, there is salt and pepper on the table, because a restaurant attracts its guests with good taste without having to add seasoning. Conclusion: There are many restaurants in the surrounding area that make a visit more worthwhile.

We were there with the camper and were able to spend the night for free. The restaurant was quaint, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable. We really enjoyed the beer. The service was quick, super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come back.

After the criticisms expressed, I also feel obliged to review it. The Felsenkeller is a gastronomy that has accompanied me all my life (Bj59) and inspires me with its rustic orientation, the location on the Deister and the history. The beer quality and variety are undisputed, but certain home-made dishes also attract us from Barsinghausen to Lauenau again and again. Of course I can formulate my assessment based on my expectations, but is that fair? Because the orientation and price level are obviously rustic and not high-end quality & Bella Cousina? This equivalent value is obviously delivered and then only calculated. Anyone who expects more has a free choice, but should decide in advance what they expect and not afterwards criticize others for their wrong decision and also damage their business with reviews.

Rustic pub in the style of a brewery. The waitress was very, very friendly, but the service left something to be desired. Just being friendly doesn't count. Even though it was very empty, we had to wait a long time for the menu. We each decided on a schnitzel dish. This included a salad from the buffet. Unfortunately there were no tomatoes and the homemade dressing was way too sweet. We then sat at the table with our salad, unfortunately without cutlery. That then came to the main course. This was a really large portion and tasted good so far. For the Viennese style schnitzel with fries, ketchup was asked for and you had to pay extra for this. I've never experienced anything like that anywhere. The beer was tasty and my husband really liked it.

As always, the beer was great, the atmosphere is nice and the rooms are warm. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the house. Unfortunately our duck wasn't such a hit 🥺. The worst thing we've eaten here so far. Better eat a knuckle or a schnitzel. But still come back. The beer 🍺 tastes delicious 😋

I'll start with the positive. We were there on Christmas Day and it was really well attended. The staff (a few) were super friendly and went above and beyond. There was only menu to choose from. 2 soups: one was super tasty (it only took a long time until it was refilled) The other cold and absolutely bland It was similar with the main courses. They barely kept up and the food wasn't good for most of them (8 out of 9). Cold, bland, empty,... There were actually two choices for dessert. It's just that I've only had one for a while. And with the best will in the world, I couldn't eat that. When the second one was finally prepared again, I found it good and others found it too sweet. As I said, there were 9 of us. One of us only had some dessert. One person was particularly happy with the duck. The rest of us ate because we were hungry. Since the staff was short, we went to the counter every now and then and ordered drinks. But these were brought pretty quickly. Unfortunately I won't leave any more money there

The fact that we have been regular guests there for over 40 years is a statement!! The beer (bock beer) tastes exceptionally good and the food is always very tasty and nicely prepared, a treat for the palate. I can't understand all of these "bad" and negative reviews here at all... If you want to eat a five star menu etc. you should go to the relevant restaurants!! A brewery is a brewery and everything should stay that way! And spare them your inappropriate comments. The staff is always very nice and helpful, the kitchen always makes everything delicious, not to mention the beer, everything is perfect. We enjoy being there and will continue to do so! A big compliment to everyone who does their best there and always does good things for us customers. Kind regards and see you 👍

Food is good, but nothing special. The service could be more attentive. If we hadn't pointed out the empty glasses or plates, they would still be on the tables today. The brewery tour is entertaining and interesting. The trainee does it very well and gets a few laughs. It's a bit of a shame that you only get three small (0.1) glasses to try. (Pils, Bock and Dunkel) It would be nice if at least all varieties were available to try. Another idea would be to pay a surcharge for a beer flat rate and then get as much beer as you want.

All in all, a mega evening. The reviews were off-putting But if you wanted to see for yourself, it was great. You come in and walk right past the kitchen and you feel very connected. The service was quick and very friendly. The food arrived within 15-20 minutes. The dishes, Leberkäs with fried egg and cordon bleu, were great. The lemon with the cordon bleu could have been a corner piece instead of a slice, otherwise a 10-10 Even the bread with the liver cheese was great, but the yellow egg with the fried egg was solid and not runny, but still a great combination with the liver cheese, it could have been served nicer 7/10 Unfortunately there was no white sausage or beef broth All in all, with the great service, I would happily give it an 8/10 again.

We have had a regular get-together there for more than a year. Always satisfied and well served.

Das Essen war genauso schlecht, wie das Bier gut war. Das Schnitzel machte einen Eindruck, als dass es aus der Friteuse kommt, die Marinade war in der Tat nicht gut. Für eine solche bekannte Location hätte ich sehr viel mehr erwartet. Die Bedienung war nach dem Hauptgang selten bis gar nicht am Tisch. Fazit: nicht empfehlenswert

Sehr gutes Essen, Preis- Leistungsverhältnis gut. Service fehlten die Nachfragen in Bezug auf weitere Getränke oder Dessert. Wohl auf den "Fachkräftemanhel" zurück zu führen. Jedoch in meinen Augen trotzdem anzumerken. Eigenes Bier -Rupp Bräu- absolut empfehlenswert. Sehr gerne wieder.

Toller Blick in das schöne Schaumburger Land von der Terrasse. Dann noch ein schönes Rupp Bier, von den netten Bedienungen schnell gebracht. Toll, um einen schönen Sommertag ausklingen zu lassen.

Bei einer Brauerei gehe ich (anscheinend fälschlicherweise) von einem gutbürgerlichen Essen aus. Vorab, das Bier war wirklich TOP. Das Putenrahmgeschnetzelte war leider nicht der Knaller. Champignons aus der Dose, die Pute war wohl auch sehr klein, die Rahmsauce na ja. Die Bratkartoffeln hingegen waren echt gut. Der Salatteller mit Putenstreifen bestand anscheinend in der Mehrzahl aus fertigen Zutaten (Großgebinde) und auch hier war die Pute recht klein. Die Folienkartoffel kenne ich anders, normalerweise innen Hellgelb, unsere war innen Dunkel, was wir nur von überlagerten bzw. vor gegarten Kartoffeln her kennen. Fazit: einen nette Lokation mit Potential zur Verbesserung. Mehr Leidenschaft für die Zubereitung und Qualität der Speisen würde auch den derzeit zu hohen Preis für die Speisen rechtfertigen. PS: Das Raucherzimmer könnte einen kleinen Abluftventilator gebrauchen, damit der Dampf (ich komme aus einer Raucherfamilie und bin nicht Empfindlich..) nicht bis in den Eingangsbereich / Küche ziehen kann.

Das Bier ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben! Das Essen hat jedoch keine gute Preis/Leistung. Die Qualität ist in Ordnung, mehr aber auch nicht. Für die Qualität ist es jedoch zu teuer. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Bier ist zweifellos spitze! Essen ist sehr lecker, aber leider zu wenig und zu kleine vegetarische Gerichte. Der große Salatteller mit Hirtenkäse ist als einziges vegetarisches Gericht sehr groß und vielfältig - definitiv zu empfehlen! Außerdem schmeckt die hausgemachte Remoulade auch sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und das Ambiente draußen ist wirklich schön.

Idealne miejsce dla smakoszy piwa .. napój sporządzany na miejscu i przezemnie wypróbowany w trzech wariantach .. weizen.. dunkel i pils .. no i muszę stwierdzić że każdy wariant smakował .. jedzenie super podane a smak oczywiście kwestia gustu ale smaczne .. miejsce znajduje się w bardzo przyjemym miejscu z możliwością siedzenia na zewnatrz i parking obok .. restaurację jak najbardziej polecam .. warto odwiedzić

Wir haben toll dort gegessen und haben mit unserem Camper kostenlos auf dem Parkplatz übernachtet. Der Service war nett und das Essen reichhaltig. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Update Juni 2023 Service top, Ambiente top, Essen leider billige TK Ware oder lieblos zubereitet. Nach wie vor meine Empfehlung für Kaltgetränke aber lieber nichts essen. Meine Bewertung aus 2019 Leckeres Bier und ein schöner Biergarten.

Nach längerem Spanienaufenthalt waren wir am 21. Juni mal wieder im Felsenkeller zu Gast. Ich hatte eine wirklich große Schweinehaxe, außen richtig schön kross, innen super zart - geschmacklich hervorragend. Dazu gab es Krautsalat, eine dunkle Biersoße und 2 Scheiben Landbrot. Meine Frau hatte die handgemachte Currywurst. Auch dieses Gericht war sehr gut. Die Pommes waren die besten, die wir seit langer Zeit hatten und die Currysoße spitzenmäßig. Die Portionen waren sehr groß. Zum Bier braucht man eigentlich nichts zu sagen - einfach süffig und wohlschmeckend. Der Service im Biergarten ( 2 weibliche Servicekräfte) war sehr schnell und extrem freundlich. Ein rundum gelungener Besuch im Felsenkeller bei Familie Rupp - wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

Seit über 20 Jahren kehren wir immer wieder mal in den Felsenkeller ein (2-4 x pro Jahr). Leider ist es natürlich nicht schön zu beobachten, wie der Laden zusehends abbaut im Laufe der Zeit. Aber zuerst einmal das Positive : Das Bier ist natürlich das Highlight dort vor Ort. Es schmeckt richtig gut und dazu bietet die Lokalität eine herrliche Aussicht. Auch die Freundlichkeit und meistens auch die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals ist absolut einwandfrei, so geht man dann auch gerne aus und lässt sich ein Abend ordentlich was kosten. Auch die Sanitärraume sind absolut sauber und ordentlich. Das nicht so schöne ist leider mittlerweile die "Küche" : eine kleine nicht ansprechende Salatbar am Eingang, wo jeder Gast dran vorbeiläuft, ob beim Kommen oder Gehen oder auch nur beim Gang zur Toilette. Die Speisen teils nur lauwarm, lieblos auf den Tellern angerichtet und optisch keine Augenweide. Und ein kleiner Tisch kann sein Essen in der Gastro gleichzeitig erwarten dürfen und nicht bei 3 Essen 3 Einzellieferungen zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten an den Tisch zu bekommen. Brot als Beilage auf Tellern die nicht zum restlichen Geschirr passte, das Brot selber (trockenes Körnerbrot) schmeckte einfach alt und nicht frisch (und es ist egal, ob das Brot morgens frisch geholt wurde oder nicht - es schmeckte einfach alt und vertrocknet! - kann ich ja nicht ändern das es so leider war). Total wässrige Tomatensuppe von Sahne erschlagen als Vorspeise (da war gefühlt mehr Sahne als Suppe in der kleinen Tasse für 5,10Euro) und der Kaffee nach dem Essen in einem Becher, der schon vor langer Zeit hätte aussortiert werden müssen, weil er einfach total abgenutzt aussah und die Glasierung/Lackierung schon ordentlich abgeplatzt war von der Tasse - das hat null mit Gastro zu tun und auch nichts mit Wertschätzung gegenüber der Kundschaft. Und verschrumpelte Zitronenscheiben auf dem Essen sind optisch auch kein Highlight, die kann man frisch abschneiden bevor man ein Essen rausgibt. Ob jetzt bei der Inneneinrichtung (die man mittlerweile als etwas wüst empfindet, weil keine Struktur vorhanden - Mitte Februar stehen da noch halb verschrumpelte Weihnachtssterne auf den Fensterbänken und Lichterketten liegen dort aus ), jedem Gast das Herz beim Betreten der Räumlichkeiten höher schlägt, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Die superschöne Sommerterasse - ich hoffe einfach, das an dem ganzen Mobiliar dort draußen ordentlich was getan wird. In dem maroden Zustand wie sich Tische und Bänke dort draußen befinden und ungeschützt verwittern, würde ich dort nicht freiwillig sitzen wollen wenn die Terasse wieder öffnen sollte. Fazit : Panorama und das Bier absolut top - wir werden da aber in Zukunft nur noch zum Trinken einkehren und vorher bereits gegessen haben. Update Pfingsten 2023 : Wir waren dann mal wieder im Felsenkeller und die neugestaltete Terrasse hat uns sofort begeistert. Ist wirklich toll geworden im Außenbereich.

Haben die Haxe und das Champignonrahmschnitzel gegessen. War grandios. Super lecker. Die Bedienung mega freundlich. Super schöne Ecke dort. Kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war immermal wieder da. Leider hat sich die Küche doch eher verschlechtert. Das Gericht war nur lauwarm und die Beilagen waren leider nicht frisch und etwas rar. Das war mal anders und ich hoffe doch sehr, dass es sich wieder bessert. Der Preis rechtfertigt momentan m.M.n. nicht die Qualität der Küche. Das Ambiente war wie immer sehr schön.

Vor einem Monat einen Tisch bestellt. Als wir ankamen, war er besetzt :( Hier haben wohl Stammgäste Vorrecht vor Reservierungen. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und regelte es. Die Spargelcremesuppe kam kalt auf den Tisch. Allgemein wird von würzen nicht mehr viel gehalten, auch meine Hauptspeise, Spargel mit Hollandaise war eher ungewürzt, lauwarm und geschmacklos. Die Nuggets meiner Tochter waren zu kross. Kann mal passieren, aber sehr enttäuschend bei dem Preis! Wir kommen jedes Jahr mind. 2-3x, das werde ich mir jetzt überlegen. Bis letztes Jahr schmeckte alles klasse, nicht nur das Bier, die Küche war top. Selbst das Ambiente hat nachgelassen, der Flur steht voll und der Zigarettengeruch zieht in die anderen Gasträume. Schade, wenn man sich, wie wir, auf einen schönen Geburtstags-Abend freut.

Anlässlich meines Geburtstages im Felsenkeller eingekehrt. Leider waren unsere reservierten Plätze durch andere Gäste belegt. Die aufmerksame Servicekraft konnte aber die Situation klären. Die Spargelcremesuppe hätte ein Tick wärmer sein könne, war aber trotzdem schmackhaft. Das Rupp Pils war ein Genuss! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Ambiente und das Bier waren hervorragend. Auch der Außenbereich ist ansprechend, ebenso die Räumlichkeiten. Der Service war in Ordnung und freundlich aber nicht professionell. Das Essen war nicht heiß, kaum gewürzt, die Beilagen übersichtlich und die Zutaten waren offenbar nicht frisch. Insgesamt eine schöne Gaststätte, die früher wesentlich besser in der Küche war. Aber das Bier lohnt sich...

Tolles Gasthaus mit selbst gebrautem Bier 🍺 und Verkaufstresen für regionale Wurstwaren etc. Die Terrasse mit herrlicher Aussicht wird von einer großen Eiche angenehm beschattet. Weitere Außensitzplätze sind unter einem großen Metallgestell, das mehrere Sonnensegel trägt. Die Inhaber und Bedienung sind sehr nett. Ein Einheimischer hatte dieses Restaurant explizit empfohlen. Es wurde gut besucht. Das Essen kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich nicht dort gegessen hatte.
