Very good food at a reasonable price

Wir waren bereits mehrmals hier. Das Essen war immer grandios, aber am Valentinstag war die Küche und das Personal überfordert. Es gab 2 Menüs. Die Auswahl eher einfach im Vergleich, was sie dort können. Bis auf den letzten cm die Tische gestellt. Dadurch glich die Lautstärke einer Bahnhofshalle. Ambiente daher Max 1 Stern. Leider wissen auch viele Gäste sich nicht in einem Restaurant zu benehmen und sind laut wie in einer Kneipe oder Disco. Service: Da es nur die Menüs gab, war der Aperitif für alle gleich. Dauerte trotzdem 45 Minuten. Das Brot kam eher, aber leider ohne Salz und Öl. Das wurde später von den Nachbartischen geholt. Das Servicepersonal versuchte zwar eine gehobene Klasse in der Bedienung darzustellen, aber dann reicht man der Dame die zum Teil heißen Teller nicht über den Tisch. Aber der Wille war da. Essen: Alles wunderhübsch anzusehen, wirklich toll. Aber alle Portionsgrösen so klein, dass selbst ich als Frau die wenig auf einmal ißt nur ansatzweise gesättigt war. Für den Mann hat es nicht gereicht. Qualität: wir gehen von hochwertiger Ware aus. Aber: Geschmack: Gewohnt waren wir etwas anderes. Das Sashimi mit Asia Gemüse kam wie bestellt ohne Paprika, aber leider für beide. Und es wurde nicht mit anderem Gemüse ersatzweise aufgefüllt. Andere hatten deutlich mehr. Aber es war sehr lecker. Zwischengang: Meeresfrüchte-Risotto, gebratene Jacobsmuscheln. Es gab 2 kleine mit kaum röstaromen aber deutlich durchgegarten Jacobsmuscheln. Die Meeresfrüchte ware 2 kleine Garnelen. Auch übergart. Risotto war normaler Reis mit schleimiger Soße. Hauptgericht: Skrei, Spinat, Kartoffelwürfel und Safranschaum. Wo war der Safran? Der Schaum war weiß und sehr salzig. Salzig der Rest auch. Die Kartoffelwürfel lecker aber zu fettig. Der Skrei gut gegart aber auch zu viel Salz. Spinat ebenso. Dessert: Dubautiramisu mit Sorbet. Das Sorbet war toll. Aber den Hype um die Dubaischoki verstehe ich nicht. Tiramisu ist geschichtet. Es gab nur 2, Pistazie, Butter, Engelshaar als 1 Schicht und eine Creme als zweite Schicht. Die Creme dezent lecker. Den Rest hätte ich nicht gebraucht, aber es hat lustig gecruncht. Fazit: beim abräumen habe ich schon erwähnt, dass mir der Hauptgang zu salzig war. Das wurde an die Restaurantleitung weiter geleitet. Mir wurde zur Entschädigung ein Grappa und Ähnliches angeboten, aber leider auf dem Weg zur Toilette. Da war ich echt überfordert. Als ich zurück war, stand für uns beide ein Grappa da. Und das Dessert. Zeitlich seltsam. Vorher haben wir ewig gewartet und nun kann ich kaum zur Toi gehen und das Essen steht da schon. In anderen Restaurants wird gewartet, bis der Gast wieder am Tisch sitzt. Und ich war schnell. Alles in allem: Nie wieder zu einem Event. Aber sonst wissen sie ein gutes Essen auf den Teller zu bringen. Aber die Menüvorauswahl war nicht gut und die Umsetzung mit einem so vollen Lokal auch nicht. Es war als Menü auch nicht günstiger, als zu normalen Zeiten ein aus der Karte ausgewähltes Menü. Auch zum Valentinstag hätte ich mir etwas romantische Deko gewünscht hat. Kerzen gab es nur auf jedem dritten Tisch. Persönliches Fazit: wir nehmen unseren Valentinstag einfach 2 Wochen später.

I had three different ones last Thursday Gyros variants were ordered there as a main course and picked up. All three dishes were totally inedible Salt and season with the typical Greek spice mixture. So 55 euros for the ton. Will never go there again.

I can highly recommend Sancho Panza. I really liked it there, the food was rich and tasty, the service was courteous and friendly. Keep it up

Update: I've been coming here every now and then for years and have accepted quite a long journey. This time too, not knowing that the photos of menus posted by guests are no longer relevant. Pricing in 2025 is simply no longer acceptable for what is on offer. After all, it's not a star restaurant. The portions are home-style, but nothing more. Everything is a bit loveless. Fried potatoes, for example, as an optional change, are too expensive and some have black spots, even on the little bacon. Something like that shouldn't leave the pass. There is no excuse there. If I as a guest do not complain about this directly, it is due to past failure and my politeness towards the friendly service. The chef is responsible here. In the past we tended to overlook this as prices were just acceptable even in 2024 and perfectly acceptable before that. Simple schnitzel now over 20, champion cream schnitzel over 23, giant knuckle almost 22, all side dishes, even mustard with a minimum of 0.90 cents, to name just a few examples. I don't even want to mention the high prices for drinks, especially for home-made beer without any middlemen. Everything, absolutely everything, has become more expensive since last year. Too expensive. If you reply that everything has become more expensive, that the calculation requires it and that the prices are reaching the possible limit +, you shouldn't be surprised if at some point more and more guests set their limits, don't go along with it and look for alternatives. Maybe some owners only have to realize through the lack of guests that they may have overdone it in the long term? If it isn't already too late. After all, wages and salaries do not increase anywhere near proportionally to inflation plus "allowance" for price usury for sometimes questionable reasons. I'm sorry for my honest opinion, which is unacceptable to you. After all, such guests are probably not necessarily welcome at your place and should look for alternatives. We can fulfill that.
