The cafe is very nicely decorated and I felt very comfortable in it. I ordered fresh mint tea and bread with homemade guacamole there.
I paid €5.60 for the small portion of bread with guacamole. A pretty steep price.
I don't live in Berlin. I was aware beforehand that in many Berlin cafés it is assumed that you speak English. Still, I thought it was rare. Unfortunately that was the case in this cafe. Not that I don't like to speak English, but I think it's unfair to people who can't speak English or to the older generation whose English skills may not be there. That made me very suspicious.
We wanted to love this place but the kitchen was quite careless and many dishes which ought to have been good were not. The fennel has to be thinly sliced. The tortilla has to be seasoned. The oil has to be hot before you fry the calamari. Pretty basic really.
I was considering rating 2 or 3. However the room, atmosphere and Energy with one of our waiters did for sure contribute positive to the expereience. However, a waiter with no English skills who did not introduce the food was not a good experience. We had the 5 course tasting menu, which did not have a level Living up to expectations of french inspired food.
Rustic family atmosphere, very good, varied schnitzel menu, delicious giant currywurst, fried potatoes, etc.
Everything is freshly prepared by the chef himself.
We can only recommend it and really enjoy coming here.
Stylish atmosphere in a beautiful old villa. Warm, empathetic service. Excellent, modern cuisine of a high standard. They have it all: craftsmanship, harmonious compositions, good products... a lovely evening. The Berlin Wine Brotherhood thanks you. So go there quickly and let yourself be pampered with culinary delights.
Esperamos volver. -Muchas gracias.
It was an absolutely amazing brunch for me at Anjoy Restaurant on Sunday. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. you can feast on Vietnamese to your heart's content for €22 per (adult) person. There is a very extensive range from soup to finger food, rice, pasta, various hot dishes, sauces/dips, fruit, cakes and ice cream. A large, spacious shop that is comfortably furnished and comes across as a bit old/shabby, which in my opinion seems intentional and brings with it a certain charm. I was greeted by a very friendly young lady (immediately after entering the restaurant) who immediately accompanied me to my table. A drink order could also be placed immediately and it didn't take long for my cocktail to reach me. I really enjoyed the food and it tasted excellent throughout. Everything was constantly replenished and things like chicken wings or summer rolls (finger food) were constantly replenished.
The restaurant was relatively clean and not too dark. I would definitely come back, thank you for the great food and service.
Best regards
