I love it every single time. Great food and incredibly friendly staff!

I was absolutely thrilled, especially since I'm from the Ruhr area and I'm a big fan of hearty food 🙈 I have to say, though, I ordered yogurt on top, a fried egg with some bread – there were five of us – so I can't really say yet how much I enjoyed it. It was absolutely delicious. My niece said it was a bit spicy. No, it was just right. It really wasn't spicy at all. At first, I thought it was, that it wasn't spicy enough. No, it was perfect. It was perfect. 👍 The ambiance is very simple, but very clean 👍 Absolutely lovely, I'll definitely be back 😊 Value for money: It's December 2025 now, and it was already okay 👌 The food was also prepared superbly 👍 The staff: Not pushy, they didn't walk past the table every two minutes asking if we wanted anything else. I appreciated that. Cash: They only accept debit cards or any other kind of card. It's not mentioned on the bill either. Would you like to leave a tip? I left a few euros. There's a tip jar there. 😉 The restrooms are clean 😃👍 I wish you and the whole team continued success 💞 Best regards, Jörg Oh yes, it was my niece's birthday, and she had reserved a table for three 🙈 We surprised her, but it wasn't a problem for the staff or the owner, I don't know.

My friend and I had the worst food poisoning after dinner in Sorrel last night. She started feeling sick on her way home, me a few hours later and all the way through the night. Cold sweats, shivers, was one of the worst nights of my life. I couldn’t even keep a sip of water in. We had sourdough with butter, celery, potatoes, zucchini and ricotta. It’s my first food poisoning in Berlin after living here for 14 years. —- Since I can't reply to the reply, I’ll add it here Symptoms of Staphylococcus aureus food poisoning typically appear 30 minutes to 8 hours after eating contaminated food. The most common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Just because no one else reached out yet doesn't mean it didn't affect more people. It would be highly unlikely that both my friend and I got sick after the same dinner without the food being the cause. I'll focus on feeling better now.

Very nice place. Unique menu and the food was very good. Be prepared to wait a little bit outside til you get a table.

Had a great late lunch at Sorrel. The food was outstanding, really good quality dishes perfectly prepared. More than this the service was warm, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return next time I'm in Berlin

Amazing food, filling but small dishes, kind and responsive wait staff, slightly loud. I highly recommend the French toast, fennel, and ginger lemon tea.

food was good, but service was extremely slow. the waiters forgot about us and serving us our dishes, so we ended up waiting +45 minutes to get our food and had to remind them a few times

We absolutely loved our visit at Sorrel and will definitely come back. The food was nothing short of amazing.

Really very friendly and attentive service, and the food was excellent as always! We've been there quite often for breakfast/brunch and it's always been terrific. Yesterday we went there for the first time in the evening, and even though we arrived before the kitchen opened, we were able to order some bread for our daughter. That's not the only reason I think Sorrel is very family-friendly on top. So go there and enjoy!

Delicious food, friendly and fun staff and perfect place to enjoy dinner. It’s become rare to find such spacious places, that aren’t packed or next to each other with other tables. So Sorrel still has this atmosphere. Don’t miss out Fennel Salad btw! :)

Really delicious food and good service. Unfortunately, I'm deducting one star because it's simply too expensive for my taste. Portions could be a bit larger or a bit cheaper. And at the end, there was an additional 10% because we were a large group...

One of the best brunches I've ever had. I came with a big group so we had a set menu and we adored every single thing that was brought out.

We asked if we could have scrambled eggs instead of fried. "No, that's not possible." Why? "Uh, our kitchen is too small." I mean, how much extra space do you need to scramble eggs...? Berlin does things differently, you hipsters!

The food was good, but service was a bit slow. We asked for bread and butter when our dishes were served because we realised that there was no bread with one of the dishes. The bread came after we finished eating both dishes. A pity The service team overall seemed a bit chaotic and not organised.

Dog friendly, laptop friendly, card friendly. Great coffee and food with a nice vibe and fast WiFi. I had a flat white and the schnitzle, super crispy with a great sauce.

A very nice place that would fit right in in New York. Modern decor and a very well-thought-out menu. The staff are HOT! Definitely recommend it.

Berlin boho style, lukewarm welcome, rather chilly (first to arrive at 10 a.m.). Nkln is cool, really. A manageable menu, I love that you can have brunch and shared breakfast, but the small portions are expensive. More like tapas. But it's delicious, and you can sit comfortably in the sun. The three dishes we had were freshly prepared and delicious, and the coffee was good, too. And there's plenty of space to sit. A nice alternative in Nkln.

We had a good evening at Sorrel, mainly due to the great personnel. Nonetheless, the menu felt pricewise a little bit of. Everything was well cooked, but Burrata, Gnocchi, Baked Potatos and a small portion of cod felt too expensive (the cake was great) and overall to small to feed two.

Very, very good. The three of us tried two starters, three main courses, and two desserts, all delicious. The wine list was beautiful, as was the selection by the glass. We were won over!

Schnitztel was great, just wish it came with less mayo and more sauerkraut. Would come back to try the rest of the menu!

Loved it. The fennel salad with pickled apricots was exceptional. Saw people served hot chocolates that look like artworks, so have to go back!

My sister and I had a gorgeous brunch here today. We shared three plates and had some coffees and were totally satisfied and both the servers were super nice and helpful. We were so happy with our choices (the roast potatoes with miso mayo, the eggs & labneh toast and holy MOLY the peach brioche 😍). Perfect meal, I'll be back soon for sure. Beautiful space too.

Super tasty food. Ordered the fennel salad which was incredible and the basque tart. It was good but have had better ones. Prices are high? Similar to other places of this kind.

Waited outside for 20 minutes. No service. No German was the first announcement. I ordered drinks after the waiter was gracious enough to come to the table. I was told to order inside. Why only me was unclear to me. No food was offered, no menus, dirty tables. Then I waited 30 minutes for the drinks I ordered to arrive, then I went in. Pure ignorance. They apparently didn't want German-speaking guests, so I left. This place should close due to affluence.

Best prison food breakfast in town 🤗 a single egg, piece of bread, and some pieces of butter and cheese for 13€ 💞 all jokes aside… the place looks really cute, and the server was really nice. However, the food was very disappointing and the service was very slow. Hope to come here again in the future for something truly delicious and a great time.

Exquisite, the food was far above what I was expecting. Highlight, for me, was the Ricotta Gnudi, but everything I had - from the burrata to the fennel salad as well as the potatoes, were wonderful.

It was excellent, from the lardo and stuff on bread (very nice northern Italy vibes!) all the way to the incredible peaches dessert. And I’d call it well priced, the menu for two for 50€ is perfect.

Every dish was fantastic. Especially fennel salad.

Experts are at work here: a fantastic, straightforward menu with unusual combinations. The grilled asparagus is a stunner. Pronounced roasted aromas and simply full of umami. The brioche with mountain peach was both fluffy and crispy. Overall, the balance here is very well-balanced between subtle sweetness and salt, with a light acidity/fruitiness and a robust pistachio punch. The generous amount of cream cheese, however, makes the whole thing quite overpowering and could be scaled back a bit for my personal taste (or you can share it, which fits the concept). The homemade lemonade is also good. What else is there to say? Pleasant, airy, and light-filled ambiance. Highly recommended!

highly recommend the potatoes, the schnitzel and the burrata. Service can be a bit long during rush hours, to have a great time then don’t be in a hurry to go somewhere else. Take the time to savour the food and the homemade limo on a hot day.

I celebrated my birthday here and was completely satisfied. One of the tastiest restaurants I've ever visited! Absolutely fantastic and thank you so much!

A beautiful venue with a warm, inviting atmosphere, Sorrel offers produce-forward, seasonal cooking that really delivers. The fennel dish was the standout – a perfect balance of textures and flavours. The anchovies and lardo were also excellent, while both the turbot and duck were solid, well-executed dishes. The celeriac was our least favourite but still enjoyable. A surprise: the portion sizes are actually quite generous for a small plates concept – something to keep in mind! The only small letdown was the service – there were a fair few crumbs on the table when we sat down but apart from that an otherwise lovely experience.

If you don't have beer (one of the two drinks you offer), please reconsider opening for that day. If you are missing 3 items from the 5 item menu you serve, please consider the same. Thanks

Despite positive reviews, our visit was quite disappointing. We were informed 20 minutes after ordering that an item wasn't available, and our food then took an additional 45 minutes to arrive. Service was chaotic to say the least! Bread was forgotten twice, requiring multiple reminders and when asked about an item on the menu, the staff was unaware of the ingredients. While the coffee was okay and the food was decent (although overpriced in my opinion), the overall experience was disappointing and not worth it.

Bad coffee! For not to say it was disgusting. I asked for a cappuccino and I get a simple coffee with hot milk, not foam or taste at all. The only answer I got was that it was probably the type of milk but it was with cow milk! You can get a lot of foam for cappuccinos. I definitely don’t recommended it.

I had a delicious breakfast here, for a very reasonable price.

I went there because of the pictures and videos and had to realize that the pictures are no longer up to date and that the thing in question no longer exists. Disappointing.

Tasty food, I would visit again. One less star because if I am to pay 11 euro for a plate of potatoes I expect them to be perfect and some of ours were burned.

Each dish was very tasty and had its own unique flavor profile, we enjoyed the combinations very much. The schnitzel and the potatoes were very flavorful, so were the asparagus sauce and labneh. My only complaint is that i expected more labneh and more asparagus. Nevertheless I will be coming back for sure!

Oh what a great experience. We had lunch and tested our way across the menu. The potatoes were amazing but the burrata was also extremely convincing. Currently my favorite lunch spot in Berlin. We celebrated our post wedding brunch with Sorrel and the experience was excellent. The food was loved by all, perfectly attentive, but well paced and leisurely service. Our booking was for two hours but we stayed for almost four. Would highly recommend

Lowkey obsessed. Vibes = cozy minimalism, food = seasonal slay. Had breakfast here, literally spring on a plate 🌸 Coffee slapped ☕️ The burrata cheese, fried eggs, roasted potatoes hits, you should definitely try it! I really recommend it!

Probably the most satisfying dinner in Berlin. All the plates we tasted were so good. As a vegetarian I could choose different plates. Aubergine hummus with pickled vegetables was the right starter, light but tasty. Fennel with pickled apricot, mint, toasted almond and parmesab was very fresh, so well balanced and tasty too. Probably my favourite plate. I took also the potatoes with miso mayo for sharong,so good top. Well cooked, crispy potatoes, really good. The others took the duck with blueberry sauce and the turbot with asparagus. Both of them perfectly cooked and delicate. We share a basque cheesecake with carrot compote.I never have tasted it before, I love the texture and, of course, the taste. It is clear that there is a study behind this plates, bacause in my opinion the strong point was the combination between different ingredients that make every plate well balanced. Of course the service was perfect, very kind, gentle and fast. Really recommended. Absolutely!

This place is underrated! Each dish had its unique flavors as described on the menu. Nice place and attentive staff and if you really want a great meal go there… I unfortunately ate at higher rated places and so disappointed but very happy to go to Sorrel and have a tasty meal. The cheesecake that is made in house was absolutely delicious and quite a large slice. Thanks Sorrel for making great food for everyone to enjoy.

This place feels like a hidden gem to us! We discovered it by chance on a casual afternoon walk, and after ordering a good glass of wine, we knew we wanted to come back. So we did. We were greeted very nicely, and throughout the evening, we had great service and felt pampered. The servers seemed to really want to make sure that we were having a good evening. (Many restaurateurs in Berlin should follow Sorrel as an example). We had to move tables during the evening, but they made sure to offer us an even bigger table so that we could be comfortable, and continue to enjoy the evening with a nice slice of cheesecake, which I have never had such a good cheesecake in my life, like all the other dishes we tasted, I think the mussels and nduja, is a dish that won me over forever (I am from Calabria I know what I am talking about w nduja) I recommend this place to everyone, and we will definitely go back (the wine menu is full of great bottles, I loved browsing that menu). It’s not so easy to find great places in Berlin that have fantastic service, delicious food and wine and fair prices..

Super delicious food and a good atmosphere, even if the benches along the wall aren't very comfortable. Unfortunately, the staff speaks to you in English as if we were in the USA. Very self-centered and disrespectful, not even able to say "Guten Abend" or something similar in German. It's basically saying, "I don't care if you prefer German or if you find English difficult. I find German difficult, so I decide what is spoken." Very exclusionary towards many fellow citizens who don't speak English or find it difficult. There's a good saying in English for this: When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Great food. When we were ready to order, they told us they didn’t have more bread, so we couldn’t order bread for the food. This was quite disappointing since the bread was essential for a lot of the dishes. However, the food was amazing and the waitress too. The acoustics in the room is quite bad so don’t expect a cosy, chill, romantic vibe, more cool and vibrant. Since they didn’t have bread and the atmosphere was a bit too loud for our taste, only 4 stars from here.
