A typical place to try currywurst and hot dogs. Quick and easy, eat in or takeaway. I recommend ordering the hot dog with onions. They accept cards (no small feat in Berlin). The service is excellent!

The sausages are really good but the MEDIUM hot sauce almost made me faint. Be careful with the hot sauce!

We watched YouTube videos about Berlin before our trip from the U.S. and most YouTubers recommended Curry 61. It was our first time eating Currywurst and it did not disappoint. Perfect balance of sausage protein, semi sweet ketchup and curry spices. It is not spicy hot, AT ALL. Yes there are spices, but they don't burn like the dishes that I'm used to in the U.S. A bathroom in the restaurant would earn an extra star.

We wanted to try the local specialty: currywurst. I think we couldn't have found a better place. The staff was very friendly, there was a wide selection of sausages, and the restaurant's decor was unique.

Currywurst is often introduced as the German equivalent of tteokbokki. The fries aren't particularly special, and the sweet curry sauce on the sausage isn't bad. However, it's more of an ordinary dish than a delicacy. The sausage isn't particularly tasty, so it's worth trying once.

Very nice place and good to a good price

It's probably the best currywurst I've had during my stay in Berlin. Although I think the portion is a bit small, and I had to order another one after the first. But for the price, it's reasonable. The downside is that there's a long queue to get a table, and if you go during peak hours, you can expect a 30-minute wait. The waiters are very friendly and fast. My advice is to get a meal together with a beer and go eat it in James's Park (right next door) with a view of the cathedral. It's a truly beautiful park with a typical Berlin meal.

You see an endless line, the colorful sign, and you think you've arrived at a temple of cuisine, but instead... En bus (very small shop) And you have to eat those sausages with ketchup and curry in the little tray of paper! You wonder why... but in the end, it's all amazing and delicious.

Save yourself the queue – after one bite I couldn't eat another bite of the currywurst. It was incredibly gristly and felt like it wasn't cooked through properly. The sauce was okay, but the meat was awful.

I had the best curry sauce here. You can choose whether you want a sausage with or without skin. The curry sauce is fruity, tomatoey, and not at all sour—rather a bit sweet. With fries and mayo, I paid €6.20. Awesome price and a decent portion. Conclusion: I'd definitely go back 👍🏻

Even though it’s usually super busy and there’s often a line 🤩🤩 the staff are always friendly and patient🙏🏼 Just a little tip, they add a lot of ketchup 😅 so if you’re not a ketchup fan like me, make sure to tell them 😂😂 There’s no seating area, but they have the cool wooden tables where you can stand and enjoy your food, very Berlin-style! 🌭😬

First time having currywurst. Opted for the crunchy sausage which wasn’t as crunchy as expected but still tasted good. The curry sauce adds a good level of acidity and they ask if you want it spicy (chilli powder). The line was long and didn’t move as fast as expected. Service was decent, but there are limited tables inside and out.

A must try when you are in Berlin! Long lines mean it’s good - right? Get the Kombucha which will let you have the currywurst and French fries!

We spontaneously stopped by Curry 61 on October 1, 2025. We ordered the food and it arrived very quickly. Service was good, and the salesperson was very friendly. The currywurst and fries we ordered were delicious and harmonious, combined with the curry sauce and mayo for the fries. The sausage was very tender yet firm, and the fries were nice and crispy. I would order everything again, as I think the price of €5.80 is also reasonable.

Had currywurst. The sausage was not Crispy enough outside, the inside had too little meat in the mixture so it tasted too soft for my taste. Sauce was good.

Due to the fame I went to try their curry. I order the combo of currywurst (the soft one, as you are asked to pick between soft and crispy) with fries. The sausage was okay, and the sauce with curry good. The fries were mediocre, and the seasoning couldn’t save them. It’s a cheap option, but I didn’t enjoy it.

Super delicious, I recommend the sausage with the skin and fries. That was the best currywurst I've ever eaten. Even for those who don't like meat, there is a vegetarian sausage.

Oh my goodness! The seasoning they put on the curry sausages is delicious. And the tomato sauce too. It's not your typical flavor, a bit spicy and super delicious. It's true that there are no chairs inside or outside, which is something that's missing.

As a snack bar in the middle of town, it's ok, friendly service and quite busy at lunchtime (mostly tourists)

The colorful setting immediately catches the eye, the smell captures the attention. Too bad that everything ends the moment you eat an overcooked sausage that doesn't have the consistency it should (even though I answered "crunchy" when asked "soft or crunchy"!) The sausage they serve here is rather mushy and not crispy and turgid as it should be. Another thing I really didn't like was the cunning of the staff in asking me if I wanted sauces but without specifying that it would be at an extra cost and so I found myself with a bottle full of ketchup (yes, because they added more on top of what was already abundant in the curry sausage). Furthermore, I was asked if I wanted sauces but not which sauces were available, much less that this is a service to be considered extra. In short, you who work there should have some dignity because this "fraudulent setting" is shameful. The curry they use isn't good quality, and if I have to be honest, the fries were pretty raw! To say I'm disappointed with this experience is an understatement!

Please introduce a way to tip your employees using your card. Not everyone always carries cash. You have great guys and girls!

One of the best currywurst in Berlin, fast service

If you happen to pass by and decide to eat a curry wurst, go for it, but by no means travel all the way there (like we did) to try the curry wurst there, because I didn't think it was worth it. It's a sausage like the thousands you can eat in Germany, with a sauce that's nothing special.

Pure fast food. They should change the oil in the fryers once a month, if you're lucky. In busy places, if there's a line, it's not worth the wait, just with the option of eating standing up. The only thing they're worth it for is the price. For a little more, you have better options in Berlin.
