Sunday April 13th, 2025 was up with a mountain bike, and just wonderful, the service and the sausage salad were just great, compliments and see you soon again 🍀🌞👍
PS: EC card works
The beer garden has seriously lost its way; the staff is overwhelmed and poorly organized. We waited 1.5 hours for the fairly simple food (two currywursts with fries). The sausages were only lukewarm and had definitely been on the grill too long. The tables weren't cleared, and you were lucky to find a small, clean spot somewhere. We were very annoyed and won't be visiting this beer garden again.
Very friendly staff. The food was delicious and plentiful. I'll definitely go again. They've renovated the restaurant. It looks great and very inviting. Thank you very much.
❤️Thank you very much
to today's service in the Wimbach Castle.
Very friendly, no matter how busy there is.
My respect.
The setting is perfect.
In gratitude for this special place.
Unfortunately, the schnitzels are frozen and the dumpling portion is too small for the price. One (or we) expect authentic local food from an inn in this corner.
There are much better alternatives in this region.
We got a table for 11 people at short notice on a Saturday. The restaurant was actually already busy, but they made it possible for us.
A big thank you for that.
The service was friendly and the food was good.
However, there are small points of criticism for the starter with honeydew melon and Serrano ham and the dessert mousse au chocolat.
The starter was a bit carelessly prepared. What I actually know is that the individual melon slices are wrapped with the Serreano ham. Here, however, the melon slices were lined up and there was just a lot of Serrano ham on top, so you had to look for the melon pieces first. Half the ham would have been more than enough, as the Serrano itself had a strong, salty taste of its own. As much ham as there was on it would have fed a family of several people for a snack. *laughs*
Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to an appetizer.
The chocolate mousse wasn't my cup of tea. I actually know it to be nice and fluffy, light and tasting like chocolate. Here, however, it was quite solid, almost similar to buttercream and also had a slightly floury taste. Too much baking cocoa was probably used. Unfortunately it didn't really taste chocolatey.
But the pizzas were really great, as befits a real Italian restaurant. Thumbs up for that.
I had a pizza with ham, tomatoes, mozzarella and rocket. I love arugula and asked if I could have some more. I immediately received a plate with an extra portion of arugula.
Since I only managed half of the pizza, the rest was wrapped in aluminum foil. Thank you for that.
Whenever I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back for pizza.
We had a very nice evening at the Hindenburghütte. Service was super fast, the food met our expectations and the Berg Fexn created a great atmosphere. We'd love to come back again‼️
Been there several times over the last 15 years for various reasons:
Conveniently located, usually enough parking spaces in the yard, rarely "laps of honor" in the neighborhood.
Prices...rather not at the lower end of the scale.
Check it out beforehand so there won't be any surprises.
The guests, some of whom had traveled from far away for a memorial service following the burial at the nearby Südfriedhof, were satisfied with the choice of location/café and with the service/offer.
Good recommendation!
