The mushrooms were good. But a critical note about the Allgäu national dish: They are called “cheese spaetzle”, not “broth spaetzle”. It would be nice if, despite Swabian austerity, people in Swabia could at least get some measurable value in return. In any case, water, flour, a little onions and lettuce, and at most a teaspoon full of cheese (worth a total of less than 2 euros) are not enough for 13.90. If you added cheese (and cream) for 1 euro, it would taste good and both the host and the guest would be happy. P. S. Cream appears in just as many Kässpätzle recipes as broth. But it was also primarily about the ingredient “cheese”.

Service seemed stressed. Eating went like this. Roast pork lukewarm, sauce too salty. Dumplings good. Won't eat there anymore.

Had a Kaiserschmarren (which can also be ordered without raisins!) It was very tasty for my taste!! However, you should know that it is very caramelized. So it's more for those with a sweet tooth ;) Service was very friendly and quick with service.

We were in Memmingen for the first time today. Since we came from the south on a motorbike, we are looking for German cuisine! And what can I say…….sensationally delicious and excellent service! It doesn't get much better than this! Definitely the best knuckle I have eaten so far and it was also carved under the guidance of our waiter. A perfect evening for 5 hungry bikers. This is exactly how gastronomy should be! That's exactly how you want it!

Very large portions. I do not recommend pork shank for one person, it can easily be one portion for two or even three people.

Everything is perfect here - authentic from the service to the house to the really delicious food. A comparatively small menu, but with local dishes is really great. Kaiserschmarren is also delicious, with a clear caramel note :)

The one place you must go to when you’re in Memmingen! I never thought I’d be this blown away by Bavarian food, until I came here. A bit expensive, but well worth every penny.

Well, a very good place. Lively, not specialized for tourists. The food is delicious, the waiters are great, very fast, friendly, and give excellent recommendations. Incredibly, one of them spoke Russian very well. If you are in Memminen then you just need to stop by to complete the picture.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while stopping for a night in the city. We found a welcoming place, very kind staff as well as excellent traditional Bavarian food. We ate the famous pork shank and the typical dessert Kaiserschmarrn. All very good. To be recommended.

We had a great meal and time at this place. The pork knuckle was amazing (we ordered one for two and couldn’t finish it) and the dessert Kaiserschmarrn was really good too. The waiter was very attentive, I’ll definitely go again when in Memmingen.

Food was good, service was less so. After ordering, the food was on the table in less than 10 minutes. The plates were already collected while one of us was still eating. The service was nice, but very rushed, which made it difficult to sit comfortably, even though it was not busy at all. There were still several places available. Homemade pepper sauce is very tasty.

Wir waren mit zwei Personen zum Essen. Das Personal war jederzeit aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen sehr schmackhaft. Der Schweinebraten war eine gute Portion. Die Schweinshaxe sehr lecker, außen knusprig und innen zart durchgegart. Die Fleischportion reicht für zwei Personen, was sogar angeboten wird. Wir werden dort auf jeden Fall wieder essen.

Wir waren 8 Freunde, wir waren 5 Tage im Memmingen, an 3 Abenden waren wir bei Euch. Einfach nur super!!! Super tolles Essen, nicht zu übertreffende, freundliche,aufmerksame Bedienung, selbst als mein Mann und ich einen Fitnesssalat zusammen essen wollten, war das ok. Würde sofort wieder hingehen😀😀

Typically Swabian/Bavarian Allgäu restaurant Excellent for spaetzle, schnitzel and also vegetarian dishes. The place was packed and we sat down with others at the “regulars’ table”. In the end there were six of us who had excellent conversations about our travels.

Outrageously family-unfriendly service from the short-haired blonde lady. At first she had to tell our son that he wasn't allowed to break the decorations, then I got a really bad look because my drink accidentally fell down and in the end she had a problem with my husband because he wanted to pay with a card. Nice restaurant but the main thing is cashing up... What a shame.

Some of the best food and drink we've had in this beautiful town. The service was amazing, Daniel's was impeccable from start to finish, he really made this trip and went above and beyond. I'll pass on his recommendation to you: reserve a table early and reserve a pork knuckle, easily enough food for 3-4 people. We've kept on coming back and highly recommend 👌. The food is very good and friendly service. You sit very comfortably. The only negative thing is that if you reserve in advance and the weather is nice, which you don't know beforehand, you are not allowed to sit outside even though everything is free. But reserving for outside is not possible.

Visited this restaurant as we were looking for a traditional meal while staying in Memmingen. The food was hearty and delicious, the potato salad was particularly good and all the meat we had was so tender. The service was excellent too, such a friendly team, I must give a special mention to the German-American waiter. He is such good fun, and really made our evening. We would definitely return if staying in Memmingen again!

In summer you can sit outside and either enjoy the sun or under the umbrella in the shade sit. We always enjoy coming back whenever we feel like eating out.
