First, the positives: The best stuffed dates! The rest of my vegetarian meal was good, but absolutely not worth the price. My mom and my partner had meat dishes and they liked them, but again, the price was unjustified. The deal-breaker for us was the absolutely terrible, grumpy service, the owner himself. We definitely didn't experience any hospitality, quite the opposite. When it came time to pay, my husband misspoke, and the owner immediately commented, "It's about 50 cents." He probably doesn't need the business, the poor guy... Never again!

The New Year's Eve menu was an absolute disaster. The four of us ordered the same amount as the two at the next table, different dessert plates, and the servers were overwhelmed... To top it all off, they didn't accept card payments on New Year's Eve, but they did on all other days. Just a few days before, we specifically asked about it, and they said it wouldn't be a problem. After a long discussion, we were led into a back room, told not to tell anyone, and then allowed to pay by card (of course, without a receipt). Perhaps the tax authorities should take a closer look at this? ;)

A very stylish restaurant serving Persian food – whether vegan, vegetarian, or meat-eaters – there's something for everyone. The dishes are already presented as set menus on a slightly different menu. The large appetizer platter is highly recommended – it's perfect for sharing. Homemade lemonades – absolutely delicious! The Luisengarten has separate small rooms, a large main room, and smaller private booths.

The Luisengarten was always a lovely and popular spot for us to go on special occasions. But this place has completely lost its way. It started with the menu changes, and you're more or less forced to order a whole course. Then there's the fact that you can't order appetizers in peace; you're immediately pressured to order a main course. The food quality is still very good, but the portions were tiny. I was still hungry after the appetizer and main course. Simply disappointing.

Very rude experience. Was asked to leave because 4th person was 15 mins late. Were told no need to finish drinks. When asked for card payment were told this is a restaurant not Döner Shop.

Take the most wonderful people, an incredibly cozy place, and the best food in the world, prepared with heart and love: and you get the Luisengarten. The food is a true journey of taste, the staff incredibly friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The ambiance is simply cozy; even when it's busy, every need is taken care of and it remains cozy. I can only recommend anyone coming to or from Würzburg to spend at least one evening there. You'll want to go back again and again. And I would especially like to praise Karina, who, with her joie de vivre and her love for her work and for people, makes this whole experience unique. You just want to hug her all day long. 😁

Overall, unfortunately, a sobering experience. There's a lot of vegetarian food, which is really positive. But the portion sizes and the dishes are simply priced inexplicably. Sure, the tiered stand looks pretty. But essentially, it's two small, cold platters—one consisting of preserved nectarines and beets—and a slice of toasted bread. €25 for that? That's incomprehensible; two people could easily shell out €80 and leave hungry. Besides, the menus we were given inside offered fewer options than what was displayed outside. That, too, was rather unpleasant. The food isn't bad, but the prices just aren't right.

Very nice ambiance, a bit too dark, but the upholstered booths were really nice. The starter was delicious, the main course okay. The waiter seemed very stressed and very abrupt. His mind was always three steps ahead and he was off the table again in a flash. Yes, the restaurant was already quite full shortly after five. But there's no point in rushing from one to the other. I had a sour cherry lemonade and ordered a bottle of water a little later. He put the water bottle on the table and immediately left. Unfortunately, I didn't get a water glass to go with it. It wasn't a big deal; I took the lemonade glass... but he was already somewhere else mentally and physically. I would have preferred a bit more peace and quiet for him, or rather, a bit more relaxation. I totally appreciate that he wants to satisfy his guests as quickly as possible, but an extra minute with the guest doesn't hurt anyone. We will definitely come back and try more of the delicacies. Kinda forced to have a menu, but nice way of serving the food. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good, also not bad though. To use canned mango in a "mango salad" during summer is not what I expected. The other dishes were OK. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

A wonderful selection of food from Iran and Afghanistan. The quality is very good, the service is also good, the staff are friendly, and the decor is really great. A particularly positive feature is that there is parking in an underground garage next to the building.

A chance Google search, based on its proximity to the Residenz palace, which we had previously visited, led us to this restaurant on the edge of the ramparts. What awaits us in the initially difficult-to-categorize 'Luisengarten'? Persian, Afghan, perhaps even a touch of Franconian cuisine? The menu in the bright, friendly dining room, however, is unequivocal: The inviting matzo, the imaginative tiered stands with the main courses, and the Balagan, the house recommendation that combines all of this into one menu, promise the finest oriental delights. Only the wine list is Franconian here, and even that is something they know their stuff about. What is then gradually brought to the table by the extremely attentive service is not only a visual revelation, but also unfolds unexpected explosions of flavor: The falafel, I dare say I know a thing or two about, are top-notch – darkly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. We devour the rest of the tahini-sesame dip with the fluffy flatbread... it's enough to eat. I haven't yet fully analyzed what's in it, but I'm getting the hang of it! I've had the pleasure of tasting many olives in my lifetime, but never in such a unique dip. Borani Bademjan, the dip made of roasted eggplant, yogurt, mint, onions, garlic, and who knows what else, leaves us in awe. We skip the rest, because the following salad features delicious Moroccan puff pastry rolls and roasted (!) peaches underneath... who would think of that? The main courses follow, with classic saffron rice adorned with barberries. When we finish it too quickly, another bowl arrives without asking. I've already learned to love the braised eggplant in spicy tomato sauce at other Persian establishments. These ones melt in the mouth and, as promised, are very spicy—a poem! Golkelame Kebabi: I admit that cauliflower usually bores me. But this one, grilled in almond sauce with a mild curry touch, blows me away. Respect, only the Indians have managed that with their Aloo Gobi. Just to be on the safe side, we also ordered the meat-eaters' version: kabab and braised chicken leg. But it wouldn't have been necessary, the vegan alternatives are so incredibly tasty, filling, and satisfying. All in all, I can say without exaggeration that I've found my current culinary highlight in Würzburg's gastronomy.

Everything was really wonderful. Unfortunately we had just one night in Würzburg, we would have loved to go the already the next day...

Unfortunately, I can only partially understand the positive reviews. Perhaps we just caught a terrible day with service?! The reception was friendly, and our seating requests were accommodated (we moved from outside to inside before ordering due to the weather). Our orders were taken relatively quickly. But that was about it for the service. The two of us ordered Balagan. The wait wasn't a problem; it takes time. But with the first bowls, we were surprised to discover that we hadn't received any drinks yet. Reporting this ourselves was just as impossible as ordering another drink because we were simply ignored. The appetizers were simply placed on the table without any explanation, which I would have expected given the many small variations. The second portion (salad/cigar) arrived very quickly and was somehow placed on the small table. But the bowls weren't cleared away promptly or at all to make room. My wife then placed them on the neighboring table, but that didn't bother us, as it wasn't cleared for a long time either (just like the very formal wooden table, which ultimately became the central place for glasses). Finally, we had a braised chicken leg, which was served facing away from us, while we chatted with someone else during the meal (so, again, no reordering drinks was possible, see above, aside from the impression). Why two people only received one leg is beyond me. What would we have received if only one person had ordered Balagan? In any case, the service was abysmal for this price. I would describe the food as mediocre. I haven't eaten at many restaurants serving Middle Eastern cuisine, but I found the few others without exception better (more interesting, more exotic...). Certainly a matter of taste. Uncleared dishes, both at our place and in the surrounding area, give me the impression of being unkempt. We weren't even asked if everything was OK or if it tasted good. This has generally happened, as two young ladies at the next table received them. We were there on July 26th, and the place was well-staffed, but not packed.

The waiter forgot about us when we tried to order. We had an appetizer plate for four people. We expected fresh plates for the main course, but that wasn't the case. We ended up with the used plates from the appetizer. Then we asked for the dessert menu. "Coming right away." After half an hour, we decided not to have dessert. We were there with friends who said the service was better last time.

The interior is lovingly and stylishly coordinated. Even going to the bathroom is an experience. It smells wonderfully of various room fragrances! The food is incomparably good and a true explosion of flavors! Since we unknowingly arrived half an hour before opening and the kitchen wasn't ready by then, they brought us lots of extra treats for dessert – on the house! I will definitely come back and leave a generous tip for this outstanding service!

Unfortunately, I have to say that since the switch to tiered serving a while ago, the prices have skyrocketed, and the portions have become smaller. It's hard to spend less than €40 per person—more like €50+ if you want to get a bit full and try a bit of variety. As long as it's going well and the customers are paying for it, I'm happy for you. We had the Balagan and everything tasted so good that we had what we couldn't finish packed up. This was only our second time eating Persian food. The first time was in Potsdam. I would never have thought there could be two such different Persian restaurants. Both in terms of ambiance and the food. We were absolutely thrilled this time, and if we're ever in the Würzburg area again, we'll definitely come back.

We had to wait 40 minutes for our appetizer, even though it only took 5 to 10 minutes for the next table to be served. Although it was still quiet at 5:30 p.m., the waiters didn't even notice that we sat there without food the whole time. It was also very warm, but the umbrellas weren't open. The food was okay, considering the price. Ordering more drinks was very difficult, as the staff barely paid attention to us.

A cluster of unprofessional service: relatively long waits for orders, and only after asking twice did we discover that the dessert menu wasn't currently available. We waited 20 minutes to pay, then another 8 because the card reader was acting up. Totally understaffed and, unfortunately, a tedious visit...

Personal advice and recommendations from the charming kitchen fairy for dessert were provided at your table.

I wanted to go there with my partner yesterday. We were completely ignored. I had to get the menu myself, and there was no greeting. We eventually left the restaurant to order something upstairs. Given the prices, I expect a minimum of service. Therefore, I won't be going there again. It's a shame the long journey, as it's not a central location!

We hope this changes in the future as the food is really good - it's just the service that needs to be improved.

Nichts mit orientalischen Essen. Atmosphäre langweilig und das Essen auch. Ungewürztes Essen (zumindest haben wir nichts geschmeckt), viel zu viel Reis und zu wenig Fleisch. Lieblos angerichtet und wir haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt. Das ist schon die 2. Bewertung welche ich abgebe. Bei der ersten Bewerrtung wurde mir mit einem Anwalt gedroht. Nach Recherche gab es diesen Anwalt gar nicht. Auch wenn die Bewertungen gut sein sollte für dieses Restaurant wird hier mit allen Mitteln daran gearbeitet keine schlechten Bewertungen zu veröffentlichen.

Since the two of us only wanted to eat a little something and ordered the Royal starter plate (25 euros) for 2 people and two lime mint drinks, we were told several times that we would have to order at least one main course each. After the third request/demand we paid for the drinks and left the restaurant. The waiter said we have to understand it, he is required by his management to generate a minimum turnover.

A MUST GO for vegetarian & vegan culinary delights! You walk in and are immediately greeted by the beautiful, authentic ambience and lots of warmth. You can also sit outside wonderfully! The wine selection is wonderful, there are even organic wines on the menu! The homemade mint lemonade is also an absolute recommendation, especially on warmer days! ... and then the food... Here you can taste the freshness, the homemade food, the attention to detail. Whether it's the deliciously crispy falafel, the creamy hummus or the variety of other delicious spreads, dips, breads, stews, etc. The eggplant dish with rice is also simply amazing! ABSOLUTE HEART RECOMMENDATION!!!!

Yesterday the two of us had dinner in the Luisengarten. It was a great, successful evening, from the stylish, modern ambience to the friendly and competent service to the varied, delicious food. I would also like to mention the super clean sanitary facilities. The restaurant is not located directly in the center, but the 10-minute walk from the center along the residence is definitely worth it!

The restaurant is stylish and has good service. I was looking for an Iranian meal in Würzburg, but the quality of the food and the variety of the menu did not meet my expectations. Jujeh Kabab was dry and not well marinated. Kubideh was also dry and low in fat. Thanks for the effort to prepare an Iranian meal, but actually is needs little change.

Die Karte bietet einmal eine Reise durch den Orient und ist für unseren Geschmack sehr ansprechend. Das Essen war sehr gut, und der ganze Tisch war happy. Wir hatten die Vorspeisenplatte und das Balagan Menü, welches sehr reichlich war, und Jeder satt wurde. Das Dessert war super !
