Blossersberger Keller in Viechtach

Unusual for northern Germans: Before entering the beer garden, you have to wait until you're assigned a seat. My companion wasn't familiar with this custom and apparently didn't quite understand it, and we were promptly greeted with the announcement that only friendly people who politely obey the rules would be served. So, it's a bit stiff and stuffy there. As long-haired, authority-doubting people, we didn't fit in very well. However, the table service and the food were excellent. The beer garden is a terrace, not very idyllic, situated between the street and a large (parking) area. The restaurant is part of a hotel.

We had a wonderful dinner with our two girls. The service was excellent ! Really nice people and a very nice place , with a small playground for the kids. All was tasty ! The Salmon fish was great (we asked for the fish without the sauce ), the tuna salad dish was big and fresh , the chicken breast and the rice that came with it was great , and the chicken nuggets were really good! The girls liked the food very much (finally they enjoyed something other then pizza) .. We all enjoyed our evening . Highly recommend.

The food is amazing – the Cordon Bleu was brought to us quickly, including our special request for spaetzle and gravy, and it tasted like grandpa's home-style ale! 🍺🥨🐐 The Goaßmaß (meat of goat beer) is perfectly mixed, and the whole ambiance is just perfect. Whether for a cozy meal with friends or celebrating with family – this is the place to be! We'll definitely be back! Hats off and cheers to the whole team! The extremely attractive Wolfgang, in particular, is truly a cutie and made our evening truly special 😍

First of all: the food is good and the price is perfectly reasonable. In the summer, you can also sit in a pleasant outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the wait was extremely long, a full hour, and the beer was extremely poorly poured. Our request for a refill was met with reluctance, and afterward, there was only a bit more foam in the glass. That's a bummer, and unfortunately, both leave only a mediocre rating...

Great food! We spontaneously went there on a Saturday evening and managed to get a seat despite the restaurant being quite busy. The service was incredibly friendly, and the wait for our food wasn't particularly long. We're like our 9-year-old daughter: We'd rather wait a little longer but get a really good meal. We'll definitely be back and recommend it 100 percent.

Very good restaurant. Our dog was given water as soon as we sat down. The service was very attentive and friendly, and the wait for the food was perfectly acceptable. There were five of us, and everyone was very satisfied with the food, including dessert. The price was reasonable, too.

We ate there on Saturday evening without a reservation. Super friendly service... At first, it felt like a long time before we could order. The waitress was alone and very busy... but then... the drinks came very quickly, and then the food, which took 10 minutes. I've rarely eaten so well. Lumberjack steak with fried potatoes was very, very good.... Cordon bleu was very good. Schnitzel and chicken nuggets were very good, and the price/performance ratio was very good.... We had a good hour of very good food and drinks.... Would go back anytime....

We had a delicious meal in the beer garden and received friendly service, even if the waitresses took a bit of time. The kitchen was quick when the courses were called. Excellent, we'd love to go back!

The food was okay, the prices were okay, but unfortunately, there was a pretty long wait for further service after the initial order – even though we were the only guests inside and the beer garden was half full. We paid the bill at the counter because we didn't want to wait any longer. The atmosphere was very nice, though, and the restrooms were nice and clean.

We were here in the beer garden for the first time today. The beer garden is beautifully laid out, and everything is very clean. The food selection is very diverse. Most importantly, it's very tasty and the portions are generous. The highlight, however, was that the owner took the time to greet each and every guest. You don't see that very often these days...! All in all, highly recommended!

The service was excellent. The food was delicious, and the host personally checked on each table to see how the guests were feeling. Each child also received a lollipop.

In this beautiful beer garden, you'll be surrounded by a stunningly beautiful Japanese dogwood, enormous Annabell hydrangeas with large white blossoms, a red plum tree with fruit, and fragrant lavender teeming with insects. Our 4-year-old son had a blast on the fenced, safe climbing playground, and we parents had a lovely time chatting. The Burgundy roast was tender as butter and the spaetzle fluffy... simply divine. The waiter in lederhosen 😍 was excellent. We'd love to come back.

Everything was great, we were just surprised to be the only guests; others gradually arrived. The food was exceptionally good and quick, but getting a drink refill sometimes took just as long as ordering something else (because they didn't check to make sure everything was OK). Be careful, the toilet is downstairs; it's not wheelchair accessible. The senior citizen is very talkative. Some will like it, others won't, but all in all, it certainly deserves 5 stars, and we'd be happy to go back.

Today, after canoeing, we went to the Blossersberger Keller with our work group (19 people) for a final dinner, even though they're actually closed today. I had called in advance to make a reservation, and the proprietor immediately offered to open the restaurant especially for us. At the Blossersberger Keller, they go "the extra mile," which was a very pleasant surprise. The proprietor, Johann Klein, and all the service staff, who were gathered together on their day off, were extremely friendly and accommodating; the food served was truly delicious and beautifully presented. And all of this at a very reasonable, fair price. What more could you want? We would be happy to return to the Blossersberger Keller for a future group event, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

After a long time we were back in the Blossersberger Keller: The food has become even better, very good soups, a fine selection of main courses and salads. Service perfect, even though there was a lot going on. And we also had a very nice chat with the usher. That's how hospitality works, we'd love to come back!

Me and my friends were passing through while on tour from America and have been to dozens of restaurants in Europe over the past few weeks. Blosserberger Keller has some of the best food, the best atmosphere and the kindest people we have experienced. Thank you for the wonderful meal, the warm spirit and the lecker schnapps!

We really had a great visit here! There were four of us with two relatively large dogs and a baby. Our two dogs were welcome and were each given a bowl of water. A high chair was provided for our baby. The food was fantastic, the waiter was super nice and accommodating. The only thing I have to note is that you should probably not place people with dogs directly at the entrance, but rather somewhere in a corner. Dogs tend to defend their space and bark at everything that comes in the door. All in all, we really enjoyed staying here!

I get the Viennese style schnitzel with fries at every snack bar, but I don't expect it to be any different there. Many of the fries had black spots and the ketchup and mayo came in pre-packaged foil bags, like at a diner.

A real Bavarian economy! Everything was very clean and very comfortable with lots of wood. A super friendly host and very professional service staff. But the most important thing: delicious food at reasonable prices. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back! LG

There were two of us and we were brought to a seat quite quickly, without a reservation. The drinks were also brought to the table very quickly. The menu is a pleasant size and there were two additional daily specials. The food is plentiful, the salad was very fresh and has a very good dressing. The pike perch fillet was fried to perfection and the mashed potatoes with celery were very tasty. The hunter's roast was very tender and also tasted great. The portions are really big and sufficient. The toilets were very clean, the visit was worth it and I would happily recommend it to others. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the senior also came to the table for a relaxed, nice chat and you feel very welcome.

First of all, thanks to our host René, who, despite the stress in the restaurant, sat us at a table far away from the hustle and bustle :). The food was fantastic! Both the vegetarian salad and the schnitzel were really on the top shelf in terms of taste. The beer also tasted great. We will be happy to come here again on our next vacation in the Bavarian Forest. See you soon!

Very nice, “good middle-class restaurant”. Food was great, the only point deducted was for the long waiting times. People who arrived later were more likely to be served - despite reservations. As the evening progressed, the senior boss came to the table and thanked us for coming. Rarely experienced something like that. Keep it up 👏
