Hindenburghütte in Reit im Winkl

Wir haben am 5.7. unsere Silberhochzeit auf der Hindenburghütte gefeiert und es blieb kein Wunsch unerfüllt. Das Essen war hervorragend, übrigens waren die Bratkartoffeln die besten die wir alle je gegessen hatten, die Bedienung war erstklassig, das Ambiente in der Sektbar und auch in der Hütte waren wunderschön. Der Hüttenbesitzer, Günther, hat uns mit seinen Kollegen musikalisch in die richtige Stimmung gebracht. Wir würden jederzeit wieder zum Günther auf die Hindenburghütte zum feiern oder nach einer Wanderung einkehren. Vielen Dank nochmal, auch im Namen unserer Gäste, für die gelungene Feier. Toller Blick ins Tal! Nette Hütte mit schönen Plätzen im Freien. Wir haben nur Kuchen gegessen (Käsekuchen). Der war ok, aber nichts Besonderes. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Wir haben den Premiumwanderweg Almgenuss gemacht. War teils etwas anstrengend, aber sehr schön!

Mein Hund und ich sind viel in den Chiemgauer Bergen unterwegs. Die Hindenburghütte gehört inzwischen zu unseren Favoriten. Der Wirt dort ist ein recht sympathisches Original alpenländischer Kultur. Authentisch wechselnd zwischen wortkargem Charm und bayrischer Geselligkeit passt er perfekt in das Gebiet rund um die Hemmersuppenalm. Schöne Wälder, grüne Wiesen und schroffer Fels, für die entspannte Familientour genauso geeignet wie für ausgedehnte Wanderungen. Beständig ist der freundliche Service im Restaurant und die Qualität der Gerichte. Die Käseknödel sind immer gut und mein Hund freut sich über die Leckerlis die er dort bekommt. Insgesamt hat es großen Erholungswert und ist für 2 und 4-Beiner zu empfehlen.

Am Essen fehlte Würze und zum Salat Dressing, Eiscafe statt Vanille Eis Schokoladen Eis, die musikalische Unterhaltung war gut. Aussicht hervorragend. Transfer stolperhaft. Bei großer Hitze nicht zu empfehlen wenn man auf den kostenlosen Transport angewiesen ist Bedienung war ei n wenig durch die Hitze nicht so freundlich und schnell. Gut dass wir unsere Getränke Flaschen bei uns hatten.

Immer wieder schön toller Blick von oben auf den Chiemsee. Die Herrentoilette ist alleine schon einen Besuch wert.

"Ob Sommer oder Winter - am scheenst'n ist's beim Günther" - ein Spruch, der wirkt und stimmt! Wer eine urige Hütte zum Feiern, Essen & Trinken sucht, is hier oben genau richtig. Das Essen ist unglaublich gut (obgleich ich JEDES mal an den Spaghetti-Wolpertinger hängen bleibe) und als Bier-Sommelier kann einen Günther zu jedem Gericht das passende Bier empfehlen ;-) Sowohl im Sommer (mit den Bikes) als auch im Winter (mit den Langlauf-Ski) findet man hier oben auf der Hemmersuppnalm alle erdenklichen Möglichkeiten für jede Art von Freizeitaktivität. Und auch an einem verregneten Tag lohnt sich ein Ausflug (auch per Shuttle-Bus ab Wanderparkplatz-Blindau) zum Günther bei feinster Live-Musik (Empfehlung: seine eigene Band, die Bergfex'n) und gepflegter zünftiger Unterhaltung. Wer noch nicht hier war: ein absolutes Muss im Chiemgau (!)

Super freundlicher Hüttenwirt! Wir kamen bei strömendem Regen dort an und obwohl die Hütte eigentlich geschlossen hatte, hat man uns sofort auf bayrisch urige und freundliche Art Asyl gewährt. Wir bekamen zu Trinken und auch eine Brotzeit wurde uns angeboten. Unsere beiden Hunde bekamen dann prompt noch Leckerlis 🐕. Sehr geil - so möchte man aufgenommen werden! Danke nochmal an den Hüttenwirt.

Super wenn man dort it, es gab Live Musik. Aber 20 Euro für den Bus (Privatstraße darf nicht befahren werden) war überraschend viel. Es wäre gut, eine explizite Warnung auf die Webseite zu nehmen, dass man NICHT mit dem Auto herfahren kann. Die Navis sagen nämlich, das es geht, auch diese Dienste sollte man kontaktieren und den Stand der Dinge mitteilen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch preislich in Ordnung. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und auch der Ausblick sowie das Ambiente waren sehr schön. Die Hütte ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zur Hemmersuppenalm. Der Rundweg könnte jedoch besser beschildert sein. Zudem gewaltiger Punktabzug, da der Transfer vom Parkplatz Blindau zur Hindenburgalm absolut überteuert ist! Der Bustransfer kostet für hin und zurück 18 Euro pro Person für ca. 5 min Fahrzeit. Zudem fährt er sehr unregelmäßig und ggf nur stündlich je nach Saison. Auf die Hütte darf man nich selbst fahren. Somit ist der Bus die einzige Altermative zum steilen Fußweg.

Nette Hütte nach einem Langlauftag oder Wanderung des Panoramaweges. Moderate angemessene Preise, grosse Auswahl, sitzen vor dem Haus, oder der kleinen Hütte oder in der Sonnenliege. An- und Abfahrt mit eigenen Bussen für 19,-. Nett wäre, dass in dem Preis eine Reduktion wäre, wenn man auf der Hindenburghütte essen würde, bei 3 Personen mit fast 60,- An- und Abfahrt echt happig.

Wir hatten nach einer Wanderung von Reit im Winkel aus ein tolles Mittagessen. Die Atmosphäre und die Aussicht waren wirklich schön. Der Service war freundlich. :) Und es gibt auch vegetarische Gerichte.

The cabin evening on January 28, 2026, was a disaster. We had registered in December for nine people. Unfortunately, the reservation was forgotten. We sat in a side room for dinner... then we were seated on the "dance floor." This turned into a catastrophe as the evening progressed. We've been coming to this cabin evening at the Hindenburg Hut for years. This was the last time for us.

After the Zirbelstube, this is my favorite place in the village! A visit always feels like a day's vacation! Thank you all!

A truly rustic alpine hut with a lovely little menu that changes slightly every day. You feel comfortable and warmly welcomed here. And the owner even plays music with his band. The hut evenings and other events are a highlight. Highly recommended if you're near Reit im Winkl.

Quaint dining room, perfect location, incredibly good food (never eaten such delicious potato rösti) and a boss who personally checks that his guests are doing well (including a farewell photo) - would gladly come again anytime - a must if you are in the area.

Traditional Bavarian mountain inn. The food and atmosphere are rustic. It is recommended to use the shuttle and explore the hiking trails near the inn.

A lovely mountain inn with stunning views and delicious food. The service is quick and friendly, even when it's busy. If you're lucky, the innkeeper might even serenade you.

There's no better place to relax after a hike. The view is breathtaking: Kampenwand and Lake Chiemsee.

A fantastic alpine inn with a cult host! A very nice, spacious beer garden with a view of Lake Chiemsee. Typical, high-quality cuisine. The sour cream cake is an absolute must when visiting the Hindenburghütte.

Of course, it's an absolute must when you're in Reit im Winkl. The adventurous ride up to the hut in a 4x4 bus is always great, too. The hut evenings are always lovely, too.

The inn is nice, with good food, friendly service and a great location. 3 stars because the transfer is a disaster: you don't know when or if you'll get along, and the driver is so unfriendly that it's almost frightening.

We had a really great day. First we took the bus up to the hut - that was a great experience. Once at the top we were able to take a free sledge and go on a great snow hike with the children. At the end, the stop at the hut was fantastic. The food was all really tasty, the service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was absolutely feel-good. We will definitely come back when we are nearby.

The Hindenburg Hütte team is really nice and very Bavarian. It's a lot of fun to come up here and enjoy the snow there in winter (cross-country skiing, sledding or hiking) - while everything in the valley is already gone.

Great place to stop off. Food delicious, atmosphere quaint. Menu is different, for example no Schitzel or Kaiserschmarn.

Wir waren zu viert beim Hüttenabend in der Hindenburghütte .Wir waren jetzt insgesamt das dritte Mal bei diesem schönen bayrischen Abend .Und wir waren wieder begeistert .Was die Familie Dirnhofer bietet ist einfach Klasse .Ein "Muss"für jeden ,der in Reit im Winkl oder Umgebung Urlaub macht .Wir würden ,wie abgemacht mit dem Shuttle Bus abgeholt ,haben sehr gut bayrisch gegessen .Die Location für so einen Abend einfach Klasse .Bedienung freundlich und schnell .Ja und zu dem Urgestein Günter und seine Bergfex'n brauch man nicht mehr viel sagen: Das war Spaß ,Unterhaltung erster Klasse .Danke für diesen tollen Abend 👍.Wir werden beim nächsten Reit im Winkl Urlaub wieder dort einkehren . Übrigens:Das ist nicht nur was für Ältere.Unsere Tochter(23jahre) +Schwiegersohn waren mit .Die Beiden waren auch völlig begeistert 😊

Hier kann man einen sehr netten Mittag verbringen. Sehr nette Location mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Leckere Speisen und eine sehr reichhaltige Speisekarte. Hier dürfte für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei sein.

After a snowshoe hike on the Hemmersuppenalm, we stopped at the Alpengasthof Hindenburghütte. Here you can expect a cool location with very friendly service and delicious food.

Good food, nice service and ambience. We were in winter. You can go up with a paid shuttle bus. Ideal and quiet starting point for winter hikes, tobogganing, cross-country skiing. Perfect if you don't do alpine skiing and definitely preferable to the overcrowded Winkelmoosalm.

We were there for the hut fun and then just like that. It couldn't be better. Hut fun was so great. Music, food, ambience couldn't be better. Günter is simply the best and his “band” is absolutely great. I haven't had this much fun in so long. Thanks. It was a great transition to my birthday. I can't put it into words. You are simply mega. So now I'm looking for an apartment and a job 🫶 I felt at home. Absolutely recommended and absolutely addictive

Very nice place to relax and walk in both the snow and the sun at a warm 20° in summer. The hut evening in winter and early shopping in summer with live music are also wonderful.

The atmosphere in the cabin is rustic and inviting, with an open fireplace and a cozy, warm ambience that is perfect for a relaxing retreat after an active day in the snow. An absolute highlight in winter is the sleigh ride, which inspires many guests. From the Hindenburghütte you can take a 4 km long descent by sleigh, which offers lots of fun and thrills. The path down leads through picturesque winter landscapes and provides an unforgettable adrenaline rush. The sledges are available on site and are perfect for a descent.

This is exactly how a lowland Tyrolean imagines an alpine farm. Bavarian ambience meets personal charm and the culture of the mountains. GREAT FOOD.

Never again! Endless rip-offs. We each drank 2 beers and took 4 0.33 bottles with us. 40 euros and the beer was expired. It has zero flair.

There is always live music here on Sundays. When the weather is nice you can see as far as Lake Chiemsee. You either have to walk up or take a bus from the Hindenburghütte, which is closed to your own cars.

Beautiful hut with a cozy beer garden and authentic interior. Nice staff. Good draft beer and very tasty food. When the weather is good you have a view of Lake Chiemsee from the beer garden. The live music for the Sunday morning pint was TOP. Dog friendly host. Personally, the transfer by minibus was too expensive for me.

Were here for a cozy morning with music. Great ambience and great atmosphere. Really worth a visit, we used the bus because the climb is quite steep and we hadn't planned that. The bus transfer works perfectly. Clear recommendation to visit. Great view of Lake Chiemsee and the surrounding area.
