The Zirbelstube in Reit im Winkl comes highly recommended. Upon entering the dining room, you're greeted by a rustic Bavarian charm that feels light and not at all old-fashioned. We immediately felt very comfortable. The friendly, attentive lady from the service team welcomed us as if we were long-time regulars. Our food was served very quickly. The kitchen team cooks with solid, expert skill using high-quality ingredients – you can taste the difference. We had a pumpkin soup that was piping hot and dressed with pumpkin seed oil. For the main course, we enjoyed venison sauerbraten with potato dumplings and Brussels sprouts. The venison was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of bite. The sauce was divine. A few mushrooms were also included. A perfect autumn dish, just as you'd imagine it. We will definitely return when we're in Reit. Many thanks to the fantastic team – please keep up the great work! I was disappointed with the Zirbelstube! I read the menu on their website and went there because of specific dishes. Unfortunately, they only had a daily specials menu, which only partially matched the website! Apparently, this was due to an upcoming holiday closure.

Delicious all around and absolutely delicious! Friendly waitress. Everything fresh and perfectly portioned. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.

It started well, but unfortunately ended in a complete disappointment. The food was mostly okay, and the service seemed good at first. Unfortunately, things continued very differently: We struggled for 10-15 minutes to get the waitress's attention, but it didn't help; she was on her phone. The assistant (!) ultimately had to get her attention so we could finally order dessert. Sadly, the preparation took at least half an hour, and the end result bore very little resemblance to Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes), not recommended at all. It wasn't any easier to get the waitress's attention when paying, for the same reason. Not recommended!

We didn't have a reservation on the holiday, but they still managed to get a table for five of us. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We can definitely recommend it.

We were very welcome with two dogs and a toddler, even without a reservation. The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious, and we had a truly lovely evening there. We'll definitely be back.

Service and ambiance were great. Drinks were good and meat portions were large. The burger was excellent. Unfortunately, the beef was tough, and the gravy wasn't to our taste (thin and too salty). Hence, unfortunately, only 4 stars.

We visited the Zirbelstube with seven people after a team outing. The restaurant was opened for us in advance (by reservation), and a small menu with a starter and dessert was provided. The communication was very friendly and uncomplicated. The food (roast pork) was impeccable and plentiful, even for those with a strong appetite – the small Kaiserschmarrn turned out to be a huge portion. We returned home plump and very satisfied; we can definitely recommend the Zirbelstube!

The waiter was very inattentive. They didn't give dumplings with the goulash. The waiter was rude when paying.

We just had dinner at the Zirbelstube. The food was absolutely fantastic! The chef knows his craft. The duck was excellent, and the side dishes were homemade and fantastic! The two waitresses were very friendly, prompt, and courteous, despite the stress of the beer garden being very busy. This certainly won't be our last visit to the Zirbelstube!

Highly recommended!!! We arrived a little before the usual dinner time, and the restaurant was still pretty empty, so we didn't need a reservation. Normally, however, booking a table would be advisable. The ambiance is wonderful, and the service was prompt. The food was consistently delicious, well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and freshly prepared. When you hear the schnitzel knocking from the kitchen, that's always a good sign.

Four of us ate there on July 29, 2025. It was simply fantastic. The atmosphere was very cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was the best we had during our stay at Reit im Winkel. What's especially great is that dogs are welcome here, which is a huge plus for us. The spacious layout also ensures that you don't feel cramped and can relax and enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, the restaurant is poorly ventilated, so an outdoor seat is more pleasant.

Very nice beer garden with sunny and shady spots. We managed to get a table spontaneously, but reservations are helpful (if possible). Delicious beer and fantastic food! Venison cordon bleu (!!) and corn-fed chicken with outstanding sweet potato mash and green asparagus were our choices. The Kaiserschmarrn to finish was fantastic! We would come back :-)

As a couple, we lived in one of the existing holiday apartments. This was modern and well equipped. Everything you need was there. If we didn't feel like cooking, we just went to the restaurant in the same building and placed our order. The food is super tasty and has a good price-performance ratio. It is definitely a very good recommendation, regardless of whether you are staying in the Zirbelstube or just eating there or of course both in combination. Clear recommendation from us. It wasn't the last time we were there either.

Fantastic! Great service, nice atmosphere and excellent food. The small but fine menu offers something for everyone. Traditional Bavarian dishes are a little “pimped up” and brought into modern times. Burgers, vegan and for the kids. Everyone will find something there. The dishes are beautifully prepared and of good quality. Special mention should be made of the side salad, delicious. Price/performance ratio is right, we will definitely come back and would definitely recommend it. The cuisine is consistently good, as we have been coming to Reit im Winkl twice a year for years, we can judge that. ----reserve definitely----

Brilliant, we've been here three times and have booked ourselves for dinner again the next few days. Everything tastes great here: From baked alpine cheese balls to fried goat cheese for vegetarians, onion roast from Alpine ox or venison cordon bleu for dad, or delicious fish for mom, there is something for everyone.

The food in the Zirbelstube was extremely tasty and left nothing to be desired. The service was very friendly and attentive, so you could feel completely comfortable. What is particularly positive is that there were no long waiting times, even though the restaurant was busy. Restaurant atmosphere breathtaking! Onion roast completely missed. The name of the dish is based on fried onions and not balsamic onions. 30 euros is already hefty. There were 6 of us in total and all the dishes came lukewarm to cold. We had eaten everything and wouldn't have asked for a discount. An apology would have been great. The restaurant was hardly occupied. Train your staff a little, then it would have been enough for more stars. No offense.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub zweimal in einer Woche Dort. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente hat uns gut gefallen auch unser Hund durfte mit. Leider waren wir am zweiten Abend Komplett alleine im Lokal, was wir bei dem guten Essen sehr schade fanden! Es hat uns sehr sehr gut geschmeckt. Vorallem Wildliebhaber kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. Sowohl das Hirsch Cordon Bleu als auch die Rehpflanzerl waren super. Auch die Marillen Knödel sind zu empfehlen!

Fantastic food! Delicious mushrooms with a fantastic dip, very tasty cream of pumpkin soup. My husband ate Wiener Schnitzel, I ate wonderful chicken with grilled vegetables. These dishes made me believe that you can eat very good food in Germany 😉 For dessert, cafe affogato, which Italy would be proud of, and a very average strudel. The waitress was very nice and the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere in the evening...

Our 2024 vacation in Zirbelstube was very disappointing. In the expensive holiday apartment with cobwebs in the corners in the dining area and in the sleeping area next to the left bed and on the right side there is still old laundry under the shelf. Unclean dark floor with dust and crumbs from previous guests, the sheets were dirty, the bed linen was old and crumpled, the pillows were full of stains. The curtains full of dust and the kitchen appliances greasy and still dirty. Balcony furniture and cushions in need of replacement. No comparison to previous years. Food was no longer as it was on the menu years ago, definitely our last vacation and meal in the Zirbelstube in Reit im Winkl
