Fasanerie Beer Garden – Summer Evening Happiness Under Old Trees A wonderful place to end the day! We were there with friends for dinner – and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the busy crowd, there was plenty of space, and the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and simply wonderfully summery. A real highlight was the live music – atmospheric but not too loud, just right for a balmy evening under the stars. While we enjoyed the food and the company, the children were able to let off steam in the adjacent playground – a huge advantage for families! The food arrived quickly, was fresh, and delicious. Particularly noteworthy: the oven-fresh bread – crispy, hearty, and obviously locally sourced. So simple, yet so good! In conclusion: A place where you'll enjoy spending time – whether with family, friends, or just for fun. We'll be back – at the very latest on the next warm evening in Aschaffenburg!

Great food and a lovely beer garden. However, you have to wait in line to checkout, then for drinks, and then for food. If you run out of drinks while eating, you have to go back to the checkout and then to the drinks counter. By then, the food is cold. For me, this concept is a reason not to come back.

We only had a drink in the self-service beer garden. There was plenty of shade. We'd be happy to go again!

The schnitzels on offer are pre-made wholesale products, probably made from pressed meat (not real meat), and tasteless! A small cube of butter on the dry bread would benefit the sausage salad, and it wouldn't make the Bantschow family any poorer! All in all, it's just a visit for a beer – eat somewhere else!

What's going on here! I've waited a long time to change my review, given the current situation at the beer garden in the Fasanerie. Somehow I don't understand it... or maybe my head just doesn't want to comprehend it... About 5-6 weeks ago, we arrived as hungry guests, and then we were told that no food was currently being sold due to the large number of white receipts (excuse me... we wanted plucked sausages with bread and three employees in the food hut) 🙈 Two weeks ago, a similar experience. We arrived at the beer garden at 6:55 p.m. and were hungry. Oh - sound... there's nothing left to eat, the kitchen is closed from 7:00 p.m. 🙈 (a beer garden without food at 7:00 p.m.! - pretzels at least?) And yesterday, the crowning glory... the beer garden was only 20-30% full. We ordered our food... and waited... waited... waited. There are a lot of staff milling around in the beer garden... there's always someone else at the cash register. And now come on... no food is being served, and there are pagers on many tables, which even a guest notices when they call. Solution: The printer in the food hut is out of paper 🙈🙈🙈 And one thing is also clear: this isn't the staff's fault... it's management that's somehow not working. It's one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Aschaffenburg... but somehow nothing seems to be working right now 😢 My old review from two years ago: Beautiful beer garden in the middle of the Fasanerie 🌳☀️ Top ambiance and location 👍 Food is good for a beer garden. Prices are still OK, service is mostly student-like, requiring a lot of patience at times, and the quality of the food is sometimes outstanding, e.g., bread and bratwurst. Cell phone reception is terrible, so you can't work here - but nobody else cares. That's forbidden in beer gardens in Bavaria anyway 🤣

It's great that it's even open. It's not a given. It took 10 minutes to order. Then another 3 minutes for the beer. And then we waited 15 minutes for a bowl of fries. The beer was already gone. The restaurant crisis of 2025

The evening restaurant is highly recommended. The food there is amazing. Very good and affordable. The beer garden is OK. There are about 1,000 seats available. It's self-service.

Family reunion with 30 people - great service, great food (extra praise for the homemade cakes!), lovely ambiance, and even a special corner in the beer garden for the group photo ;-).

We went to the beer garden for drinks on a Monday morning. The ambiance and drink prices were very nice and reasonable. I only have to agree with the previous comments regarding the service: you get rudely scolded if you politely ask where to order. Restrooms aren't clearly signposted, and you're rudely thrown out of the bar if you look for them. Wasted potential in a very nice beer garden.

Once again we experienced rude information at the cash register!!! To receive such an annoyed reply to a question is completely unacceptable. To then call after us and tell us we can go to another beer garden is also beyond words!!! As I said: Not the first time!!! And if I may mention this: The behavior at the next table was also noticeable: the unfriendliness evident in their facial expressions. It goes without saying that you should choose establishments where friendly behavior and a smile are a given. And that was not the case here.

A very nice beer garden in the heart of Aschaffenburg. The beer garden is located in the middle of a small forest, which invites you to take a stroll before stopping in. The self-service is quick and easy. You buy a voucher and then pick up your drink or food directly from the counter. Card payments are accepted. The quality of the food is excellent, but the prices are a bit on the high side. The beer garden is usually very busy when the weather is nice, but you can usually find a spot. Parking is available, and bicycle storage is also offered.

I always enjoy coming here. I don't know of any other beer garden that even offers wet wipes with the napkins. The food is always delicious. A nice place to relax.

Strange organization, poor information about where to get the drink vouchers, and the cash register staff a bit overwhelmed. We then took the receipt to the drinks counter. That worked out great. The food was delicious. Friendly staff at the food counter.

We came especially with colleagues after work. We couldn't get anything for dinner after 7 p.m. (14.5) because the cashier apparently doesn't record the meal vouchers in the beer garden. 🤯 Well, when the very friendly young employee told us this and wanted to ask the boss again what to do, she stormed over in a very brisk manner and reprimanded her employee in front of us 🫣. So we stayed hungry that evening. At the end of the day, the boss told us that we should finish our drinks, but the gas station still had 👍🏻 very, very unpleasant.

Still a very nice beer garden, but with far too few parasols. Also unpleasant is the apparently last-minute adjustment to the beer garden menu: no more New Zealand red cabbage salad with falafel (unlucky as a vegetarian), and instead of Demeter-quality apple juice, only regional produce. The menu still says Demeter, though, and at €4.50 for 0.4 liters of apple spritzer (someone's pretty daring at that price), you should (must) get Demeter quality. I hope that was just an oversight.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The food was cold, and we waited an hour. The chicken didn't taste good. We're used to it. Yes, the beer garden was busy, and the line at the cash register and bar was terribly long. I've seen it differently, despite the crowds.

Ambience and location are great. The park with the playground next to it is great and you can go for a walk here. The food was also good, especially the salad with the dressing. When we were there, there was a bit of a lack of service staff and there were waiting times. But still recommended with the beautiful beer garden. Maybe I can make it to one of the events.

Nice beer garden that is always visited when the weather is right.

We were there on May 1st and I would like to give some basic food for thought: Putting people at the checkout on a day like this who are absolutely not up to the situation creates anger and frustration in the long term. Waiting over 2 hours for a goulash and over an hour for a cooked cheese is also a disaster. Many tables were unoccupied because there were no umbrellas. If you can afford that, you don't have to be surprised if people leave the place in a rage. It's a shame for the actually beautiful beer garden.

Flat Pinot Blanc is advertised on the menu for €22.90. At the checkout you will immediately be asked what price is written on the checkout. This turns out that the host is asking €35.90 for the wine. If you then insist on the price, you can buy any other bottled wine except that!!! For a supposedly professional restaurateur, an absolute “no go”! Not just deductions in the B grade!

First you have to queue for up to 30 minutes for the drink voucher. then again at the drinks counter. You shouldn't bring thirst into the beer garden

Very nice beer garden and nice restaurant. There is also a good selection of vegan dishes here. Of course, this could be a little bigger. You don't have to wait too long for your food either.

Overall we were very happy with the food and the service. However, when we went to pay and wanted to redeem a voucher, we were told that they were very accommodating, but that they could no longer accept this 2-year-old voucher. The reason we were told was a new name. I can understand if they hadn't accepted the full amount, for me that is the definition of accommodating.

Great restaurant with a beer garden.

Stopped in full of joy for cool drinks and solid food... and disappointed. Service staff seems tense and overworked, cash register processing is ok, but there is no indication of a longer waiting time for food. Drinks by self-service were ok at the time, then there was a waiting time that was unacceptable. Simple dishes (schnitzel with fries and New Zealand red cabbage salad with falafel) that took over 40 minutes to wait. Quality well, fries good. Falafel balls completely hard, dish overall not convincing, schnitzel average - where is the quality and standard of good food from last year? It's Saturday (April 12, 2025, 6 p.m.), good weather is forecast, the beer garden is about 50% full and yet it's stalled. The processes are still not up to date (why can't you order via the app at the seat - saves waiting times at 3 stations) and when it comes to eating -> you'd rather go for the classics, but then in good quality and FAST. It's a shame, but apart from a cold drink, there are no more visits allowed as long as the current status quo doesn't change. Men's toilet...no soap, no towels, it smells unpleasant. In addition! When the pagers are taken back in the kitchen, please do not do so with the gloves that are also worn in the kitchen for dishes! Hygiene seems more so-so in the open kitchen (floor).

The schnitzel with hunter's sauce is absolutely delicious. Eating always takes a while, but we didn't think that was a big deal.

The beer garden has lost a lot, staff is overwhelmed and poorly organized. Waited 1.5 hours for the fairly simple meal (two currywurst with fries). Then the sausage was only lukewarm and had definitely been on the grill for too long. The tables weren't cleared away and you were lucky to get a small, clean spot somewhere. We were very annoyed and will no longer visit this beer garden.

A wonderful beer garden straight out of a (Bavarian) picture book. Almdudler-Radler is a combination that we didn't know before, but can definitely recommend. We'd love to come back!

Very nice beer garden that invites you to linger. But you have to take advantage of this because you easily have to wait more than 90 minutes for your food. I found the prices to be on the higher end for a beer garden, especially for the vegetarian dishes. €13.90 for a handful of cheese spaetzle in a small bowl. For €14.90 you get a hearty schnitzel with fries. Unfortunately, the ingredients on the menu are more of an indicator and not what actually ends up on the plate. Instead of home-baked foccacia, two slices of brown bread sometimes find their way onto the plate. Unfortunately, our beetroot salad was not allowed to taste walnuts. Don't get me wrong, the food is tasty, but for the price I expect that at least everything on the menu will find its way onto my plate. The Haxxe is welcome to last a moment longer, but I would like to be warned if we are talking about well beyond an hour here...

Actually a nice beer garden. But this season it's not like before. At the beginning of March, operations were not yet well-established and there were waiting times of over an hour when we visited. Today we are back again. Arrived at 6:05 p.m. At 7:05 p.m. we finally received drinks and food. The food was a disappointment for us. According to the menu, the salad comes with “home-baked focaccia” and there are 2 brown breads on the plate. Dissatisfaction has also spread at neighboring tables because of the waiting times.

Way too long of a wait! Although the beer garden is only half full, we waited an hour for food... The queue at the checkout was also far too long, we waited 20 minutes before we could even place the order.

Start of the season and not all huts are open yet - but the sun has been shining for days. The lady at the checkout is more than unfriendly - she takes out her bad mood on the customers without inhibition. Food is good, location too. But being yelled at several times for no reason at the checkout ruins the visit...

I have to say, the first time I was there was much better and today I have invited my family. Wasn't nice waiting for food over 35 :(

We were there with 11 people and everything worked until the main course. After that, the service presence left something to be desired.

Were there again today, this time eating inside. The food was good again, you just need to work a bit with the waitresses. Minimally polite, not very attentive, especially when it comes to drinks. Anyway, I mentioned it but unfortunately the second drink didn't come. Not even an apology when paying. Very nice place, eat well, self service Nice playground nearby for children.

Actually very nice. It is advertised as having a beautiful beer garden in winter, which is also fitting. Today in the beer garden the most beautiful winter weather but the tables and benches are wet, it wouldn't be a big effort to run through with a cloth or squeegee. There are four fire barrels that were all out and freezing cold so it wasn't really nice or comfortable. After After 3 COLD drinks we went in and warmed up and consumed something inside and asked if anyone would come and look at the fire could and we were told that all the barrels would burn again. We went out again afterwards and all the bins were still out and cold. We decided not to have another drink and then left.

Im Restaurant im Vergleich zu unseren schönen Biergarten-Besuchen ein glatter Reinfall. Flammkuchen war nicht durchgebacken, Knödelvariation war in brauner Masse wenig ansprechend und lieblos auf dem Teller, Friteusenschnitzel trocken und geschmacklos, der dazu gereichte Kartoffelsalat ebenso unerfreulich, bestehend aus halbrohen Kartoffeln, Marinade nicht zu schmecken, dafür eiskalt serviert, m.E. kaum zum Verzehr geeignet. Bewertung: weit unter Mittelklasse!

Went to the pheasantry for the first time today and were totally impressed. The service was friendly and on the ball, the food was delicious, the daily special was good value for money, the espresso was great... we'll be back. Nice large beer garden where we sat inside. Rustically furnished, but it fits 😉

Very nice beer garden, very nice restaurant with great food

Service war sehr gut und sehr freundlich. Das Lokal ist herrlich gelegen, innen gediegen rustikal; ein bisschen nette Deko in der Stube wäre gut, es sah etwas öde aus. Der Salat war mir viel zu süß, der Begleitung hat er geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war absolut köstlich, dünn, krosse Panade, das beste Schnitzel seit langem. Der Kartoffelsalat war ok, nur zu viel. Kaiserschmarren soll laut Karte 25-30 Minuten dauern, kam aber bereits nach wenigen Minuten. Ich fand ihn trocken, zu süß und künstlich im Geschmack. Fertigmischung? Früher war der Kaiserschmarren frisch, saftig. top, jetzt nicht.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen bei einem Familienfest eingeladen. Nach Jahren wieder einmal dort. Inzwischen hat der Besitzer gewechselt. Das Ambiente ist sehr rustikal geworden, auf bayrisch getrimmt. Geschmackssache natürlich. Hauptsache ist der sehr große Biergarten, der weitgehend ohne Personal auskommt. Wir waren aber im Gastraum und sollten bedient werden. Der Service war nicht zufriedenstellend, denn zuvörderst fehlte es an Besteck, das dann auf mehrmalige Aufforderung ergänzt wurde. Bestellungen wurden z.B. ohne Sauce gebracht, auch erst nach Reklamation ersetzt. Der Kartoffelsalat zum Wiener Schnitzel bestand aus Kartoffeln in sekundärer Verwendung, evtl. Bratkartoffeln, in einem Essigdressing. Wir waren eingeladen, wollten daher keinen Aufstand machen. Sonst hätten wir das Essen zurückgehen lassen. Insgesamt war unser Eindruck von dieser Location kein günstiger. Vielleicht mag es im Biergarten besser sein. Gehobene Gastronomie ist dort nicht.

Wir haben uns im Restaurant sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Zu den Suppen gab es reichlich leckeres frisches Brot, was sonst selten ist. Uns war es sogar zu viel und wir mussten leider einiges liegen lassen. Der Personal war sehr nett. Der Hauptgang kam ein wenig schnell. Wir hätten gerne nach der Vorspeise etwas gewartet. Das könnte man vielleicht vorher noch den Gast fragen. Sehr schön fanden wir die vielen alkoholfreien Getränke, so dass auch die Autofahrer ein schönes Glas Wein oder einen Aperitif genießen konnten. Der Biergarten neben an war auch sehr schön und gut besucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We were there for lunch today. I had Wiener Schnitzel with homemade potato salad, a dish that I was really looking forward to because I haven't eaten it for a long time. It wasn't a total failure, but it was definitely a failure. The schnitzel is tender, crispy, as it should be. The potato salad is not made from fresh potatoes, but rather mixed together from cooled and hard "leftover potatoes". Ultimately not edible for me. Do the chefs think you can't tell?

Classic beer garden with beautiful trees and a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good. Everything is self-service and you get your things pretty quickly.

Chicken with fries and a side salad. The salad was very tasty and the fries were also very good. Unfortunately the chicken didn't convince me. It was very over-seasoned for my taste. I don't necessarily need it again. 3 stars only because of salad and fries, otherwise it would only have been one.

Wollten gerade ein Eis essen (Eiswagen steht im Biergarten). Uhrzeit: 11:23 -> ich frag ob wir Eis kaufen können…. Kommt gleich sehr forsch und unhöflich zurück „wir öffnen erst um 11:30 Uhr“…. Ich hab ein kleines Kind dabei, das Eis essen wollte und dann einfängt zu weinen… nicht flexibel die Location… Sind gern hingegangen, werden das jetzt sein lassen. Sowas unfreundliches geht nicht… Schade

We just wanted to eat ice cream (ice cream truck is in the beer garden). Time: 11:23 -> I ask if we can buy ice cream…. Comes back very briskly and rudely “we don’t open until 11:30 a.m.”…. I have a small child with me who wanted to eat ice cream and then starts crying… the location is not flexible… We liked going there, so we'll let it go now. Something so unfriendly doesn't work... What a shame

The food is excellent here. Chicken marinated in butter: simply delicious. Only the bun should not be placed in the melted butter. Potato salad is really good. The range of drinks is also very interesting: e.g. Almdudler Sprizz is something different. It's a shame that the spareribs were only offered at the checkout (without specifying the price). Our family's order was already set according to the menu...

The Tyrolean Röstel was outrageously delicious, the Fasanerie hosts are all exceptionally friendly and the terrace creates a feel-good atmosphere. We were not prepared for this experience when we wanted to “quickly eat something” on the way.

Been here again for a long time. Conditions are on point and the Jägerschnitzel is very tasty. Leberkäse with fried potatoes is also recommended.

Self-service is very friendly in the beer garden, but it is decorated with a lot of love. I'm happy to be there with Helene. Unfortunately today the gravel was wet and I was wearing flip flops, not a good mix, thanks to Helene my feet were very dirty 🙈

Absolutely over-seasoned fries, the knuckle wasn't fried well (meat rather tough, skin not crispy, quite greasy), bratwurst tasted okay - my daughter left it behind and ate everything else. The schnitzel was also dry. Unhealthy food that is unfortunately in no way worth the sin. The drinks are cold - so that's fine. Service - well. The question about an ashtray was answered with “there is one somewhere at the counter”. Ok for drinking beer. Otherwise not so much.

2024: Ambient and everything is still great, only during today's visit the staff was hopelessly overwhelmed, especially when it came to eating. Just got the second to last pager when ordering and then waited over an hour for a sausage salad. Everything tasted great and was fine 2019: Nice ambience with self-service, good food and good beer. The playground and toilets need to be reworked but are still fine.
