Home-style restaurant. It's always worth a visit, the food and service are excellent. The cleanliness is also exemplary, many people can still learn something, civilized guests are a prerequisite.
Check-in was super easy, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was OK, the food we ate was good and tasty, just maybe not the freshest vegetables/fruit... but after I reported it to the staff, they immediately removed it and replaced it with fresh ones. The sauna area was clean and not too crowded, so you could relax well. My only complaint is the mattresses. I stayed for three nights and it was really uncomfortable...
Overall, it was a good stay, and if you don't spend much time in the hotel anyway, it's a good choice. If you value a very good, hearty breakfast, I would recommend eating elsewhere. Just like for those who really enjoy a great sauna area, it's not really worth it.
Very tasty brunch, but chaotic organization. Despite a reservation and a note that we had a stroller with us, they couldn't assign us a table. We were initially sent to a table that is not stroller friendly at all. Then it turned out that other guests were directed to the same table. The tables are overbooked and you have to expect a longer wait to get to your table. Therefore, it's best to come to the first slot, as you'll probably have better luck.
Good food, but with so much misorganization/overbooking it's no use. Too bad!
Beware of hidden surcharges! (Scam)
The food was okay, but when we paid, a 10% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without any warning – and this wasn't mentioned anywhere, not even when my colleagues unknowingly added an additional tip. We only received a full receipt upon request.
Only after prolonged follow-up and discussion was the extra tip finally refunded. The attempt to "make up for it" with a bottle of spirits before even acknowledging the problem was completely inappropriate. When the suggestion that the price was too high is met with a "let's make a deal," it doesn't seem like a one-time oversight. At least the waiter eventually admitted that he "messed up" – and after further questioning, acknowledged that the whole thing wasn't accidental.
Enclosed is the receipt we subsequently received with the "automatic 10%," as well as the payment receipt I received when paying.
We finally made it to Café Le Théâtre. The establishment is a true hidden champion, especially since we hadn't even seen the entrance.
Convinced by the online pictures, we set out to try some of the dishes ourselves. Unfortunately the salmon wasn't available with potatoes, which is why we opted for bruscetta, small salad, steam, club sandwich, apple fritters and Kaiserschmarrn.
Everything tasted great, with the dessert being particularly noteworthy in terms of presentation and taste.
Due to the location and good taste, the final price of €75 + €5 tip (with 2 cyclists) is absolutely fine.
The only thing that was actually hoped for with a dish was the side salad. The service was friendly, but seemed a little busy due to the high volume of guests.
We'll definitely be back soon to try breakfast, schnitzel, meat platter, cheese spaetzle and hopefully the salmon with potatoes (instead of rice?) and can recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there yet - but it's advisable to reserve in advance on a weekend, despite there being a lot of space (we were lucky and got a table straight away without making a reservation), so we'll be back!
Good, healthy, and fast food. There are just as many meat dishes as there are vegan and vegetarian options. Small changes to the dishes can easily be made at the counter. You can also create your own meal, which is good for allergy sufferers. Ordering online or at the kiosks limits the number of changes to dishes; it's better to order at the counter or directly mix-your-own.
I often eat out. Depending on how busy the restaurant is, the wait time is between 5-15 minutes. I've rarely experienced longer.
Meals usually cost between 12-16 euros, excluding extras. You'll have to pay a little more, but it's a good option for people with limited time who still want healthy food.
Very tasty kebab 👍
It was really nice and the pide with doner meat was also very good.
I only have one small point of improvement. It would be great if the outside area could be made a little greener so that it is a little more comfortable. Otherwise it seems very cold and “right on the street”.
Quite a strange place with a weird vibe. The food was OK, but they somehow didn’t had beer?! In Germany?!
Not to mention that the waitress wasn’t the most friendly person.
Definitely first and last time there.
