Arcotel Camino in Stuttgart

Check-in was super easy, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was OK, the food we ate was good and tasty, just maybe not the freshest vegetables/fruit... but after I reported it to the staff, they immediately removed it and replaced it with fresh ones. The sauna area was clean and not too crowded, so you could relax well. My only complaint is the mattresses. I stayed for three nights and it was really uncomfortable... Overall, it was a good stay, and if you don't spend much time in the hotel anyway, it's a good choice. If you value a very good, hearty breakfast, I would recommend eating elsewhere. Just like for those who really enjoy a great sauna area, it's not really worth it.

Is there an increase from PERFECT? ... I lived at Camino for 2 nights until yesterday. If I had to give 10 stars it wouldn't be enough. The staff at reception, housekeeping, bar and restaurant are extremely accommodating, just like I'm used to in many luxury 5-6 star hotels - only better. Because you can feel the drill in the other houses. In the Camino, on the other hand, everyone is there with fun and passion and reads your wishes before you even think about them. I had a huge barrier-free room with a huge bathroom. Everything was very tastefully decorated. The food is fantastic, because everything in the kitchen is prepared with love for the guest. That and also the excellent breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired, everything is of the best organic quality and it is also a paradise for vegans. So, let’s go! I too will come back soon. 👍✨

Unfortunately, we forgot something and were absolutely not prepared to accommodate us - it's a shame The communication via online chat was also catastrophic... Due to the lack of German, we almost didn't understand what was wanted from us... We finally sent a QR code as requested so that they could have sent us the forgotten item. We have now been waiting for 14 days, and unfortunately we have not received any response when we have asked where the item is. We'll never go there again... Hands down. One of the best & most beautiful hotels I've ever been to!

My wife and I stayed here for the sixth time for 2-3 nights each. The rooms, the location... everything is great. The only star deduction: the work organization at the bar is a disaster! Not because of the employees - they give everything - but because the division and arrangement of ingredients, responsibilities, etc. are complete. is chaotic. The hotel management definitely needs to make improvements here - and ideally spend an evening yourself...!

The hotel is very well located for train travelers, the hotel facilities are very good. Including the sauna/steam room. Despite checking in at 3 p.m., my room wasn't ready when I arrived. At first it said in 30 minutes, which then turned out to be only 10 minutes. Despite booking via Booking, the hotel required security (credit card), the request that I pay straight away when the credit card was needed was commented on with some surprise. For a 4 star hotel, the check in was a bit rough (the tone). Otherwise the staff was very friendly, the room was okay (unfortunately the single bed we requested was not available). Bed itself is more of a “too soft” category. The breakfast buffet was rather disappointing for the category.

Great location, great subway connection. We were there after the CMT trade fair and for a long weekend to explore Stuttgart and for the musical Tarzan. Great breakfast, something for everyone, staff very accommodating and friendly. Parking costs €23 per night, so unfortunately one star is deducted.

Nice, big room. Good mattresses. Nice atmosphere. The wellness area is very inviting and relaxing. Fitness room is well equipped and spacious. However, the central location near the main train station makes it very noisy outside.

What can I say? This hotel has a four star rating. I wouldn’t give it more than two. The staff have been bordering on rude We had no shower gel and they expected us to fill it ourselves , when I told them it was empty they said get it from reception. A 4 star hotel and I’m supposed to fill my shower soap?? I don’t think so. So we went without as they didn’t do it. The breakfast had no oat or almond milk options yet they promote vegan in their breakfast When we arrived four staff members watched us struggle with our bags into the lift without any offer of help we had to get our own baggage trolley and load our baggage into the lift. The lady that checked us in didn’t even tell us our room number just said it’s down the hall with a sour face then we were charged an extra $50 as a so-called deposit that we weren’t told about. The steam room isn’t open till 4pm and when we went to use it at 4.25 pm it was not turned on. We had to wait till 5 pm for the sauna to heat up. No apologies offered. After the room was supposedly clean, we still had dirty glasses, dirty coffee cups, and a dirty pillowcase The breakfast is okay if you like cheese and meat not much other options There was some nice fresh fruit Other reviews say great location. It is to the train station but it’s a bit of a walk to cafes and restaurants etc. Unfortunately, no Smart TV no Foxtel etc only German-speaking TV stations if you don’t speak German basically no TV. Just the attitude of the staff all round left a bad memory for us, especially the women at check-in.

First of all, I really don't write reviews often - this is a matter close to my heart. We spent 3 nights in the Camino last week - in the meantime we moved to another room by extending the stay. We stayed in an apartment for 2 nights, which really left nothing to be desired. We then moved into two double rooms with a connecting door - here too we felt completely comfortable. It was my husband's birthday on one of the days. We have never felt so comfortable - the entire team (whether at the reception, at breakfast or even room service) is without exception friendly, accommodating and incredibly nice. My husband's birthday was a real highlight, not only that every employee who saw him congratulated him personally (and that in a fairly large house). There was cake, champagne, a handwritten birthday card - we were really at a loss for words. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the whole team once again for these great days on the Camino. If we were to be in the area again, the Camino would always be our first choice. The hotel is well located, both the main train station with S-Bahn and the subway can be reached quickly. Rooms and beds are okay, just not the newest. It's relatively quiet towards the back, even with the window open. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is good. There is a narrow underground car park and a parking space above. The latter can also quickly become overcrowded. There are 4 wallboxes for electric cars in the hotel parking lot. Charging is free as long as the spaces are not occupied by combustion engines. The card to activate it is available at reception.

Quiet hotel with a very good price-performance ratio. Breakfast OK, but the bread was inedible. It had probably been baked several times and was extremely dry.

The rooms are spacious but a bit old. Because the windows are not soundproofed, there is quite a lot of traffic from the adjacent main street. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the pedestrian zone. As far as service is concerned, it was completely satisfactory during the day, whereas in the evening/night the staff sometimes didn't understand what you wanted from you. The situation with the underground car park when there are events in the hotel and you want to park as a hotel guest in the evening is also a bit problematic. So you can only drive into the underground car park if no car wants to come out. So you're happy to stand in front of the entrance for 15 minutes to even have the chance to drive into it.

The hotel is good. Unfortunately the parking spaces are limited, which is due to structural reasons. Drinking water should be provided in the wellness area (sauna/fitness).

We were there for the dinner musical. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of organization and service. The choice of food is sparse as is the amount on the plate. The service is subpar for hotel standards!! The music/singing was a great experience, but couldn't make up for the disappointment There is definitely no recommendation from me

Unfortunately the hotel did not meet my expectations. The mattresses were sagging and the staff was not accommodating. The bar closes at 11:30 p.m. - at 11 p.m. the bartender didn't want to make any more cocktails. When booking, I was offered bathrobes as a free option - but there were none in the room. Lots of little points that leave the impression that the hotel has seen its best days behind it.

The underground parking is very convenient, with ice and snow in this period having the car in perfect condition is essential. Excellent cleanliness of the rooms, large and bright rooms, international and very assorted breakfast. Professional, friendly and extremely quick check-in staff.

A very nice hotel near two major train and subway stations. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is quite upscale for the price. The only bad feedback I have is for one receptionist; a woman with short hair that is extremely friendly to Germans and very very unfriendly to international tourists. I was definitely shocked at how different her behavior was between the two groups. She wouldn’t even smile at you if you didn’t speak German and she would give you rude and short answers to any questions. Once a German guest approached her she was back to smiling and courtesy again. If you don’t like dealing with tourists, maybe it’s not best to work at a hotel that’s close to the Hauptbahnof in a major city.

Room: had booked for 2 adults and 2 children in the room there was a fold-out sofa no problem with 1 blanket and pillow asked for another blanket twice answered no more in the hotel only one cover was brought to us it was cold at night Bathroom: first had to clean the floor from the previous hair and dirt with a towel. There was a glass for brushing teeth for 4 people. We had 1 room on the 1st floor facing the street and it was very noisy. Since we have been to the Camino several times, we noticed that the breakfast buffet was reduced. Coffee only has to wait in line at the coffee machine, no more stress-free coffee pots. But the staff in the bar and breakfast room are very accommodating, thank you very much

Wonderful hotel in Stuttgart near the train station. Shopping centres and restaurants very close but we did not need to leave the hotel as they had everything we could have wished for. Loved the breakfast and free German beers in the hotel room. Saunas were fantastic too. Highly recommend.

The Arcotel is located 500 m from the center of Stuttgart, opposite one of the world's most beautiful libraries 📚 and the main train station... Great location! The rooms including the bathroom 🛁 are very spacious and offer everything you need... the beds are very comfortable.. the whole hotel is very clean 🧽... the team is very friendly and helpful.. the breakfast selection is very rich it has everything your heart desires and the coffee tastes fantastic (also not a given) this is certainly not the last visit to the Arcotel!

**Lovely Stay at ARCOTEL Camino Stuttgart** We stayed at ARCOTEL Camino Stuttgart last week, and it’s a gorgeous, quiet hotel. The location is very convenient—not too far of a walk from the train station and just a reasonable stroll to the Christmas markets. While we could have chosen a closer hotel, this one was much nicer, and we were happy with our choice. The only issue was that our room was never cleaned, despite leaving the door hanger requesting service. We did sleep in, but this still should have been addressed. Regardless of the poor service, I would still recommend this hotel for its beauty, comfort, and location.

I stayed at this hotel (and other hotels in the chain) several times years ago and had very positive memories. That's why I booked the hotel for one night on a booking portal in Stuttgart. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip due to illness. ARCOTEL assured me over the phone that they would graciously agree to a cancellation or rebooking. When I asked about this via the booking platform, I received the answer that the hotel had rejected it. I am aware that both would have been done as a gesture of goodwill - but then I expect at least consistency in the statements from a hotel of this class. Unfortunately, the chain is no longer an option for me. Too bad.

Hotel has a great location. 3min to Milaneo and 5min to the main train station. Rooms nice and tidy and clean. Facilities are also OK. Unfortunately, some channels on television didn't work. (also cable) Price of breakfast a bit too expensive for my taste but the selection was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Come back next year.

Fantastic hotel! Located next to the train station, there is a subway station within a three-minute walk nearby, which is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. A kettle is provided, unfortunately, there is no complimentary water.

We went to the musical dinner show on Saturday. First the positive: the singers were really good! Unfortunately there is nothing else positive to say. The room was packed with tables, everything was way too narrow. The food was a complete disaster. An almost cold soup with flädle, a breaded, fried Maultaschen with spaetzle.... of course only lukewarm, and a strange dessert. Sorry, our company cafeteria really does have better food. Completely overwhelmed staff or too few staff. In general, the whole room was designed completely carelessly and not musical-like at all. I felt sorry for the singers. The hotel itself is great. Nice rooms, good breakfast buffet and friendly staff. However, you should stay away from events of this type, otherwise you will scare away your guests. I didn't hear anything positive from a single guest at the musical dinner (other than about the performers).

We were at the musical dinner. We've never eaten so badly for so much money. I don't know how you can call Flädlesuppe, Maultaschen with cheese spaetzle and Ofenschlupfer dinner either. The soup had a sting and was sour, the Maultaschen was breaded and looked like a flatfish, with doughy cheese spaetzle. The only thing that was edible was the oven slip. Anyone who wanted a cocktail was not served and had to get it themselves at the bar outside. Completely unprofessional service staff who were only interested in getting away from the guest as quickly as possible, someone could complain. The artists were actually pretty good, but unfortunately that was completely lost. A dinner depends on the quality of the food and that was just bad.

Very bad organization. Were there for the musical dinner. Were brought to our table. Then we had to change tables. Because there was an error. Then they brought chairs and all the people were moved. The food was very bad. The service is mercilessly overwhelmed. Someone kept accidentally turning on the bright lights because they weren't looking. Everything wasn't worth the money (but singers were good) Food was only lukewarm when it was served. All gears! Waiters overwhelmed and simply didn't come. A lot of people got tired of it and got up and bought their own drink at the bar. Vegetarians only got their food when the others at the table had finished. (Despite pre-order) After repeated requests. Food is not just cold but strangely seasoned. Even soup was bitter and terrible. Maultaschen were breaded. Totally unnecessary. Just tasted like fat. Kässpätzle were cold and bland. With bad unnecessary sauce. Parking fees are a pure rip-off: 18 euros!! And that in such a very narrow parking garage. Drinks also overpriced. Sure, they're big city prices! But: then I also expect good service. The waitresses at the bar on floor 1 were also overwhelmed and slow. No parking meter anywhere. The food and this evening were not worth the money, even though the three singers were great!!! Apparently it often happens in this hotel at crime dinners and musical dinners that the team is overwhelmed and the food is very bad. See older reviews. The main thing is to make money with events like this! Am disappointed.

This hotel, within walking distance of the train station, offers well-equipped meeting rooms with plenty of space and professional catering. The meals for our conference group were very rich and delicious. The dinner at the hotel was also impressive. The room on the 4th floor was clean and big enough, the bathrooms weren't quite the latest standard but still ok. The breakfast buffet was very rich and with lots of fresh and tasty offerings. Very convincing. It's worth bringing your time.

A nice hotel, nice staff in the hotel and in the restaurant!

We were visiting this hotel. Parking is 23 euros per night, but parking spaces no longer have capacity. We were looking forward to the wellness area after a long day and were very disappointed. Defective light therapy sauna, defective experience showers, rest area with 3 loungers standing next to a construction site. Similar to an old swimming pool, only without a pool. Breakfast was ok so far, nice selection, if the rolls hadn't already been 3 days old, some of them, yes, definitely, because they only become so dry and hard after several days. The staff was very nice, the rooms had old carpeting, more like 2nd class furnishings, so no nice leather armchair would bring more points. Bathroom very careless. We don't understand the 4.5 *, where do they come from? If perhaps for the restaurant kitchen? The foyer and entrance area can be expected to be better. When closed You can sleep in the window, otherwise it's far too loud from the street.

Fatal flaw. Great rooms and location but terrible sleep. The beds are the awful, hard German twins pushed together. Comforters are tiny and terrible. Room will not stay cool. Even after leaving the windows open the room heats itself back up. You can’t sleep with the windows open because it is on a very busy road. Doesn’t matter how nice a hotel is, it sucks when you can’t sleep. I asked the hotel desk for a fan and they didn’t understand why I would ask for one. There was a fan for sale at the mall for $115. I do not understand why European hotels don’t give you full control of the thermostat. This is not a problem in North America.

Wir waren für eine Nacht in Zimmer 388, das ein wirklich altes Bad hat. Es gab keinen Toilettenpapierhalter, kein Handtuchhalter und furchtbares Licht darin. Das Zimmer ist sehr groß, aber lieblos eingerichtet, kein Bild an der Wand und der Schrank mit leerer Minibar als "Blickfang" schäbig und vermackt. Bett war okay aber kein Doppelbett, sondern mit großer Lücke (zwei Betten zusammengestellt). Frühstück war gut, Personal freundlich. Insgesamt überteuert, sehr schade um unser Geld (ich schließe mich der Rezension aus der Schweiz vom Dezember 2023 an). Auch das Parken mit 23€/Tag ist sehr teuer . Ich habe noch nicht beschwert, weil ich uns nicht die Stimmung verderben wollte. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Gutes Restaurant und Bar, Barkeeper zaubert leckere Cocktails. Zimmer gemütlich, ruhig und sauber. Kleiner aber feiner Wellness- und Sportbereich im UG. Ein paar Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt zu Fuss. Ich komme gerne wieder. Herzliche Grüße

Ich bin mit meiner Freundin hier und wir sind sehr traurig, schon wieder abreisen zu müssen. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden, sowohl die Ausstattung des Hauses einschließlich der Zimmer, als auch der gesamte Service, sowie das

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und auch Kinder sind willkommen. Das Essen ist unglaublich vielfältig und ausgezeichnet. Alle Getränke wie Wasser, Säfte, Tees und sogar Weine sind inclusive. Das Personal ist unglaublich aufmerksam und freundlich - an dieser Stelle möchte ich den Gästen doch ans Herz legen auch ein Trinkgeld zu geben. Das hat so gut wie keiner getan und mich sehr beschämt.

Ein Tipp dort zum Brunchen zu gehen. Reichliche Auswahl, sorgfälltig zubereitete Speisen und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service.

Schön eingerichtet. Man sitzt in den Ohrensesseln sehr bequem. Überschaubare Karte, aber ausreichende Auswahl. Speisen sind ok. Durchschnitt. Wer im Hotel anreist kann hier auf jeden Fall gut „ankommen“ und eine Kleinigkeit essen.

Comimos la sopa de pimentón y el pollo el lunes por la noche. La comida era normal, no muy sabrosa, pero no hay nada de que quejarse. Porciones más pequeñas de lo normal en Stuttgart. Servicio bueno y amable. Precios demasiado altos para el valor total.
