Great restaurant, especially the lower seating areas. The service was very polite and the atmosphere was relaxed. Regarding the food: We ordered several dishes and found them all absolutely delicious; you could tell they were freshly prepared. We were there with our child and felt very comfortable the entire time. We would gladly return for another meal and a longer stay.

Yesterday, we celebrated my birthday at Yol with eight friends. After a break of many years, as we no longer live in the West, we were delighted by the still very good food, the extensive selection, and the outstanding service. The mixed appetizer platter deserves special mention, but everyone also enjoyed the main courses and dessert. As a farewell gift, I received a bottle of red wine for my birthday. A very pleasant evening and a full 5-star recommendation.

Well, the breakfast wasn't that good. We were quite disappointed, as we often enjoy Turkish breakfast, and this time it was unseasoned, cold, and very greasy. The location is nice and central, but I can't recommend the breakfast.

I had reserved a larger table long in advance: the reservation had already been forgotten. Luckily, there was still a table available. I ordered a small apple spritzer, but got a large one. My friend had the same experience 🤨. My two chicken skewers were okay, but the vegetables that came with them were beyond reproach! Two small broccoli florets, a slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, half a nearly raw potato—that was it! Just boiled in water without any butter or salt. Horrible! Not a single gram of sauce. And unseasoned, dry rice on the side. The waiters didn't speak a single word to us the entire evening. When paying, I was rudely informed that cash was required. No one even said goodbye to us. The owner was loudly listening to some videos on her phone with other guests.

Sunday brunch is an open buffet and it costs 22 Euros,it is worth 16 euros . Eggplant and squash fried too much. Although,Gözleme was freshly made and tasted great. Offering baklava is weird as original Turkish brunch doesn’t include it in Turkey. It looked very sugary.

We celebrated our civil ceremony with around 60 guests as a private event at Taverna Yol – and it was simply perfect! The four-course menu, which we had arranged in advance, was a culinary highlight. All of our guests loved the food: The meat was incredibly tender, and the rice – with cinnamon and pine nuts – had a special, aromatic flavor that we will remember forever. The atmosphere was also beautiful. We were allowed to play our own music and felt completely at home. A special thank you to the owner, Zehra, who fulfilled our every wish with so much heart, patience, and flexibility. The tables, lovingly decorated with fresh roses, gave the whole thing a particularly festive atmosphere. Thank you for this unforgettable evening – we will definitely be back!

I'm writing this review as a companion to my friend, with whom I ate at this restaurant – and who witnessed what happened afterward. After his factual, but entirely justified, Google review, he received a call from the waiter on his private cell phone around midnight and verbally abused him. Shortly thereafter, the alleged owner also called and made further insults and disrespectful comments. But that wasn't enough – our number was called several times, sometimes repeatedly, even though we had made it clear that we would take legal action and report the incident to our lawyer. In response, a woman who introduced herself as Zehra Hanım, the manager, later contacted us. Her response, however, was anything but professional or sincere: a terse "yes, okay, I'm sorry" – obviously just to put an end to the matter, not to take any real responsibility. After this half-hearted attempt to sweep the whole thing under the rug, we decided not to file a complaint. But this way of dealing with criticism, this level of disrespect, and this lack of self-reflection alone is enough of a statement. This restaurant should be avoided – not only because of the poor food, but also because of the way customers are treated. For anyone who values ​​respect, quality, and professionalism: stay away.

The service was generally slow, uncoordinated, and completely unattentive. The low point was the dessert: a kunefe that was raw inside and sloppy on the outside – not even a knife was served. That something like that should even be allowed to leave the kitchen is more than questionable. For all of this, the two of us paid €110 – a price that bears no relation to the quality offered. This restaurant lacks both culinary standards and hospitality. Anyone who values ​​good food and respectful service should steer clear of this one.

We were guided by the social media posts and wanted to experience breakfast at Taverna Yol ourselves - unfortunately it was rather disappointing. The location was very crowded, which generally speaks for its popularity, but there was just too much crowd and chaos. What was particularly unpleasant was that there was almost no food left about half an hour before the end of the breakfast offer - and nothing was refilled. Unfortunately, it wasn't justified for the price and the expectations raised by the videos. That's why we only give it 2 out of 5 stars. Not necessarily recommended.

For the main course we had different dishes, such as grilled plates and sea bream. For dessert there was a very tasty baklava with fruit. Everything was very tasty.

We had great expectations for this restaurant and reserved a table for six people a week in advance for the second round of brunch from 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but satisfactory. When we arrived on time, we had to wait outside for over fifteen minutes and watch as other guests who arrived after us were seated ahead of us - despite our reservation. There was total chaos, no clear organization and no apology from the staff. It was completely crowded and loud inside. There was no trace of a relaxed brunch atmosphere where you could chat in peace. It was only when we thanked them and said that we no longer wanted the table that we were suddenly taken seriously - but by then we had long since lost our desire for brunch. Very disappointing!

We made reservations for 11:30. 40 minutes later, after queuing for a long time in the cold (there was a line of people in front of us who were like us), we got into the restaurant. Unfortunately, most of the items had already been eaten. When we asked what that was supposed to mean, we just said we can't throw out the people who are already sitting. But you can't accept a reservation for 20 people if you can't make sure there's enough space and enough buffet food. It's a shame you can ruin your good name that way.

The selection is very poor! Little warm food. For dessert there were only 3 pieces of baklava and marble cake. And that cost me €28 with a glass of 0.2 liter orange juice! When paying at the checkout, everyone in front of me was assumed to have drinks open. I found that to be inappropriate. I was here for a Sunday brunch. It was full of white people, so that's not a good sign. The weather was nice so I sat outside - a nice breeze went through, and it was quite relaxing, even though the Stadtbahn goes right in front of the building. All the plates provided have chips. I tried to find one in the stack without a chip, but gave up after 10. The food was overall very mediocre. The menemen was watery, the sucuk stone cold, the potatoes and fritters dripping with grease and not crispy at all. Some of the dishes seemed like pranks on almans - canned button mushrooms in commercial grade mayonnaise? Sure. The station providing fresh flatbreads was nice, but the filled flatbreads were underfilled and not flavorful. The other bread provided was quite old. The rice pudding tasted strongly of condensed milk. Since the buffet provided yogurt, but no bowls (!), I tried to keep the pudding bowl, but a waiter took it away despite my best efforts, mumbling something under his breath. Not a great look. The desserts were commercial grade, bought in, cheap crud. Nothing you don't also get at a cheap Chinese buffet. Even the baklava tasted neither of nuts nor any other floral flavors. It was like it was soaked in simple syrup instead of orange syrup. Overall, this was an enormous letdown. Fine - but certainly not worth the money.
