My husband and I were traveling Europe for a month when we stumbled upon this hotel on our way from Switzerland to Germany. I was immediately captivated by the hotel's aroma, and the staff were friendly and helpful, even guiding us to our rooms. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was perfect. We were very satisfied with the room amenities, bedding, tea, and body products. We definitely want to visit again. It was only a day for us, a travel-loving couple, but thank you for creating such wonderful memories. This hotel truly seems to care about its customers. We'll work hard to see you again.

My family has been staying at the Waldhotel regularly for years when they visit me – it's definitely their absolute favorite hotel, and not just in Stuttgart. We recently held a family celebration there, and it was simply wonderful. The service is outstanding: attentive, warm, and always ready to help. You feel completely pampered and in excellent hands. The food is, of course, first-class. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Waldhotel. It's a place where you feel welcome and at ease.

The wheelchair-accessible room, especially the bathroom, is only partially wheelchair-accessible; it's far too small for a wheelchair user. Otherwise, the hotel is a 1*.

Very quiet in the evenings, and in the summer, despite the intense heat during the day (June 28th and 29th, 2025), very pleasant evening and night temperatures. Our room, booked with a package deal, wasn't ready at the specified time. We wouldn't have been able to check in until after 3:30 p.m. However, since we urgently needed to freshen up a bit to attend an appointment, we were promptly booked into another room. However, according to reception, this wasn't so easy due to the package deal. Thanks again for making this work so smoothly and quickly. On June 29th, we returned to the hotel after midnight and wanted to have a nightcap in the bar. The bartender told us that the bar was already closed, and the cash register had already been closed. Four or six more people, also Ed Sheeran concertgoers, arrived. The bar was quickly reopened. A big thank you for this too; it's customer focus in action. The breakfast buffet is very generous; there's something for everyone. Veggie and vegan options, freshly baked eggs made to order, a full range of coffees, fresh juices, and vegetable fruit shots round out the offerings. The pretzels, however, didn't live up to hotel standards. The rolls and bread are very good and there's an attractive selection. The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are very spacious. A subway station (Waldau) is just over a five-minute walk away. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Absolutely. Great restaurant, excellent cuisine, the staff knows what's on the menu and provides excellent advice. When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy your meal on the wonderful terrace. Simply beautiful! The prices are reasonable. There's plenty of parking. Highly recommended!

We only stayed overnight there, without eating. It's in a super quiet location. You can't hear anything from the neighboring rooms either. The view of the greenery is beautiful. There's a great garden with a seesaw for children. The staff is very friendly, and the drinks at the bar are excellent!

The Stuttgart Waldhotel is highly recommended; it's conveniently located near the Stuttgart TV Tower in Stuttgart-Degerloch, right next to the forest, offering the perfect conditions for relaxation, enjoyment, peace, focused work, and delicious food. I've known the Waldhotel for many years, and it has never disappointed me. A hotel just like a person would want: to feel at home!

A very good 4.5-star hotel surrounded by nature, yet still in Stuttgart. I was very impressed with the Waldhotel. I don't know of any city hotel where you can sleep with the balcony door open at night and hear...nothing! For me, it's a fantastic location in the heart of Stuttgart. The room was very nice and modern, and nothing was missing. The hotel's walking distances are short, the breakfast was very good, and the terrace inside the U-shaped building was a lovely place to eat breakfast. Those arriving by car can leave their car in the parking lot in front of the hotel free of charge or use the underground garage for an additional €15 per day. There are certainly enough parking spaces there, and there are also charging stations for electric vehicles. By taxi or car, you can reach the city center from the hotel in about 15 minutes and get back to the Autobahn (A8) just as quickly. If I have to stay in Stuttgart again, I'll definitely stay at the Waldhotel.

The food is exceptionally delicious. The best Wiener Schnitzel ever...always worth a visit. The service is super attentive and friendly.

What a gem of a place. Yes, the rooms are small, but so well laid out and well equipped, it is the perfect landing space for anyone. Cleanliness, nice touches and professional staff are evident at every turn. The grounds are so peaceful. My Fitbit scored me an 86 on my sleep score and a 100 (!) on my daily readiness, unheard of! Well done.

We booked the hotel for 1 night because of a sporting event. We were greeted very warmly and friendly. The room was amazing. Very comfortably furnished, very clean and quiet. The breakfast was very varied and had something for everyone. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wir waren spontan zum Abendessen eingekehrt. Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service sehr freundlich wie auch aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Die Atmosphäre ist einladend, gehoben aber auch gemütlich - man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Were in the hotel for the second time with 2 dogs and my three kids. Breakfast buffet is simply mega! The restaurant is also upper class and the friendliness of the staff comes from the heart. The bartender is hard to beat in terms of expertise and ends the day wonderfully. Keep it up! LG Andrew

Nice hotel with great rooms on the outskirts of Stuttgart. The restaurant is not worth it, it is really expensive and the food is not worth it.

We chose the hotel because of its emphasis on *peace*, *silence* and *recreation*. We believed the description on the homepage and the many positive reviews and wanted to treat ourselves to something very special for our wedding anniversary. So we booked the most expensive suite for 6 days and paid a whopping €2700 including breakfast. It is mentioned on the page that the suite is only accessible by stairs, but does not mention how narrow these are. Also not mentioned is that the suite is above the dining and event rooms and that the bookable extension rooms of the suite will also be sold individually to others; Rooms located above the suite via another very noisy wooden staircase. Brazen to put the most expensive rooms over the loudest area. We had hell on earth in this suite (room 501) for 6 nights without any chance of sleep, as there are countless celebrations during the Christmas season and the staff move chairs and tables until 1:30 a.m. and then again from 5 a.m. onwards. In addition, a number of people seem to believe that if you have money you can give up all decency. There was a shower over us at 2:30 a.m., there was constant rumbling and trampling - sleep was not possible. However, we wouldn't have wanted to change rooms - we also received complaints from other guests about the inconsideration and noise in the newer buildings. What's striking is that not once did anyone ask us if we had a good night. However, we would like to express our special respect to the staff, who can remain so extremely friendly and attentive despite so many egocentric and self-centered guests. The food was outstanding and if you retreat to the small niches in the back room during breakfast, you are spared the loud conversations of rude, distant and disrespectful busybodies. The barman Mr. Supper saved our evenings with his funny and friendly manner and his humanity. We're sorry, but unfortunately we won't see each other again.

I've been here several times and always enjoy coming back. The hotel is not the cheapest, but the location is worth it to me. The only point of criticism is that the check-out and breakfast times could be changed. Others do it better.

This is how the hotel works: A really warm welcome, electronic registration form, the room is well laid out, perfectly furnished, fantastic bed and bedding. Simply feel good in a more than pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.

We are holding a seminar here and are absolutely thrilled!!! Nice rooms, great seminar room, great restaurant, great hotel overall, but the best thing: extremely nice staff, very friendly!! and all transactions were very professional. We are fans of the Sonnenalp in the Allgäu - service, employees, professionalism and warmth can definitely keep up!

We'll be back! We have now been to the Waldhotel Stuttgart for the second time. Both times we had the superior hotel room. The room is very nice, clean and quiet. Lunch and dinner in the Finch restaurant, both times really very good. Very good underground parking for a secure parking space. Two comments and suggestions for improvement: The breakfast buffet could be improved a bit. The selection is rather limited compared to other upscale hotels. The staff in the restaurant seem a bit hectic at breakfast and dinner. In my opinion this is more due to the lack of staff. Unfortunately, guests notice this and there are waiting times.

The hotel is located in a quiet, relaxing area about 650 meters from the television tower. It is clean, well-kept and stylishly furnished. I With a small but fine fitness and wellness area. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty and plentiful every day. Also recommended for vegans and vegetarians. The staff was always friendly, helpful, courteous and attentive. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Like the Swiss men's national soccer team at the UEFA EURO 2024, we chose the Waldhotel Stuttgart for our city trip from August 28th to September 1st, 2024. Located on a wooded hill near the Stuttgart television tower, it is excellently connected to the subway network. All employees are very warm, friendly and well trained. We immediately felt welcome. Benefiting from the warm and sunny weather, we were able to enjoy all meals on the terrace.

Great hotel in the south of Stuttgart. Very competent, friendly, young employees. From breakfast to dinner, the cuisine is in the top league. The meeting rooms are bright and equipped with everything you need. If something is missing, an employee is available immediately. I would also like to highlight the toiletries in the room.

I can only advise you to take a look at the reviews on Tripadvisor. Very targeted.

It's a location in the woods that makes you feel very luxurious. It's a little far from the city, but you can walk from the U-Bahn station, so it doesn't feel inconvenient. The rooms are clean and the staff's service is also very good.

Wonderful quiet retreat. Beautiful, modern and very spacious rooms. The price of the restaurant and gastronomy is quite high.

Bed is great, sanitary facilities in the room are good, light flickers (the only drawback and star rating)! Staff in the hotel (except for the restaurant) are attentive. Spa area is great! We'll be back but we'll avoid the restaurant.

I spent one night here while passing through Stuttgart, and booked the Waldhotel with no real expectations (other than clean and comfortable) as I had a busy schedule. It turned out to be an exceptionally lovely stay - the room spacious, with a large bathroom and separate shower, and a balcony overlooking a green space and forest. I ended up lingering with coffee on the balcony the next morning before checkout, and wished I had more time to do so. I didn’t have a chance to try the onsite restaurant, but it looked to be quite attractive and busy at lunchtime. The bar off the lobby was a nice spot for a drink before setting off for the evening. If I find myself back in the Stuttgart area, I know where I’ll be staying.

On the return journey from the Rhineland to Lake Constance we stayed at the Waldhotel for two days. Very good decision, again at any time. Beautiful hotel right by the forest.

What can I say, everything was as I had hoped and expected from a hotel like this, just a little better. Yes, there are things to complain about, but at a very high level, and absolutely none of them diminished the overall impression. My personal highlight was that the bar hadn't seen such an excellent bartender in a very long time. Thanks for that.

Ein ruhiges und sehr serviceorientiertes Hotel in bequemer Randlage zur City Stuttgart. Für uns als Musicalbesucher ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Mehrere Bahnen führen in 15 Minuten in die Innenstadt oder in die andere Richtung zum Theater. Zimmer schön eingerichtet, das Bett sehr bequem, die Pflegeprodukte im Bad sind angenehm. Bademantel für den Saunabesuch und Snack und gekühlte Getränke sowie Teekocher vorhanden. Das umfangreiche Frühstück ist seinen zugegeben stolzen Preis wert. Die frisch zubereiteten Speisen sind köstlich. Alles perfekt, wir kommen wieder!

Wir hatten anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstags ein 3-Gang-Menü. Der Service war durchgängig sehr freundlich und angenehm. Alle Speisen waren lecker und von Qualität wie auch Quantität sehr gut gemacht. Der Wein (Lemberger) zur Ente passte, war aber mit 15,50 €/Glas ganz schön teuer. Das Ambiente ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Stühle sind durchgessen; hier muss renoviert werden.

am 4.08.23 haben wir trotz einer gut gebuchten Veranstaltung noch im vorderen Bereich einen Tisch erhalten . Sehr aufmerksamer kompetenter Service mit passender Weinempfehlung. Das Essen ( Tartar, Oktopus, Thunfisch handwerklich kreativ und geschmacklich gut umgesetzt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis war nach unserer Meinung gegeben. Ein Kritikpunkt: die Inneneinrichtung des Restaurants ist mittlerweile schon sehr in die Tage gekommen.

Wir waren privat mit 4 Personen hier, da wir gute Erinnerungen aus 2019 hatten und wir den gleichen gehobenen Standard wie damals erwartet haben - vor allem bei den Preisen! Hauptspeise im Durchnitt über 35Euro, Dessert ab 10Euro und Suppen ab 10,50Euro. 1 Flsche 0,75l Wasser gibe es für günstige 8Euro, Wein 0,2l min. 13Euro. Gourmetpreise ja - aber dann lieber diese in einem anderen Restaurant bezahlen. Wir waren alle enttäuscht von diesem Preis und den damit verbundenen Speisen. Die Räumlichkeiten im Inneren sind sehr dunkel und beklemmend. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht mehr zukünftig für unsere Geschäftsveranstaltungen nutzen und somit auch nicht mehr das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Da gibt es im Stuttgarter Raum weitaus bessere Möglichkeiten kulinarisch und preislich.

Wir waren am 04.08. mit Freunden an unserem Hochzeitstag dort essen, so wie jedes Jahr. Das Essen hat uns nicht zufriedengestellt - es hat uns begeistert. Das ist der feine Unterschied zwischen anderen Lokalen und dem Waldhotel. Auch der Tischservice ist echt Klasse. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

We have been several times to the Waldhotel and the restaurant Finch and it is always a pleasure to eat there. Also this time we have not been disappointed. As starter we had Thai coconut soup and pumpkin variations both very nice. Main was the paella and the variation of deer back and shank. Both dishes a pleasure to eating. The service is friendly and attentive. Of course we will return!

Wir hatten an einem Donnerstag Abend im Restaurant reserviert. Davor gings erstmal in die gemütliche Hotelbar zum Aperitif. Ein gekonnter Champagnerservice folgte. Dazu wurden frische, leckere Oliven gereicht. Der aufmerksame Barkeeper merke beim Besuch auf der Terrasse für eine Raucheinlage, dass zwei von uns ihre Gläser stehen lassen hatten und brachte diese direkt nach. Auch die allmählich geleerte Olivenschale wurde direkt ersetzt. Im Restaurant angekommen wurden wir höflich begrüßt und zum gemütlichen 4er Tisch geleitet. In einer kleinen Nische am Fenster ist ein auch eine gewisse Privatsphäre gegeben und man bekommt relativ wenig vom restlichen Restaurantlärm mit. Ideal um sich in Ruhe unterhalten zu können. Eine junge freundliche Bedienung begrüßte uns und nahm unsere Bestellungen auf. Die Speisekarte gestaltet sich als vielseitig, aufgeräumt und spannend. Die Auswahl ist quantitativ genau richtig gewählt. Eine saisonale Extrakarte, sowohl für Speisen als auch für Aperitif und Weine rundet das Angebot richtig ab. Der Service arbeitet ruhig, nicht aufdringlich und unglaublich aufmerksam. Die Balance zwischen unterhaltend und zurückhaltend ist genau getroffen worden. Die Weinempfehlung hat genau unseren Geschmack getroffen. Die Speisen haben uns dann absolut begeistert. Die Größe der Gerichte, die Auswahl der Bestandteile, die Gargrade, einfach alles war perfekt. Selten einen so stimmigen Abend gehabt, kann man bedenkenlos empfehlen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall jetzt regelmäßig vorbeischauen. Hut ab vor dieser Gesamtleistung des gesamten Küchen-& Serviceteams. Abschließend hat uns die Rechnung überrascht bei 3 individuellen Gängen, Wasser, Wein, Kaffee und Apero für knapp über 50€ pro Person. Bei diesem Niveau muss man lange nach einem solchen angenehmen Preisgefüge suchen.

Unter dem Fernsehturm und ruhig am Waldrand gelegen gehört das Finch im Waldhotel bei uns zu den festen Adressen für ein leckeres Abendessen in stilsicherer Atmosphäre. Wo andere Restaurants künstlich modern wirken wollen, setzt das Finch auf eine gediegene aber unaufdringliche Umgebung, ruhige Nischen für ein Essen im kleinen Kreis und ein ebenso aufmerksames wie zuvorkommendes Personal. Der Rostbraten mit Spätzle ist seit Jahren eine sichere Bank - auch wenn man als Schwabe stets Soße nachbestellen muss - und gehört zu den besten Rostbraten der Region. Aber auch Liebhaber leichterer Genüsse finden hier beispielsweise im Caesar Salad mit Poulardenbrust eine ausgesprochen gut gelungene Alternative. Bei der Weinbegleitung kann man allerdings je nach Tagesform mal mehr oder weniger Glück haben und leider muss man sich bisweilen auch selbst nachschenken. Fazit: Wer ausgezeichnet zubereitete Klassiker ohne Firlefanz mag, ist in Degerloch richtig.

So ist das nun mal auf der Waldau, entspannt, ruhig, guter Service, ausgezeichnetes Essen. Am liebsten würde ich hier noch übernachten, aber ich wohne nur ein paar Kilometer weg.

Uns hat der Besuch im Restaurant Finch viel Spaß bereitet - wir haben das Dinieren hier sehr genossen. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht, die Karte war abwechslungsreich und eine gute Mischung aus Klassikern (jeder findet was) und außergewöhnlicheren Zubereitungen / Speisen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend, charmant und hat auch Sonderwünsche gerne erfüllt. Die Küche war sehr gut, alles auch sehr dekorativ angerichtet. Auch der Platz war sehr angenehm - wir saßen in einer Nische auf zwei Sitzbänken. Einziges Manko: Aufgrund einer Veranstaltung im Nebenraum war es recht laut. Dennoch ingesamt ein richtig leckerer, gelungener Abend.

Die Karte ist übersichtlich,aber völlig ausreichend,hier findet jeder was.Die Speisen sind leider nicht schön angerichtet,für dieses Preisniveau,darf der Gast mehr erwarten.Der Zwiebelrostbraten war geradezu unansehnlich, die Currysuppe,in Sesamöl ertränkt fand ich für knapp 9 €grenzwertig.Der Service war freundlich aber sehr steif und old school unentspannt...alles in allem fällt das Restaurant zum Niveau des Hotels leider ab.

The restaurant was booked, but there maitrede suggested I eat at the bar. We had the schnitzel and the steak, both were decent, not great. Barman was condescending. Waiter was inattentive. Overall, simple requests and comments were wholly ignored by both. Hopefully the restaurant service is better, but I cancelled our reservation there for the following evening since I wasn't willing to risk it.

Als wir heute ankamen, wurden uns gleich die Jacken abgenommen, dann wurden wir zu unserem Platz geführt. Selbst die gemütlichen Polsterstühle wurden uns noch rangeschoben, als wir uns setzen wollten. Das nenne ich mal Service - weiter so! Wir hatten das Valentinstagsmenü. Ich habe 6 Gänge gezählt, angefangen von einem Gruß aus der Küche bis zum Dessert. Jeder Gang hat wieder einen anderen Geschmacksnerv getroffen. Unterschiedlicher hätte es nicht sein können. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sich die Zunge gerade an den Geschmack gewöhnt hatte und dann kam der nächste Gang mit einer komplett anderen Köstlichkeit. Einfach klasse diese Kreationen! Meine Frau schwärmt zuhause immer noch von dem köstlichen Rindersteak. :-) Auch während der Gänge zeigten sich die Kellner von der besten Seite. Es kam immer wieder jemand vorbei und hat grundsätzlich bei jedem Gang 1-2 Mal nachgefragt, ob alles passt. In welchem Restaurant gibt es das schon? Das Ambiente ist einfach richtig romantisch, aber zugleich sehr stilvoll. Es lagen auf dem Tisch frische Rosenblüten aus und auch frische Tulpen standen dort. Die Toiletten sind sauber. Das Hotel wirkt allgemein auch sehr clean. Fazit: Jeder erinnert sich noch an das Prickeln im Bauch bei seinem erstes Date mit seiner Frau, sein erstes Erlebnis im Musical - diesen Abend werden wir auch ganz sicher nie vergessen. Wir haben es gefühlt mit allen Sinnen. :-)
