So, I am writing this review as an Indian. All I can say is that this restaurant is good for Europeans. The taste is not authentic but then it caters to the European taste buds. So if you are European, and want to introduce Indian food to your kids, this is a great place. Not too spicy. But if you are craving for real indian food, this may not be your place. The nan for example was half cooked and not baked in a tandoor for example. But on the plus side the staff is very very friendly and the prices are very cheap.

Super tasty, prices ok. Was only there in winter, you can also sit outside in summer, so only 4/5 stars for ambience

Renate’s Pauseneck is the last real snack bar in Freiburg! All the dishes are always a delight and make you forget the stress around you at lunch! You can add onions 🧅 to all dishes, which in my opinion complement every meal perfectly! If you are looking for a real snack bar in Freiburg (like you often found in Freiburg a few years ago, for example at the old freight station) you have come to the right place!

We came here for the first time with my family. Very clean environment, kind waiters, Mrs. Giulia served us with a lot of loving welcome and friendliness. Well, the food was really top notch. We felt for a moment that we were in Italy eating, I can only really recommend this place... it will definitely be worth doing all this again, we will be back soon.

The tarte flambée was really good. Not too much, but not too little either. Top dough! Tastes good! Staff very accommodating and friendly. Guest area nicely decorated. I'd love to come back.

Tastiest Yufka we have eaten in a long time. When ordered, one of them was actually really spicy!! Top. The sauce was very tasty and the constitution of the Yufka was also great. Very nice and fast delivery. Would be happy to order again. But now the prices are beyond good and bad. Unfortunately also for the delivery.
