I ate a really delicious dish, the place had a nice atmosphere, the staff was kind. I can only recommend it.

Yesterday I googled an Indian restaurant in Freiburg and spontaneously drove here. From the outside it looks rather inconspicuous, almost like a snack bar - but the first impression is deceptive! We went in and were more than pleasantly surprised. A small but beautiful restaurant. 🍛 The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and filling. The service was very friendly and attentive. We were also really happy about the surprise dessert. 🥰 We'll definitely be back!

We come from Ukraine and are used to high-quality restaurants and excellent cuisine that are very difficult to find here in Germany. On the way back from the Alps we decided to visit this place… and what can I say? I ordered a veal steak - I haven't eaten such good meat for a long time. The pizza, “just as delicious as in the best restaurants in Italy,” said our child. My wife loved the Spaghetti Gamberetti. It's a true rarity to taste three such delicious dishes in a single restaurant. Kudos to the staff!

It spontaneously looks like a classic kebab shop, it also smells like one BUT there is delicious, delicious tarte flambée, the location is coolly decorated, the service is very friendly and accommodating. You have to get your own drinks from the fridge but I think that's okay. Gladly again, thanks to the team!!!

Renate’s Pauseneck is the last real snack bar in Freiburg! All the dishes are always a delight and make you forget the stress around you at lunch! You can add onions 🧅 to all dishes, which in my opinion complement every meal perfectly! If you are looking for a real snack bar in Freiburg (like you often found in Freiburg a few years ago, for example at the old freight station) you have come to the right place!

The best tarte flambée in a long time! Nice and crispy and the fresh topping was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was very friendly! An absolute must for tarte flambée lovers!

We had reserved a table for 10 people by phone for Sunday. We happened to be there on Friday - two days before and asked if everything was OK with the reserved table. We discovered that there was no reservation at all. Were very shocked about that. We then made reservations again for Sunday two days later for 10 people. Finally arrived on Sunday and discovered for the second time that there was still no table reserved for us. The staff were lucky, or rather we were lucky, that they only had two tables left to put together. How can it be that we have to reserve a table twice and then there is still no table reserved? I actually don't know how to reserve a table in this restaurant??? That's why we'd rather not do that in the future.

Called in for a late evening beer. The guys serving were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Nice to sit outside and enjoy the night.

I ordered food at home and after an hour and a half they canceled it. Night ruined with visits at home. Terrible service

Good rest point on a hike, delicious food and great views (as long as the fog isn't wafting through the valley). Large parking lot and nice terrace.

The best German cuisine I have experienced in years. Never eaten such tender meat. The atmosphere is beautiful and rustic, as was often the case in the Black Forest back then. Really only recommended!
