One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited. As mentioned in other reviews, the food isn’t overly spicy, which makes it especially approachable for non-Indian diners. The dishes were delicious, the prices reasonable, and the interior design typical for this type of restaurant. What truly stood out was the exceptional service—warm, welcoming, and reflective of the renowned Indian hospitality. I’m especially grateful to the waitress who kindly offered extra tea and halva on the house. A must-visit spot.

Highly recommended! Large selection of different dishes, you can put together your own Thalis with your favorite dishes, great value for money. The food was very attractively prepared and we really enjoyed it! What should be highlighted is the very friendly and courteous service! Our waiter and also the kitchen staff were really extremely nice. We felt very comfortable! Thank you for the lovely evening and the great food!

The food was delicious, everything is beautifully decorated and there is a pleasant, spicy smell in the air. The staff is very friendly and the food was served quickly (we specifically asked for it). The dishes themselves were perfectly seasoned and seasoned. You can't complain, gladly again

We came across the restaurant because of the good reviews. Primarily, one Lieferando order after the other was packed on Sunday evening. We waited over an hour for the main course. This was prepared at the counter from warming containers. Generally a lot of potential, but you shouldn't forget the service (10 minutes from the hand signal until someone comes) on site. The organization of take-away and on-site meals needs to be better coordinated. However, the staff is friendly.

I'm currently sitting in this restaurant and had a very good meal with my girlfriend. The bread is amazing, the butter chicken and minced lamb are super soft, juicy and delicious. Very nice waiter and the food came to the table quickly. We'll definitely be back!

So, I am writing this review as an Indian. All I can say is that this restaurant is good for Europeans. The taste is not authentic but then it caters to the European taste buds. So if you are European, and want to introduce Indian food to your kids, this is a great place. Not too spicy. But if you are craving for real indian food, this may not be your place. The nan for example was half cooked and not baked in a tandoor for example. But on the plus side the staff is very very friendly and the prices are very cheap.

I eat at maaji once a week and can only recommend it. The food tastes great, the boss is very friendly as well as his staff, the lake park is also nearby, you can go for a walk there after your meal, etc.

Great Indian restaurant in Freiburg one of the best

Very tasty food, fast and friendly service. Lots of delicious vegetarian and vegan food options. The ambience is not perfect and the prices are a bit high (vegetarian dish: €16.50, 0.5 l of homemade lemonade: €6.50). The portions are manageable for this price and it's a shame that you can't choose naan bread instead of rice. You then have to order this and it will be even more expensive. But all in all okay.

The food was very tasty, service was great, people there were great. But, the portion is a little too small, I would like to add a little more to the plate (if it's not worth it, then increase the price a little), then I would really be a regular customer 😁.

The food was excellent, so was their drinks and top notch service. Parking on street is subject to availability but free for 1-2 hours.

What really set this place apart was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed and offering helpful suggestions on the menu. Amazing food. They truly made us feel like valued guests.

Yesterday I googled an Indian restaurant in Freiburg and spontaneously drove here. From the outside it looks rather inconspicuous, almost like a snack bar - but the first impression is deceptive! We went in and were more than pleasantly surprised. A small but beautiful restaurant. 🍛 The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and filling. The service was very friendly and attentive. We were also really happy about the surprise dessert. 🥰 We'll definitely be back!

I recently visited an Indian restaurant and tried their veg thali, 🍛 and it exceeded my expectations! The flavors were authentic, delicious, and the portions generous, offering great value for 💶. I also loved the rose lassi 🍹 — refreshing and well-balanced. The ambiance was spotless, with Bollywood music 🎶 creating a lively atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with staff frequently checking in if we needed extra pickle or chutney. ➕ the location is perfect, just a minute’s walk from the tram station. ❗️Highly recommended for its food, service, and affordability.

We are from France, the waiter was very helpful and very nice. He gave us a menu in English because we don't understand German. Very good food, we wanted a cheese nan, it was not on the menu but they still offered it to us at our request, I recommend the butter chicken with herbs.

Great food and atmosphere. The food is very authentic and love the service. They asked us multiple times if we need something extra or not. It was lovely visiting Freiburg and eating there. Completely recommend the restaurant.

The food itself wasn't bad, but unfortunately the portions are very, very small, even for me as a thin woman. My girls and I didn't all have the cheapest main courses in terms of price. There is also a large selection for vegetarians. Luckily the food was cold, so my stomach tightened a bit. This means that the price is definitely not appropriate. Actually, it's a shame.

As an Indian, definitely recommend to taste and enjoy food here. Especially lamm curry it was delicious.
