Solid Flammkuchen restaurant in Freiburg. It‘s not easy to find a good place to eat Flammkuchen, but the ones here are very tasty and authentic. Moreover quite cheap for what you get. Would recommend.

Incredible atmosphere and amazing food!! Highly recommend

I visited because I heard you good must try flammkuchen when you come to Freiburg. The right side of the store is take-away, and the left is for eating in. I thought I'd order self-service on the right side and then sit down to eat. The place was already almost full. You take out the drink you want and drink it yourself. I ordered Sami's flammkuchen with salmon. I had lange rotte before coming here, but Sami's flammkuchen was delicious, too. And the staff were really friendly. While I was waiting for my food, my return train was suddenly canceled, which was really disappointing, and I couldn't fully concentrate on eating.

The food was delicious and good value for money. The tables are quite close together, so it's not ideal for longer conversations. Nevertheless, it's a good place for a spontaneous, casual dinner.

We ordered pasta with spinach and salmon, as well as a pizza with salami and ham. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. We felt truly comfortable there. The price of the food is almost "cheap" these days, but you wouldn't know it from the quality. We would definitely come back! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I was expecting way more considering they have 4.8 stars. Sadly this was not the case. The tomate and mozzarella salad was terrible, lowest quality possible and terrible taste. The Flammkuchen was “ok” in the taste, but the issue was that I got so little ingredients, come on… this was a vegetarian one and I got barely corn and few pieces of mushrooms, these are cheap ingredients!!! The amount of cheese… almost nonexistent. Positive side: nice employees, I hope they have decent salaries.

Super tasty, moderate prices, but the beer tables are far from comfortable. Self-service drinks, all non-alcoholic! Highly recommended!

The most important ingredients for tarte flambée are the oven and the hand-rolled, homemade, thin dough. Baking them in a pan would burn everything instantly. But these are true artists at work: The flatbreads were all exactly the same size, perfectly oval in shape, and with very even edges... (Honi soit qui mal y pense.) Unfortunately, some of the toppings were clearly from a can. Expensive, though.

We had a pizza and a special tarte flambée. Both were delicious, and I would go back. We were lucky and got a seat right away. However, you should expect to wait. Alternatively, you can also order takeaway.

Seasonal tarte flambée (chanterelles) and so many other varieties. Very good salad (delicious dressing). Drinks to take home from the fridge. Separate room where you sit. The room where you order is more like a snack bar, but you probably don't sit there. The staff are extremely friendly and trustworthy. You pay for everything at the end. Highly recommended.

As a lover of authentic Alsatian tarte flambée, this was a no-go. Unfortunately, the batter is wrong and very bland. The salmon is very fishy. The toppings are minimal. Considered in this light, the price is quite steep. A plus point is the nice decor. However, the garden tables aren't particularly suitable for bottles, as there's a risk of them tipping over due to the gaps.

This was a great place to stop, especially as a visiting American. Easy to order, food was good.

Flammkuchen A type of "German/Alsatian pizza" with a very thin crust and simple ingredients (onion, cream, bacon)—common in the area. Like good mountaineers, we added ham and pineapple to make them Hawaiian. We loved it, and the service was very good, highly recommended. And of course, the local drinks from Freiburg im Breisgau (Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany).

I went to the Breisgauer Flammkuchen with my girlfriend, and it was a truly wonderful experience. I asked the staff member for a recommendation, and he suggested the No. 20 "Muna's." Since I don't eat pork, I asked if it could be substituted – and he immediately accommodated. Super friendly and helpful! The Flammkuchen was truly delicious: crispy base, fresh ingredients, and top-notch flavor. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also cozy and pleasant, making us feel very comfortable. The service was fantastic – attentive, fast, and friendly. A definite recommendation; we'll definitely be back!

I had dinner last night with four friends at this restaurant, which I highly recommend. There's a wide selection of tarte flambée (flavored pastries). Pasta, salads, and pizzas are also on the menu. Whichever dish you choose, you won't be disappointed. For dessert, there are delicious tarte flambée (flavored with Nutella and banana, Nutella and strawberry, or Nutella and cherry if the season is right), and apple and cinnamon. You order at the counter, and the dishes are served quickly. The service is attentive and friendly. In conclusion, we had a wonderful last evening to round off our vacation. Living near the border, I'll definitely be back. Dogs are welcome.

The owners are friendly, the various tarte flambées taste quite good, but they're not going to blow you away. The tables weren't cleaned and were quite sticky in places, the restrooms were dirty, and there was no soap. You have to stand in line to order, then sit down, and the tarte flambée is brought. Then you have to stand in line again at the ordering station to pay... inconvenient when it's busy. You could pay right away when you order, so you wouldn't have to stand in line twice... Otherwise, it's okay.
