I had meanin to try Flammkuchen for some time. A German friend suggested that I with the classic Speck and Onion. Breisgauer Flammkuchen was the closest highly-rated spot. The counter ordering service is fast and efficient. The food comes out in moments. Flammkuchen is Germany's answer to pizza. The crust is softer and blander that Italian pizza. This place does not yeast, I added a bit of salt to boost the flavor While I was not converted to Flammkuchen fandom, the dish was well-prepared and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. They also offer pizzas and cook them in the same pizza oven.

A local gave me the tip when I asked! As soon as I ordered, I noticed that the customer is king here! I ordered without any hassle, grabbed a drink from the fridge myself, and sat down at a table where I enjoyed a particularly pleasant atmosphere! The service is very friendly and you feel at home here. My classic tarte flambée was delicious! Thanks guys!

A place with very delicious food where you can find halal food. We chose a fancy vegetarian. It was very nice. Recommended.

As someone who loves Flammkuchen but finds its smell strange, I didn't smell that smell here and it was delicious, the service was fast and the prices were affordable.

To be honest, I don't understand the good reviews at all. The tarte flambée was dry and actually just a thin pizza with a tarte flambée topping (I once had turkey and classics). The turkey was also bone dry and already tarnished :(. In addition, the toilet is down the stairs with no door away from the guest room and you can hear the fecal noises while eating and are directly exposed to the fumes from the toilet, which I find absolutely unhygienic (is that even legal???). In addition, one of the toilets did not have a toilet seat and neither of them had a toilet brush and saw Accordingly, absolutely unappetizing... Service was nice but that was absolutely NOT a recommendation!

When I visited the Breisgauer Flammkuchenhaus, I was greeted by a cozy atmosphere that invited me to linger. The ambience promises a relaxed evening with friends or family. I chose the Mediterranean tarte flambée and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. The zucchini, for example, was raw and only served and would have gained more flavor if it had been grilled or pickled. With a little more spice, the tarte flambée could in principle develop its full potential. However, pepper and salt were available on the table for you to season yourself. The service was very good and the staff friendly and attentive. This rounds off the overall experience somewhat. In addition, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Overall, a recommendation with some room for improvement.

The Breisgau Flammkuchen restaurant is a real culinary gem! Flamekueches are deliciously crispy, topped with fresh and tasty products. The atmosphere is warm and the service welcoming. An ideal place to discover or rediscover this Alsatian specialty in a pleasant setting. I highly recommend!

Average experience, the flammkuches are sparse, not bad but not excellent. The service is acceptable (the waiter is not pleasant about the fact that we are ordering a Flam for two to start). The tables are very tight.

I've eaten at Breisgauer Flammkuchen several times and so far it's always been very good. This time I had a tarte flambée with chicken and I have to say that it was pretty “dry”. Unfortunately there were no napkins or bottle openers on the tables. In addition, the top of the chilli oil bottle was wrapped in foil. I think that was well-intentioned so that it wouldn't fall off, but it doesn't look appetizing! It shouldn't fail because of a sensible bottle. Of course I'll still be back and hope these impressions were an exception...
