The guys are great and do a great job. The concept is exactly our thing. You can really tell that everyone has fun and enjoys what they do. The Hawara is unique in Freiburg! First of all, I think it's great that there's only one menu and you're surprised. The combinations are so unusual and yet very close to what is available at this time of year. The portions are just right, you feel pleasantly full! Wow. Incredible. We discovered Hawara by chance and got a table that same evening. We didn't know exactly what to expect and it completely blew me (us) away. We have never eaten and drank so exceptionally and exceptionally well. The greeting from the kitchen gave us a little idea that a lot of thought had been put into this and where the evening was going... and that has been confirmed :) I could write 5 lines about the potatoes alone and they were 'just' the accompaniment to the fish course... In addition, we had an accompaniment to the menu of unusual, delicious and exciting homemade drinks that complement the concept. Of course you can also drink wine and the man behind the counter is simply great. He told us something about everything, recommended wines and let us try different ones so that we could get an impression of the different styles... There is a super relaxed and friendly atmosphere that invites you to go on a journey and simply enjoy yourself. You can feel the ideas and the team's own signature on you such a high technical level that at the same time remains down to earth. With ingredients (potato peel, etc.) that have not traveled halfway around the world and that are processed in such an unusual way that it is pure joy to try them. Just thank you for this evening!!

We had a wonderful evening at Hawara, the guest service was friendly, attentive and professional. The guest room has been lovingly renovated and comfortably designed. We were allowed to taste the wines before ordering, which was a big help in our choice. The food is great. The combinations are imaginative and wonderfully prepared. Unfortunately, I couldn't do anything with the strong seasoning and the dishes that were too smoked for me in just a few courses. That's why only 4 stars. Price-performance ratio was perfectly fine for us.

I spent a wonderful evening at Hawara. The dining room was simply furnished, which focused even more on the perfectly prepared dishes. From the presentation of the individual courses by the staff, to the dishes and the creativity of the food, everything was perfect. I was able to try dishes and ingredients that I have never eaten anywhere before. I'll definitely come back :)

Colorful fig and wild rose vinegars promise a lively evening as soon as you enter this apparently former residential building. You feel at home in a place where you are welcomed at the table on a drafty autumn night with a warm, damp and delicately scented cloth for your hands and, after a sensory-awakening aperitif, you are offered a bowl of fragrant tea. The heart opens after the senses. The Hawara team was attentive, discreet and warm-hearted every minute. Also with each other, which I find beautiful and important. The food was an autumnal composition of flavors. The dishes are seasonal, sustainable, real, artistic and playful. If you later use the peel of the potatoes you enjoyed in ice cream (yes, I only want to eat potato peel ice cream now) and the crusts of the crayfish fished in the Rhine in the stock and use them to conjure up great dishes, then for me that is great craftsmanship, fine poetry and pure Passion. The food touches you very closely, which is not only due to the hand-made plates, which stretch towards your mouth with their sometimes leg-like shapes. I found the non-alcoholic menu accompaniment particularly excellent! You leave this charming place not only nourished and stimulated on all levels, but also with a loving greeting in your hands. Cool appearance in the Freiburg Wiehre. Young with esprit and wit, opened on the ground floor of an old house. Nothing like you'd expect from restaurants in this category - but maybe that's what makes you curious. There is a menu - so let yourself be surprised 😃. Special requests or intolerances are of course taken into account. The service was very friendly and competent, warm at all times and not fake. The menu was to die for. It was a very nice, relaxed evening at Hawara. The meal was excellent. The compilation was often very special and an experience. Lots of little things like B. the unusual dishes, the ambience, very tasty wines at a fair price and the service round off the evening. We'll come back and definitely try the terrace too.

We spent an evening at Hawara at the new location. Everything is very friendly and simple and you can see the effort that went into renovating the old house. The food exceeded all expectations. It consisted of five courses, which were expanded by three on top, imaginative, original and with regional ingredients. We liked that. It was like a little vacation through many flavors. Next time we will go with the wine pairing, the wine list is varied. This time we ordered individually, but we were well advised. It's a special evening of course, but if you look closely, it's very good value for money. We got a lot for our money and would love to come back!

Like a little journey into a culinary wonderland! Sensational service and absolutely reasonable prices for the quality of the dishes... we were really thrilled. Still a relaxed atmosphere.

As family men, we went to the “front house” every 3-4 months to talk and drink a few beers. However, you no longer feel welcome here. Staff: unfriendly overwhelmed (even though nothing is going on) 3x incorrect change Ambiance: has lost a lot of the front building Conclusion: You don't feel welcome, more like a burden. personal note: If you just want to drink a beer and it's pointed out upon entry that this doesn't fit into the concept, even though half the restaurant is empty, it doesn't have the most positive impression. The question: “So they don’t eat anything?” doesn’t make the impression any better. I don't think we'll come here again. We are not “permanent guests” but we have been regular guests. The staff acts clumsy and guest-unfriendly. Addendum: When we asked whether we were quiet guests who just wanted to chat and whether we had misbehaved in any way, we were told that we should look for something else in the future. personal addendum: If we were conspicuous, we would have understood. But 3 beers (per person) in 3 hours (there's nothing going on), you don't have to tolerate this unfriendliness. Regular guests lost 😞

Overall I thought it was good, but unfortunately my very high expectations were only partially met. I really liked one course (Sando), the spinach dumplings were also good, but the rest of the courses didn't completely convince me. Service was nice, but could have been much more attentive. For me, the ambience also didn't fit the concept - at this price level I expect, for example, that there is a wardrobe for wet winter jackets and that I don't have to hang them over the chair. And while a former sewing machine table may look nice, it's not exactly ideal for legroom.

We had a really great “Beisel” evening at Hawara, all the dishes were very attractively prepared and had a unique taste. I particularly liked the dessert, so you shouldn't miss that here :). The service is very warm and professional. We'd love to come back! :)

Were at an event in the front building and wanted to eat something beforehand. Since the reviews online were impressive, we had corresponding expectations. Unfortunately, these were not fulfilled in any way in terms of food. Small portions, way too overpriced. The food was nothing special, the certain “whistle” was missing. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but nothing more. Unfortunately not worth the money for us.

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Restaurant mit absolut leckeren Speisen, außergewöhnlich, regional, keine Riesenportionen und einem sehr netten und aufmerksamen Service. Wir waren begeistert, eine echte Bereicherung in der Gastroszene von Freiburg-Herdern. Das Dessert vom Glockenapfel ist zum Dahinschmelzen!

Bei Hawara darf man sich auf eine entspannte Atmosphäre mit viel Lifestyle freuen. Man betritt die alte Fabrik und möchte gleich lässig loslegen einige Happen zu genießen. Der Service war äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich, die Weinkarten war üppig und ein paar sehr verheißungsvolle Weingüter fanden sich auch wieder. Wir wurden zu den Gängen Fabelhaft beraten und jeder Gang erzählt seine eigene Geschichte. Von streng limitiertem Zander aus regionaler Herkunft, über reduzierte Saucen gepairt mit geschmacksreichem Pilzen über fabelhafte Sandwiches mit frittierter Entenbrust werden Genussfreunde hier absolut verwöhnt. Für qualitätsbewusste Entdecker & Genießer ein absoluter Geheimtipp von mir!

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das Hawara zu besuchen und ich muss sagen, dass ich von meinem Besuch mehr als begeistert war. Die Produkte, die hier serviert werden, sind regional und von höchster Qualität. Es ist großartig zu sehen, dass es in Freiburg endlich einen Ort gibt, der jung, frisch und dynamisch ist und gleichzeitig die lokalen Produzenten aus der Umgebung unterstützt. Das Ambiente ist modern und einladend und trifft meine Vorstellung eines zeitgemäßen Restaurantkonzepts. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam und auch die Weinkarte ist äußerst fair kalkuliert. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, gleich ein paar Gerichte auszuprobieren und ich war von jedem einzelnen begeistert. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem empfehlen, der auf in Freiburg der Suche nach gutem Essen und einer tollen Atmosphäre ist. Insgesamt war mein Besuch im Restaurant ein außergewöhnliches kulinarisches Erlebnis und ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Vielen Dank, dass ihr einen Ort geschaffen habt, der das Beste aus der Region auf so wunderbare Weise präsentiert!

Normalerweise gehe ich nicht so oft in Restos und begnüge mich auch gern mit einem schönen Käsebrot daheim, aber Essen (& Trinken)bei Hawara ist anders! Feines Essen, professioneller Service in dem alle ihr Wissen über Produkte, Prozesse und Wein teilen und eine herrliche Theke zum drüberstreichen &dranfletzen. À la prochaine!!!

Hier erlebt man eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion mit wirklich nachhaltigem Umgang mit Lebensmitteln und Menschen. Die Atmosphäre ist bezaubernd und man fühlt sich zu Gast bei Freunden. Unbedingt empfehlenswert ist der Platz an der Theke;-))

Sowohl Menü als auch à la carte - jedes Mal aufs Neue überraschen mich die verschiedenen Kombinationen und Zubereitungsarten, die zu einzigartigen Geschmackserlebnissen führen. Kochen ist Kunst, das fühle ich hier sehr. Gleichzeitig aber stets der Bezug zu heimischen Gemüsesorten, zu den Menschen, die diese hervorbringen und den Tieren, die verarbeitet werden. Ein Besuch bei HAWARA ist geprägt von großer Gastfreundschaft, einem tollen Service und herausragender Weinberatung. Zum 8 Gänge Menü haben wir die Weinempfehlung gewählt und auch hier sehr positiv überrascht von Variationsmöglichkeiten, die ich selbst so nie gewählt hätte. Die Kombination aus Holz und Metall schafft ein schönes Ambiente, gemütlich und einladend den Abend über zu verweilen.

Sehr, sehr lecker. Gerichte auf höchstem Niveau und dafür angemessene Preise. Die Weinbegleitung war perfekt auf die Speisen abgestimmt. Der Service war hervorragend und super sympathisch. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Unglaublich entzückendes junges Team mit tollen Ideen, wirklich regionalen und nachhaltigen Zutaten. Bei zahlreichen PopUps wurden wir bereits überzeugt, nun endlich "sesshaft" geworden. Eine Bereicherung für die Freiburger.

Wir haben uns für drei Gänge à la carte entschieden und waren sowohl mit dem Essen als auch mit dem Service mehr als zufrieden! Werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen, wenn wir mal wieder Lust auf etwas Besonderes haben!
