We've been coming back for years. Basically we are very satisfied, although this varies depending on the day. One 5-star top rating and one 3-star rating, probably depending on the kitchen staff. The service is always friendly. That's why we give it 4 stars on average.

Super great restaurant, delicious and very child-friendly.

Please definitely go in! You can almost miss it from the outside, but behind the glass front there is a beautiful, quiet, green oasis :-) Food and service perfect! I'd love to come back.

Very, very tasty, everything was super fresh. Everyone can put together the meal the way they like it. The next time I'm in Freiburg, I already know where I'm going to eat. Great value for money and everyone in the service was very nice.

That evening there were four of us out and about and since there was a reason to celebrate, we spontaneously asked at the Zwickelstube in Freiburg. They actually had a table for four available the day before the desired date. The Zwürstube has cooked its way back to Guild Michelin heaven, so I was excited. The food was very good. The craftsmanship is more than good but the taste is not outstanding. Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed and there were simply not enough trained staff at the start. Although I'm already Generation X, we were still real youngsters compared to all the other guests. The atmosphere was rather dignified and somewhat old-fashioned.

Service: Unfortunately the service was poor, in a team of 5-10 people only one lady could speak German, wine was not chilled, despite reservations and a rather empty restaurant the waiting time was well over 1 hour. - Eat: Basically the food was okay. However, it didn't meet expectations and the price/performance wasn't right either. Here you can get top-class restaurants not far away for the same money. Quality is rather average. Ambience: The view is wonderful. Sitting on the balcony is a pleasure. Interior Interior is a mix of styles. There is a lack of a clear, consistent concept on the map, in the thematization and reinterpretation. Too bad. The location deserves better.

Wir sind zufällig vorbeigekommen und ich war etwas skeptisch reinzugehen. Gegen meine Enkelkinder hatte ich aber keine Chance😹. Ich bin rundum positiv überrascht worden. Verhaltensregelen zum Wohl der Büsis sind klar deklariert und werden auch eingehalten. Mich hat es sehr beeindruckt wie respekt-voll und liebevoll mit den Katzen umgegangen wird. Das Essen ein Traum!

Rustic, cozy, great view, nice breakfast, vegetarian option too and oat milk! Without a terrace inside, unfortunately a bit noisy for breakfast in bad weather. Timeslots: 2 hours. Sufficient. Nice young ladies in service, very attentive!
