Unexpectedly busy restaurant with very nice staff. We're still raving about the dumplings and asparagus. Plus delicious wine at a fair price. Perfect all around and greatly enriched our visit to Freiburg. Definitely visit.

We were there with a large group (34) for a celebration. The starter and main courses were the finest. The dessert was our own creation and also excellent. You could tell that the friendly staff had fun offering us a lovely evening, including the standing reception in front of the door and later the fire bowl. The joint discussions with the host beforehand were pleasant and creative, and the long evening went smoothly. However, I wouldn't want to come with more than 35 people because then the restaurant would certainly reach its limits. I can only recommend this restaurant.

We went to the Weinberg restaurant for dinner with my husband because we were craving schnitzel after a while. We were surprised at how good the food was in the Weinberg restaurant. The schnitzels were top notch with breading and meat, and with the side dish they were a real treat. A side salad is included in the menu, the salad was fresh and crunchy. All raw vegetable salads are prepared by the chef himself every day, which also determines the quality in the Weinberg restaurant. The service is very quick and attentive. We will definitely eat there again.

We have reserved a table for 6 people. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the Schlutzkrapfen, the meat was tender and excellent, the combination of ricotta and spinach in the Schlutzkrapfen was very convincing and the Tyrolean cuisine can only be recommended. The ambience was somewhere between modern and rustic in a beautiful location, with a beautiful terrace just a few steps away from the village stream. The service was very friendly and accommodating, we can only recommend it and we would be happy to come back

We were here for dinner this evening. The menu featuring Tyrolean specialties had us tempted. The service was friendly and attentive. Parking is generally difficult here, but they allowed us to park in front of the door because it was late – thank you for that. The food was good to okay, and we were full. The wooden bench was very hard, and it was relatively cool in the dining room. We were also the only guests.

We spontaneously got a place. Food excellent!! If we are in the area again we will stop there again :)

My change of stars comes from the response from the inn!!! I was only at the inn at 7:45 p.m. 2 large drinks, a large main meal and a dessert is not enough for them, I understand. For 2 hours it should be twice as much per person. You give a factual review and still give it 4 stars and it will be addressed. Staff stressed. I was a smoker, the service simply took away my salad side dishes, no apology, nothing. Not even the question of whether everything is okay. Drink reordering is not the strong point there. After ordering the dessert, a lady comes and says that the dessert is out. It's a shame. After 10 minutes a man comes and brings the dessert. When I paid, there was too much on my bill even though I told the man what I had. (Group where everyone has paid for themselves) Yes, he can't delete the drink from the cash register, which honestly isn't my concern. In the end, I didn't have to pay for it. Conclusion: Food and ambience are good but then it gets weak. Too bad

We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. and the staff and chef arrived at the same time. The food was good, but took longer. The cook brought it himself. The service was suboptimal and seemingly overwhelmed. Instead of asking us if we would like to drink something else, the glasses were collected after 70 minutes with the argument that there were too few and the service needed them (?). That hasn't happened to me yet 😅 What do they do when all the tables outside are full? Dessert took a long time, so we were left stranded until we left after a total of 2 hours.

The first impression was great, the hospitality was an experience like you would want anywhere. We will 100% come back. Toilets in great shape and very clean.

We had a wonderful summer evening on the cozy terrace of the vineyard. We enjoyed authentic South Tyrolean dishes and good wines in a great ambience. Los Criollos created a great atmosphere with their live music. The tenant is an extremely great host and we felt very welcome. Thank you for the lovely evening, we’ll be happy to come back 😊

Great beer garden in a quiet environment The service was very friendly and attentive. I was there with a friend - we both had Tyrolean dishes from the menu and were very satisfied. The food is still freshly cooked here. The beef was very tender. My girlfriend had dumplings and was also very satisfied. Gladly again!

Recently I had the pleasure of having dinner at the Gasthaus Weinberg St.Georgen restaurant and I have to say that it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff, who were attentive and professional throughout the evening. The ambience is elegant and cozy, providing the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner or an evening with friends. The decoration is tasteful and every detail seems to have been thought through. Now to the essentials: the food. Every dish we ordered was a real treat. The ingredients are obviously fresh and of high quality, and the presentation of the dishes is at the level of the best gourmet restaurants. The service was also impeccable. The waiters were not only friendly and attentive, but also knew the menu perfectly and were able to give us precise advice. Additionally, the pace of service was ideal: neither too fast nor too slow, allowing us to fully enjoy each dish. Finally, the wine list deserves a mention. The sommelier suggested wine pairings that turned out to be perfect and further enriched our dining experience. In summary, Gasthaus Weinberg St.Georgen is an address that no lover of good food should miss. Whether for a romantic dinner, a special celebration or just for fun, I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely come back!

There were 13 of us there, lots of different orders. Everything came at the same time, no one had to wait. No matter what food, it was all delicious! There really was something for everyone. We have been regular guests since we lived in Freiburg (2020) and have never been disappointed. We have tried almost all of the dishes and it always tasted great. Thank you for this successful and lovely evening.

By chance we had dinner in the vineyard yesterday, and what can I say, from the first moment, a warm welcome, a rustic, feel-good atmosphere, and the food, from starters to dessert, was simply delicious... We were definitely not there for the last time 😀

Wir waren in der letzten Woche in St. Georgen im Urlaub und haben 4x das Gasthaus besucht. Es ist ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Der Service ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Da alles frisch zubereitet wird, muss man etwas Wartezeit einplanen, aber das lohnt sich. Wir können alles von der Speisekarte und die Weinauswahl von Faber empfehlen und kommen gern bei einmal wieder.

Gasthaus Weinberg in St. Georgen. Bin beim wandern im Weinberg darüber gestolpert. Ein paar Tage später war ich zum Essen dort. Einfach hervorragend. Meine Rinderleber mit Bratkartoffeln waren ein zartes Gedicht. Super lecker Essen mit frischen Zutaten. Die Weine sind ebenfalls gut. Und die Lage schlägt so manches. Im Dorf an einem Kanal gelegen speist und trinkt man im lauschigen, ruhigen Biergarten. Die Chefin, Frau Schreck (und der Name ist nicht Programm!) ist super zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wirklich einen oder auch mehrere Besuche wert! Ich sage Dankeschön für den schönen Abend.

Wir waren am Freitag Abend dort Essen, ein sehr gemütliches Gasthaus, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, und das Essen war sehr sehr Lecker.

Bemerkenswert aufmerksamer Service, sehr leckeres Essen, schönes, rustikales Ambiente. Die Lage am Bach ist toll, wir freuen uns darauf, den kleinen Biergarten irgendwann auszuprobieren

Die Bärebätscher konnten vergangenen Freitag auch Einkunft in diesem netten Lokal finden. Neben dem leckeren Essen und trinken, war das Personal ebenso super freundlich. Alles trug zu einem schönen Abend bei :) Gruß Bärebätscher

Wir sind während unseres Kurzurlaubes hier eingekehrt. Ein uriges Lokal, der Service war wirklich gastfreundlich. Der Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzle war hervorragend! Empfehlenswert! Grüße aus Frankfurt am Main!

Nach dem Gäste, die nach uns kamen ihr Essen vor uns bekamen, kam nach langer Wartezeit unser Essen wo das Fleisch im Burger leider etwas kalt war...

Nur keine 5 Sterne, weil das Essen etwas salzig war. Sonst super!

Sehr freundlicher Service. Das Essen war lecker allerdings in den Käsespätzle extrem viele Zwiebeln (obwohl ich Zwiebel eigentlich gerne habe war es mir wirklich zu viel). Achtung die Preise von der hier gezeigten Speisekarte sind lange nicht mehr aktuell. Käsespätzle kosten mittlerweile 13.50€.
