Absolutely shameful, to avoid: too expensive, WATER NOT INCLUDED, no carafe of water, cold dish and I quote: "the kitchens are closed so we cannot reheat". To flee.

Wer gern vegetarisch/vegan/ isst sollte unbedingt hin. Aber auch wenn man weniger daran gewohnt ist Gemüse zu essen, lohnt es sich im adelhaus verschiedenes zu probieren. Hier gibts große Auswahl an Salaten, aber es gibt auch tagesmenü und warme Optionen. Naturlich gibts auch Getränke, vegan oder nicht, und dazu noch leckere dessert Auswahl!

Das Adelhaus ist ein Ort, den ich regelmäßig privat und beruflich besuche. Als Stadtführerin führe ich oft Gruppen hierher, die die große Auswahl am vegetarischen Buffet, die Bio-Qualität und die kreativen Speisen zu schätzen wissen. Mittags bietet das Adelhaus die Möglichkeit, sich am Buffet zu bedienen oder ein täglich wechselndes Tagesgericht zu probieren. Beides überzeugt durch Geschmack und Vielfalt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Zero-Waste-Philosophie, die in der Küche konsequent umgesetzt wird. Übriggebliebene Speisen werden weiterverarbeitet, fermentiert oder eingemacht – ein nachhaltiger Ansatz, der mir persönlich sehr gefällt. Das Adelhaus ist eine gute Adresse für alle, die Wert auf qualitativ hochwertige, vegetarische Küche und einen verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Ressourcen legen.

Probably the best quality food in Freiburg. Regional ingredients, a large selection at the buffet and great staff! My recommendation: a fire brigade cake for dessert :-)

Pros: - variety of healthy dishes Cons: - They abuse with prices - Main dishes at the buffet take a long time to come out when they run out - Although the prices are high, it is self-service, you have to bring back your plates and separate them and you have to sit with other people I payed for a very small piece of bread (see the picture) 2€. I find it a real abuse.

Food is good and expensive! At the warm buffet there should be more vegetables instead of "just" potatoes, rice and spaetzle. There was a nail in the wooden chair that made a hole in my new pants. Nice people work. There is no service as it is self-service and the dirty dishes have to be put away and sorted yourself. Conclusion: If you like to eat whole foods and don't care what it costs, you've come to the right place.

The Adelhaus in Freiburg is an exceptional organic restaurant that focuses on vegetarian and vegan dishes. The buffet is creative and seasonal, with lots of fresh, local ingredients. Everything is very tasty and the selection is large. The staff is very friendly. One of my absolute favorite restaurants when visiting Freiburg.

Cozy and nice. There is a nice little terrace at the back, but you can also sit outside in front of the entrance, really nice and quiet. You can put together your own food from a rich vegetarian buffet, everything is delicious. The plate is then weighed at the checkout and you pay according to the weight. Depending on how hungry you are, it will be more expensive. I paid just under €22 for a plate and was full afterwards.

Fantastic spot, was so pleased to find a vegetarian restaurant in Germany! Food was delicious, great selection, loved everything I tried! They even had tofu! They also had a lot of traditional German dishes as well, which were great to be able to try vegetarian style. Servers were very kind and friendly. Beautiful location especially if you can sit outside, surrounded by the quiet garden courtyard with shade.

The selection is very large and there is something for every taste. Everything is vegetarian and there is also a large vegan selection. At the buffet you pay per 100g, which is why it quickly becomes quite expensive. But the taste is right and we were satisfied overall.

Adelshaus is my absolute favorite in Freiburg! The vegetarian and vegan buffet offers a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious dishes that you can put together according to your mood. The concept in which the plate is weighed is not only innovative, but also fair and well thought out. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service - the waitresses are always attentive and warm. A real insider tip is the beautiful terrace, which is reminiscent of a small Italian town with its plants. Here you can relax wonderfully, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Adelshaus is a must for vegans and vegetarians! I can only warmly recommend it and always look forward to the next visit.

I love spending my lunch breaks here. In addition to the really nice service staff, the best tofu salad, delicious hot and cold drinks, I particularly enjoy the home-baked cakes and desserts on the terrace or with my feet in the adjacent Bächle.

Delicious organic food at reasonable prices. When the weather is good you can sit under a chestnut tree by the fountain on the beautiful Adelhauser Klosterplatz.

Warning: very overpriced. Basically a nice place to eat, in the outside space. But the food is very expensive. You pay by weight, regardless of what you eat. For example, I paid around 4-5 euros for a small bowl of rice for my son (less than 150 grams). White rice. My plate with beetroot, lentils and rice 20 euros. For the simplest ingredients. I know that there are a lot of additional costs for the restaurant in the calculation, but such a margin is not even achieved with drinks. It's a shame, because otherwise it's pretty good and, as I said, a nice place.

The food is very tasty, great selection for vegetarians and vegans. But unfortunately very expensive. For a normal full plate with salad, a slice of bread, a tiny soup and a drink 30€. We'll probably only come for drinks or a piece of cake, otherwise unfortunately it's not proportionate.

The salads on the exclusively vegetarian buffet are simply incredibly good! I love filling myself up on these, the hot dishes on offer are superfluous for me. Nevertheless, the noble house shines with its versatility, richness and full value. One drawback is the expensive prices, which are unfortunately completely unsuitable for students, for example, and are sometimes incomprehensible. Of course, good food has its price, but apart from at the checkout there is no direct service in the restaurant. Perhaps a tiered price would be an idea - this way low-income people could also enjoy wholesome meals.

The ambience has something of a canteen about it. But everyone is very friendly and the vegetarian food is really amazing. Really good.

The restaurant charges high prices for its cocoa, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Despite the high cost, the cocoa does not meet expectations and tastes disappointing. Unfortunately, given the high price level, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Good, high quality vegan food 😊 But I think the prices are crazy for a restaurant without service. As hungry as I was, I put together a large plate from the buffet. There was also a bowl of salad. The fun cost me €41 😃 just €13 for the salad and another €28 for the plate of warm food. Maybe I'll come back again and try the daily special for around €20. I probably won't do the buffet anymore 🤕

Nun, die Speisen an sich waren geschmacklich gut. Das Büfett Prinzip sinnvoll, eine gute Auswahl an warmen und kalten Speisen. Freundliche Mitarbeitende, die im Mittagsdurcheinander gute und aufmerksame Lotsenfähigkeiten zeigten. Allerdings sind die Toiletten im hinteren Bereich ein absolutes NO GO! Siffig und geruchsintensiv ohne Ende… Gerümpel liegt dort im Flur, der Weg dorthin führt an der Küche vorbei. Hoffen wir mal, dass die Zubereitung der Speisen…😉

Very diverse and high quality food. Great selection for vegetarians. The service is nice for the rush at lunchtime. However, the ambience is not comfortable on cold days, as the large room is very open and uninviting, so that it is drafty from the entrance to the next tables. There could really be more of the cozy sofa corners instead of the simple dining tables that are lost in the room.

The food is really delicious and there is a wide variety of options. The place was full, but we quickly got a table.

It’s very good but expensive (15 to 20€ for a plate) and not nice, we got yelled at like kids because we took out a water bottle to take a sip with medicine! Here everything is paid for, and smiles are not included!

One of the few really good salad buffets in Freiburg! There are only vegetarian, cold and warm dishes here. It is calculated by weight. A moderately filled plate costs around 13 euros for me, although I avoid overly heavy salads. I find the ambience inside only moderately appealing, but in summer there is a very nice inner courtyard. All in all, because of the great, varied and imaginative vegetarian food, I give it 5 stars 🌟.

Das Buffet ist sehr gut. Alle Zutaten sind Bio. Der Preis wird nach der Menge berechnet. Natürlich kostet das Essen etwas mehr, als in vergleichbaren Restaurants, aber aufgrund der Qualität ist dieser Preis definitiv gerechtfertigt.

Das beste Restaurant, in dem ich seit langem gesessen habe!!! So viel Auswahl an leckeren veganen Speisen. Am liebsten würden wir direkt wieder aus Flensburg nach Freiburg fahren, um im Adelhaus essen gehen zu können :)

Richtig lecker. Viel Auswahl am Buffet, ergänzt durch Tagesgerichte. Lage an einem kleinen schönen ruhigem Platz mit Brunnen unter schattenspenden Bäumen abseits der Hauptwege. Einfach toll und wie gesagt.. Feine Küche.

Comida bufet al peso. Todos los días tienen un plato de menú, fuera de bufet. Vegano. Bien cocinado y muy rico. Sus trabajadores son simpáticos y el lugar muy agradable.

Ottimo ristorante con pietanze vegeteraniane e vegane. Buona scelta di pietanze. Si prendono i cibi preferiti.…self-service e si paga dopo aver pesato i piatti. Ho bevuto un’ottima birra biologica. Il prezzo per due persone intorno ai 35€ con un litro d’acqua e birra da mezzo litro. Consigliato.

Essen war sehr sehr lecker! Viel Auswahl, schönes Ambiente und nettes Personal. Sogar auf Diversität und Zugriff auf kostenlose Hygiene Artikel für Frauen wird geachtet. Wunderbar. Sollte es mich wieder nach Freiburg verschlagen, komme ich gern wieder ins Adelhaus.

Matig aanbod van voedsel, veel van hetzelfde. Dat het biologisch is, betekent nog niet dat het goed is. Bizar dure koffie, een grote Americano kostte 4 euro, en bestond uit 4 slokjes. Wel lekkere thee als de enige zwarte theesoort die er is, niet op is. Alles bij elkaar niet echt een aanrader, alhoewel je er wel fijn kunt zitten, zowel binnen als buiten.

Tolles Lokal zum gemütlichen essen und trinken. Innen gibt es viele Tische sowie zwei Außenbereiche. Es war ein großes buffet aufgebaut mit sehr leckeren Speisen. Wir haben uns zwei Weizen geschnappt und setzten uns an ein Bächle direkt nebenan. Der Service war sehr gut und zuvorkommend.

Nous sommes allés entre collègues dans ce restaurant car certains de mes collègues sont végétariens. Première surprise en rentrant aucun service n'est fait à table ni les plats ( évident si vous prenez le buffet...) Mais aussi aucune boisson. Du coup on nous invite à aller nous servir au buffet en ambiance cantine (plateau, serviette en papier et couverts dans des bacs...) Le banc réfrigéré où les boissons sont déposées ne fonctionne pas , si vous voulez une bière fraîche, il faut la demander au bar.. Direction le buffet , les plats chauds sont clairement les restes de midi. Nous étions au restaurant à 18h et les plats étaient presque vides et secs....bref pas frais.. Le buffet froid reste plus appétissant malgré quelques associations hasardeuses ( champignon farcis au bleu..) mais à 26€ le kilo de salade ...( Oui votre assiette est pesée) Et pour finir en beauté vous avez le droit de débarrasser vous même votre assiette et vos couverts.... ambiance cantine jusqu'au bout. Bref si vous avez la nostalgie de la cantine mais en version végétarienne c'est une bonne adresse sinon passez votre chemin

Ich war am Wochenende das erste Mal da und begeistert. Die Buffetauswahl ist riesig und ein großer Teil der Speisen nicht nur vegetarisch, sondern vegan. So kam ich auch auf meine Kosten. Die einzelnen Gerichte sind super abgeschmeckt, jedes schmeckt schon für sich allein gut. Pluspunkte gibt es außerdem für eine extra Toilette für alle Menschen und das Engagement für Ukraine-Flüchtlinge.

Emplacement charmant et accueil agréable. Repas du soir vers 17h30 sur le retour du centre du pays. Nous nous sommes régalés du buffet de salades, des salades raffinés avec herbes et épices, et avons mis un point d’orgue à ce repas pris dans la cour devant la fontaine et l’église avec une tranche de gâteau divin. Bravo au restaurateurs.

Sehr leckeres Essen mit Selbstbedienung also man wählt was und wie viel man essen will (es wird dann gewogen). Schöne, ruhige Gegend nur ein paar Schritte vom Zentrum entfernt. Und der beste Käsekuchen den ich in Deutschland gegessen habe.
