A fantastic restaurant with a beautiful dining room, historic with lots of wood and tiled stoves. Beautifully set tables. The menu is very Baden-style and down-to-earth. Lovingly prepared dishes, all fresh. You can always taste the difference in the delicious sauces. Super-committed service staff and an owner and chef who comes to the table for small talk. Warm hospitality where you feel truly at home. Thank you for the pleasant evening.

The restaurant with its garden restaurant is beautifully situated. I can't comment on the rooms, as we were only there for dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very accommodating (a bee flew into an apple juice at our table, but it was immediately replaced with a new one). We'd be happy to come back.

A very nice restaurant with lots of great dishes. We only ate there, not stayed overnight. Great, super friendly staff, great food. A bit more expensive, but the portions were generously sized. Definitely worth the money. The chef comes to the tables and is happy to accommodate requests. Be sure to make a reservation!!!

Excellent food, friendly and attentive service, even with children. It's also a place steeped in tradition. The prices are high, but that's just how it is in Freiburg.

No recommendation for new guests! Unfortunately, our telephone requests regarding seating were not taken into account. As new customers we cannot recommend this restaurant. It quickly became apparent that we were treated more like second-class guests. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in a room with no other guests present while the other room gradually filled up. During the entire meal, our tables were constantly being rearranged and re-set for the next day, which unfortunately significantly disrupted the atmosphere. The food was okay, but unfortunately not appropriate for the high prices. The price-performance ratio is definitely not given here. We will no longer visit this restaurant and especially advise new guests against it. It's a shame that so much money is left there for it.

Went there to eat, generally very good cuisine, but I personally missed the individual touch of the dishes. Hard to describe, standard, extremely well cooked, probably sums it up best. Given the price level, I would have expected something different, one or two surprising nuances. In addition, we also had a special request in the kitchen that was lost. But the most important thing, a cozy evening with very good food, would definitely come back again at any time, but in my opinion it's unfortunately not (yet?) enough to give it 5 stars.

The best German cuisine I have experienced in years. Never eaten such tender meat. The atmosphere is beautiful and rustic, as was often the case in the Black Forest back then. Really only recommended!

Very tasty Baden cuisine, you can also find classic "old" dishes like roulades with savoy cabbage puree - super tasty!!!

Beautiful, rustic inn, reservations are definitely recommended. Parking spaces in front of the house, quality of the food A1, cola-wheat perfect mixing ratio. Service quick and friendly, clean toilets, no complaints!

We had our wedding reception at Gasthaus Zum Kreuz and couldn't be happier! From the initial planning with Michael and Becki to the implementation, the team was professional, warm and incredibly attentive. The beautiful location offered just the right atmosphere – for the exuberant celebration afterwards. The food was absolutely excellent, many of our guests particularly praised it and wanted to dust off the recipes afterwards :D – regional, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The decoration and service were also perfectly tailored to our wishes. We felt well looked after and every moment was simply unforgettable. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful day! We'd love to come back!

Stylish, rustic restaurant, piccobello well-kept guest rooms, very friendly, attentive service and wonderfully delicious food. As soon as we are in the area again we will definitely come back, it was a very successful holiday discovery for us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've eaten there regularly since I was little, the food tastes great and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the menu is very meat-heavy with only one vegetarian “alibi dish”. The rest of the menu makes such a creative impression that I'm sure that Mr. Hug and the other chefs could conjure up one or two wonderful vegan dishes on the menu, then it would immediately be 5 stars.

I can't rate the room, I was only eating as a guest. The food was great. Large portions, enough even without a starter 😄 It could have been a little smaller and perhaps a little cheaper. A rustic interior and yet very comfortable. Super nice service, who was always very attentive to make you happy. Can only recommend it.

Very high-quality dishes from Baden cuisine with delicacies from the region, always freshly and generously prepared. The ambience is stylish and cozy in the dining room, and very relaxing in the beer garden under the large linden tree. The hosts and staff are always friendly, very accommodating and warm. We always feel welcome here, whether at family celebrations, dinner for two or with friends, or even spontaneously via “Kreuz-to-go” - always a pleasure.
