Mr Döner Güterbahnhof in Freiburg im Breisgau

I've been there twice, and both times I've been completely disappointed. The staff are unfriendly, and I seriously wonder how they can possibly maintain any hygiene standards. One of the employees wasn't even wearing proper shoes and greeted me in his pajamas – absolutely unprofessional! The food was also a complete disaster. I simply can't understand how this place is still in business.

Disastrous service! You order a doner kebab and the doner man just does whatever he wants.

Food poisoning, vomiting, diarrhea, fever.

We also had a nasty case of food poisoning after our last visit; it was really bad.

We've been here several times before and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, last Friday someone got food poisoning, either from the salad or the yogurt sauce. Five people had problems with the yufka – pizza was fine. When I read that others had the same thing two days earlier, oh dear.

On October 24th, my colleagues and I ordered 5 yufka dishes, and everyone got food poisoning. Never again!

On October 22nd, we ordered three Yufkas, which we received, but also three times with severe food poisoning. We used to be regular customers, which, in retrospect, disgusts me a bit.

Food poisoning lasted for days after the Yufka. My stomach emptied several times over the next few days. I couldn't eat or drink anything because everything immediately sought its way back out. I was close to having to go to the hospital. The others who ate there with me felt the same way. Never again!

We ate there with our class – unfortunately, many of us got food poisoning afterward. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

The doner kebab bun tasted like an undercooked pre-baked roll. Also, the music was too loud, which was extremely inappropriate given the number of families with children there, and we were bombarded with advertisements. No thanks.

Traveling from the United States. They were very friendly and accommodating not speaking the language. Food was AMAZING ❤️😋

I ordered a kebab to go, but unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. I asked for everything to be put in, but in the end, there was only yogurt sauce; perhaps they forgot the spicy sauce. This made the taste pretty bland and boring. Overall, nothing special—I wouldn't order it again.

Great tasting yufka, fair price

The food was okay, but nothing special—the yufka, kebab, and pizza were rather average. I found it very disappointing that a small yufka for my child, which only contained a small amount of meat, was charged as a "full portion" at €8.50. Given the prices, the rather mediocre cleanliness, and obvious hygiene deficiencies (smeared tables, not really clean floor, dirty restrooms, and empty hand soap dispensers), I only give it two stars.

I ordered a Jumbo Dürüm, which was supposed to come with fries. Instead, I got a salad and fries Dürüm for €9! The nerve! I'll never go back to that juice bar and advise you not to either. Go for a Leberkässe sandwich instead. The service is also very unfriendly; they don't even ask how you want your kebab.

Our visit to Mr Döner was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were met not with a greeting, but with visible annoyance from three staff members who seemed more bothered by our presence than interested in serving us. There was no welcome, no eye contact, no courtesy—just an uncomfortable atmosphere that made us feel like we were intruding. The döner itself was dry and lacked flavor, and the loud, jarring oriental disco music only added to the sense of chaos and discomfort. Throughout the visit, the staff's attitude remained indifferent at best, if not outright unfriendly—even towards our 2.5-year-old toddler, who was completely ignored when he tried to hand over his empty glass. When it came time to pay, I mentioned we had two Ayrans, yet instead of simply taking my word, the staff member asked my wife again—as if he didn’t trust my response. This was not only unnecessary, but also disrespectful. At no point did the person serving us make any attempt to engage, explain, or connect. There was no sign of care or effort, just a detached presence that seemed like he neither enjoyed his job nor cared about the customers—or the business. I do not believe this individual is the owner, nor does he seem to have any interest in whether the restaurant thrives. The attitude projected was one of disinterest, perhaps even resentment. If working in hospitality feels burdensome, I would genuinely recommend seeking another profession. Customer service requires basic respect and a minimum level of human decency—neither of which were present during our visit. Sad to say, but this experience left a poor impression. Hopefully, the management reflects on how staff behavior directly affects the reputation and long-term success of any business.

I'm pretty sure this kebab shop is run by culinary gods themselves. The first bite almost took my soul out of my body – in the best way! My stomach gave a standing ovation and I cried when the last bite was gone. If I could, I would give sixteen stars and rent my apartment right next to it. Absolute taste explosion with the risk of addiction – Mr. Döner, marry me!

Great kebab, delicious, fresh and great, kind and nice staff.

Pide with grilled vegetables… the grilled vegetables consisted of eggplant and old fries… tastelessly dry and absolutely unsatisfactory…

A really great kebab shop! The service was exceptional - very courteous and attentive. Our kebab was even brought to the table, the dishes were cleared away and we asked whether everything was tasty. Particularly positive: Our requests for double meat and extra crusty bread were fulfilled without any problems. That's how it should be! The food was fresh, tasty and completely successful. Definitely worth recommending – I’d love to come back!

The kebab is great, it's hard to find one like that in Polish, the chicken is great even just before closing time, nicely seasoned, the proportions are perfect, the guys are honest and say something in English, I recommend it!

Unfortunately the food is far too salty. Doner meat is like minced meat. Chopped extremely small and fries is green. I asked if they had tzatziki and they said just yogurt, which is great. We got mayo. Indian friendliness received, so nothing special. In Germany it was even considered unfriendly. Ambiance is standard

Pizza salami with extra cheese and sauce 13€!! The extra cheese cost €3!! Firstly, it's way too expensive, and secondly, it's not real cheese. I'm assuming it's some kind of analog cheese because it didn't taste like anything. Either you should label something like that or not offer pizza. Regarding the price again, just way too expensive and too small. It's better to go to an Italian restaurant, where the pizza costs the same and you get real cheese!!! Never again.

Plastic parts in the kebab meat, incompetent employees

I have been here many times with many friends and we have always received a warm welcome. The food is great, in summer you can also sit outside in the courtyard and there is always enough space. Unfortunately you can only pay by card from €10 onwards, but we often just join forces.

Was great We set up with 40 people and everyone ate well and were very satisfied. Food was good and the shop is very nice.

Underground. Price-performance is miserable. For 7.50 you get 3 lukewarm falafels and 150 grams of iceberg lettuce with 2 tomato pieces.

What a great shop, great service, friendly guys working and man the Yufka was one very special one! Loved it and would visit the shop again n again!

This is my favorite kebab in Freiburg and also the one in Zähringen, the mr: are simply world class and can only be recommended

The Dürüms there are very tasty😋

First the good things first. It's easy to sit there, it looks okay and you can also sit outside. But now the negative. I don't know what they mean by a good pizza in Freiburg, but definitely not something like this?! I don't understand the positive reviews about the food! I can't rate the kebab but the pizza was subpar. Any Italian would commit suicide if they had that kind of soil. Completely dry and tasteless. The toppings are sparse and the whole thing for €10! All I can say is, luckily I don't live here and I'll never have to go through that again.

The best döner and the best döner man there very polite and very friendly and the döner is just very delicious everyone there goes to this Dönerlade and there is a very good reason which is they have the best Döner awsome and you can have veggie food too so no worries

So the service was a disaster. Not friendly, not nice and not too present. There was nothing moving about the flesh either. The bread was more rubber than bread. The meat was also more fat than meat. So take an example from the competition. The ambience was not bad very well decorated. But unfortunately the food really wasn't good

Do you dice your quality? Sometimes good... I often throw away the kebab box because there are so many pieces of fat in it. Some days inedible. 9€ for 200 grams of meat? 9.5€ for a kebab!?? Impudence!!

Das Essen ist ganz lecker und frisch. Man hat auch die Wahl vegetarisch oder sogar vegan zu essen. Ob yufka oder Döner Kebab im Fladenbrot, hier kann man lecker essen.

Für 10 Euro für eine pide erwarte ich das auch am Rand Belag drauf ist .würde leider nicht satt mit der Portion

Pizza okay. Pommes ohne Mayo, da nicht vorrätig. Strohhalme nur für ein Kind da. Da nicht mehr vorrätig. Döner leider sehr sehr trocken, kaum Soße, kaum Tomate, dafür riesige Zwiebelstücke. Alles einzeln betrachtet, nicht schlimm. Mit dem folgenden Punkt aber in Summe einfach nicht cool. Der Yufkafladen war aus unsrer Sicht komplett kalt. Nach freundlicher Nachfrage meinerseits, ob er den Fladen für meine Tochter nochmals kurz warm machen könne, bekam ich erstmal nur schlecht gelaunte Kommentare als Antwort: z.B. wurde mir gesagt, ich habe eben ne kalte Hand. Er hat es dann nach einigen Schimpftiraden doch netterweise erwärmt. Deswegen noch zwei Sterne für den Service. Vom Mr Döner im Stühlinger und in Zähringen bin ich eigentlich sehr gute Qualität gewohnt, hier heute leider nicht. Vielleicht war's aber einfach nur der falsche Tag oder Moment.

Viele leckere vegetarische Gerichte zum normalen Preis. Essen wurde schnell und warm zum Platz gebracht.

Auf meine Frage, ob man auch mit Karte zahlen könnte, warf der Kassierer einen Blick in meinen Geldbeutel und sah dass dort Bargeld war. Er hat dann impliziert ich sollte mit Bargeld zahlen wenn ich Bargeld dabei habe. Man könne aber auch mit Karte zahlen. Das Essen war lecker.

Hab gerade mein bestes yufka in freiburg gegessen ! Finde es auch ganz toll das zum einwickeln keine alufolie verwendet wird Bin sehr positiv überrascht....... Es ist sauber und das Personal ist freundlich Macht bitte weiter so !!! 👍

Das Essen ist lecken und hier kann man nichts sagen. Aber zur Mittagszeit geh ich nicht mehr hin. Das Zeitmanagement ist unter aller Sau und es kann nicht sein, dass man über 25 Minuten für einen Yufka warten muss. Tipp lasst den Blödsinn mit den Piepsern und arbeitet eure Kunden ordentlich ab. Selbst als der Piepser gepiept hat, war der Yufka nicht fertig. Also wirklich da müsst ihr echt dran arbeiten!!!

Kleiner und übersichtlicher Laden, macht alles einen guten Eindruck. Preislich ist es etwas höher, dafür war das Essen auch lecker, ob es dadurch qualitativ hochwertiger ist, sei dahin gestellt 😅 Wir hatten einen Thunfisch Pizza, Pide mit Sucuk und einen Döner. Alles war lecker, Sucuk hätte gern etwas intensiver sein können. Bisschen Pizzagewürz auf der Pizza verleiht oft auch wunder. Döner war gut, ausreichend groß nur könnte das Fleisch etwas wärmer sein.

Professional and very friendly staff

Der Laden befindet sich in einem Neubaugebiet, umgeben von vielen Hotels, die sich hier angesammelt haben. Wir hatten 2 Döner und 1 stilles Wasser. 18€ = sehr teuer. Zudem fand ich die Dönertasche nicht besonders frisch. Deshalb nur eine eingeschränkte Empfehlung

War mal wieder in der Gegend und wollte das Essen bei Mr. Döner hier kosten. Ich hatte einen Yufka und eine Pizza zum mitnehmen. Ich hätte auch noch eine Pommes genommen, aber die dünnen Dinger wie bei Maces mag ich überhaupt nicht. Das Angebot ist schön und übersichtlich. Der Yufka für 8€ und Pizza für 8€, da sollte man etwas erwarten können. Es war Beides leider nur mittelmäßig.

Echt leckerer Döner, habe mir ein Falloumi Yufka bestellt. Der war echt super lecker und quasi auch gesund, ich hatte nicht mal Bauchschmerzen richtig gut.

Essen super, Personal bei uns freundlich und aufmerksam. Schlechte Bewertung gibt es immer aber trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen! 👍🏻

Fleischprodukte sehr fein, nur waren beim letzten Mal auf dem Yufka Chili mehr Jalapeños und irgendwie gab es eine andere schärfere Soße. Preis ist teuer aber ok was ich bisher gegessen habe. Wenn die Qualität konstant bleibt, darf es auch was kosten. Nette Bedienung aber sonst sehr ruhig. Manchmal nicht klar wer da für was zuständig ist. Alles ist sauber im Thekenbereich und auch an den Tischen. Mir ist halt nur nicht klar wo man die Tablets hinstellen soll wenn man dort gegessen hat und fertig ist. Nen Wagen gibt's leider nicht wo man alles rein räumen könnte. Die WCs sind der Hammer. Entweder teilweise Schrott oder nicht ganz fertig gebaut. Zugang zum Stromverteilerkasten im Männerklo vorhanden. Bin leider kein Elektriker, sonst hätte ich mal was ausprobiert. Spültaster an dem WCs teilweise nicht montiert. Wasserhahn geht sofort aus, wenn man den Knubbel nicht gedrückt hält. Das heißt man kann sich immer nur eine Pfote waschen oder stellt seinen Fuß drauf. Aber sieht halt doof aus, wenn jemand anderes rein kommt.

Durch Zufall entdeckt, aber eine sehr gute Überraschung. ausgezeichneter Döner. sehr schöne Dekoration, Hintergrundmusik. Mit freundlicher Genehmigung des Servers. DANKE

Super leckerer Döner, Aber leider hatte ich 2 mal Aluminium Stücke im Döner. Ich weiß nicht wie die da reinkommen, da der Döner nur mit Papier umwickelt ist. Ich hab mich bisschen selber erkundigt und glaube das es daran liegt das ihr euere Aluminiumfolie überm Salat rupft. Wie auf dem Bild… Ich komme trotzdem wieder, aber bitte schaut das ihr da bisschen vorsichtiger seid.

Geschmacklich nichts besonderes. Habe so einen Döner schon x mal woanders gegessen. Aber solide. Leider passt die Preis/Leistung überhaupt nicht. 7€ für einen Standart Döner finde ich schon krass. Das Personal war unfreundlich.

Einer der besseren Dönerläden in Freiburg. Ein wenig teurer, dafür sehr gute Qualität und extrem viel Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten.
