We spontaneously made a reservation for the Advent lunch and were very happy with everything. The duck in particular was really delicious! Since we were there at lunchtime - otherwise the restaurant is only open in the evening - our children were there. The service staff also looked after the two boys in a very friendly manner.

I had lunch at ALvis restaurant today and would like to share my experience. Unfortunately there were some weaknesses in the service and in the kitchen that spoiled the overall impression. The start: At the beginning, dry bread was served, without any side dishes. Only when the bread was almost empty was sour cream added, which was probably part of it from the beginning. Although I was offered more bread, it would be ideal if both were on the table at the same time. Appetizer: I ordered a red deer consommé. The topping consisted of goose meat, which I wouldn't have expected in a deer consommé, and a ravioli with chestnut filling that was completely raw. What was particularly disappointing was that the consommé was made with port wine, despite my express wish not to have any alcohol in the meal. Although I was later given an alcohol-free alternative, this mistake shouldn't have happened. Main course: The venison medallion was well seasoned, although overcooked, making it taste liver-like. The parsnip foam served with it harmonized well, but there was no sauce whatsoever, which made the dish dry overall. Drinks: To meet the minimum spend of my booking through The Fork, I ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice. After 15 minutes the information came that it could not be prepared - without any further explanation. Instead I opted for a Coke Zero, but was given a Diet Coke with the comment that Zero had been drunk. Such communication problems significantly reduce the guest experience. Desserts: The dessert menu was disappointing for guests with particular preferences. All desserts contained either alcohol or poppy seeds, which severely limits the choice. Conclusion: My visit to ALvis was mixed. There is definitely potential, but the service and coordination should be improved. The kitchen could also put more care into the preparation and presentation of the food. Despite the weaknesses, I will give the restaurant another chance and am excited to see whether the criticism is accepted. Overall rating: 3/5 stars.

Food was ok. Ordered the impressive sounding all-(4)cheese pizza but a bland single cheese version was produced. When I politely complained (no blue cheese etc), the somewhat aggressive senior waitress refused to acknowledge the truth and blamed the chef. Wine was hugely overpriced. No tip from us.

Ich habe mir sagen lassen, dass dieses Tomasa eines von mehreren "Tomasa-Lokalen" in Berlin ist. Hoffentlich werden die anderen besser geführt! Denn außer dass dies ein hübsches Lokal ist, muss man sich ansonsten nur ärgern. Über einen Service, der teilweise völlig unangemessen übertrieben Freundlichkeit spielt, ansonsten sich aber deutlich authentischer mit Kollegen und auch Gästen lange unterhält. Andere Servicekräfte ignorieren komplett. Achja, das Essen: kleine Portionen, überzogene Preise, geschmacklich fade!
