Krokodil in Berlin

We have been to the Krokodil many times, including today. We just really like it there. The food tastes great and we always like the ambience by the water in Köpenick.

Really nice place, the quality of the food is really good and the personal is really friendly and provide good service. The only downside is that it's a bit pricy.

We celebrated our wedding in the banquet hall. The ambience is very nice, the tables were set as requested, the service was TOP TOP throughout the evening, and the food was great!

Yes, but arriving by car 🚗 is difficult because parking spaces are hard to find.

I didn't eat, I just went to the beach for an ice bath. Since the ambience was good and rustic and the service was super nice, I'll definitely come back again.

Food and service quite okay, price/performance is also just fine. However, we found it quite impossible that if you want to pay, just the amount is said, without an invoice for a short examination, be it on paper or digital ....and no, that wasn't a "misunderstanding" but rather a real experience.

Very nice, quaint restaurant right on the water. We got married here 1.5 years ago and have loved coming here ever since. The service is excellent and the food is always seasonal and fresh.

In September 2024 my husband and I were invited to a wedding here. The location is incredibly beautiful, both outside and inside. One star for that. The staff was also very friendly and quick. A second star for that. However, the buffet was run of the mill, in terms of taste and aesthetics. Price-performance ratio didn't match at all. I know the price the bride and groom paid per person. But the purest catastrophe was this: The wedding started at 5 p.m. and was planned by the organizer until around 2 a.m. The celebration took place indoors and outdoors on the terrace. It was pretty hot that day. At around 10 p.m. we were asked to go inside because of the noise. All doors and windows were closed. Inside, the sauna temperatures were inhumane. Everyone was soaking wet. Even those who just sat. Only those who smoke were allowed out. Inside, no air conditioning, no fan, absolutely nothing. The air was still. I was pregnant, not smoking of course, and about to pass out, went out alone, sat on a bench and got some fresh air. Less than a minute later, an employee runs after me and asks me to go back inside. I'm only allowed to stay outside if I have a smoke. I had to have a really long discussion to stay out. She was less interested in the fact that I was pregnant. And this happened a few more times. Every time I sat down alone outside without making a sound, someone would follow me and the discussion would start all over again. To the owner of the restaurant: Don't host weddings at your restaurant in the summer if you're not prepared to provide humane temperatures indoors by investing in air conditioning and/or fans. You can't lock your guests in in the heat and only let them out briefly when they want a smoke. It was a wedding with about 60 people. The room is not particularly large. The oxygen was gone in no time. Under no circumstances would I advise anyone here to have their summer wedding at this restaurant.

Great restaurant. We were there for brunch and will be back. Everything fresh and delicious. Even if the restaurant was a bit full, the dishes were regularly replenished. Perfect for us for brunch 😀

The most beautiful spot in Köpenick. It will probably always remain so. For so many years.

A cozy and tasty Christmas brunch! Four of us were there on Christmas Day and were able to feast on duck breast, red, green and Brussels sprouts, dumplings and gravy (of course there was also a cold buffet). The brunch was also great for vegetarians. Everything is fresh and homemade and always replenished. The only suggestion for improvement: please no packaged jam and butter - that doesn't suit you. The price of €38.50 per person was absolutely justified and we would be happy to come back. 💚-Thank you also for the beautiful ambience and the very friendly and considerate service!

We were able to celebrate our birthday at the Krokodil on Sunday. From the planning to the great food, we felt our guests were very well looked after. The food tastes very good, the service is great. I would particularly like to emphasize that special requests are dealt with competently and professionally. The crocodile is particularly recommended for people with celiac disease. Highly recommended and the atmosphere is also very appealing. Good service, everything is fine. Only the parking situation on site is very limited. Is a small thoroughfare with residents' parking spaces or no-parking zones. Parking nearby is relatively rare and you can easily plan a long walk in the evening.

We went for Sunday brunch. Great selection of food, great ambience and friendly, courteous service. Everything was just right all around. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

We were there for breakfast brunch. The food was very tasty and was constantly topped up. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. It seems like it's fun to work there, at least that's the impression the service staff gives. We will be happy to come back.

The Krokodil is a great restaurant and is located right on the water. It's a little hidden in a residential area. Parking is not ideal. The atmosphere is rustic and not too overwhelming. The service girls were very attentive and accommodating. The food is super delicious. There is a fairly limited and constantly changing menu, but there is something for everyone. We'd love to come back.

Really great, cozy restaurant with great service and very good food. Despite the rather clear menu, there was enough choice for vegetarians, and desserts were also great. Our dog was also immediately given a drinking bowl. You have to park somewhere in the area, we were lucky with a parking space nearby. We'd love to come back!

Unverschämte Preise für mieses Essen: Beispiele: "Penne mit Pfifferlingen": Penne weich gekocht, lauwarm serviert, fade und geschmacklose Soße, "Fischstäbchen": nur 3 mickrige Stäbchen und ein Klacks geschmackloser Kartoffelbrei : "spanischer Vorspeisenteller" 2 hauchdünne Eckchen Käse, 3 hauchdünne Scheibchen Serrano, etwas Ruccola und Zucchini drunter...das wars für 15€...dazu: Essen kam getrennt. Erst die Kinder, dann ca. 45 min später das für die Erwachsenen. Bis auf die tolle Location ein totaler Reinfall für enorm viel Geld.

Reserved a table six months ago, but it was already occupied for brunch. We were offered a seat at the cat table or outside. Very embarrassing for us with our visit and not the first time that a reservation was canceled. No, thank you very much.

We celebrated our wedding in the ballroom on August 16, 2024. It was beautiful! The entire team was always open to questions and had a solution for everything. They provided incredible support with the preparation and helped with everything. Without them, I believe that nothing would have happened in the time we planned. The service was great, very friendly and we were always very well looked after. The food was incredibly delicious, we have heard so many times how good the food tastes and people rave about it every day! When there was a small problem with a few people, it was taken care of immediately. The hotel rooms are very nice and located directly above the ballroom, so we only had to go up a flight of stairs or take the elevator, which was really great, especially after the party. All in all, I can only say thank you for everything and absolutely recommend it! 🤍

Go in the afternoon, when the sun is out you will experience great light. Right on the water, friendly staff and good seating. Two vegan dishes on the menu (soup or pasta). Gladly more.

Service was ok, I also think the ambience is quite nice, except for the fact that the women's toilet is on the first floor, the men's toilet is somewhere in the corner, and the poor people have to sit there. One toilet for all men is definitely not enough. It's hard to get through anywhere. Now to the food: all warm dishes were only lukewarm, the goose leg was tough as leather and of course not really warm. The kale tasted like nothing. Only the cheapest food on the cold buffet. All that was missing was hunting and liver sausage. Mozzarella of the worst kind, paired with abnormal Dutch tomatoes. An imposition! Conclusion: an absolute 5, not recommended! What was particularly hard for me was that the respondents around us were "again" very satisfied. What else do you have to be used to in order to consider this level to be good? I'm actually shocked at how little people are satisfied with. It's different too It is impossible to explain how this type of gastronomy can work. A clear case for Frank Rosin

Very good food, friendly service and a fantastic ambience

The place is very nice, could be tidier, the chairs with the thin cushions were very uncomfortable, the staff was friendly but disorganized, we waited 2 hours for our main course, drinks only when asked, the waiter came to us stupidly when we asked after an hour and 30 I asked for a minute ????the food was ok for the price, no high prices, there is still room for improvement. But the waitress apologized and gave us something. We have to make some compromises today but I won't be coming back, it wasn't that convincing despite the beautiful view

A really nice place with a great view of the Dahme. I think that also benefits the restaurant a lot. You have to plan a lot of time here. It can take a good 45 minutes until the order is accepted and the drink arrives. The staff is friendly and helpful. The guest service can always be improved. The baked potatoes we ordered were more cold than warm. There was also a dollop of quark. The turkey in strips was turkey in cubes and as a side dish there was some leaf lettuce with tomato and sprouts. Mini portion! And all of this for just under 13 euros. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here at all. Great location, great view, but I'd rather eat somewhere else in Köpenick :)

For us it was a real surprise in Köpenick and one of the best brunches in Berlin: The selection at the buffet was impressive, the offering wasn't too big, but really varied. Everything was tasty and well done. The location is great: we were there when the weather was nice and sat outside with a view of the Spree. The service was friendly, uncomplicated and attentive. As I said: For us, one of the best brunches in Berlin.

Very friendly service with a real Berlin snout. The food was very tasty. The restaurant is very quiet, right on the river. Ok, the neighboring street is probably the main access road for him into the hospital. But that didn't bother us. The outdoor seating is pleasantly shaded by trees.

what a cute oasis by the water that you can't even see from the street! The food was beautifully prepared and tasted excellent (Spanish starter plate, chicken salad with mixed fruit, beef carpaccio). The service was attentive and very personable and was able to respond kindly to our special requests when it came to choosing a seat, despite many reservations. And even the thunderstorm at dessert time couldn't cause any unrest and all the guests moved inside and continued to have a lovely evening! Gladly again!

Our wedding at the Krokodil was simply fantastic... the free wedding ceremony on the beach, the service, the communication, the drinks and of course the barbecue buffet. All of our guests were thrilled. We can just say THANK YOU!!!!

I was invited to a wedding. The Krokodil restaurant has taken over the food supply. Everything was very tasty, the service was top and the location, right on the Spree, was really nice.

Four of us ate there. The service was friendly, but forgot drinks or brought the wrong ones. The portions were too small even for us women. The price-performance ratio really wasn't in proportion here, for example my friend ordered a salad without turkey. She is a vegetarian. No alternative was offered (?!) or the portion was otherwise adjusted. As a “surprise” the salad WITH turkey appeared on the bill. This was reduced after complaints. All in all we were disappointed, even the beautiful view was of no use.

Because of the nice weather, you felt like you were in a train station. The door kept opening and customers had to be turned away for seats outside. The baked potato I ordered had probably been kept warm for a while and hardly came out of its shell. Nevertheless, value for money was ok.

Borrowed something hidden. Directly on the Dahme, with an adjacent swimming area. Ideal for families. However, this also makes it a bit noisy on the terrace when there is bathing activity. Food very good and tasteful. Offered in a visually appealing manner. Seating is a bit too uncomfortable for long periods of time. Mostly fully booked, so very crowded and also loud.

We were really looking forward to the afternoon, having a drink and eating ice cream. Which would actually be possible in this beautiful place. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate with cream, the cream is sour! After informing the waitress, it was changed immediately and exchanged, but without any apology. What makes me very sad is not the situation that such a thing could happen, but rather how the matter was handled and I had the feeling that I was just being dismissed. An apology might have been enough. I'm still not feeling better. I spent the whole night on the toilet and immediately threw up an hour later.

Wir waren hier zum Feiertagsbrunch und ich muss sagen, besser geht es nicht. Das Personal immer freundlich, das Buffet mit kalten und warmen Speisen der Hammer, vielseitig und super lecker. Alle Speisen wurden immer wieder und sehr schnell nachgelegt. Dazu kommt noch die 1A-Lage am Wasser. Wir werden die Zeit im "Krokodil" in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten, auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und gern weiterempfehlen

We celebrated our wedding with 55 guests in the hall in May. All wishes could be discussed and taken into account. We couldn't have imagined a better location. It was also so practical that we and our guests could stay overnight. Completely care free. Beach, terrace, jetty, sunset

My experience as a wedding photographer at Krokodil am Köpenick was simply great! We came without a reservation and the nice waitress even had a table for us on the terrace. Caipirinha both with and without alcohol were good, as was the asparagus salad and the waffle afterwards...can definitely do it again...

Clear 5 out of 5. Beautiful location on the banks of the Dahme. The selection of dishes is a bit smaller but very tasty. Lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer. Staff super friendly. It's best to come with a reservation.

A restaurant with a beautiful view. The menu is very diverse with great dishes. The sweet potato and apple soup was wonderful and a culinary experience. Likewise the bread dumplings on asparagus ragout - a delight! My son also liked the spaghetti from the children's menu. The staff greeted us warmly as soon as we walked in. Our service was very courteous and warm. She even brought all the Bionades available to the table so my son could choose one. We will definitely come back and thank you for the great dinner. We felt very comfortable!

DISAPPOINTMENT with a beautiful view of the water!!! It should be a small, cozy birthday meal, preferably with a flower and a candle on the table! Unfortunately, the lady who served us was somehow out of place and unfocused! After asking twice, the food came after 1.5/2 hours!!!! The “constant answer” from the waitress: I have to ask! The food is ok! Nothing more, nothing less! A pity!

Went for brunch on Easter Monday. Reservation is very easy by email. Buffet was great, everything your heart could desire. Breakfast, hot food and desserts, everything was offered in abundance. The service was very friendly and attentive. The brunch we booked included a table inside and a table outside on the beautiful terrace right on the water. It was a very nice experience. Always my pleasure.

We've been there a few times. The food is good. You can also sit outside perfectly. If you want to sit inside, you should know that it is already quite dark. The staff were very nice. 3 of us ordered the same dish. Funny that the meat was different sizes for all three. One of them was only allowed to be a little hungry 😅
