I celebrated my 50th birthday with around 40 guests in the Riad Mediterranean Genuswelten - and it was simply a perfect evening! I received excellent advice in advance: professionally, cordially and with a real sense of what would suit me and my guests. The entire organization went smoothly and I felt like I was in the best hands from the first moment.
On the evening itself, everything was just right. The ambience is stylish, warm and inviting – ideal for a special celebration. The food was an absolute highlight: fresh, varied, wonderfully seasoned and lovingly prepared. Every single course was a pleasure!
A huge compliment to the entire team: attentive, friendly, helpful and always present - without ever being intrusive. You can immediately tell that the work here is done with passion and genuine hospitality. Thanks to you, this special day became an unforgettable experience – for me and for all my guests.
I can only warmly recommend Riad Mediterranean Genuswelten and will definitely come back. Thank you very much for everything!
The positive thing is that the selection at the buffet was very large and freshly prepared. Great value for money for brunch. The service is scarce, despite the fact that there are many people behind the bar. I didn't like the ambience at the front tables in the bistro area, you sit next to the Edeka cash registers and it's loud. That might be fine for a quick coffee but less so for a Sunday brunch. I find sharing the Edeka customer toilets to be of limited use, as they are unfortunately not really well maintained and are a bit far away. Overall, I would recommend the brunch because of the large buffet, but if you want a leisurely brunch then not so much.
The five of us wanted to enjoy a nice dinner here. Unfortunately it wasn't nearly what we wanted. There was no coffee because the machine was broken. Can happen. But I found it strange that there was no milk with the Turkish mocha (as an alternative) because it wasn't available. I was also told somewhat flippantly that I would be the first to ask for milk...
The fish dishes were served with pide cut into strips as a side dish. There was no alternative. We found it questionable given the prices were sometimes 21 euros. The salad as a main course for 10.50 consisted of finely chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and onions and actually 2 thin rings of pepper and some sheep's cheese. The whole thing was swimming in a boring vinegar/oil mixture. We also got unfiltered oily frying fumes from the kitchen where we were sitting, so we had to flee. Our conclusion: Unfortunately not again!
Went there as a couple and were very excited.
I've never had such a portion of pasta before, very generous and the taste was good too (Penne Formaggi).
The two of us paid a total of €30 for 2 drinks and 2 meals.
Which is pretty cheap.
The two of us ate there and we weren't satisfied.
It started with the drinks. Instead of an alcohol-free Carlsberg, I received a naturally cloudy Carlsberg.
When I looked at the menu, I noticed that everything had to be ordered. The main course (Cordonblue) only consisted of the Cordonblue with sauce. The side dishes had to be ordered. Even for my companion's dish, only the chicken with sauce was the main course. Here too, the supplement had to be ordered.
Extra requests were not addressed. I didn't want cream sauce and couldn't change it to another sauce. However, when the main course arrived the sauce was separate.
In addition, I received the sweet potato fries that I had not ordered.
The space also had a negative impact on us. The electrical system was distributed with multiple sockets. Putting so many multiple sockets together is dangerous. During the evening the electricity also goes out. Probably a result of the excessive load on a socket.
We will not visit this restaurant again. The taste of the food was okay but everything else was missing.
The restaurant is located in the city center of Aachen, just some meters away from the Cathedral. It was clean and tidy. Very friendly staff, very good English spoken and fast service. I tried the Vegetarian Risotto with Parmesan Cheese, it was tasty and in a good quantity. A nice restaurant to try in the center of Aachen.
Very good cuisine, whether Indian or Italian, you can tell that the chef has been in Italy for years and loves and masters Italian cuisine and Indian cuisine and so on. Always delicious, we always enjoy coming here.
Insanely bad food. Somewhere under the dry meat skewer, yoghurt sauce, rice and bread mixed beyond recognition to form a mushy mass... great for babies, just disgusting for everyone else. And also expensive. impudence
I celebrated my birthday there with 31 guests. Everyone, really everyone, loved the food and the service! The front guest room, which Mr. Hasan made available to us, is also very comfortable. There is a star deduction for the pretty worn seat covers, which will soon be replaced.
