The staff was overwhelmed, and hardly anyone spoke German. The food was okay. The buffet selection is very limited for allergy sufferers and isn't labeled. There are no small bowls for jam and honey. Drinks take forever to get.

I just wanted to get a Leberkässemmel (meatloaf sandwich). Someone called out to me, "One more minute." I stood there for 10 minutes, and the employee said he had other things to do. He didn't care. He wasn't in the mood. Apparently, they don't want to make money there. There were three other people in line with me, and we all left and got a Leberkässemmel from the bakery. You should train your staff and teach them "The customer is king." I will get my Leberkässemmel from somewhere else in the future.

We visited this restaurant for brunch for the second time – and unfortunately, we were disappointed again. Food: The selection was okay, but the hot dishes were mostly lukewarm to cold. For the price, the value for money is unfortunately not right. Atmosphere: We were seated next to a discarded refrigerator, which didn't exactly contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The chairs were also heavily stained and looked unkempt. Service: Despite a reservation made three weeks in advance, we didn't get the reserved table – for the second time. We also had to wait over an hour for our drinks, which is absolutely unacceptable. Management: The manager showed no understanding or consideration for the situation. The interaction was cold, distant, and not very customer-oriented. Conclusion: After two negative experiences, we will not be visiting this restaurant again. It's a shame – the potential is there, but the service, organization, and customer interaction need to improve fundamentally.

We traveled all the way from Mannheim, and it was more than worth it! At Das Bergius, hospitality is at its finest. The selection was incredibly diverse – and every single dish was a taste experience! You can tell right away: The food is cooked with love and served with heart. A very special thank you goes to the owner – what a wonderful person! She welcomed us with such warmth, as if we were old friends. Her cordiality, her attention to detail, and her passion for her job are palpable at every moment. You can see the love for her job in her eyes – and that's exactly what makes a visit to Das Bergius so special. We will definitely be back and can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who not only wants to eat well but also wants to feel completely at home. Thank you very much

A fantastic brunch with a huge selection (breakfast + pizza/steak/fish). Good coffee. Drinks are paid for separately, but really great for the price. We're deducting two stars because the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. Some of the counters/displays were very dirty, and there were dirty dishes everywhere. We sat back to back in the outdoor area—but that's not Bergius's fault. The people around us simply had no manners and took up a lot of space.

Unfortunately a disappointment. It says there are vegetarian options online, but in the end there was hardly anything, and the selection of "normal" food wasn't good either. The food also looked extremely unappetizing and I think it had been sitting around for a while. Although the price isn't high, the brunch isn't worth the money. In the end, we hardly ate anything because most of the food just didn't look good. The atmosphere inside is OK, but not good at all outside. Some of the staff were friendly, but overall the service was not good. The small positives we noticed unfortunately cannot make up for the absolutely terrible food. Maybe we were just unlucky and there on a bad day.

One of us had a snail in his food. The plate was simply taken away, even though half the food was still on it. No one deigned to apologize; we just heard the arrogant staff ranting about how we shouldn't be so fussy, because the salad was "organic." So organic means unwashed? I think the two in the fancy-dress suits were the bosses; they were just condescending and spiteful. The steaks were ordered medium-rare, but they were almost cooked. Definitely not recommended; there are definitely proper steakhouses with friendly staff nearby!

The ambiance is pleasant, and the service is decent. Unfortunately, we had a live snail in one of our salads. When we informed the server, she simply responded with "Well, I wonder." In the background, other employees remarked, "It's organic, after all." Even the restaurant manager didn't apologize and was only partially interested in hearing about it. We will therefore not be going there again.

Freunde und ich waren gestern beim Abendessen dort. Schneller Service, gutes Fleisch, AUSGEZEICHNETES Preisleistungsverhältnis. Als Gruppe hatte jeder ein großes Stück Fleisch bestellt welche alle gemeinsam zu Tisch kamen und die Garsrufen wurden auch gut getroffen, obwohl medium rare nicht einfach ist. Habe mich wohl gefühlt und würde das Restaurant jedem empfehlen. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir hatten einen Gutschein für ein Tomahawk-Menü und freuten uns riesig auf das Essen. Wir waren auf der Terrasse und wurden auch schnell bedient. Vorspeise war das Tartar vom Angusrind - sehr lecker und wenn man auch noch die Beilagen berücksichtigt schon fast ein Hauptgericht. Das Tomahawk war sehr groß und wir hatten es zu zweit nicht geschafft aufzuessen. Es war Medium auf den Punkt gebraten. Dazu gab es wieder sehr üppige Beilagen. Eine Seite Salat mit Johannesbeeren und auf der anderen Seite gegrilltes Gemüse und Rosmarinkartoffeln. Alles war sehr schön hergerichtet. Der Rest wurde uns eingepackt, denn es wäre zu schade gewesen es zu entsorgen. Es wurde auch professionell gemacht. Als Nachspeise habe es ein Tiramisu, allerdings fehlte uns hier der Geschmack von Kaffee und Amreetto. Ein wichtiger Punkt, der zum Abzug in der Bewertung führt ist der Umstand, dass wir im Nachherein feststellen mussten, dass uns Zuviel Wein in Rechnung gestellt wurde. Da sollte man dann doch aufpassen!

Four of us went to Bergius for brunch today; we booked the package through Groupon. There's plenty of parking right outside. The ambiance takes a bit of getting used to, as the Edeka supermarket is in the same building; it's somewhat reminiscent of a bakery-cafeteria atmosphere. The noise level was a bit unpleasant at times when the restaurant was full. But it's nicely set up and decorated, so it's fine for me. The selection of food on offer was really large, from sausage, cheese, jam, various egg dishes, salads, vitello tonato and other Italian classics, potatoes, asparagus, cakes, other pastries, and pizza. Of course, there were also plenty of pretzels and rolls of all kinds. The food tasted okay. Nothing special, but by no means bad either; just a good average. The price-performance ratio was completely okay! All in all, it was okay, and we were all full. The service was a bit sleepy but attentive.

We had dinner there on Tuesday evening. We had pizza, salmon steak, and tagiatelle with prawns. The pizza was not good, not seasoned, and almost not cooked through. The salmon steak was incredibly fatty and, for me, not palatable. The vegetables and potatoes were swimming in oil! The tagiatelle was very bland in taste—barely seasoned. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. The service wasn't the best either. Too bad—we won't be back.

We attended the Sunday brunch with four adults and a toddler. The food distribution was very reminiscent of a cafeteria setting, where you had to wait in a long line – sometimes you even found yourself in the adjacent Edeka supermarket. Plates were difficult to access, and you had to search for them in the middle of the line. The food selection was generally very simple. Many of the baked goods, such as rolls and pretzels, looked like frozen goods. The pizza on offer was unfortunately cold. Overall, the concept gives the impression of mass processing. If you're looking for a high-quality and relaxed brunch experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this place.

Unfortunately the table we booked (we booked via OpenTabel: table on the terrace) was not possible. When I asked and said that we specifically wanted to sit outside and had booked it that way, I was just told that it wasn't possible (18 degrees, sun, Mother's Day). It's a shame otherwise we probably wouldn't have gone there. We had to wait 45 minutes for our 1 coffee and orange juice/champagne and only after repeated inquiries did someone come and take our order for the drinks. Unfortunately, the second time (that was after 2 hours) nothing was brought to us, so we had to go to the counter. But the food was very good, big selection!

The positive thing is that the selection at the buffet was very large and freshly prepared. Great value for money for brunch. The service is scarce, despite the fact that there are many people behind the bar. I didn't like the ambience at the front tables in the bistro area, you sit next to the Edeka cash registers and it's loud. That might be fine for a quick coffee but less so for a Sunday brunch. I find sharing the Edeka customer toilets to be of limited use, as they are unfortunately not really well maintained and are a bit far away. Overall, I would recommend the brunch because of the large buffet, but if you want a leisurely brunch then not so much.

Seng has a top upscale meal in the restaurant at the pick-up station are the knuckles of our dog. The meat is teeth and the crust is like a rag so the cook in the kitchen who spoils the restaurant with food can't help it that the unqualified staff at the food counter sell such unfinished meat. It's a real shame. I've complained about it to the staff several times but they think it's great. Yes, it's a shame I only eat in the restaurant because the chef is really great in contrast to them others

Were there several times but that was really the last time. Drinks and appetizers came immediately, but that was it. A 1.2kg steak medium was ordered for the main course. This came completely raw inside. The waiter took it again and 5 minutes later he came back with the steak, which was supposedly recooked, but it was still completely raw and cold. Plus, the meat was like chewing gum. 70% of the steak was returned. The dessert (mousse chocolate) was like raw cookie dough in consistency. Service disaster (the finished main course was on the table for 45 minutes until someone cleared it away). And there wasn't even anything going on in the store except for 4-5 tables. Absolutely never again. No recommendation

Service catastrophic. Starter was forgotten, you shouldn't point this out to the staff because an argument broke out in the service team, which was then brought to our table (via mutual blame within the team and also at us) while we wanted to eat in peace. Took our entire evening down. The starter and main course came at the same time because the kitchen was closing. Afterwards, the service apologized with a fresh pizza to take away, even though according to them the kitchen was already closed? Ambience much too bright, in a supermarket, toilets from the supermarket have to be used (smell like a rest stop). Most of the food was tasty, but the pasta dishes were completely overcooked.

Wir waren einige Male beim Bergius zum Essen. Bis Dato war immer alles super. Leider müssen wir in Zukunft davon absehen das Restaurant zu besuchen. Wir wurden bedauerlicherweise von einer sehr unfreundliche Restaurantleitung Telefonisch beleidig und diskriminiert. Es sind nun mal ca.14 Millionen Ausländer im Deutschland, das nicht jede einzelne die Sprache entsprechend Ihrer Vorstellung beherrscht sollte kein Grund sein die Person aufgrund dessen zu beleidigen. Sollten sie jedoch aus solche Situationen eine gewisse Überlegenheitskomplex fühlen, darf Ich sie gerne daran erinnern das Sie in der Gastgewerbe Arbeiten und entsprechend Empathie für den Gast empfinden dürfen.

We ate at Bergius a few times. Everything has always been great so far. Unfortunately we have to refrain from visiting the restaurant in the future. Unfortunately, we were insulted and discriminated against over the phone by a very unfriendly restaurant management. There are around 14 million foreigners in Germany, and the fact that not every single one of them speaks the language according to your expectations should not be a reason to insult the person because of this. However, if you feel a certain superiority complex in such situations, I would like to remind you that you work in the hospitality industry and are allowed to feel empathy for the guest.

We went to the Bergius restaurant with a group of 13 people – and it was simply great! Everyone ordered a different dish, and yet all the dishes came to the table at the same time and fresh. The ingredients were of high quality and lovingly prepared, and every dish tasted excellent. We were particularly impressed by the warm and attentive service - we felt completely at home. We recently visited the Bergius with eight people. The restaurant was already well attended and some groups with many guests had already taken their seats. Hats off to serving these many guests in a short time and in a very friendly manner with very few staff! The food was excellent for all of us and the T-bone steaks in particular were amazing. Our men were overjoyed and the quality of the meat left nothing to be desired! Thanks to the team, the kitchen and the very hard-working restaurant manager for a great evening 😉 We'll definitely be back!

Auf Nachfrage: auf der Terasse wird nicht bedient wegen Temperatur ???. Das Lokal innen war mit drei Personen besetzt. Der Kellner unfreundlich und hatte anscheinend keine Lust rauszugehen. Sind wieder gefahren. War nach ca einem Halben Jahr ein neuer Versuch. Beim letzten mal mussten wir fast 1 1/2 stunden warten auf falsches essen Ohne Entschuldigung. Nie mehr wieder. Saumäßiger Service bei eigentlich gutem Essen.

We were with a larger group (almost 30 people) and for a pre-ordered menu at Bergius. Here are the “highlights” in brief: - menu cards promised in advance were not provided - Drinks were only requested about 30 minutes after the guests arrived and then only brought with a further delay - Main courses only arrived about 2 (!!) hours after arrival, and not at the same time, so that we basically didn't eat together - promised dessert options were not available. - Service consistently annoyed to borderline unfriendly All in all: Maybe OK for a spontaneous lunch, but definitely not able to handle an order for a larger group. Too bad about the money, go somewhere else👋

We were there for Sunday brunch today, very nice reception and got a table quickly, our waitress was also very friendly. Drinks arrived quickly, there was a huge amount of cocoa, and the selection was really good, from baked goods, muesli, cheese to salmon, sausages, scrambled eggs with bacon. Everything was quickly filled up when something was empty. Tiramisu from the Italian and the little tarts were heavenly and so beautifully decorated. Stone oven pizza nice and thin and different variations. The ambience is great, only the toilets are not that well maintained, but they probably also belong to Edeka. If you have one of the inner seats you can't see the Edeka cash registers directly. We were in need of improvement here 2 years ago, but the tables from the buffet are now in the Edeka area in front of the cash registers, so there is a lot more space. I also have the feeling that the service has become more coordinated, because back then we often had to ask if we could get drinks and stood in the entrance area for a long time before we got a table. So everything got better! The food was probably so good that our neighbors had several huge portions, including plates and cutlery, hidden in their bags. This is theft and is not appropriate. We'd love to come back

You couldn't tell from Groupon that it was a restaurant in the shopping center - but the ambience was okay, considering that the tables were nicely set and you didn't notice much of the shopping going on - unless you had to go to the toilet, then you walked right past the supermarket. The service staff tried very hard, even though the restaurant was very full. We had to wait a long time for our food (a total of 45 minutes for our starter and 2 hours for the main course). It was still worth it because the food tasted really delicious. We would definitely visit the restaurant again, just probably on a quieter day.

It was our first time at Bergius for breakfast brunch. Since we came from Munich, we were almost the last ones there at around 10:15 a.m. But that was enough for a long time, since brunch lasts until 2 p.m. Peter, the restaurant manager, even gave us a really nice place by the window upon request. The latte macchiato and prosecco also came immediately. I was amazed by the amount of food to choose from, despite the later time. White sausage - 🍅 Tomato Mozz - Salmon - Horseradish - Croissants - Good pretzels - Muesli... Cavia... Pizza - Salads... Sirloin and much more. Something for everyone. The food was even refilled at 1 p.m. The waitresses were very hardworking. Peter always looked after things and was very attentive. You can tell he works with passion. Would love to come back.

The eggplant casserole was partly raw and the salad also came without any dressing. The table next door had the same dish and came to the same conclusion. The service brought the food without cutlery, so we had to wait again. Both tables gave constructive feedback on the service. The restaurant was busy and it seemed that there was a certain amount of overwhelm. We then all got a liver loaf roll from the hot counter. We should have done that straight away.

Recently I had to give the following review: The food this time was mediocre. The place was overcrowded and the echo was extremely disturbing, and conversation was only possible to a limited extent. Today I was there and found that the food (tomahawk steak) was first class, and the service was not only very good, but outstanding. Everything in view, fast, friendly and very accommodating. At the end we still had a lot of steak left over, which was happily given to us on the way and packaged well. All in all: a very successful evening. Special thanks to the staff.

We came across the restaurant through a voucher book. The ambience at the back was modern and attractive. It's still a bit annoying that it's in the shopping center and the front area is quite cold in winter. The service staff were very nice. The only thing that was forgotten was a salad, which we probably wouldn't have managed to eat after the club steak anyway. We had 3x club steak and a fillet steak. These, including the side dishes of potatoes and vegetables, were very tasty and almost perfectly fried. The prices can definitely be considered good. We would come again.

We were in the self-service area yesterday at 1:30 p.m. No more liver cheese pizza. My husband took a fried roll. The roast was so dry that it almost suffocated when eaten without a drink. I ordered kebab, but asked that the completely burnt meat be removed for now. The Asian employee did this. Then the kebab was slapped onto a plate. The meat, the 2 slices of tomato and the sauce fell onto the glass counter. And it should stay that way!!! I asked to put the kebab on another plate... no, IT was pushed from the (dirty) counter, over the edge of the plate, into the kebab. The meat was hard, completely dry, gnarly, cold, fatty and had tendons in it. The salad consisted only of stalks. Everything inedible!!! Sorry, it was mess. We asked an employee to our kl. table, opposite d. to come to the counter. He lectured us loudly and several times: the kebab was made of beef and that it was dry, unlike poultry. (The beef would have to be sliced much thinner). He turned around and continued to be bored with the Asian ladies in the messy area. No excuses. The guest tables were dirty, but private conversations took priority. We have never been presented with such a “gastronomic experience”. I left hungry. Never, never again.

I have had lunch at Bergius many times and only rate the lunch menu here. First the positive: The service is good and very friendly. About the dishes: 1) Pasta The pasta tastes okay. Not very good and by no means outstanding, but okay. Quite okay for the price and for a lunch menu. One criticism, however, is that the portions vary extremely: sometimes the plate is well filled, sometimes it is at best what is called a “magentratzerl” in Bavaria. I've mentioned this several times and nothing has changed. 2) The kebab The kebab is - even if you look at it kindly - by far one of the worst kebabs I know. The inflationary use of meat doesn't change this. The thing is simply inedible - in every respect: meat/vegetable ratio, taste of the meat, etc. Really scary 3) The pizza Standard at best - but still okay for the price. 4) The burgers The burgers are served with an almost raw meat patty as standard. See photo. Quite apart from the fact that eating almost raw minced meat is generally not recommended, the least you should do is ask the guest how he would like his meat. In any case, I enjoyed the last burger for days afterwards. Finally: The staff is accommodating, polite and nice. But that was it. I've said everything about the dishes I tested - I definitely won't test any more. Especially not in the evening - if you're looking for a good Italian restaurant, there's much better in Augsburg. By the way: I contacted Bergius a few weeks ago via their website and gave my feedback - no response whatsoever. Treating customers with respect is different.

A complaint for “defamation” was filed with Google against my review written over a year ago (2 stars, well and balanced, consistent with many other reviews). Apparently the operators are trying to cover up systematic errors in their restaurant through lawsuit agencies. That doesn't work at all! Abnormal service! The four of us ordered pizza and then wanted to sit at a table in the restaurant where the bald waiter shouted at us from 15 meters that we weren't allowed to sit at a normal table with our "€5.50 pizza" because a pizza was too much be cheap. Instead, he aggressively yelled at us and asked us to go to the bistro table. Almost all of these tables were empty and unoccupied. The bistro table that he chased us to was so tiny that the plates didn't even fit on it together. I've never experienced anything like this in my life.

One of the highlights of December 2nd, 2024 was my lunch at Bergius (at Edeka), where you get full for 6.90 euros and are served courteously by a very pretty young woman. Whether she enjoys the job, whether she particularly liked me or whether she remembers me? No idea. In any case, you and the kitchen did a great job and that's how it works with the tip. I only give 4 points for the ambience because, at least in my place, it was slightly drafty. Otherwise the ambience is excellent and if I lived nearby and was retired I would probably eat there every day. It feels like 1,000 others have already come up with this idea, because the hut is full of pensioners at lunchtime 😅

Were there today for the first and last time for Sunday brunch. We reserved and got table 60. This table number is at the entrance to the supermarket. Sitting there is uncomfortable, drafty and very cold. We asked for another table at the back of the restaurant and received the unfriendly answer: "I have 208 people today." We kept our jackets and coats on and hurried with the lukewarm food. The concept of brunch still has a lot of room for improvement, as dishes and salt are often missing and the staff seems overwhelmed. .

Went there because of a Groupon voucher for the 3-course menu with a 1200g tomahawk steak. There is enough parking space available. Well attended at lunchtime (1 p.m.). Ambience modern and tidy. Conditions were friendly but sometimes overwhelming. We often had to wait a little longer for our orders. There was a longer waiting time just to order drinks. Conclusion about the food: portions ok, main course side dishes cold, dessert tiramisu was good. The steak was good. However, the visit was only acceptable because of the Groupon voucher with the discounts. Won't come anymore.

We were here for the first time and chose the tomahawk steak for 2 people, beef tartare, tiramisu and mousse au chocolat. All four things were really excellent. Although the restaurant is in a department store, that doesn't detract from the quality of the cuisine. The whole story could just be better signposted, then the restaurant would certainly be easier to find and more frequented. We'll be back ☺️

We were here for Sunday brunch. The selection was varied and changed again and again. Everything tasted great. However, the service was subpar. We waited over half an hour for the drink order to be taken and then another almost half hour for the drinks to arrive. We didn't even get the orange juice that was included in the price, but we had to pay the full price or didn't receive any "compensation" for it. Even when our glasses were empty, no one came anymore. We were basically left high and dry. The ambience is okay. There was enough space for everyone, just a little cold in the room.

Was there for the first time at the beginning of the week. Since I didn't know it and 200g of steak wasn't enough for me, I ordered two. My friend also ordered one. All three fillet steaks were exactly the same. Medium, tasted great. The side dishes were also good. Firm to the bite, not too cooked and not raw either. The salad was also good. The fillet strips in my friend's salad were excellent. The dessert was just amazing. I went again yesterday. Five. Colleagues from work. The Bergius was completely full. That says it's good. All colleagues were enthusiastic about the salad with fillet strips. The steaks were all great. Of course you can look for a needle in a haystack and find something that doesn't suit you. The evening was extremely satisfying for us. I will always go back. Thank you very much for the lovely evening, to the Bergius team.

My colleagues and I often get pizza there. The pizza is very good, but what I find really bad is that there are no consistent times when pizza is served. Sometimes pizza is served from 11:00 a.m., then sometimes not until 11:30 a.m., and today I was there and the person in charge told me it wasn't until 12:00 p.m. And the two people who are responsible for it are always very rude. I think I'll have to talk to the CEO about that.

At first I was a little skeptical because there was no signage on the food at the buffet. It would be helpful if the dishes were labeled so that guests know what they can take. Unfortunately, the coffee did not meet my expectations and could definitely be improved. But then Peter, our service employee, won my heart with his hospitality and demeanor! His kindness and attentiveness made all the difference and I give the 5 stars because of him alone. A big plus: Even people with celiac disease can have breakfast here without any problems. Peter ensures that their needs are taken into account and no wish is left unfulfilled. Even though I drove 80 km, it was really worth it - especially thanks to Peter's exceptional hospitality.
