Very nice location and very good pizza

Very nice service with delicious food and a great place in the city of Augsburg. Overall, a recommendable evening. Thanks to the chef who you never see but who forms the basis.

Service disappointing. Bruschetta a joke Just wanted to have a drink and a bite to eat on Saturday afternoon. Ordered 2x bruschetta. Took a while even though there wasn't much going on. There were three of us, a third plate wasn't offered. We asked for a third cutlery. Unfortunately that didn't happen. We then got ourselves as well as salt and pepper. Bruschetta was disappointing. A few diced tomatoes on bread with dried basil. I know that with fresh basil and a little mozzarella. 4 small pieces for 7.90 EUR... Drinks only came 5 minutes later. Our conclusion: service very disappointing, absolutely unmotivated staff, bruschetta unacceptable for the price.. not recommended

The food was not as great as I expected it to be, but the restaurant has a cute view especially if you are a tourist in the city.

The waiter was terrible, the food didn't come at the same time so it wasn't pleasant. During the meal the waiter came to pay because he had to leave and then worked for the next half hour. We haven't received an invoice.

The pizza we ordered was cold. We complained. The slightly warmed pizza came back. But unfortunately still not hot.

Service used to be quite good but lately the service has been overwhelmed. No parmesan brought, wrong pizza, no garlic oil brought, espresso forgotten! Then drinks from the neighboring table are included on the bill. That's not how it works

We had to observe a very cheeky event yesterday at public viewing. There was a free table for two, two ladies sat down and wanted a drink. They were then very persistently asked to give up the table because the table was for guests who wanted to eat something. Two young men then sat in the seat, whereupon the “boss” sat down with a glass of wine. Absolute impudence.

When we sat down we were grumbled at in an unfriendly manner and told us that we had to announce ourselves first. After ordering we waited a good half hour for drinks despite several requests... Drinks were only served at the bar upon request. (Ignored by the waitress)

We were greatly disappointed with this restaurant. The food was good, nothing more. What is unacceptable is that our friend was served after we had all finished our meal.

During our stay in Augsburg we went to this pizzeria several times, as we were surprised by how tasty everything was. We tried pasta, pizza and salad, and everything was spectacular. Super friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere! Do not hesitate!!

We wanted to have dinner here today. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes we still weren't served, even though we made eye contact with the staff several times. After calling and waving at least three times, we became uncomfortable. The occupancy rate wasn't very high either. In addition, in our opinion, a “good evening” etc. would be considered good manners... Then we went to another restaurant; with so much competition, it shouldn't be a problem to find places with better service Addition: it had nothing to do with the power outage, as far as I know the staff doesn't work with electricity and a "good evening" should also work without electricity...

Because asparagus was in season they had many specials that included this fine vegetable. We chose the the pasta with asparagus and it was amazingly delicious. I described it to my husband as Italian food with a French flare. We sat at a table where I could watch all of the food come out of the kitchen. The serve a great deal of pizza and it too looked amazing. Highly recommend if visiting Augsburg Germany!!!

We went twice for coffees and cannolis and the service was very good and the bathrooms were impeccable.

We had lunch here on Saturday. The food was very tasty, but the portions were very small. Unfortunately, the price performance wasn't right for pasta with seafood and vegetables with burrata. The service wasn't great. The fact that the waitress's device at our table didn't work and "we were so far away" that the card payment didn't work at the table is unfortunately not professional and, above all, not our fault. When we paid in cash, the waitress gave us €10 less until we asked her about it. Unfortunately not professional here either. The atmosphere and camp is great in the middle of Augsburg city center. Still we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately not recommended at the moment. The entire crew is probably new and the only one who knows their way around is the boss The food isn't bad, but currently the overall experience is absolutely not worth the price :( It's difficult to find good staff everywhere at the moment, but as a restaurateur, with a heavy heart, I have to close down for a while and reposition myself before I scare away customers because everything goes haywire.

Very bad service which unfortunately ruined our evening. We weren't served for a long time and the dishes weren't cleared away. It took 40 minutes before we could leave after the first notification.

I went there for dinner yesterday with my two children. The waitresses were all very nice and the food (pizza salami) was also very tasty.

High quality food. Pasta with octopus and oyster mushrooms from the daily menu was TOP quality!! We recommend. Service is good. We were there on a Thursday and it was full from 7 p.m. We had reservations and I think you should always do that there. We will be back.

The place is super comfortable, very nice and the bathroom is super clean. It is appreciated. The service is great and the food is delicious.

The food tastes good. Typically Italian. The daily menu is extensive. Everyone will find something here. The portions are really big; You will definitely get full here. The drinks menu is sufficiently large but not extensive. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated and the sanitary facilities are clean. The service is not outstanding, but it leaves nothing to be desired.

Unfortunately the pasta wasn't al dente. But still very tasty, innovative and the portion is large. Gladly again.

Wer das ‚il Gabbiano‘ genießen möchte, sollte reservieren. Es wird voll sein. Denn das Essen ist sehr gut, der Service ebenso und auch die Weine sind ausgesucht und besonders. Im Sommer kann man auch sehr gut draußen sitzen und die Abendsonne noch lange auf sich scheinen lassen. Küche und Atmosphäre auf hohem Niveau.

Schönes kleines Restaurant, Pizza war gut, würde aber grundsätzlich mehr Salz vertragen und Tomatensauce vllt auch abschmecken

Wir waren gestern ohne eine Reservierung dort essen. Die Servicekraft war sehr zuvorkommend, da alle Tische eigentlich schon reserviert waren. Ich hatte die Rigatoni al forno die Nudeln waren sehr lecker. Das Soufflee als Nachspeise, sowie die Pizza waren auch wunderbar. Sehr empfehlenswert 😍

Wir waren mit einigen Freunden zu Mittag im Il Gabbiano. Leider entpuppte sich dieses Lokal nicht als "italienisch" , sondern es sind Kroaten. Schade, da dies sehr täuscht. Die Bestellungen kamen nicht gleichzeitig und preislich befindet sich das Essen ziemlich hoch für die Qualität bzw. den Geschmack. Der Wow Effekt bleibt aus. Nachdem jemand von unserem Tisch auf einige Ungereimtheiten aufmerksam gemacht hat, kam nur ein "Ich gebe es weiter". Also ein erneuter Besuch wird es von unserer Seite aus nicht geben !

Eigentlich mein Lieblingsrestaurant in der Innenstadt. Leider zum zweiten Mal ein Haar im Essen gehabt.....

Donnerstag Abend: Service ließ uns nicht willkommen fühlen, der Tisch war fleckig, im Salat ein langes Haar... der Rest war "OK"... aber für "OK" ist es zu teuer

Obwohl es sehr voll war, waren die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Auch der Sonderwunsch bezgl. meines Salates, der so nicht auf der Karte steht, war kein Problem. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Tolles italienisches Restaurant in Augsburg. Die Gerichte aus der Tageskarte sind immer sehr zu empfehlen, sowie auch die Pizzen.

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant für gehobene Küche zu fairen bürgerlichen Preisen mit großen Portionen. Die familiäre Atmosphäre führt dazu, dass ich hier immer wieder liebend gern her komme. Äußerst freundliche Kellner und perfekter Service. Adresse NUMMER 1 für Bar Abende, Feiern oder einen gemütlichen Familien Abend. Ein Volltreffer für mich!!

Lage und Essen sind sehr gut. Nur das Personal hat mir nicht so gefallen, da dies eher auf minimalen Aufwand als auf Befriedigung der Gäste ausgerichtet ist. Trotzdem essen schnell bekommen.

Bei meinen Spaghetti Carbonara waren die Pasta wohl zu heiss, so dass das Ei/Käsegemisch gestockt war, nicht cremig. Pizza ganz ok, der 0,2 L Rotwein leider zu teuer...

Gutes Essen, sehr netter Service. Essen war schnell auf dem Tisch. Preise in Ordnung. Liegt schön zentral.

Es war gut zu reservieren, denn fast alle Plätze waren belegt. Das Serviceteam war sehr freundlich, obwohl es alle Hände voll zu tun hatte, so dass wir etwas warten mussten bis zur Bestellung. Dann ging es aber sehr flott. Der Gabbiano Salat war sehr groß und lecker. Ob jetzt die extra gereicht Teriyaki Sauce sein muss? Wer es mag. Die Pizzabäcker haben geschuftet wie die Weltmeister. Der Pizzaofen ist kein Holzofen, aber derart heiß, dass die Pizza eine knusprige Kruste hat. Sehr lecker. Auch die Umbestellung auf eine vegetarische Variante war problemlos. Alles in allem ein schöner Abend!

Massenabfertigung -Kein Vergleich zu früher! Seit dem Umzug des Restaurants hat die Qualität drastisch abgenommen. Früher war das Essen wirklich gut und sehr qualitativ. Jetzt ist es nur noch Massenabfertigung. Das Essen ist minderwertig und hat nichts mehr mit der früheren Qualität zu tun. Heute habe ich das Essen komplett stehen lassen und keinen Bissen mehr runterbekommen, es war das letzte Mal, dass wir dort waren, dabei waren wir früher Stammkunden.

Each employee was more disengaged than the next. No eye contact, no acknowledgment, no service. They served the people in our 3-person party 20+ minutes apart without acknowledgment (they clearly had forgotten an order).

Alles sehr lecker. Bedienung freundlich und höflich. Bin bei jedem Augsburgbesuch gerne hier zu Gast 👍🏻
