Everything was very good, one thing I didn't like was that 3 euros per person were added to the bill for setting the table. A white tablecloth, cutlery and napkins were set at the table, nothing more. But we had a very nice evening with the family.

Full marks!!! Food that actually tastes like home, a waiter who loves his job, lives it and does it to perfection and just have a great time in an uncomfortable restaurant with a great ambience! It was great, the roulade was nice with cucumber and meat (meat was new to me, but it's good), delicious dumplings and you can order as much sauce as you want. The wild herb soup as a starter was excellent. We had a great time here, period. :-)

Lactose and gluten free? The chef worked magic and prepared a great meal. The whole thing was served in a super friendly manner. It's a shame we live so far away, otherwise I would be there all the time.

Thuringian home cooking - very tasty, home-style. Roulade and dumplings are great. Service very friendly. No long waiting times. Parking difficult.

The Johannesklaus is a beautiful old pub with delicious food and relaxed service, who always has a saying on their lips. The only drawback were the fried potatoes, which could have used a little more time in the pan. Otherwise price performance really good

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the rooms. We have now been here twice in 3 months. Once alone as a couple for lunch during the week. The second time was on Sunday for lunch (for seven) with children. Very friendly service for the first time. Very tasty food, schnitzel dishes for €14 price/performance absolutely TOP. The second time, friendly service, but much more stressed, the restaurant was well filled. Food was TOP again. TIP TIP: Zauberhut children's ice cream for €4.60 🥳Huge portion of ice cream with Smarties, fruit and cream
