Very friendly owner/service, exceptionally good food and drink selection, clean and cozy country house atmosphere. We had planned a spontaneous visit on the occasion of the 3rd Advent and luckily got two seats at the counter. The inn is run by a family that can look back on a 111-year tradition. We were greeted respectfully and extremely friendly by the junior member of the family and very quickly received the opulent menu. The inn is usually extremely well attended and reservations are strongly recommended! We were surprised by the very rich selection of regional Thuringian delicacies and I chose dumplings and braised ox cheeks - braised beef cheeks with red cabbage and an additional portion of champions! There was also delicious French beer - unique in the region. Everything was tastefully prepared with great culinary art and love and served by very friendly service. Traditional restaurant with very good German cuisine in the middle of the old town. We were all very satisfied and the service was very accommodating. Really recommended!

Excellent food in a very nice atmosphere. The meal was a birthday present for a friend. The table was beautifully set, even with a flower arrangement, and there was also a birthday dessert. Very attentive. If I'm in Erfurt again, I'd love to come back to Kromer's.

I had roulade with a dumpling, sauce and red cabbage. Unfortunately the roulade was very dry and relatively small, the dumpling and the red cabbage tasted good. At a price of just under €27 for the dish, I expect a different quality. The service staff was very positive and was very attentive and friendly, keep it up. Conclusion: Price performance for the food is not quite right, at least with the roulade. The atmosphere is really chic and the staff is top. Will I come back again? I'm not sure yet. I wish you a great start into the new year.

We went there spontaneously for lunch yesterday and were lucky to get a free table. Great down-to-earth Thuringian cuisine. Price-performance is great. Very friendly staff. I recommend it unreservedly.

Weihnachtsbrunch 2024 fand im Konferenzraum - tadelloses Arbeitsfeeling- statt. Dazu passte auch prima die Neonlampenbeleuchtung. Das Vorspeisenbuffet war o.k. Die angebotenen Hauptspeisen entsprachen dem Niveau einer Betriebskantine. Die Nachspeisen kann ich nicht beurteilen, ich habe darauf verzichtet. Der Weinachtsbrunch 2023 war wirklich gut, tolles Ambiente, gutes Essen. Was ist in diesem Haus passiert?

The Johannesklaus is a beautiful old pub with delicious food and relaxed service, who always has a saying on their lips. The only drawback were the fried potatoes, which could have used a little more time in the pan. Otherwise price performance really good

No “welcome”. Had to ask for the assigned room number and where it is. Shower and toilet built into the room, no separate bathroom.
