Very nice restaurant right by Krämerbrücke. We ate Winterroulade. The meat was a little dry. I wouldn’t have said anything if the food would have been around 15€ but we paid 25€ per dish and than you expect everything to be top notch. Otherwise Service was great we had a young men as our server and he was top notch. He is the reason why it’s still 5 stars - so let him know he is doing an awesome job!

Platzanweiser wie zu schlimmsten DDR Zeiten. „Sie können sich neben die Eingangstür setzen oder an einen Katzentisch.“. Diskussion zwecklos, Kellner ist König, Kunde kann wieder gehen. Nice rustic atmosphere. Food price and performance don't match. Meat was very dry e.g. Schwarzbierbraten was not a roast but dry goulash Sauerbraten, dry and deer meat, very dry with three slices of bread dumplings. Very disappointed with the food. Check the calculation the guest will not come back!!!

The service was good and we also got new sauce for our goose dinner free of charge. We paid 25 euros for it which is absolutely ok. In my opinion, there could have been a little more meat, but the side dishes were also good. Overall, the visit was really worth it and I would come back in a heartbeat.

We had a very good, solid, homely meal at Feuerkugel. There was absolute Christmas hustle and bustle outside, inside there was peace and quiet and delicious food with friendly service. There was even a large extra portion of sauce for the buttery roulades.

Today we had dinner at the Feuerkugel inn. Classic inn ambience and traditional Thuringian dishes. We had roulade, goose breast and duck leg - each excellent and great sauces. Side dishes were also great and individual side dishes were made for our son. Very friendly staff and good price. Very good.

Rustikales Lokal mit Thüringer Speisen. 80% der Hauptgerichte waren Schmorgerichte mit Thüringer Klößen. Kein vegetarisches Gericht. Waren mit dem Bestellten trotzdem zufrieden. Der Restaurantleiter sollte etwas freundlicher sein und nicht an der Theke stehen und Kaugummi kauen. Die Preise sind schon aus dem oberen Regal.

Full marks!!! Food that actually tastes like home, a waiter who loves his job, lives it and does it to perfection and just have a great time in an uncomfortable restaurant with a great ambience! It was great, the roulade was nice with cucumber and meat (meat was new to me, but it's good), delicious dumplings and you can order as much sauce as you want. The wild herb soup as a starter was excellent. We had a great time here, period. :-)

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Wir hatten keine Reservierung. Vor Ort bekamen wir die Information, dass wir den nächsten freien Tisch ( in ca 30 Minuten) bekommen könnten. Wir sagten dies zu. Als wir nach 25 Minuten zurück kehrten, hatte man den Tisch unmittelbar zuvor an andere Besucher vergeben. Wir wurden mit dem Kommentar "abgefertigt ", dass sich die Situation nun geändert habe.

Today we were at the Feuerkugel inn. And what can I say... it was awesome! Actually only chosen as an emergency choice, it was the best decision to eat there! The staff was super friendly, accommodating, funny and great. The food, we had beef roulade and sauerbraten, each with red cabbage and Thuringian dumplings, was worth every bite. Super tender and delicious. All in all it was a very successful evening and visit there! Highly recommended!

Three of us had dinner there on Friday evening. Reservation necessary. Near the Krämerbrücke.We ate a typical regional meal. Sauerbraten, liver, everything was very good and plentiful. I've been to this restaurant several times and have always had very good service. Yesterday I spontaneously went to this restaurant with my wife and when we arrived a table had just become available. When I asked if there was an available table, the waitress told us there wasn't one and it would probably take a while for a table to become available. As we stepped aside, I heard the customer behind us also ask for a table (he also didn't have a reservation), and I saw the waitress immediately lead him to the newly vacated table. In summary, the restaurant decides which customers they want to serve in a discriminatory manner.

I had a very good meal with my wife. Unfortunately it is always fully booked and reservations were no longer possible, but due to high demand, after 30 minutes of waiting and a very nice waiter, we managed to get a table for two. Many thanks to the staff. Highly recommended.

Das Gasthaus wird meiner Meinung nach völlig überbewertet. Der Gastraum mit viel Holz ist traditionell schön, aber das war‘s dann auch schon. Viele freundliche Bedienungen, ja der Laden läuft. Die Rinderroulade, das Aushängeschild, das nahezu jeder Gast wählt, war trocken und die Soße, von der man in einen Sauciere nachordern kann, nicht einem Schmorgericht gemäß eingekocht. Man isst und macht wieder Platz für die Nächsten.

It's impossible how interested customers are turned away!!!!! We wanted to eat something in this restaurant, unfortunately everything was occupied. We then asked if it would be possible later, which the waiter said yes. When we wanted to make a reservation for a later date, the waiter just shouted "No" very unfriendly and loudly for whatever reason. So this restaurant is done for us. We don't need to allow ourselves to be bullied in this way.

Very solid restaurant, slightly higher prices but also good quality food. You should like it hearty and traditional. The boiled beef in horseradish didn't appeal to me as well. But I think that's more a question of taste since I tried it and not the problem of the inn. But the roulades were very, very well received.

Together with colleagues, I visited this rustic restaurant in the old town of Erfurt. I was expecting Thuringian cuisine and was not disappointed. The roulade with red cabbage and dumplings was very tasty and when we asked, we were also given free sauce so that the dumplings could float. The service was nice, quick and very polite. I would call the furnishings rustic, but clean and absolutely appropriate. The Feuerkugel is a great restaurant and worth (at least) a visit.

Food was okay so far, a bit overpriced... Staff arrogant to almost arrogant when entering the restaurant. I thought, like in GDR times. Usher impossible. You can be happy if someone else comes.

We hardly had to wait for the friendly service and the food because we were there right at 12. Unfortunately, the Thuringian dumplings did not meet our expectations and their price. The roulade was very good, the sauerbraten was quite dry. Although we remembered the restaurant well, especially from previous visits, today it was unfortunately no more than average.

Wonderful atmosphere and rustic traditional Thuringian cuisine with great Thuringian dumplings, made with a solid recipe by Grandma Käthe, who seems to somewhat stand behind the brand. The historic restaurant (not named ”Feuerkugel or Fireball” then) had its inception in the late 1580s and is hence one of Erfurt’s oldest standing establishments. We enjoyed the Sauerbraten and the (meat filled) Thüringer Rouladen, never had them filled with meat but as the Sauerbraten they were authentic in taste and had a simple savoury taste profile, just like they are meant to be. The red cabbage or Rotkraut is excellent in taste and not too sour like you find in many restaurants in Thuringia. The Klöße or dumplings have lovely buttered breadcrumb on top and are filled with buttered roasted white bread, just like they are meant to be - definitely freshly made. The only downside was the extra sauce they offer, as it seemed a bit generic and not the same as neither of the original sauces that came with the Sauerbraten and Rouladen. The grilled and ham-coated dumplings were very tasty too, as for the salad - it was good and tasty but definitely not their strong point or signature dish. The home-brewed country beer was a little on the sour side, too sour for our liking. Generally a wonderful restaurant with amazing authentic Thuringian cuisine, yet very pricey - with authentic dishes at almost €25 each, it’s downright not affordable for the working class, which is a bit sad, because they too should enjoy these wonderful treats.

nettes Lokal ohne es besonders hervorzuheben, nettes Personal, sehr gut besucht, es gibt viele gute Gaststätten in Erfurt, wie Pier 13, Restaurant Übersee - speisen direkt am / über dem Fluss, Blockhouse Erfurt, Texas Steaklounge u.v.m. Wer fette Speisen nicht verträgt, sollte vegan essen.

Nachdem wir eine kleine Extrarunde durch die Altstadt geschlendert sind, weil im Außenbereich alle Plätze belegt waren, bekamen wir in dem gemütlichen Innenhof einen schönen Tisch. Wir entschieden uns für gebratenen Zander auf Meerrettich-Stampf und für Ochsenbäckchen mit Thüringer Klößen. wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Die beiden Gerichte waren äußerst lecker - wir haben alles bis auf den letzten Krümel gegessen.

We ate at Feuerkugel this evening and I really have to say, the food is simply very tasty. The dishes are beautifully prepared and there is something for everyone. But our connoisseur Sabrina particularly blew us away We really liked her super friendly nature, especially towards our two children. We can highly recommend the restaurant not only because of the delicious food, but especially because of Sabrina. Thanks for that.

This inn on a side street near the Krämerbrücke is sensational. It starts at the reception, where a waiter shows you the table with his blunt but loving manner. Then the food. Home cooking very well prepared. The meat, we had the boiled beef and the pork cheeks, everything cooked perfectly with great dumplings and sauces that were very tasty.
