Super rustic and cozy with a fireplace... beautifully furnished, everything fits together harmoniously.

Great restaurant that's also open on Mondays, which is very rare. The best part was that the waiter accommodated our food requests. And the food was delicious. I haven't had such a tasty wild boar roast in a long time.

Ten of us were with friends at the Hohe Warte. Everyone was very satisfied with the food, the service, and the cozy atmosphere. 😁 We will definitely come back here.

Since we had booked a night flight from the neighboring Erfurt Airport, we wanted to have a nice dinner beforehand. We found the nearby Landgasthof Hote Warte on Google, and the reviews and photos convinced us! We went there without a reservation and received a very friendly welcome. Unfortunately, all the tables in the restaurant were occupied (about 6 to 7), and a large family celebration was currently being served their buffet meal in the hall. Unfortunately, they couldn't offer us a free table for the time being, but they gave us the opportunity to come back in an hour. Since we had plenty of time, we accepted the offer. The friendly staff member tipped us off with a great playground for our kids nearby. We went there, played for about 45 minutes, and then returned to the country inn. As promised, a nice table was available for us, and we were served immediately and very warmly. The kids were given coloring books and pens without us having to ask, and they were happy. We ordered, and the drinks and our food arrived really quickly (despite the hall being full). Our meal was fantastic! The ox cheeks were very juicy and delicious, and the dumplings and red cabbage were also very tasty. The portion was more than sufficient! Our kids had the schnitzel with fries and croquettes, which were also very tasty! The price/performance ratio is really excellent. The staff and the manager (who was behind the counter) were very friendly, and we even got chatting about the airport, where we were from, and our destination. We will definitely be back the next time we fly from Erfurt! This country inn is highly recommended! It's about 8 km from the airport, so a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes by car. The country inn is very cozy and beautifully furnished, the restrooms are brand new, and everything is very clean! Summary: This is the perfect way to start a vacation, in a pleasant atmosphere and with good food; we felt right at home! Many thanks to the team at the "Hohe Warte" country inn! Before our visit, we called the inn and asked if there were any available tables. We were warmly welcomed. After driving 20 minutes to the restaurant, we were assigned two seats at a table for six. Since the other seats were already taken, we declined the offer and asked for one of the many other free tables. The landlady's response was, "All seats are taken." And there was no reservation sign. So we were told to go to another restaurant.

The best ox cheeks are available here!! I thought about it for a long time whether I should order it or not. I've had mixed experiences with ox cheeks in some other restaurants. But the high waiting rooms in the restaurant were really perfect!! Really tender and tastes great too! The best I've eaten so far. 😊 We would love to come back!

We have never eaten such good ox cheeks as we got at the “Hohe Warte” inn in Salomonsborn before. The service rounded off the visit. Highly recommended! The entire restaurant was extremely clean. But you should definitely make a reservation.

The restaurant "Hohe Warte" is a beautifully rustic restaurant and since it was always well attended, my partner and I thought it would definitely taste good there. We reserved 2 places and after a nice event in the city we wanted to end the evening there with a nice meal. Full of anticipation, we ordered drinks, a starter and a main course. We left a menu for dessert. The starter came, well a seasoned meat and a beef broth, as ordered. Mm, maybe our expectations were just too high. Now the main course. I have a schnitzel with fries and mushrooms. The only thing that was fresh were the fries. The schnitzel and mushrooms were definitely from the day before, at least that's how they tasted. My partner had ox cheeks with dumplings. Unfortunately, the ox cheeks were completely crusty, as if they had been cooking in the roaster since lunch, and the dumplings were loveless frozen goods. My partner was so disappointed. We then left dessert. Well, as I said, perhaps our expectations were simply too high, but unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant. But it may also be that other guests have had different experiences. Unfortunately we don't.

Today we were guests there. Had pre-ordered. Everything went well. Nice service. Various dishes were chosen and they were all excellent. Dessert was also excellent. Better than in some star restaurants. Highly recommended and we will definitely visit this restaurant again soon.

Good home cooking with a little something extra. We were invited to the Hohe Warte restaurant today for a birthday and were very impressed by the deliciously prepared food. Everything was served on beautiful, modern dishes and people raved about everything from ox cheeks to venison and salmon. My sister and I treated ourselves to a dessert which also tasted very good. I had shock soufflé with vanilla ice cream and cream, there were crunchy sprinkles and everything wasn't too sweet, my sister had raspberries with vanilla ice cream and was also very satisfied. We cook and bake at home every day and can tell that effort has been made here and everything tastes better than in restaurants where it is often overpriced. The prices are moderate overall and we would like to thank the entire family business again for the fast and friendly service. We'd love to come back.

Very friendly owner/service, exceptionally good food and drink selection, clean and cozy country house atmosphere. We had planned a spontaneous visit on the occasion of the 3rd Advent and luckily got two seats at the counter. The inn is run by a family that can look back on a 111-year tradition. We were greeted respectfully and extremely friendly by the junior member of the family and very quickly received the opulent menu. The inn is usually extremely busy and a reservation is strongly recommended! We were surprised by the very rich selection of regional Thuringian delicacies and I chose dumplings and braised ox cheeks - braised beef cheeks with red cabbage and an additional portion of champions! There was also delicious French beer - unique in the region. Everything was tastefully prepared with great culinary art and love and served by very friendly service. We say thank you very much and look forward to a visit with our friends and family soon. 🙋🏻😋😋😋😋🫶🤩

An absolute recommendation and always worth a visit. It wasn't our first time as a guest and there hasn't even been a meal that left anything to be desired. You just have to reserve a table well in advance. Reserving a table spontaneously, especially at the weekend, is rarely successful, even if the inn operators always try everything to make it possible. But that doesn't surprise me given the quality of the food and the hospitality. Price and quality are in absolute harmony and really fair. See you soon, we're already looking forward to the next time.

Everything was very good, one thing I didn't like was that 3 euros per person were added to the bill for setting the table. A white tablecloth, cutlery and napkins were set at the table, nothing more. But we had a very nice evening with the family.

I cannot understand the positive reviews and have a different opinion. I ate the ox cheeks for dinner. These were tender and delicious. However, we get the dumplings much better at home. They seemed soggy. The red cabbage wasn't to my taste either. The prices are very high. The furnishings also need renovation and feel like they are in the 1960s style. Spider webs on the walls should not be present in the restaurant either. What annoyed me the most was the service. She was unfriendly and seemed annoyed. As if every course was too much for the guest. So unfortunately only one star. A pity!

Unfortunately, the reviews here didn't come true during our visit yesterday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is actually very pleasant and cozy. The service was rather neutral and not particularly interested or friendly. Unfortunately, the food was *extremely* salty, so I had to remove salt from the surface of the steak and potato wedges with a knife. There were three of us and all 3 dishes were simply prepared with too much salt. The steak (22€) was ordered "medium rare", but unfortunately it was well done. It's a shame, I was looking forward to the visit based on the reviews. Maybe we'll give the restaurant a second chance in the future.

Yesterday we went to the Hohe Warte restaurant for the first time and had our family dinner there. The restaurant is very nice and cozy (especially the room with the fireplace). Our waitress was very nice and really on her toes. Unfortunately the food took a little longer - I think the lady felt alone in the service 🤷‍♀️. Nevertheless, we passed the time very well. The food was very good. From the starter to the dessert, everything was great. We were full, we were satisfied - so everything was perfect 😁😁 In the end I was really surprised at the price. €243 for 8 people with everything included (several drinks per person, starters and desserts). We will never eat so cheaply in Munich. Therefore, even more reason to come back 😁 If you want to go to the Hohe Warte, then you should look for a parking space on a side street, as it gets full pretty quickly 😉

We went there for the first time on the recommendation of my brother. Price performance is absolutely top in this day and age! Top quality food and products. You should take some time with you because all the dishes are freshly prepared and sometimes there are around 100 guests, but it's worth the wait! Small recommendation, I would garnish the delicious beef tartare with a goose egg yolk... that's part of it for me and take 3 euros more. The presentation with the glass ball and smoke is great! If you want to have a nice and very good meal, you're in good hands here. Staff and food is an A+. However, reservation is essential for the reasons mentioned above.

We had a large gathering here today for my father's birthday. It was super organized, extra places were organized quickly. The food was also very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is very friendly and accommodating. Lovely again.

We would have liked to convince ourselves of the food, but unfortunately we found ourselves in front of closed doors, although the opening times suggested otherwise. There was no indication on the door or on the answering machine that it would open later or not at all. What a shame!

I celebrated my 60th birthday in the hall of the Landgasthof Salomonsborn. (according to the agreement it was clear that the celebration would take place from Saturday evening to Sunday, as my birthday was on Sunday) Until around 11 p.m., all guests were very well looked after by the staff, after which the younger boss took over the hospitality! From this point on there was no longer any demand for further drinks!!! This gave the guests the impression that the celebration should be finished as quickly as possible, despite the lavish night surcharge from midnight (as agreed). Even the coffee around midnight, which had been agreed upon in advance, only went through after a lot of discussion on the part of the young boss Giving in to the older lady serving at the counter. Our impression was that the young boss was unfriendly and annoyed towards us and our guests - unacceptable and not recommended for such a celebration.

Hello, The food is still good, even if, in contrast to previous visits, it has decreased in terms of quality and quantity and the prices are still acceptable. What doesn't work at all is the service by the younger manager of the house, sloppy and just plain unfriendly.

Waren unterwegs von Berlin nach Erfurt. Auf der Autobahn in Kontakt gekommen. Das Landgasthaus hat alles versucht um für uns bei Ankunft einen Platz zu bekommen. Haben sich unsere Telefonnummer notiert und zurückgerufen. Sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Platz reserviert und dann vor Ort so eine Gastfreundlichkeit. Und dann noch das tolle Essen. Absolut volle Punktzahl. Danke an euch es war einfach Spitze. Die drei von der Autobahn von Berlin

Wir haben in der Hohe Warte die Taufe unseres 10 Monate alten Sohnes gefeiert. Von der Kontaktaufnahme über die Organisation bis hin zur Feierlichkeit selber waren wir mehr als zufrieden. Die Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort sowie die Kollegen waren freundlich, immer zuvorkommend und haben einen Top Service geleistet. Hinzukommt das Extrawünsche oder kleine Nebensächlichkeiten ohne zu zögern erfüllt worden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und unserer Ansicht nach gehoben. Also keine Standard deutsches Gaststätten Essen, sondern wirklich etwas besonders/außergewöhnliches. Preislich auch mehr als Top. Das war sicher nicht unsere letzte Feierlichkeit welche wir hier feiern. Zusammengefasst: wunschlos glücklich und zufrieden

Allso gleich zum Anfang!! Das Essen war mega !! Thüringer Küche der Extraklasse !! Auch die Auswahl der Getränke ist richtig gut. Das Ambiente rustikal wie es jedem gefällt, Aber die Bedienung reißt alles ein mit beiden Händen was die Küche mit Leidenschaft aufbaut. Schade !!!!! Die Bedienung und das geht garnicht ist frech und unfreundlich zu den Gästen Zur Erklärung, ich persönlich hatte 1 Cola Zero bestellt,nach ca 15 min hatte ich sie erneut bestellt weitere ca. 15 min. Später hatte ich die Bedingung direkt darauf hingewiesen (ich habe immer gewartet bis sie zu uns an den Tich kam)und wurde sehr persönlich und föllig überzogen angegriffen was absolut nicht geht!!!!!!! Und zur absoluten Krönung wurde mir kurz darauf eine Cola serviert natürlich nicht Zero und der Abend war gelaufen(aus Gesundheitlichen Gründen) !!!! Ich musste gehen das geht absolut garnicht und ist völlig inakzeptabel und das zum 70 Geburtstag meiner Mutter❗❗

Wir sind zufällig hier eingekehrt und sind mehr als begeistert! Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist Qualitativ sehr hochwertig, super lecker und der Preis mehr als gerechtfertigt!! Der Gasthof selbst ist rustikal aber modern- und sehr sauber! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können es sehr sehr sehr empfehlen!!

Essen sehr gut, die Kommunikation mit dem Gast könnte besser sein. Zuallererst standen wir am eigentlichen Haupteingang vor verschlossener Tür. Wenn im Sommer die Terrasse offen ist, dann soll der Gast auch den Eingang dort / Nebeneingang ca. 50 Meter rechts vom Haupteingang /benutzen. Dies steht aber nirgendwo am Haus bzw. am Haupteingang. Dann wurden wir mit Gästen verwechselt, welche ein Menü absprechen wollten. Als diese dann erschienen sind, sind wir etwas ruppig von dem zuerst zugewiesen Platz an einen anderen verwiesen wurden. Dieses für uns unschönen Gefühl wurde während oder nach dem Essen durch die junge Dame nicht wieder gut gemacht. Worte wie, es tut mir leid für die Verwechslung oder wie schmeckt das Essen, hätten die Situation gerettet. So haben wir ein sehr gutes und Preiswertes !!! Essen mit einem Gefühl zu uns genommen, was nicht angenehm war. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber und angenehm, sogar mit Deo Spray für den Gast bei heißem Wetter. Die Terrasse war klein aber fein. Die Parksituation ist schwierig, nur wenige Plätze vor dem Haus vorhanden. In ca. 300 Meter ist aber der Sportplatz, wo auch ordentlich geparkt werden kann. Behindertengerecht sind beide Eingänge nicht! Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder, hoffen dann aber auf einen Hinweis am Haupteingang für den Weg zur Terrasse und schauen nach, wie dann kommuniziert wird.

Hier gibt es wirklich nichts negatives zu sagen. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, dazu kommen die sehr fairen Preise und der sehr gute Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!
