We enjoyed the food and appreciate the allergen list and accommodations for gluten-free diners like me. The cashier/order-taker seemed new and my order came out with the crunch onions that are not gf, but when we brought it to the counter, they were apologetic and re-made the food for me and it tasted great and was safe. I had the Red sausage with purple cabbage and mash without the gravy or crunchy onions topping. The fries here are not gf. The ambiance was casual, clean, and comfortable. We will be back.

Four waiters were very inattentive. Suddenly, there were 12 glasses on the table for five people. New beer was brought but not cleared, nor were the plates. We waited 45 minutes for Metthappen (a piece of meat), Cologne caviar, and the place wasn't full. We went again. Service was good, but the price for a Röggelchen (small roll with Mett) was a bit excessive. It was a mini Röggelchen (small roll with Mett), and maybe 50g of Mett. Maximum material used: €1.20! PRICE €8.60!!!!!!

THE pub in Düsseldorf's Old Town. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food...and a few glasses of Alt beer to go with it. ...By the way, the supply is rolling in 😜😎

No reservation, but we still got a table, it is old-fashioned, but that makes the food and certainly the staff more than good, delicious schnitzel with delicious bratkartoffel on it. And about the staff, what hard workers, and yet they make time for every guest, really super sweet people, who are very hospitable!

Absolut empfehlenswert, schönes Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen.

Es ist ein Brauhaus, also waren die Erwartungen nicht hoch. Aber selbst das war nicht tief genug. Essen kann man vergessen, schlechter geht's kaum. Schade, weil der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Die Atmossphäre auch gut. Aber bitte nicht essen!!

A truly historic place! The Aachen Ratskeller is located in the basement of the town hall, which was built in the 14th century on the foundations of Charlemagne's former imperial palace. The Gothic cellar originally served as a food storage room and wine cellar. The Ratskeller first opened in 1951 as a public restaurant with a historic flair and home-style cuisine. The Ratskeller was ideally located in Aachen's historic center! Over the past seven decades, the restaurant's design and culinary recipe have evolved with the changing owners, but it has nevertheless retained the historic character of a vaulted cellar with medieval charm. After a long closure, the Ratskeller reopened in October 2022 under the name "Ratskeller Aachen - Restaurant & Bar." In keeping with the tradition of the Ratskeller with its thick vaulted walls, the atmosphere remains historic, but now there's an interesting mix of stylish lighting and modern interior design in a medieval vaulted room, which I think is very successful. The modern concept, featuring modern bistro cuisine with regional products and a wide selection of drinks, as well as a cocktail bar, also fits in with this. There's plenty of space with many cozy alcoves for an intimate, atmospheric dinner for two, as well as larger tables for groups. In the warmer months, you can also enjoy the outside in the Katschhof courtyard with a view of Aachen Cathedral.
