Das Brauhaus in Düren

I already knew it as "Sockenschuss" (a German slang term for a place that's been around forever), but it still makes me rave about it. I had the schnitzel, and it was simply superb! Even though it didn't have mussels... inside joke. All in all, one of the top 3 restaurants in Düren where I like to eat.

We were at the Brauhaus in Düren today – and it was simply fantastic! The food was delicious, the atmosphere truly cozy and inviting. But the absolute highlight was our waitress Chiara! You rarely experience such warm, attentive, and professional service. She knows exactly what true service means. Dear boss: With Chiara, you have an absolute top performer on your team! We'll definitely be back!

I ate there with my partner yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I also thought it was really funny that Heidi was playing in the women's restroom. That alone made the place really appealing to me. The best part is, of course, for last: our lovely waitress Chiara served us brilliantly and was incredibly friendly. I don't think I've ever been served so well. Simply a sweetheart. ☺️ Highly recommended!

We were at Birra Duria again – and what can I say: simply fantastic as always! I'd especially like to mention Kiara, our waitress, who made the evening truly special with her friendly, attentive, and charming manner. Not only did she understand every request immediately, but she also created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere with a smile and a whole lot of heart. That's exactly what perfect service looks like! Thanks to the whole team – and a huge compliment to Kiara. We'll definitely be back – if only because of her! P.S. You have the coolest restroom in all of Düren, so you deserve an award for that alone 🤣

A nice brewery in the heart of town with its own beer. Delicious food and always very friendly people!

Super delicious food. Large portions, and the service was so friendly. An experience for all ages.

We had a drink yesterday and then wanted to pay. The waitress (Chiara) was very unfriendly and rude. She apparently has a personal problem with my boyfriend. She goaded everyone, other Keller staff and guests, that we were banned from the premises and yelled at them, but they didn't say it to our faces. I think that if there is a personal problem between Keller and a guest, it should be sorted out privately and not in the restaurant. They didn't want our money either. We gave it to another waitress. After the unpleasant situation, we left the place. Neither we nor our friends will be eating here again. Sorry, but this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. I don't know why we would have been banned from the premises because a waitress couldn't stand my boyfriend.

Always very tasty, freshly prepared food, the beer is really good and there is something for every Rhinelander😉. You can also tell that the staff really love their job, really nice :) After 4 years, my assessment hasn't changed at all, it's always a highlight and even my partner's birthday party was a complete success. You always feel welcome, a very clear recommendation

I found the shop and the service super nice and nice and very accommodating, I only had fries to eat and they were very tasty ☺️ the women's toilet made me laugh, I closed the door behind me and Heidi's song started 🤣 very imaginative the toilet atmosphere 😅 the shop is generally decorated very cool!

We were sitting in the dark, no other guests. The food was probably just warmed up. Roast pork was quite firm and potatoes tasted like they had been warmed up. Red cabbage was definitely not homemade either. The other food, such as steak, was tough. Overall poor quality.

Es ist ein Brauhaus, also waren die Erwartungen nicht hoch. Aber selbst das war nicht tief genug. Essen kann man vergessen, schlechter geht's kaum. Schade, weil der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Die Atmossphäre auch gut. Aber bitte nicht essen!!

Successful evening with actually avoidable mistakes. Nice restaurant, service wasn't actually bad, the waitress "Milka" was very attentive. Food, well, my personal tip to the head chef. A cold side dish, for me salad, goes separately with the grill plate. My fries were 1. soggy from the salad dressing and 2. meat was cold and the ready-made sauce served was cold. Unfortunately I had to complain about my food. Lg.

Wonderful decoration for Christmas...great ambience and super friendly staff

We were in this brewery on November 29th, 2024 as part of a small Christmas party (5 people). We were there a few years ago for the same reason and were very satisfied. Unfortunately we have a few points of criticism this time: A menu with typical winter dishes, such as goose and game, can be found online. Not on the brewery's website (no menu is posted there), but on another platform (Speisekarte.de, without "winter information"). When we visited there was only the “normal menu”. When asked, it was said that the other card was the winter card, which was not yet valid. As a reminder: We were there on the Friday before the 1st Advent. The Christmas market was in full swing. Quite wintery for me... This was a shame as we were particularly looking forward to some of the "winter dishes". Now we had ordered something from the normal menu. The waiting time was very long (around 90 minutes), which was probably due to the heavy traffic. The food was tasty, but unfortunately some of it was quite cold. The prices for the dishes offered are okay. Overall, this visit was quite disappointing - especially because of the anticipation of unavailable dishes.

I can actually only give one star for the service. We had reserved and were taken to the place. There were four of us. From our seat we had an excellent view of the kitchen. Which would have been of better use to us. A young employee touched all the food there with only her bare hands! Distributed the fries from a plate where she probably had too many on it with her hand to the other plate and then sorted the other plate back into place. The schnitzel and sausage were all brought to the plate with bare hands. Sorry, an absolute NO GO for me! We mentioned it there too, and the waitress probably also told the boss. Who didn't feel the need to talk to ourselves! We paid for our drinks and left the restaurant. This is just disgusting! We certainly won't be eating there again!

An absolute highlight in Düren! The brewery not only offers a cozy atmosphere, but also first-class food. The home-brewed beers are a delight and perfectly matched to the diverse dishes on the menu. Hi was at the brewery this evening on September 21st at 7pm sharp. The tango evening that took place on the terrace made me want to eat there. I think due to the event there was only a small menu with 5 regular dishes and 3 other columns on the menu were filled with dishes similar to Tappas, but you always had to buy at least 3 bowls of them. Absolutely nothing exclusive that can be prepared in the kitchen with little effort. Since I was traveling alone, I wanted to eat one of the 5 dishes that were available and ordered 5 minutes after arriving. I have to say that the terrace was fully occupied with around 35 to 40 guests. Most guests had glasses in front of them and a few had arrangements of tappas. Two people are enough to handle this. I ordered goulash with dumplings and salad. After two drinks and 50 minutes had now passed, I decided to leave hungry and entered the premises to pay for my two drinks. In the restaurant the waitress came to me with my order. I refused to accept it and the waitress went to the boss. He turned to me and said very angrily, "You see what's going on here." After another heated speech from the owner, I was very loudly expelled from the house, although I can't blame myself. Sorry, but goulash is pre-cooked and just needs to be warmed up. A note in between would at least be appropriate. The owner has absolutely no feeling of mastering this store. In my opinion, anyone who can't satisfy 40 guests has the wrong job. But you don't need any qualifications to run a restaurant. Think career changer based on his reaction. Absolutely not recommended

Nice atmosphere, always friendly and courteous service. The in-house beers are highly recommended. I would rate the food average.

UPDATE 09/2024 Went to the brewery again recently. All in all, the food was good again, unfortunately the portions have shrunk significantly. Of course everything has become more expensive, but when I go out to eat I want to be halfway full, especially in a “brewery”! UPDATE 03/2024 We had steak and pork fillet and were very pleasantly surprised. Both super tasty and of good quality. Service was also very quick and courteous. I personally like the specially brewed beer. I like this business idea and the atmosphere of the indoor and outdoor areas. However, the decoration somewhat spoiled the "rustic" brewery charm. We ordered 9 small bowls with various treasures. Most of them were freshly trained, but none of them impressed me. The chicken wings with delicious curry sauce and the shrimp were the most convincing. All in all quite ok, price/performance included. So I didn't know if I would come back again.

We were there again for dinner on Friday, May 7th, 2024. It should be a great and long evening. As always, the currywurst was great, as was the grilled plate. We were served very courteously, quickly and attentively by the ladies in service. Top!! It was a very special evening thanks to a great musician who created a unique atmosphere with guitar and singing. Queen, Guns n Roses, Depeche Mode, Annie Lennox, Roxette and Co. would have felt right at home. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for an exceptional evening.

Simply great! The food is always delicious and good value for money. Whether for a leisurely meal, watching football and having a drink in the bar area, or at one of the numerous events throughout the year. I've never been disappointed and have enjoyed going there for years.

Trendy and open, very well-attended restaurant. Eat inside and, when the weather is nice, hang out outside in a relaxed location on the pedestrian zone. Small dishes or well-filled plates, something for everyone.

A modern, comfortably furnished restaurant with a bar and around 60 outdoor seats. When the church bells ring it is quite loud. The food is not exceptional but tasty; well-kept drinks. The service staff are very helpful and friendly.

The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and the food is solid. Had the Brauhausschnitzel. The portion was sufficient, the breading of the schnitzel was unfortunately soft and not crispy in the areas without sauce, the sauce was unfortunately already poured over the schnitzel and not served separately. Otherwise the taste is okay.

An attractively furnished brewery with friendly staff. The house beer tastes very good. There is still potential when it comes to food. Unfortunately, it was far too greasy for our taste.

Das Essen ist in Ordnung! Die Bedienung war nicht wirklich aufmerksam und hätte mehr verdienen können. Viel prägnanter ist der Geruch im lokal. Je nachdem wo man sitzt, stinkt es nach Kanalisation und Fäkalien. Das ist gerade für ein Speiselokal einfach widerlich!

Waren mit mehreren Personen da,ihr Essen war lecker, ich hatte mir Schnitzel Bauhaus bestellt. Das Schnitzel war für mich eine Enttäuschung, viel zu dünn,Panade nicht knusprig. Obendrauf war sehr lecker, frische Pilze, Paprika, u.s.w. Dann der Clou,habe statt Pommes, Kroketten dazu bestellt und durfte dafür dann anstatt 14,90€ , 16,30€ bezahlen, ohne Salat. Also 2,40€ für die Umbestellung. Von der Atmosphäre und der Bedienung war alles gut

Nachdem wir trotzdem mit uns nur 3 Tische draußen besetzt waren, 30 Minuten gewartet haben um Essen zu bestellen, sind wir gegangen.

Die Schnitzel sind super lecker. Preis Leistung stimmt und der Service war ausgesprochen gut und freundlich. Auf eigene Bedürfnisse wird eingegangen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Wir sind nach der Annakirmes ins Brauhaus zum Essen gegangen und hatten nicht nur Durst sondern auch etwas Hunger. Haben uns die Schälchen bestellt. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Es war sehr lecker und ich liebe die Atmosphäre dort. Sowohl der Chef, als auch der Kellner waren sehr nett und freundlich. Auch meine Jungs haben sich sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Service war wirklich Super. Aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Meine Partnerin hatte zwei Cocktails die ihr super geschmeckt haben. Mein Weizen und Kölsch ebenfalls. 😊Preis/Leistung stimmt hier alle mal. Bei Brauhaus denkt man an eine Alte Gaststätte was hier aber völlig falsch ist. Schönes Modernes Ambiente. Uns hat es super hier gefallen. Falls es uns nochmal nach Düren treibt kommen wir gerne wieder.

Das Brauhaus wurde - welch Wunder- wegen der hauseigenen Brauspezialitäten aufgesucht. Das Helle und das Weizen konnten getestet werden und sie mundeten wirklich lecker! Beim Essen kann ich sehr die Schälchen empfehlen: 3 für 12,50 und 6 für 23,50 € (bei den Cents bin ich mir nicht mehr ganz sicher) aus einer großen Liste mit rund 12 Gerichten. Drei (Currywurst, Tintenfischringe und Käsespätzle) waren wirklich umfangreich, so daß ich mit mittlerem Hunger davon mehr als satt geworden bin!

Wir sind öfters mit unserer Mädelsgruppe da. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker, ebenso ist der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einzigartig in Düren!!!

Hier wird man als Gast sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen. Der Service ist super, alle sehr aufmerksam und stets freundlich. Das Essen ist toll, besonders das Schnitzel. Habe noch nie ein besseres gegessen. Bestes Brauhaus in der gesamten Umgebung, wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Wir waren jetzt schon öfters als Gruppe da und waren alle immer sehr zufrieden. Essen sehr gut, und der Service 1A. Auf Sonderwünsche wird immer eingegangen und perfekt umgesetzt.

Das Fleisch war zur Schuhsohle gebraten, die Pommes innen noch etwas hart. Das Bier durch Fremdleistung gut. Der Mochito schlecht gestampft und wässrig af. Alles in allem "Lala". Für eine Bar gerade so "ok" für ein Restaurant "unterirdisch"...

Tolle Gerichte, wahnsinnig nette und besonders schneller Service obendrein. Hier gehe ich gerne mit Freunden bei einem Bierchen essen und gucke Fußball vor Ort. Lediglich das Hausbier ist garnichts meins - das ist aber natürlich Geschmackssache. Genug Auswahl an deren Biersorten gibt es dafür. Grüße

In der vergangenen Woche haben wir uns mit Freunden im Brauhaus an der Annakirche getroffen und wir waren alle begeistert: eine sehr freundliche und gut gelaunte Mitarbeiterin hat uns nicht nur bedient, sondern hat uns auch sehr gut bei der Auswahl der Getränke beraten. Das Essen war schmackhaft und hübsch angerichtet. Ein sehr schöner Abend. Wir werden bestimmt wieder hingehen.

Top. War das erste Mal da und mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal.

Einfach nur Lecker. Reichhaltiges und kostengünstiges Tagesangebot. Die Dame die uns fast immer bedient ist turboschnell und außerordentlich freundlich. Wir lieben es im Sommer in der Außengastronomie zu sitzen und kommen immer wieder gerne hier her. Die Preise sind alles in allem echt in Ordnung. Ausgenommen ist der Salatteller auf der Karte, der mir persönlich , für den Preis von 13,50 EU echt wenig ist. Alle anderen Gerichte haben wir mehrfach probiert und sind im Gegensatz zum Salat opulent und man wird zufrieden satt☺️. Nochmals zu erwähnen, die Bedienung ( blond und schlank) ist sehr schnell, sehr aufmerksam und total freundlich. Im Sommer kommen wir jede Woche extra nach Düren bei schönem Wetter.

Sehr urig, leckeres Essen, sehr nette Bedienung..was woll man mehr?! Wenn ich eine kleine Kritik äußern darf, dann, dass ich es schade finde, dass es die kleinen Schälchen mit kleinen Mengen diverser Beilagen nicht mehr gibt.
