We had the lunch menu, schnitzel with onion-bacon sauce, fried potatoes and salad, it wasn't bad, but we've eaten much better at Bönnsch.

Very good food and beer. Portions very big. Very busy restaurant so took time to be seen by the staff. I would recommend because the food is absolutely lovely.

We were there on average twice a month this year and enjoyed almost everything there except for the Braumeisterschnitzel (we mostly ate and drank). However, since the new price list, the Bönnsch beer 0.2 liters now costs an impressive 2.40 (0.3 liters 3.60). At this point we are out now! Since I and my wife quickly have 12 to 15 beers in the evening, this is no longer acceptable for us. If you also take into account the fact that the glasses there (apparently according to tradition) never have the filling value that you ultimately have to pay for, the fun has finally come to an end for us. We will only occasionally get a 5 liter barrel here if we really want to drink Bönsch again, which is not cheap, but still acceptable. Otherwise, there are plenty of other places with better price/performance ratios that we will support.

Typical restaurant, right in the center of Bonn...wide choice of traditional German dishes...the home-produced beer is delicious!

I love their beer, and I've eaten the best pork knuckles I've ever had in Germany here. The staff is helpful (unlike other renowned breweries throughout NRW), and some of them know English. They have an English menu, too.

I drank two beers and rounded up from €7.30 to €8. After he had put my remaining money on the table, I put my notes in my pocket and he took my €2 remaining money from the table without asking. He just put it in his pocket and I was in shock. Disgusting. Was an older, somewhat chubby man. Happened on August 15th at 11 p.m. An unpleasant situation!

Best Beer and Food food in Bonn. My home Away from home. Great staff and atmosphere. it is always a pleasure to return to Bönnsch.

Unfriendly and rude service. Scared us away from our table because guests who arrived 5 minutes after us didn't want to sit at the table in the sun so we could offer them our table.

You simply have to visit it once in Bonn. The beer is very tasty and so is the food. I can highly recommend both the pork knuckle and the sauerbraten. The waiting time is short and even when the house is full, the waiters are extremely friendly and attentive. I like coming here because the level of quality and service is consistent here and unmatched elsewhere. EDIT: We wanted to go back to Bönnsch today, but were very rudely asked by a waiter "not to take the whole table" when we sat down outside, because the tables were for 8 people. It would have been very tight with eight of us, plus we were still waiting for a friend and there was nothing else free outside. The way in which this was communicated was un(hospitable) friendly and spoiled our appetite. We ended up going somewhere else.

Stopped in on Saturday, 4 people, 3 Bönnsch, 8 Radler, 2 wheat and 4 dishes: According to our guest, malt schnitzel was ok, but not outstanding, as far as the special breading was concerned, meatloaf pan was also ok, shank meat pan and salad with meat - all in all were the dishes only average good, 125 €. The service, however, was great, friendly, funny, quick. I give it 4 stars graciously.

Great authentic German food and beer. Service is good though can be hard somtimes to flag someone down when its busy. Food is delicious but don’t bother with the desserts as they’re all terrible. Highly recommend the pork knuckle.

We had the tarte flambée (very good), the burger (also very good), Bönnsch (very good) and three Brauhaus knuckles (bad). The knuckles were at the table 10 minutes after ordering. However, they were almost bone dry. The mashed potatoes were already dried on the outside. So these were prepared plates that were kept warm for far too long and then served dried out. This wasn't a brewery specialty. A pity!

The Braumeisterschnitzel on the menu was much more exciting and tasty at the beginning than it was when consumed afterwards. Unfortunately the breading was very unspectacular and tasteless and not seasoned at all. The fried potatoes were from a ready-made dish from Aldi. They tasted halfway okay. All in all it wasn't anything special as we had expected more from it.

It's very relaxed, all the waiters are super friendly, everything tasted very good and all the children get a scoop of ice cream for free, it's just great

Bemerkenswert freundliches Personal; TOP! - Leerer Terrassen-Tisch beim niedersetzen leider klebrig verschmutzt (wir, die Gäste, haben die Oberfläche notdürftig gereinigt) Meine vegetarischen 'Knödel-Trilogie' eine Katastrophe^ / Eine der drei Knödel so trocken wie altes Brot / Die Beilagensoße schmeckte angebrannt oder verbrannt / Das Essen kam schon kalt an den Tisch (was bei Außentemperaturen von über 30° nicht so schlimm war) / Der avisierte Pamesan bestand aus ca. zehn ZehnCent-großen hauchdünnen Schnibbeln. Tut mir leid, aber dafür gibt's von mir nur ein 'ungenügend'^

Sehr hohes Speisenniveau, traditionell und schmackhaft, z.B. Haxenfleischpfanne, Champignon-Schnitzel, Beilagenänderungen und andere Sonderwünsche (Sauce separat serviert) ohne Problem und ohne Aufpreis möglich. Service trotz hohem Betriebs sehr schnell und auffallend freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend (danke, Johannes!). Hunde sind selbstverständlich willkommen. Das Bier im Spezialglas ist sowieso schon eine Attraktion für sich: frisch-würzig, ein echter Durstlöscher im Sommer. Preise absolut in Ordnung. Unbedingt vorher reservieren, da schnell ausgebucht. Das ist online auf der Bönnsch-Webseite schnell und unkompliziert möglich, natürlich ohne Anzahlung oder Kreditkartenhinterlegung, wie es sich gehört für seriöse Restaurants.

I can't judge the food. Great and above all authentic atmosphere. In Cologne it's called Kölsch. In Bonn it is called Bönnsch. As a tourist, I felt it was a must. Recommendation

Classic pork knuckles not crispy but rubbery, waiter arrogant!

It was a nice evening in the brewery. The Böönsch Naturcloud is a stunner and the shank meat plate was really tasty. The waiter was super relaxed and served us quickly. The Bönnsch is definitely on the to-do list the next time you visit Bonn

We must have been there at the wrong time. It was very crowded, but we had reserved inside. It took a very long time for food and drinks to arrive, unfortunately at completely different times for each guest in our group, so we couldn't eat together. In any case, the kitchen seemed totally overwhelmed. The service staff was very friendly and tried to explain the tense situation. Given the crowds that prevailed at the time of our visit, the restaurant is not recommended.

Unfortunately, beer tastes a bit schmaltzy, so I don't recommend it.

Rustic atmosphere and delicious beer

We spent two nights here during the group stages of Euro 2024. The beer was amazing as well as the food and service. Well worth a visit.

Fries not crispy, cold, not salted but still as a side dish for €5 but asparagus soup was very salty, potato puree was too salty, tarte flambée was left over but almost burnt, expensive salad without onions, seeds, carrots, corn or anything else. But the Bönnsch was delicious. Service young and hardworking!

Uriges und gemütliches Brauhaus. Gutes Essen und Getränke. Reichhaltige Auswahl an Speisen. Nettes Personal. Tischreservierung ist ratsam. Leider nicht behindertengerecht. Toiletten nur mit mehreren Treppenstufen zu erreichen.

Nice atmosphere, good food in generous portions, excellent beer, friendly staff. I was afraid it looked a bit too tourists-oriented when I chose it, but even if it is, it is definitely worth it, especially for short visits in town!

So first of all a big compliment to the service. It deserves more than 5 stars. Some of the food portions were too large and the cheese spaetzle probably didn't have cream, although it was thick and greasy even without it.

Very good, your typical German brewery in Bonn centre, we took our dog in and they were super friendly, finding us a place that best worked for us inside. Plates are a bit expensive but they are massive as well so be sure you are hungry when you order one of the mains. We had pork knee (€20) and pork Schintzel (€17), both delicius plates.

Unfortunately the schnitzel wasn't crispy and completely soaked in butter, the fries were totally salty.

The brewery is very centrally located and the atmosphere and the food itself is typical brewery. Delicious food and nice service. Maybe a little expensive, but it's in the city center. It's just a bit of a shame that the restaurant is so close to the open street, which makes for quite a bit of noise, at least when you sit outside.

It was our first time at Bönsch. Our lunch was a very nice experience. Great service and top food. Beautifully designed brewery. The home-brewed beer tastes excellent. Gladly again and a clear recommendation! 👍

A brewery, just as it should be. The Bönnsch is an extremely drinkable top-fermented beer, the wheat is fresh and slightly caramel-colored and the seasonal beer is simply heavenly. The brewing system in the back is a feast for the eyes and the master brewer is happy to explain what he does there...as I said: it couldn't be better!

We were there last week with 5 people, it was quite full, but we had reserved a table, but we still had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for the food. When we asked questions, the answer was: “It’s just full, so it could take a while.” The food wasn't hot, at best it was warm and the sauerbraten tasted average, the red cabbage had no taste (guess it was frozen), as did the dumplings. Not a recommendation for me in the evening.

Can't write much about it now. Beer and food are top. Very nice, nice counter waitresses. Bönnsch season is recommended

We had made a large group booking and found the restaurant was understaffed. I asked for a recommendation and ordered what I was recommended, so I don’t think there could have been any misunderstanding but they brought out two incorrect meals for me so I ate quite late compared to everyone else in the group. We were asked to pay in cash which was not my preference, but then I was given €10 less change than I was owed and only realised when I got home. The food was nice German food and the beer was good but I wouldn’t return as these difficulties meant it wasn’t a good experience overall.

We ate spagel. Unfortunately it was cold and not through. We mentioned it to customer service and they just apologized. Not more. Otherwise the service was very friendly. I wouldn't go there again because of the food. There are much better restaurants there!

Very good selection of brewery classics, supplemented by other German cuisine. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, the beer and food are very good. The service too.

Beer delicious. I didn't like the food that much. Fries not really crispy and schnitzel rather dry. I expected much better in a brewery.

We came here after studying reviews from other tourists who recommended trying pork knuckle and beer here. We were right: the beer, the knuckle, and the salad with baked goat cheese were wonderful. Location, service, presentation of food - I liked everything. Be aware that the portions are large!

Very nice, well located restaurant. Didn't know that you can also buy the house beer in 5 liter cans. The waiting time was bridged by the friendly Zappes with a tasting sip. Very nice inside, a great beer garden outside. Ll be back soon!

Urig, allein den quirligen Wirt zu erleben, ist ein Besuch wert. Für Bierfreunde ein Muss. Mein rheinischer Sauerbraten war nett, aber nicht lohnenswert.

Food, beer and service were great. Unfortunately, the air quality and the noise level (we were sitting in the basement) made our stay a bit miserable.

Four of us were on the terrace in the afternoon. Food was good and as expected. Big minus: a simple change request (extra cheese on BeyondMeat Burger) was refused. Another minus in the ambience: the iconic Bönnsch glasses are not served on the terrace, as every customer is under general suspicion of stealing the glasses. The service otherwise leaves a lot to be desired. It wasn't overly busy, there were several empty tables and seats inside and outside. However, we were only served once. After we received our food and drink, the waiter stopped looking at us and walked past us several times. This meant that we didn't order any more drinks, had to pay at the counter, and had the planned dessert in another restaurant.

Portions are becoming smaller and more expensive. But tasty.

There is really hardly anything better than a freshly tapped Bönnsch from the brewery. Unfortunately, the portions have become a bit stingy lately, despite the increased prices. Really a shame.

The beer is great, the waiter is a dream. A great experience that you'll want to stay for a few more beers.

Splendid. I love it here! When we are in Bonn, we love to eat here. I try a different dish every time and have never been disappointed. Big compliments to the kitchen. But also to the service staff. Competent and friendly! Highly recommended (especially the Bönnsch Weizen)!

We were here on May 1st, 2024 with 10 people. Even though it was completely full, we were served quickly and in a very friendly manner. Ok, the meal took an extremely long time this time, but we were more than handsomely compensated for it. More than we expected. And every employee made us feel welcome and wanted. That made us all very happy and surprised. Thank you for that, we will definitely come back when we are in Bonn. And it's not always "Rhine in flames".

Price performance is right. Very tasty, both the food and the house beer that gives it its name. The waitresses were always very friendly and accommodating, even though it was always packed. It is advisable to reserve in advance. Whenever you visit Bonn, Bönnsch is the first port of call 👍👍👍

I drank two glasses of beer here, which together cost 4.4 euros. Honestly, the beer wasn't particularly good. Compared to other regional German beers, the taste of this standard beer was poor. When I wanted to pay and gave 5 euros, the old bartender said he had no change and didn't give me my change back. Is that normal? I'm not interested in the 60 cents. I'm not a beggar. It's just ridiculous that people who didn't provide me with any additional service take tips as a matter of course. The people who think this place is great seem to have never been to a really good restaurant

La birra merita, molto leggera e fresca. Il cibo nella media, sui dolci non ci siamo. Prezzi corretti. Servizio niente di che. Nella media.

Tisch mit kleiner Gruppe zu 19:30 Uhr reserviert - Gastraum sehr voll und warm. Die Speisekarte sieht gut aus . Getränke wurden nach ca 30 min geliefert. Nach mehrfacher Nachfrage, ob Essen bestellt werden kann, wurde dann mitgeteilt, dass dies frühestens ab 21 Uhr der Fall sein könnte - wann und ob das Essen dann käme, sei ungewiss. Nochmals zur Erläuterung: Tisch zu 19:30 Uhr zum Essen bestellt…. bestellt werden hätte dann ab 21 Uhr …. Bereitstellung dann immer noch ungewiss…. Was für eine Katastrophe … nie wieder

The food is excellent in both taste and in serving size, and the restaurant's location is excellent especially for sitting outside in nice weather. However, and this is not the fault of the employees, there were not nearly enough servers for a Saturday. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, and although we received our utensils after we got our food, other guests had to take some of our utensils because they had none! The food is great and the staff are nice, but they were simply understaffed. Not ideal for a time efficient lunch.

Sooooo...... Beer great, food great.....but waiting an hour and a half is just too far and without warning. A promised free dessert afterwards would take just as long. So good food but somehow also pure crap

Die Vielfalt der Speisekarte und das Essen selbst hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Bönnsch-Bier ist auch durchaus empfehlenswert. Vor allem der Service hat den Besuch schön abgerundet. Wir sind auch in der Gastronomie tätig und achten bei unserer Restaurantwahl sehr auf den Service. Weil wir von einer sehr zuvorkommenden Bedienung versorgt wurden, möchten wir sie an dieser Stelle loben. Die fleissige Dame namens Ipek hat dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns sehr wohl im Lokal gefühlt haben.

We were here on Friday evening with a group of 20 people. Food, drink and atmosphere were great. Many thanks to Dana, who looked after us wonderfully. The whole group was full of praise. 👍

I used to love going to Bönnsch. If all I want to do is have a drink, I'll continue to do that. But honestly, I don't feel like eating anymore Once I left the restaurant hungry after waiting for an hour (that was in September 2023). Today I got up from the table hungry again after a little more than 50 minutes. The Köbes ran and ran. There was just nothing to eat. I will definitely no longer recommend Bönnsch as a restaurant

Delicious food, conditions fast and friendly.

Quaint brewery Delicious Bönnsch (naturally cloudy) and a large selection of cold and warm dishes. I had the beef goulash with spaetzle. The service was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere is cozy. Since the store was very busy on a Monday, it is advisable to reserve in advance to get a seat.

We spontaneously stopped in for dinner on Friday evening. It was full, but the waitress kindly told us to take a beer and as soon as a seat became available, sit down. Service was great despite the half-hour wait. When we saw it at the table, the order came quickly and tasted 100%.

On the recommendation of a Cologne resident (!) stopped in for snack after the Bonn Marathon. As a South Baden native who is unfamiliar with the culture, I was very satisfied. One or two drinks/dishes were sold out, but that suggests that everything was fresh. Beer and stir fry were really tasty. Service also good. Thumbs up!

We had a fantastic evening meal here with amazing service and atmosphere. We wanted stodgy German high quality food and we had it here - spatzle and pork with mushroom sauce and potatoes. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Lovely place to have a few beers or nice wine and enjoy German food

We were put in the basement because there were no more places upstairs. The atmosphere in the basement was anything but pleasant. Staff worked hard and were friendly. Drinks were replenished fairly quickly, but we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. The schnitzels were fine.

We had to wait 2 hours for the food, it was unbearably hot and loud. The price was reasonable and the beer was delicious.

2 verschiedene Gerichte wurden nach angemessenen ca. 15 Minuten Wartezeit nur lauwarm serviert. Das Brauhausschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln hat dann der freundliche Angestellte auf kurzen Hinweis erwärmt und innerhalb weniger Minuten akzeptabel heiß wieder zurück an den Tisch gebracht. Da ich in der Wartezeit merkte, dass die Käsespätzle meiner Begleitung auch nur lauwarm waren, gingen auch diese zurück, allerdings bei einer anderen weiblichen Bedienung. Das 1. Gericht mit zusätzlichem Salat war gerade aufgegessen, als nach ewigen 15Minuten die Käsespetzle optisch toll aussahen, jedoch ( wahrscheinlich wieder ewig zur Abholung bereit standen) erneut lediglich lauwarm am Tisch ankamen. Kurz gesagt, Massenabfertigung Kunde ist uns egal Er sieht ja was hier los ist 6 setzen Schande für das eigentliche gute Essen. Fazit: Für rd. 50,-€ zwei maximal lauwarme Essen (2 Personen mit lediglich 2 Getränken ) bedeutet, dass auch dieser "Laden" so nicht überleben wird. Schade, schade schade... gutes Personal ist teuer: ein Getränk aufs Haus oder wenigstens eine einfache Entschuldigung gab es nicht. 6 setzen! Oder soll es an den Stromkosten liegen??? ( nein!) Nie wieder Bönsch!

Were there last week on Wednesday around 5 p.m. Super tasty food, which was delivered very quickly. In addition, the waiter (red-haired and tall) was very courteous, nice and empathetic. Rarely have I had such a cool and at the same time calm and attentive service. Thanks!

We spontaneously traveled to Bonn and had no idea where to eat. After a long walk around we came across this brewery. - That was exactly the right decision. The beer tastes great on site. It's a shame they have so little selection of them. The food was good. One portion per nose is definitely enough. Clean toilets available.

A brewery with live brewing. The beer is fresh and delicious 😋. We had the lunch menu and were completely satisfied with what was on offer. The regular dishes also looked very good. Prices are between €_€€€ We'll definitely come back again.

We stayed 2 nights in a row. On the first evening, Friday, the service was perfect, fast and welcoming; on the second evening, Saturday, we waited almost an hour even with excellent service. However highly recommended for the excellent food and hospitality.

We were in Bonn for a day trip and were looking for a restaurant with "German cuisine" and we quickly found what we were looking for in the "Brauhaus Bönnch". Conclusion: Inexpensive food, friendly, quick service, nice facilities. I especially recommend the Rhenish Sauerbraten and the house beer!
