We were there for the asparagus buffet. Super tasty. And a lot of choice of different dishes. We were particularly impressed by the dessert.

Spontaneous decisions often lead to the most beautiful experiences. In the short term, based on the positive reviews online, we decided to dine there and ring in the Christmas season. The selection of dishes was extremely diverse and offered something for every taste. Our meal was delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Kudos to the kitchen! The service was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is reminiscent of inviting restaurants from the 70s... very nice. If anyone wants to spontaneously immerse themselves in the delicious past, this is the right place. Many thanks to the Landgasthof Enck!

Unfortunately disappointing. We were there yesterday with a group of 14 people. We had reserved a table almost two months ago. When we made the reservation, we weren't informed that we would only be given a small, scaled-down special menu due to the number of people. It should be noted that we were the only customers until we left the restaurant. Since there were two vegetarians with us, our choice was limited to one potato. The service was unfriendly and snippy, the beer in the first course was too thin, and it tasted like numb feet. In conclusion, we won't be back!!

Ein Koch mit Leib und Seele, hier wird auch außerhalb der Karte gekocht...man muss nur danach fragen. Ich bin total begeistert von der Qualität des Essens, und freue mich schon darauf, wieder dort Essen zu dürfen.

We were there again today after two years. Since the restaurant is closing on June 22nd, 2025 (for renovations and then a change of tenant), it's already in a state of decline. The outdoor seating is still great, and the food and service were rather lacking. Two dishes (Cordon Blue) were missing salad, and all four dishes were lukewarm, not hot. Since I complained about this, I got a small beer from the house, which isn't usually available outside, just 0.4, as was only 0.4 of a Coke Zero. The Cordon Blue with fried potatoes is way too expensive at €29.90, as is the Wiener Schnitzel at €28. My husband had fried black pudding with apple and onion, which is actually a starter there for €13. When I asked if it could be had as a main course, he said yes, so it was an additional €4.50 for the mashed potatoes. The portion was quite small and not hot. Some of the wines are already out. The service was very slow and at times inattentive (but friendly), and it took over an hour for the food to arrive. I wish the owners all the best in their new restaurant, Wiener Wunder, in Rüttenscheid (next to the district court)! We will definitely try it out and hopefully we'll be satisfied again, just like we used to be at Hülsmannshof!

The food is great, very tasty, respect!!! The waiters are a bit irritable, though; they literally reprimand you if you arrive too early/late, when a friendly reminder would have been enough. Appetizers could only be ordered with the main course, which meant that the food arrived before we'd even finished the starter. If you want really good food but can live without a great atmosphere, you absolutely have to go and see for yourself.

I haven't been a guest at the inn yet and, based on my experience with the service, I definitely never will be. Last Friday my mother-in-law was out with my two-year-old son in the Ruhr when he got severe stomach pain, wouldn't stop crying and didn't want to ride his balance bike anymore. My mother-in-law then asked in the restaurant in question whether she could store the walker bike in the inn for about an hour, as there was no way she could carry both of them home. The employee then replied that this was only possible for paying guests. He saw how desperate my mother-in-law was with my crying child in her arms and then became rude when she dared to ask if she could leave the bike for just a short while. I think that's an absolute nonsense and a reason for me never to want to be a guest there. She was then allowed to store the bike in the police station.

I come from the south and have already eaten a few onion roasts...BUT I never thought that I would eat the best in Duisburg. He won me over from the first bite! Apart from that, everything else was great. The service, the drinks, the atmosphere were great and the price was absolutely fair for the taste you get! I will come again! Especially for the onion roast!
