I can't comment on the food because we were only there for a birthday coffee with a lot of people. However, it was very busy, even in the early afternoon. There were a lot of people eating there, and what you could see on the plates looked good. We heard from friends that the food was good. The staff was very friendly and attentive👍👍👍 The only flaw is the chairs, which could use some upholstery 😉 Otherwise, highly recommended!!! We will be back😊

This is our first time in the Aachen area and we unfortunately discovered that the same dishes are served almost everywhere. Monschau mustard sauce is available everywhere. When they brought us toast, we both had to smile. When was the last time we ate toast? That was the main question – we couldn't remember. The food was good overall, but not exceptional. The service, however, was excellent 👍. So friendly and attentive, simply wonderful. The location is very idyllic and worth a detour.

A beautifully situated forest restaurant with a pleasant outdoor area. Suitable for all generations, and the food is tailored to them. From children's to seniors' menus, there's something for everyone. No overly elaborate menu, no frills, just honest, with a changing seasonal menu. Fish, meat, and vegan (limited). Whether you're alone, with a partner, for business, or with family, everything is catered for. Children are welcome, there's an attractive playground, and for those looking for cross-generational entertainment, there's a mini-golf course. The service is generally very good and attentive, although we had a server on a bad day on our last visit. Reservations are required inside and recommended outside (if possible). And no need to worry about parking: there are plenty of options.

We stopped here during our trip to the Eifel region. It's beautifully situated among the woods, and we enjoyed a lovely walk. Afterwards, we had a delicious meal at very reasonable prices. The service was also very friendly, so we definitely recommend it.

A cozy restaurant nestled in the forest with a good selection of dishes for adults, children, and seniors. The portions were generous and delicious. Children can be entertained with the adjoining mini-golf course, the soccer goal on the lawn, or the playground. A beautiful and large terrace. There are many ducks in the adjacent pond. Highly recommended for all ages and a cross-generational outing.

Great location and delicious food

We visited the mini golf course with our children and were absolutely thrilled! The entire facility is very well-maintained, lovingly designed, and the groundskeeper constantly ensures that everything stays clean and tidy – you can tell right away. The courses are varied and really fun – for both children and adults. Afterwards, we went to the adjacent restaurant for a drink and an ice cream. Everything there was great, too: friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, and fair prices. Particularly practical: While we were still sitting comfortably, the children could let off steam on the fantastic playground directly adjacent. Conclusion: A place where you and the whole family feel really comfortable – we'll definitely be back! However, there is some room for improvement with the slide, which is located under a fir tree and is therefore completely covered in resin. It needs a thorough cleaning or a small roof should be considered.

Very nice and delicious restaurant in the middle of nature

The waiter in the outdoor courtyard on June 1, 2025, was rude, vulgar, and violent. We asked for a table for 11 people. There were no seats available. He simply replied, "There are no seats available," in a dry and disrespectful tone. We sat separately, and it was fine. I don't understand why he didn't offer to separate us. He seems unhappy with his job; he should go home. Otherwise, the place is very nice; the prices for a coffee and a slice of cake are reasonable, and the waitress, who was also in the courtyard, was very friendly, efficient, and professional.

We've been privileged to live next door to this wonderful restaurant for four years now. The Peters family will no longer be managing Entenphul at the end of the year. We will enjoy every second of this year and hope that, after three generations of the Peters family, a worthy successor will lead this truly exceptional restaurant into the future. We're very excited, but still a little sad.

Very good food. The atmosphere corresponds to a restaurant with a price range of 40-50€ but no dish over 30€. Very nice service. Tomato soup and rump steak were both very tasty.

A nice restaurant in the middle of the forest.

Ate a whole goose with four friends. The goose couldn't be bettered, tender, juicy, without the often typical goose smell, skin crispy. The side dishes of red cabbage, Schupfnudeln, spaetzle, Brussels sprouts and the apple filling were ok, but not at the top level of the goose. Service was very good, the atmosphere there was very old-fashioned and out of date.

The restaurant's surroundings are very inspiring, suitable for all ages, a small pond with ducks, a meadow with donkeys, a well-maintained mini golf course, a playground and last but not least a restaurant with delicious cakes and friendly service. All in all, I can only recommend it!!!

The schnitzel with cognac sauce was a real disappointment. The quality was "Aldi goods", the breading was, in my opinion, frozen goods and the assumption that the cognac was drunk by the chef and was therefore missing.

Very nice excursion restaurant on the edge of the forest near Aachen. The food is good and the service is also very friendly. You can relax on the large sun terrace. There is mini golf, a playground and a donkey and sheep meadow all around. Pure idyll! Various hiking trails lead from the Entenpfuhl into nature and even to the border triangle. Really nice.

This is NOT how good service works! Yesterday we wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday with a meal at Gut Entenpfuhl. When I made the reservation, I was told that at 1 p.m. only the table right next to the entrance door would be free. Since this place is very restless and loud, I made a reservation at 2:30 p.m. because I was assured of a nice, quiet place. When we arrived at the restaurant we were not greeted and ignored. Only after speaking to us several times were we grumpily led to the table right next to the entrance door and then the waitress left again. We tried to speak to a cellar several times but we were ignored again. I then got up and checked out a cellar and explained to him in a friendly manner that we had made a reservation for a later date so that we wouldn't get this loud table. He reacted very grumpily and said the other table was occupied. Since we were not offered an alternative, not even to wait a moment, we canceled the reservation. An unforgettable birthday dinner at Gut Entenpfuhl... in a negative sense. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant and we will not recommend it.

Disappointing service – Unfriendly waiter Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the poor service. The waiter was extremely rude and refused to serve us, saying he had other guests. We felt completely unwanted and were treated unprofessionally. It's disappointing to experience such poor service, especially when you're looking forward to a lovely evening. Too bad!

Today we were very disappointed. We had reserved a table for today. They said on the phone that only the uncomfortable one at the entrance was available, but 1.5 hours later a better one was available. No problem for us, we'll take the appointment. We were there at the agreed time. And we were abruptly seated at the table at the entrance without a greeting. That wasn't what we wanted. So I looked for another waiter and explained the matter. He checked again, it was true. But our table was given despite reservations. And the other free ones are reserved. So eat later or use the table at the entrance. There was no apology. So we said, let's cancel now and find another restaurant. Now the waiter stammered something like, it's not possible, and let's see. We said goodbye and left. That's no way to keep customers. We won't come back and won't recommend the restaurant.

Steak was served raw instead of medium rare. Added a few croquettes. Chicory in the salad made it very bitter. Fries had to be shared. Coca Cola tasted strange. Ice cream was weak in taste and stored incorrectly. Service didn't seem very motivated. View was very enchanting.

We had a small family celebration where we wanted to celebrate our daughter passing her doctoral exam. The chanterelle dishes were very disappointing as there were hardly any chanterelles to be found in the dishes apart from the sauce. There were 2 chopped chanterelles on my pork fillet. I didn't want to disrupt our party and therefore didn't express any criticism. In my opinion, something like that doesn't work at all!! The special menu is not unacceptable and we are very disappointed on this point!

Das Lokal ist gemütlich und gepflegt. Der Service war gut. Es gab eine Sonderkarte mit Pfifferlingsgerichten. Leider waren in meinem Gericht nur 2!! winzige Pfifferlinge zu finden, die anderen Familienmitglieder hatten minimal mehr.Der Rest bestand aus Soße!! Das finde ich inakzeptabel. Die Sonderkarte ist nicht wert, was sie verspricht, zumal es in diesem Jahr viele Pfifferlinge gibt. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut.

A good ice cream and a holiday feeling

Update recession 08/2024 Went to the Waldrestaurant Gut Entenpfuhl again this year during our summer vacation in the Eifel. It was very good again. The food was great and the service was very friendly. Even though there were a lot of guests there, our food came shortly after we ordered. We can therefore unreservedly recommend the restaurant. ************************ Recession,08/2023 Great restaurant with a great location in the forest. Sat in the beer garden in the shade under a tree - it was very pleasant to sit despite the summer temperatures. Drinks and food were served quickly even though it was busy. Everything tasted very good. We had the fillet plate and the pork medallions. There is also a nice playground in front of the restaurant so that parents can sit and relax while the kids are busy. There is also mini golf course here. But this is apparently from the "70s", i.e. only concrete tracks. Unfortunately it is completely in the sun, i.e. no shade from trees etc.

The three of us walked in here on a Friday evening without a reservation. It was a beautiful day and unfortunately all the tables outside were reserved. So we ate inside. Old-fashioned well-set tables with starched table linen. Cutlery and glasses shine. The map is concise and that is usually a good sign. The prices are not too bad, slightly higher than most restaurants we regularly visit, but certainly not expensive. Despite the enormous crowds, our order was on the table in no time. And everything tasted delicious. It's also nice that the (delicious) wine is served in a small jug. A beautiful place in both summer and winter. We will definitely come back here!

Sometimes a little "outdated", but quick, trained staff and highly recommended for children when the weather is good, because of the playground and - in my opinion. Minigolf course, probably for a fee.

Mini golf OK. Railways not the newest but usable. Food too expensive for what is offered. Basically the quality is okay, but it all looks a bit sparse. For the price I expect more. The croquettes as a side dish were the cheapest thing the metro still had. Meat OK but also far from perfect. At least the beer was cold✌️

Great location just outside of Aachen. A hike or a walk through the forest, before or after a meal, is no problem. The food was good, the service too.

Ein erstklassiges Haus. Die Speisen sind durchweg von höchster Qualität, bei jedem Besuch, und es waren schon viele, begeistert . Toller Service, abwechslungsreiche Karte. Nette Auswahl an Getränken. Auch Kaffee und Kuchen, Spitzenqualität.

Great restaurant. Price level higher than usual, but pure quality. Great atmosphere in the middle of the Aachen Forest with mini golf and a playground. A day of vacation in the middle of Aachen.

The simple schnitzel was simply delicious. Juicy, fine but not small, the breading is also very good, crispy, slightly greasy and juicy, the meat is incredibly tender. The side salad was super tasty. The herring plate was also surprisingly good. The beans were very good as was the matjes. We were able to choose boiled potatoes and fried potatoes as a side dish as an extra request. Sat in the courtyard on the terrace with a very good simple meal with a beautiful lukewarm sunset. Oh well, the mousse au chocolat with fresh fruit was a more than successful conclusion.
