Es war wie immer fantastisch. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt genau gebraten, Soße ein Traum und das Salatbuffet wie immer abwechslungsreich und für Jeden etwas dabei. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Chef persönlich serviert den Hauptgang. Eine tolle Location die zum verweilen einlädt. Wir sagen Danke an Familie Hirtz und Team für einen gemütlichen, genussvollen Abend.

Yesterday we reserved a table for 5 people. As soon as we arrived, we were given the menu and 5 minutes later asked what we wanted. The food also came relatively quickly and tasted good too. However, some of the food was not brought to the place but was passed over. You had the feeling of not being welcome and wanting to finish work as early as possible. The service urgently needs further training in terms of customer orientation, because the guest ultimately pays their salaries. It's a shame for such a nice restaurant.

Renter restaurant with average food and unappealing ambience. A lot of things are outdated, dark brown and out of date. Our seat was right next to the kitchen, where many employees were talking loudly and clattering dishes. It was very loud and we couldn't have a proper conversation. So I closed the door to our room where we were sitting alone. An older employee then jumped in and asked me what that was about and what I could think of was that it wouldn't work at all, the door had to stay open. I haven't encountered such an unfriendly approach in a long time. If the door has to be left open for fire safety reasons, for example, you can talk about it politely without insulting guests. Together with the average food and the dark brown ambience, the restaurant didn't convince me as a guest. We will not come back and do not recommend it.

A beautifully located restaurant, a bit out of the way but with its own large parking lot. The terrace is also easy to use in rainy weather. The food was tasty and served quickly. The drinks were fresh and cool. The restaurant is also highly recommended for cyclists.

We like to eat at Forsthaus Weiden. The food is home-style, but always of very good quality. The restaurant is located in the middle of the forest, but is always very busy with many regular guests and tourists. When the weather is nice, the large terrace invites you to linger. You should make a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. The potato pancakes on Wednesdays are highly recommended.

Disastrous service, especially the women who were very unfriendly and didn't want to offer us a table. In the end, a nice man (Hüseyin) offered us a table. The food is not for vegans. And for the vegetarians there was a salad with cheese. So I won't come here again, even though the location in the forest is nice.

Home-style and yet modern. Hidden in the forest, if you don't know it you won't find it. But a visit is absolutely recommended.

Update: We ate there again the first day ago. It's a shame.....As soon as we came in and I said we had ordered and asked if we could sit outside in this weather, I was reprimanded very briskly and quite rudely. Something like that has to be clarified in advance and they would have made a reservation here now. It hadn't even been covered yet. We said well, then we'll stay inside. No, now they're sitting outside too. 🤨 So we followed to the terrace, where there were still a few tables available, even in the shade. No, we got a table where 2 sat in the sun. The next ones come with the notice at 7 p.m. The service also left something to be desired in terms of friendliness. The food was okay and the prices were good. Price-performance ratio was not consistent. After eating we had the feeling.....so now dessert or drink....otherwise adieda. Our conclusion not again. All 12 of us were very excited. Service very good. December 31, 2019 We were there yesterday for the New Year's Eve menu... it was very good... and there was excellent service... beautifully 😍 laid out and everything wonderfully decorated. The food was very tasty.

Das Essen ist gut, und der Mittagstisch preiswert. Die Portionen ausreichend groß. Negativ sind die überzogenen Preise für Getränke. Für Familien untragbar ist der Kinderteller für 14,50 - was ich als komplett überzogen finde. Der Service ist freundlich aber unaufmerksam, jedes Getränk brauchte mehrfaches rufen und es brauchte einige Nachfragen bis wir endlich die Rechnung erhielten.

Nice restaurant in the countryside. Enjoy your meal. Unfortunately the service wasn't that great. Waiting time of 1.5 hours was really tough. Leftovers from the meal were packed up at the table to take with us. That was something...😉 I think the service was slightly overwhelmed here. Was addressed on site. I think you can expect a little performance from a meal for around €200. Well...an apology did come.

Table reserved online for 5:15 p.m. Coffee and cake were planned. We've been there in the past, but we're not regulars. We were given the menu at the table, but when we said we wanted coffee and cake they got a little rude, but brought us our order. As soon as the cake was on the table, another gentleman came and politely but very firmly complimented us on the terrace, saying that reservations could only be made for dinner after 5 p.m. The regular customers would know that. So we moved to the terrace, not so comfortable in today's temperatures. They kindly apologized and said 5:15 p.m. was dinner time... There are not only people whose day is structured in such a way that they eat dinner at 5:15 p.m. and not just regular customers. Admittedly the cake was very tasty and the value for money was right. But perhaps you should point out when making your online reservation that reservations can only be made for dinner after 5 p.m. As soon as not again.

The service was very courteous and nice. There were twelve of us there and we all had our food at the same time. The food was good and the prices were okay. The atmosphere is cozy.

Very rude today! We wanted a table in the sun which we were denied due to a lack of staff. We should sit 2 meters away in the shade. Thank you. Lost regulars. Your answer is not correct. The entire sunny area was not allowed to be used. Of course we understand the lack of staff. But what's the difference between sitting 2 meters further? You would have served us in the shade too.

It was super tasty and the staff was really friendly. Update May 2024: we were there again today. The food is still delicious. However, prices have risen quite a bit in the meantime (like everywhere else). A lumberjack steak costs €22. And a glass of Pinot Gris 0.2 is available for €7.90. However, the main course comes with a salad from the buffet.

The steak was excellent, even if it wasn't what it was when I ordered it cooking point was asked. The difference between Merlot and Pinot Noir was difficult to explain to the waitress. Two apricot schnapps were served very late. The salad buffet was rich and very tasty. It's a great forest tavern and almost a restaurant.

The special additional lunch menu includes several dishes as a menu with a great price/performance ratio. The service was great and courteous. The boss and manager of the house are very friendly. We would love to come back here because it tasted really good.

Upscale restaurant, good cuisine

Wir feierten die Taufe. Ein Taufpate hatte eine Tauftorte mit gebracht. Bei der Endabrechnung wurde der Verzehr pro Person mit 2,50 Euro berechnet.Alle Gäste waren darüber entsetzt.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr abgelegendes Restaurant. Perfekt für einen Spaziergang nach dem Essen. Die Schnitzel mit Pommes waren super. Kann es wirklich empfehlen.

Nachdem ich meinen Schatz so lange genervt habe hier mal essen zu gehen haben wir es heute in Angriff genommen und nicht bereut.

Das Abendessen am ersten Weihnachtstag war ein optischer und kulinarischer Genuss. Von der stimmungsvollen Deko über den ausgezeichneten Service bis zum erstklassigen Essen muss man das Team um Familie Hirtz loben! Und auch 2023 hat sich das Team vom Forsthaus Weiden wieder selbst übertroffen. Die Lobeshymne von 2022 kann ich nur wiederholen!

Wir zum ersten Mal dort. Das Forsthaus liegt mitten im Wald. Wenn man den Weg nicht kennt, sollte man ein bisschen aufpassen, obwohl Hinweisschilder überall hängen. Wir hatten einen Tisch im ""Wanderzimmer"" was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Das Essen war klasse. Gut gewürzt ( was mir persönlich sehr gut gefiel, da man oft nachwürzen muss ) und auch reichlich. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passte zu den angebotenen Speisen die wir hatten, Kürbissuppe, Carpaccio vom Rinderfilet, Wild und Steak . Auch für andere Speisen sind die Preise passend. Unsere Bedienung war sehr nett. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen. Wir hatten online reserviert. das hatte diesmal nicht so gut geklappt, kann aber auch an fehlerhafte Eingabe meinerseits liegen. Ansonsten finde ich dieses System klasse.

Vortreffliche Fleischgerichte, ob vom Wild oder Rind. Außergewöhnliche Soßen kann man dazu in saisonal schön geschmückter Atmosphäre genießen. Am besten vorher reservieren.

Das Ambiente ist super schön und die Bedienung auch meistens freundlich. Das Essen und das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ist super.

Wir haben das erste Mal Essen in diesem Restaurant bestellt. Allerdings haben wir es abgeholt. Es handelte sich um ein saisonales Gericht, Entenbrust mit Rotkohl und Knödeln. Es war hygienisch verpackt, war selbst nach einer etwas längeren Fahrt noch warm. Zum Essen selbst, es war sehr gut, das Fleisch total zart, Sauce und der Rest einfach himmlisch. Portionen waren reichlich!! Bei nächster Gelegenheit gerne wieder. Wir werden das Forsthaus weiter empfehlen.

Schwierig. Unangenehmer Ton am Telefon. Teilweise, je nach Person, richtiggehend frecher unverschämter Umgang im Service. Nicht zu empfehlen, auch wenn das Essen ganz gut sein kann.

Leckeres Essen, Steak super zubereitet, freundlicher Service, ohne Reservierung geht kaum was am Wochenende.

Tischreservierung für 13:30 Uhr telefonisch auf 14 Uhr verschoben -nach ca 30 Minuten wurde, wie uns schon bei Ankunft mitgeteilt wurde, der Raum umdekoriert für eine Gesellschaft. Der Raum wurde zu kühl, da gelüftet wurde. Das Essen kam schnell,ist aber nicht für Allergiker geeignet. Die durch die Umräumarbeiten unangenehm gewordene Atmosphäre liess gemütliches Bleiben nicht zu..

Sehr zuvorkommender Service in gemütlichem Ambiente. Das Essen war sehr lecker und eine große Portion. Leider gibt es für Vegetarier nur eine sehr kleine Auswahl (2 Hauptspeisen). Das Sellerieschnitzel ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Also die Kellnerin mit den kurzen Haaren war der Hammer. Essen wurde auf die Fensterbank gestellt. Sehr unprofessionell und total unfreundlich und schnippig. Tut mir leid, das geht gar nicht. Die braucht noch mal eine Schulung in Benimm mit Gästen

Sehr vielfältiges und leckeres Essen. Tolle Atmosphäre. Aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Werden öfter hier essen und haben für die Feiertage schon reserviert.
