Gut bürgerliches Restaurant, sehr angenehm, mit Außenterrasse:überdacht. Speisekarte recht umfangreich. Von Mo-Fr. Tagesmenue, 6 Speisen zur Auswahl, einschließlich Salate vom Buffet. Und das alles im soliden Preissegment. Zu erreichen ist das Forsthaus Weiden von Stolberg Atsch aus oder von Verlautenheide auf meist einspringer Str. durch den Wald, mit Ausweichen. Empfehlenswert ist vorher 1 Tischreservierung besonders am Wochenende und Do.wg Reibekuchen.

Wir hatten ein hervorragendes Essen, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert! Schöne Terrasse.

Sehr gutes Essen, meist aufmerksame Bedienung (es war das letzte Mal sehr voll). Umfangreiche Salat Bar. Ambiente ok, schöne Aussenterasse.

Tolles Restaurant & toller Biergarten!

Das Personal war ruppig bis unfreundlich. Der Service unpersönlich. Mir hat man den Teller mit dem Essen ein Stück neben mir abgestellt. Das Schweinefilet war Knochentrocken, die Soße versalzen und an den Pommes konnte man das ranzige fritierfett schmecken. Und dann ist es auch noch teuer. Das Ambiente im Wald ist ganz gut. Das wars aber auch schon. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Wie immer gibt es hier nichts zu meckern! Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Kellner sehr zuvorkommend. Kurz alles wie man es sich wünscht.

Sehr idyllisch, mitten im Wald, gelegenes Restaurant. Wir waren dort zur Mittagszeit und bestellten uns das Mittagsmenue. Den Salat durften wir aus dem Salatbuffet wählen. Dies ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es war alles vorhanden, von Rohkost bis Kartoffelsalat war alles vorhanden. Das spätere Schnitzel war auf den Punkt gegart. Zart und saftig. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hatte uns Tipps gegeben, wo es auf der Terrasse nicht so zügig ist. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können es nur empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Ambiente sowohl draußen auf der sonnigen Terrasse als auch im gemütlichen urigen Restaurant, sehr gute Auswahl von Kuchen und Torten. Für drinnen und draußen ist es von großem Vorteil vorher eine tischreservierung zu machen. Das wunderschöne Forsthaus liegt inmitten von wunderschönem Laubbaum-Wald, um vorher/nachher einen schönen Spaziergang zu machen. Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden. Bereits ab Mitte März gibt's schon hervorragende Spargel Gerichte, sehr zu empfehlen 👍😋 Einfach wunderschön, toller Service...kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

Heute vorzüglich gegessen und aufmerksam bedient worden. Bei dieser Hitze kommt keine Gemütlichkeit auf.

Nach vielen Jahren war ich noch einmal im Forsthaus Weiden zum Essen. Ich hatte die Terrasse noch offen mit großen Schirmen in Erinnerung. Für mich war dieses Tonnendach fast unerträglich, so war darunter. Die Bedienung war mäßig freundlich, das Essen leider nicht das was auf der Karte stand...zB statt einem frischen Erdbeerspiegel kam ein Klecks Marmelade 😟 wir haben 0,3L an Getränken bestellt, bekommen haben wir 0,2L zum Preis des 0,3L 🤷 Frechheit. Für uns kommt dieses Haus nicht mehr in Frage 👎

War mein erster und letzter Besuch. Keller war nicht sehr freundlich. Falsches Essen bekommen was, ich nicht bestellt habe. Das Essen war sehr trocken und entsprach auch nicht der Beschreibung auf der Karte.

Mitten im Nirgendwo liegt das von vielen so hochgelobte Forsthaus Weiden! Auf Wunsch meiner Familie, die teilweise schon mehrfach dort war, kam es dann auch zu meinem ersten Besuch dort! Sonntagmittags… Puhhh😮‍💨 Das Wetter war nicht ganz so pralle, draußen sitzen war also für uns leider nicht wirklich eine Option! Wir wurden ins Kaminzimmet gebracht, die Luft war stickig und mit und mit wurde es voller und lauter…Gar nicht mein Ding ! Ich habe nichts gegen Vierbeiner, aber in einem Restaurant haben sie meiner Meinung nach nichts verloren! Das stresst die armen Tierchen doch auxh, wenn wir ehrlich sind… Das Essen war Durchschnitt, die Preise eher hoch, das Personal freundlich… Das Publikum ist durchschnittlich deutlich älter als ich, das Restaurant wirkt mir persönlich mit seinem Image ein bisschen zu bieder und eingestaubt🤭Alles in allem: ich weiß nicht, ob ich nochmal dort essen gehen möchte!

Wir haben draußen gesessen. Der Service war bemüht und kann sicherlich nichts für die Qualität des Essens. Das Wiener Schnitzel schmeckte wie ein aus Fleischresten gepresstes paniertes Patty, das aus der Tiefkühlung in die Fritteuse gesteckt wurde … fertig 😟

Sehr leckere Reibekuchen, mit Züricher Geschnetzeltes oder mit Sosse Bernaise

Wir waren nur kurz spontan nach einem Spaziergang mit Hund vor Ort. Der Service war freundlich und schnell, die Getränke und unsere Suppe lecker und das Ambiente wunderschön. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen. Für Hunde gibt es auf der Sonnenterrasse Näpfe mit Wasser.

Wir feiern jedes Jahr unsere Hochzeitstag im Forsthaus. Wir haben da unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und waren damals so begeistert, das wir das zur Tradition gemacht haben mindestens 1x im Jahr dort zu Speisen. Das Essen sowie der Service sind absolut Spitzenklasse. Das Salatbuffet ist frisch und fpr jeden was dabei. Das Essen lecker und reichhaltig. Das Forsthaus ist nur zu empfehlen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch des öfteren da essen gehen

Leckeres Essen, ich hatte ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Preiselbeeren. Für meinen Geschmack ein gehobenerer Preis. Essen war nachdem bestellen schnell am Tisch , aber die Bedienung war unaufmerksam. Geschmacklich nichts einzuwenden, Portion war normal.

Gutbürgerliche Küche mit Anspruch ohne Sterneküche Schnickschnack. Überschaubare, wechselnde Speisekarte nach Saison. Große Terrasse mit vielen schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten und gepflegtem Grundstück. Lage mitten im Grünen. Für Kaffe und Kuchen gibt es eine Auswahl frischer Kuchen/Torten an der Kuchenbar. Für die Kleinen gibt es ein großes luftgefülltes Kissen von Sand umgeben in der Art einer Hüpfburg. Empfehlenswert.

Perfektes Ziel für einen Waldspaziergang am Wochenende. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service, tolles Essen und traditionelle deutsche Atmosphäre. Vor allem die Terrasse zum Garten hin ist ein Traum. Der Spargelsalat war ein Genuss. Ich hatte einen sehr schönen, entspannten Aufenthalt und werde wieder kommen! Alles top! Preis Leistung ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung.

Waren zum zweiten Mal dort. Diesmal waren wir leider enttäuscht. Pommes wurden auf einemkleinen Teller für zwei Personen serviert. Die Preise im Internet entsprechen nicht denen auf der Karte. Der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Wenn man Essen bestellt geht es nicht schnell genug für den Kellner. Aber wenn man noch Getränke ordern möchte, muss man hoffen, dass einer der Kellner überhaupt mal guckt. Möchten nicht mehr hin.

This was our first time there. The forester's lodge is located in the middle of the forest. If you don't know the way, you should be a bit careful, even though there are signs everywhere. We had a table in the "Wanderzimmer" (hiking room), which we really enjoyed. The food was excellent. Well-seasoned (which I personally liked, as you often have to add more seasoning) and plentiful. The value for money was in line with the dishes we had: pumpkin soup, beef carpaccio, venison, and steak. The prices for other dishes were also reasonable. Our service was very friendly. We would gladly return. We had made a reservation online. That didn't work so well this time, but it could also have been due to a typo on my part. Otherwise, I think this system is great. The portions were generous. A full 5 for this. Update: Unfortunately, it seems that reservations and entries don't always work out. It happened to us again. They didn't even have us on their list. Luckily for us, a few tables were still free – it was very busy. I think we would have been out of luck otherwise. At the salad buffet, several containers were completely empty and hadn't been refilled, which I found disappointing considering the time of day. Since it was full and we had to wait a long time for the food, I didn't mind. But I can still expect a full salad buffet. Since we were the last customers, they started clearing everything away around 8:30 p.m. It was a pleasant lingering experience, far away from the crowd. It's a shame, as I've always been satisfied. Except for the issue with the reservations we'd booked, which unfortunately didn't turn up. I didn't feel comfortable at all this time. I found everything very stressful. I had imagined a different kind of 70th birthday. So, I'm keeping my distance for now. What a shame.

Hello everyone... Table reservation required. Sat outside on the terrace with friends - a wonderful view of the greenery... Starter, main course, and dessert were very tasty, and the eye was completely satisfied. Restrooms spacious and clean. BUT our server - rarely have we had a very attentive, polite (not too pushy) young man - who charmingly accommodated our requests. I highly recommend this place.

Always happy to go back; delicious food. The service is generally very friendly and courteous. However, there is one waiter who makes me want to leave the restaurant immediately. This person never laughs and is sometimes even rude. That this isn't just my impression is confirmed by conversations with acquaintances and friends who also dislike this waiter. I realize that in times of staff shortages, there are few alternatives, but from the guest's perspective, it's a shame if this leads to people avoiding an otherwise lovely restaurant.

Once is never, twice is once too many... the third time there are consequences. We actually always enjoyed going to the Forsthaus because the food was always good and the people were nice. Since the coronavirus pandemic, the service has unfortunately been steadily declining due to a lack of staff. 😔 We already had the experience on the terrace in 2024 where the already somewhat unfriendly service employee simply took care of new arrivals while taking orders. It's a bit of a respect thing... Last week, we made an online reservation for cake on the terrace. Unfortunately, it's apparently not possible to order online, but the selection is available. After we then announced that it was cake, the table was cleared of "normal" cutlery very hectically and with an obviously very annoyed expression. And for the third time, today, June 30, 2025, we arrived from Alsdorf by bike... actually to eat potato pancakes, knowing that we probably wouldn't get them after lunch. Still hungry... before I even asked if he had a table available for our number of people, the employee very rudely interrupted me with the statement, "There's nothing to eat." Only the terrace at the front for drinks. When I pointed out that we weren't necessarily there for the potato pancakes, I was again annoyed and dismissively told that they couldn't offer anything to eat. Interestingly, all times could still be reserved online 🤔 Technology that inspires. Obviously, we no longer fit the customer profile, but since this has happened several times now, we will definitely not go to this place again. Too bad, because the food was always really delicious. But if they don't want my money, I'll spend it elsewhere. Too bad... Mr. Hirtz should send his service employees (since they don't have any proper staff left) to training courses on how to communicate politely and properly... they could have simply acted in a friendly and sympathetic manner again, instead of being annoyed and dismissive again. For these prices, you'd expect more. Conclusion: The food is still 👍🏻 Service: Terribly bad. Atmosphere: Old, rustic, but clean and OK.

Nice guests, good service. The food was rather expensive and so-so. The portions were rather meager, and the schnitzel and fries were very greasy. The coffee tasted like coffee crumbs/flavoring. So, a high price for mediocre food, which I think is rather poorly prepared. There's definitely room for improvement here! We thought the salad buffet was very good!

Very good location, ideal for a stopover, especially for dog lovers and cyclists. Service is always attentive and friendly. After reading the reviews, I've come to the conclusion that most visitors have no basic knowledge of good food. This particularly applies to preparing a good schnitzel. The sauce is always served separately. The sauerbraten sauce lacked oomph, and the roast should have marinated longer. The cappuccino was very tasty, with a good consistency. Prices are standard.

Beautifully located restaurant in the middle of the forest! We were on the terrace in beautiful weather – the view of the forest is stunning, and the secluded location means you can't hear any traffic noise. The food was solid overall. The Sauerbraten in particular was very good and definitely recommended! A few details could be improved: The appetizer served was a toasted sandwich – we would have preferred fresher bread, such as herb butter or a baguette. Unfortunately, the staff are often not very customer-oriented. On our first visit, we were told in a blanket manner that there were no more seats available. When a colleague of the staff member noticed this, he pointed out that there were still plenty of seats available on the terrace. Today, we were turned away again. Google Maps says the kitchen is open until 8:30 p.m. When we arrived shortly after 8:00 p.m., we were told that the kitchen was only open until 7:30 p.m. When asked, they simply explained that the boss wasn't there and they had no idea what was going on. Overall, my impression is unfortunately rather mixed.

It's one of the more conservative establishments in the area, which isn't meant to be derogatory. The food is very good, although the prices are a bit higher, but still reasonable. It's beautifully situated in the Würselen forest. Very well-maintained grounds with a lovely view of the garden. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

Das Essen war bestenfalls Durchschnitt. Preis und Leistung passen nicht! Die Spargelcremesuppe war sicher nicht frisch zubereitet. Das Schweine- und Rinderfilet und der Fisch waren zumindest gut und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Die Sossen, das haben alle so empfunden, konnten da geschmacklich leider überhaupt nicht mithalten. Den Sherry in der Senfsosse z.B. konnten wir nicht herausschmecken. Eine Gemüsebeilage gab es nicht, stattdessen Fertigsalate an der Selbstbedienungstheke. Das alles wäre noch ok, wenn denn wenigstens der Service gestimmt hätte. Ein Dessert oder Kaffe wurde uns nicht angeboten, also haben wir darauf verzichtet. Ein Kellner war penetrant aufdringlich und unfreundlich, da hat es am Ende noch nicht einmal zu einer Verabschiedung gereicht. Bestenfalls Mittelmass, schade das war nix….wir hatten angesichts der anderen Bewertungen mehr erwartet.

Fünf Sterne sind fast zu wenig! Das Essen im Forsthaus Weiden ist schlichtweg phänomenal – eine echte Geschmacksexplosion bei jedem Besuch! Qualität, Frische und Zubereitung sind auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Auch der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen: aufmerksam, herzlich und professionell. Ich kenne weit und breit kein Restaurant, das diese Kombination aus Genuss und Gastfreundschaft so perfekt beherrscht. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team – macht weiter so! Very high-quality food. Absolutely delicious! Lots of older people, but also good with children because there's a bouncy castle outside. You can take a nice walk in the forest afterward.

Restaurant oder Airline? Ich hatte im April für Mitte Mai reserviert und am Morgen des vereinbarten Tages auch eine Erinnerung erhalten - das lief gut. Allerdings als wir dann dort waren hat man uns mitegeteilt das Resturant wäre überfüllt und die Küche hätte "nichts mehr außer ein paar Schnitzel". Sowas ist mir noch nie passiert. Bravo! Da die Anreise schon blöd war (um Verlautenheide herum, über Stolberg!!!) werden wir das wohl nicht nochmal versuchen. Dann lieber in die Innstadt.

When we ordered a table for our wedding, we were told that we would be allowed to dine in a separate room. But that was no longer the case on the wedding day. We had barely been at the table for 10 minutes and suddenly an older lady appeared and forbade our loudness. We wouldn't be alone in this restaurant. If such people go into the basement to laugh, they should stay there and not spoil the mood of other guests on a special day. But okay, there are always sick people. We were also annoyed by the salad buffet, where there were salad bowls and plates. One of our guests took a plate and helped himself to the buffet. This was reprimanded. You were only allowed to take salad bowls. Plates were for a different category. How would you know that? Something like that really upsets you. Then I asked for a teaspoon. This was not available after 10 minutes. Service staff seemed to be very overwhelmed that day. Conclusion: There are better places with friendlier staff.

It's always worth making a reservation at the Weiden forester's lodge. Plenty of parking spaces (free of charge) available. Afterwards there are beautiful walks for digestion For the weekend: reserve early.

Es hat alles gepasst. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend hier verbracht. Nicht nur die Bewirtung, sondern auch das Essen verdient die höchste Benotung.

We got a table for 4 people for Easter Sunday at relatively short notice. There was a slimmed down “EASTER CARD”. We ordered different dishes. All 4 were of the opinion: it was really tasty. The food came pretty quickly and was served by very nice staff. We were very satisfied all around. We'd love to come back. Many thanks to the entire team.

I was at the Forsthaus Weiden with my family today and it was just great! The atmosphere is really good – cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing. The food was delicious, especially the steak, which was just a treat! The preparation was perfect and the taste was simply great. A big compliment to the service! She was super friendly and very accommodating, especially the way she dealt with my kids - really great! We all felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, we went to the Forsthaus Weiden for a birthday dinner with seven adults and our 3.5-year-old granddaughter. A warm welcome and friendly staff, who even took the time to have a little chat with our grandchild. The food and dessert (cake and ice cream, respectively) were plentiful and delicious. Everyone returned home feeling extremely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Forsthaus.

Very tasty food, very nice people there. The only drawback is the way there. Since the forester's lodge is so idyllically located in the forest, getting there is not easy. We went there using Google Maps and had to take a lot of dirt roads that weren't supposed to be driven on. But since there were signs pointing to the restaurant, we took them.

Wir waren heute hier zum ersten Mal und waren von dem schönen urigen Gebäude und der modernen Terrasse begeistert. Der Service war super professionell und zuvorkommend und das Essen sehr lecker. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!

Unfortunately, you were treated like a second-class human being just because you are young. The reservation I made was “unfortunately” not found and the waiter then called me out afterwards. Too bad. Not recommended for young people. For pensioners, you fit in well, but you can also just wear a shirt.
