We went to the brewery for the first time today, the food was super tasty and the portion was so big, I couldn't make it. I can only recommend it.

We always enjoyed going to the brewery often, even after the flood, and were always very satisfied. Today we were there again after about nine months and probably for the last time. The service was - in contrast to before - absolutely underground! Listless and unmotivated, no request or bon appetit, no asking whether everything is OK or if you would like more drinks and the empty plates were not cleared until the cashier. The side salad that came with the meal was only brought to the table without a word when asked, long after the main course had been served; by the way, this has shrunk to a careless minimum. Fries only consisted of very small and too hard fried pieces that could hardly be speared with a fork. Unfortunately, the schnitzels themselves are no longer the same size and quality as they used to be. It's a shame, so in the future we'll only go to the Erftquelle in Holzmülheim, because everything is just right!

Not every condition can laugh there, but the laughs are super nice. The food is good, but you can only get the salad if you ask, which happened twice. Very well attended and sometimes full.

Doesn't work at all. Although a table was reserved for 7:00 p.m., we were very complimented because, according to the statement, there would be no space available "in the foreseeable future." When I replied that we were leaving now, we received a “I don’t give a damn” response. We couldn't rate the food as a result. The ambience seems ok.

Food was delicious, we sat outside and it was just nice, as it should be in the brewery. There was too much food again and had to be packed. This puts the price into perspective because there was still enough left the next day. Been there again and everything is still good

The food was delicious, as was the beer. Unfortunately, the service was a flop - at least on the terrace: - New guests wait forever for a card - Wanting to pay is just as difficult - Our food came, but no cutlery - Our side salad was also forgotten, we had to ask twice before he finally brought it. So it was more of a dessert - Our table neighbors asked for salt and never got it - Other guests at the neighboring table have been waiting for their drinks for at least 15 minutes, probably forgotten too 😂 But we don't stay that long to find out what happened next 😃 The young man seems to dream more than work. -

We ate super tasty snitzel here. Friendly and fast service. Nice terrace with wooden tables and benches.

When asked if there was still a table available, they could only seat us outside, which of course is not a problem. Unfortunately, we, along with 6 other tables, had to wait 30 minutes before a waiter brought the food to one of the tables. The rest of the terrace had not yet been able to order and was suddenly told that they would only serve again when the rain stopped, which he said would take another 5 minutes. It rained for the rest of the evening, so we wisely left the terrace after seeing what the rain radar predicted... BIG TIP: Fortunately we found a restaurant within a 200 meter walk where the food and service were really good, namely Gemünder Kurhaus & Restaurant.

Very quaint shop with a beer garden in the quiet pedestrian zone. Food and service great, price-performance ratio completely fine! I'll be happy to come back.

We didn't eat anything because we no longer liked the neighbor's food. Staff was very unfriendly and out of 3 drink orders, 2 were delivered incorrectly. We used to be very happy, now never again. It almost looks as if there has been a change of ownership. Just a shame.

We reserved a week in advance, but when we arrived they said it was overbooked. So we stood there with 6 people. Ultimately we had the choice to sit outside or leave. The food made up for us a bit, as it was, as always, very tasty.

I had the best damn steak ever here, and my wife had an amazing schnitzel. Absolutely fantastic food, would recommend to anyone.

The food is a 10/10, the food is incredibly delicious! The service is more of a 4/10... Nobody comes to the table and asks whether the food is OK or whether drinks still need to be ordered. Our food wasn't complete, the staff had to be CALLED first so that someone could come - that's a shame. For the ambience, an 8/10. We stayed seated until 9:30 p.m., all hell broke loose outside, the brewery was closed - incomprehensible as a guest... but the operator must know that himself.

I think this is a great option if you want to eat schnitzel or something along those lines. If you want a slightly lighter lunch, or coffee with something on the side, you don't have to go here. Service was friendly, terrace was beautiful so no complaints in that regard!

The staff was unprofessional and totally overwhelmed. As we walked past, the menus were simply thrown on the table. After half an hour someone finally came to take our drink order. Another 30 minutes passed before we were served our drinks. A young lady (the only person who seemed at least somewhat motivated) then took our order. We all chose a schnitzel dish. After an hour, the schnitzel plates finally arrived. Among other things, we chose pepper ram and hollandaise schnitzel. Greetings from Knorr ready-made sauces and Tommy Hollandaise. Nothing homemade and just under €20 per plate. Behind and other guests left the restaurant with their glasses still half full... No wonder. The visit was a complete disaster. There were four of us in this brewery today and we ordered schnitzel. A gypsy schnitzel, a hunter schnitzel, a pepper schnitzel and an onion schnitzel. The breading of the schnitzel was very light, not crispy and all in all disappointing. To cover this up, they probably poured the sauce over it before serving. It's really amazing that there are still restaurateurs in the 21st century who do something like that. Always serve the sauce with the schnitzel separately. Otherwise you can save yourself the effort and fiddling around with the perfect breading. Everything tasted ok. But not any more. If you can't even get a good schnitzel here, you should stay away from everything else. The sauces are most likely all from the chemistry set. The taste was just ok again. The fact that the onions in the onion schnitzel were raw and therefore a precursor to intestinal colic (not everyone can tolerate raw onions) was just as irrelevant to the staff as was the criticism of the cold fries. The service was generally very distant, taciturn and showed little interest in its guests. But you can't really call it unfriendly, as there was hardly any interaction. "Your Order". That was it. Even when we were served, they didn't say a word to us. During the course of our stay we were not asked about our location once. So it stayed with one dish and one drink per person. But if you're doing good business with it, keep it up. In principle, it is difficult for us not to tip, but we would like to thank you for making it so easy for us. Unfortunately, they didn't even try. Even the effort could have been appreciated otherwise. The best part was basically the country beer.

Were in Schleiden on Sunday. At lunchtime I was very hungry and went to the brewery. Quality was good. Had the rump steak, which was grilled medium rare. The quantity was really sufficient, the fries were very well prepared, and the mushrooms too. I can really recommend it.

Four stars for the delicious food and friendly service. I called on Wednesday and wanted to reserve a table for four people on Saturday. Sorry, we are completely booked on Saturday. We still came at three on Saturday and got a table without any problems. At four o'clock we were almost alone in the restaurant...what's the point??????

First of all, I know the brewery myself before the flood in 2021, where it had a more traditional, rustic ambience, which was left out during the redesign in order to restore some of the old charm... more of a modern, bright restaurant ambience, not quite my thing Thing, but chic. What I don't think works at all is the black painted ceiling! It reminds you of a theater stage/club in daylight. A warm, pleasant color would have made it more comfortable... well, a matter of taste. The food is definitely really great, as are the regional beers on tap, although it's heavily limited to steak dishes, which are, however, prepared first-class. My friend was really excited about that too. However, they also have high prices!! The waitresses were all nice and attentive, so much really great; What is unfortunately really missing from the menu is at least one. Small selection of starters. There isn't even something as simple as bread with herb butter or dip and the dessert is limited to a single coffee ice cream dish (afogato) What a shame actually! Otherwise 5 stars for the food. As far as child-friendliness is concerned, there is still a lot of catching up to do and the changing table in the stairwell where also in front of the back door is really poor and rather shabby! Sorry really doesn't have to be.

Definitely worth a visit!!!

After the flood, the reopening of the "M-Quadrat" or as it is now called: "Gemünder Brauhaus" was a great success! Great menu, delicious and many different types of beer and wine! The anti-alcoholic aspect is not neglected either! Everything on the menu is recommended! Added to this is the friendly, fast, attentive and pleasant staff! A small downer is the sometimes high prices for various dishes. But unfortunately in times like these you have to deal with it.

Typical brewery with very large portions of food. Not “on and off” but something clever on the plate. You can also sit nicely in front of the house in the pedestrian zone. Inside tables tend to be a bit close together.

The owner is in the kitchen herself to prepare great dishes. The price-performance ratio is absolutely ok because everything is fresh and the portions are large. We also liked the fact that it is open at lunchtime from Friday to Sunday. There is a cozy atmosphere inside and there is a large outdoor area that invites you to linger in warm weather. I would particularly like to praise the friendly, attentive staff. We'll definitely come back there

Employees semi professional. Cleanliness was ok except for a few corners. Price performance was within the framework. The entrance is not beautifully designed. You are immediately overwhelmed by a lot of decoration and stairs. All in all, less is more. It would be nice if the ramp were free for disabled people. There are no parking spaces and the back of the restaurant looks very shabby.

Everything was rebuilt after the flood, the food was perfect and generously portioned. One star deducted because there is only one vegetarian dish (excluding salads) Toilets are spotlessly clean, all in all a clear recommendation.

The restaurant is very nice and modern, the service staff is very nice and friendly. The menu offers something for everyone. The food was amazing, not only in terms of preparation but also in terms of portions. The Pan-fried schnitzel and beef fillet were a delight, as were the croquettes. The salad was prepared with fresh ingredients which was reflected in the taste. Also a big compliment to them Kitchen.

It's been a long time since we were back in the Eifel and went to the well-known (before the flood) brewery in Gemünd. The reconstruction was successful. Unfortunately we can't say the same about the menu and the staff. The menu offers different types of meat but not varied. The sauce tasted like it came from a ready-made package. The side dishes were delivered later when the meat was already cold. We both also had significant stomach problems afterwards. The service left a lot to be desired. When we were there it wasn't that busy. About 45% of the tables were occupied and everyone was already eating or already finished. We weren't noticed as new customers for 20 minutes, despite being assigned a table. We received our “begged” drinks after almost 30 minutes. In our opinion that is too long. After we asked about food, we were informed in a not very customer-oriented manner that there had been a lot of visitors that day and that no one here wanted to cook anything and that we had to ask first if the kitchen was preparing anything else. According to the website, the kitchen is open until 9 p.m. We also don't think it's appropriate to receive this announcement at 7:55 p.m. The young man also did not carry out the serving of drinks and food correctly in a professional manner. He reached into the plates with the hands he had previously used to clean the other tables. The food was also thrown rather carelessly on the table. Feedback was dismissed and commented negatively. Polite phrases such as bon appetit, do you like it or did you like it were not mentioned at all. Our conclusion: Great everything around, cuisine and prices ok, but no vegetarian options (except salads), service poor.

Food is simply GREAT. The small portion of schnitzel is completely sufficient, the rest is gluttony 😜. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't explain the different types of beer in more detail, which was a shame. My personal dislike among service personnel is long, painted fingernails. I find that very disgusting and that's why I only give it 3* for the service. But everyone was very friendly.

We were there with a group of 13. Table pre-ordered. Schnitzel highly recommended. Big portion. Possibility to order in smaller sizes available. Salads fresh and delicious. Coffee, espresso and cappuccino in glass cups. The drinks stay warm longer. Toilets in the basement. Public parking nearby. Everyone was very satisfied. We'll definitely come back.

Great food, good beer, gladly again

Was a guest here with friends and the food was really good and is highly recommended. There is one point deducted for the ambience because unfortunately we had our table right next to the kitchen and the door was open. This caused all the smoke to move to the tables. That wasn't so pleasant. The service only gets 4 stars because the service was on point, but serving and clearing still need improvement. Otherwise, you can be happy that there is a restaurant like this again in Gemünd, which was badly affected by floods.

Food very good, again at any time

We had a very nice meal here. An extensive menu, something for everyone. The dishes are large, to very large. You can also order a children's or senior portion. The local beer is tasty 😉. The service is friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable.
