Fantastisches Essen und fantastischer Service, äußerst aufmerksam und familiär freundlich. Nicht zu übertreffen!

Ich rufe stets an, ob noch frei ist. Ob die weihnachtliche Gans, das Menükarusell im Frühjahr (südafrikanisch angehaucht!) oder die Spare-Rips am Freitag...ich hab - auch a la carte hier noch nie schlecht gegessen. Ich fühle mich hier sehr wohl. Am liebsten nehme ich an einem der Hochtische Platz. Dort, wo Herr Uwe Weiß meist das Regime hinter der Theke führt, sitzt man klassisch. Weiß und Team sind tolle Gastgeber. Ich komme sehr gerne hierher.

Wir haben zum Menü karusell im Gasthaus weiß gegessen und es war sehr schön. Gutes Essen und sehr lecker, die Bedienung hat unsere Getränke wünsche von den Augen abgelesen, ein gelungener Abend

Das Spargel Buffet (Juni 2025 u. Mai 2026) ließ wiedermal keine Wünsche offen. Die Spargelvariationen waren allesamt mega köstlich mit verschiedentlichen Fleisch- und Fischsorten. Ebenso die ansprechende Dessertauswahl. Alles war stimmig und schön angerichtet. 🍹🍺🍽🌞 Gänseessen war sehr gut. Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Gemütliches Ambiente und super Dekoration. Auch das in der Vergangenheit mehrfach besuchte bayrische Buffet und die Sparerips sowie die Abholaktionen zu den Feiertagen sind sehr empfehlenswert. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Ein tolles Restaurant, welches es in dieser Art leider immer seltener gibt. Es liegt nördlich vom schönen Hattingen und ist einfach über die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel zu erreichen. Für ein Frühstück und den Mittagstisch bietet das Gasthaus Weiss alles, was die Herzen für gutbürgerliche Küche und herzhaftem Essen schneller schlagen lässt. Ebenso lassen sich genug abwechslungsreiche vegetarische Alternativen finden. Für die Qualität und das Angebot an Essen, ist der Preis p.P. mehr als angemessen. Aber vor allem überwiegt das angenehme familiäre Flair, welches durch die freundlichen Mitarbeiter/Bedienenden getragen wird. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Kurz zusammengefasst: Top! Vom Ambiente über den Service bis zum Essen alles absolut top. Speisen schmecken wirklich super und sind liebevoll hergerichtet. Die Portionsgrößen sind ausreichend und preislich angemessen. Klasse, bitte weiter so!

Mehr als nur einen Besuch wert. Es ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Der Service ist Spitzenklasse und wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war absolut köstlich und sucht seines gleichen.

O-Saft kostet Extra, nicht im Preis enthalten! Kein Kaffee Trinker, kalten Kakao, nein kann man nicht machen , Bedienung dann damit fertig! Man zahlt aber alle für Kaffeepauschale! Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht wieder kommen ‼️dann der Preis für zwei Personen, 93,-€ für das was man bekommen hat, echt viel zu viel‼️

​Einfach nur TOP! Wer in Hattingen richtig gut essen möchte, muss ins Gasthaus Weiß. Wir waren zu viert dort und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Service war super aufmerksam und das Essen schlichtweg Weltklasse (alle Gänge!). Ein großes Lob an die Küche und das gesamte Team. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal zum Sonntagsbrunch da und haben direkt fürs nächste Mal reserviert, dann Sparerips und Burger. Essen, Service und Ambiente haben völlig überzeugt und machen Lust auf mehr. Dafür fährt man gern auch mal ne Stunde hin und zurück. Wir freuen uns aufs nächste Mal.

Mein Mann und ich waren heute dort zum Fisch&Meeresfrüchte-Büffet. Es war wirklich sehr lecker. Alles war gut abgewürzt, besonders gut gefallen hat uns die Kokos-Curry-Fischsuppe, das Thunfischcarpaccio und die Gambas. Bei den warmen Speisen war der Fisch am Ende etwas trocken, was aber der Liegezeit in den Warmhaltebecken geschuldet ist. Der Service war super. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren am 08.03.2026 dort zu Gast und hatten am runden Tisch das Menükarussell-Tour durch Südafrika. Die einzelnen Gänge waren alle top, inklusive dem Wein. Zu jedem Gericht gab es vorab eine kurze Erklärung. Das Personal war sehr sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und immer zu einem Scherz bereit (nicht aufdringlich). Wir kommen gern wieder

Das Menü-Karussell ist jedes Jahr unser Highlight. Das Essen ist afrikanisch mit der passenden Dekoration, bei hervorragendem Service. Vielen Dank und bis bald!

Der Sonntagsbrunch war echt klasse. Bei der Auswahl wird jeder fündig.. Besonders gut haben mir die Brotsorten und Desserts gefallen! Die junge Dame vom Personal war sehr zuvorkommend ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken. Insgesamt ein wirklich tolles Lokal!

Wir sind am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Buffet im Gasthaus Weiß gewesen. Kosten pro Perosn 60€ zzgl. Getränke. Wir sind zu fünft dort gewesen. Alle waren rund um begeistert vom Essen, Service sowie dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Es wurde ein sehr sehr ansprechendes Buffet was auch überragend schmeckte serviert. Alles wurde immer ausgefüllt, so dass es nie an irgendetwas fehlte. Der Service war 1a, trotz das Restaurant ausgebucht war, musste Man nie auf Getränke warten. Er herrschte auch eine wirklich sehr freundliche Atmosphäre. Da man heute ja nie mit Kritik an Preisen spart, muss man hier sagen, daß die 60€ pro Person absolut gerechtfertigt sind und mehr als fair waren. Nächstes Jahr sind wir wieder dabei!

Wir waren heute im Gasthaus Weiß essen. Das Essen sowie der Service und das Ambiente waren ausgezeichnet. Das Steak mit der scharfen Zwiebelkruste war ein Traum!

Wir haben hier in einer größeren Runde Geburtstag gefeiert und es war einfach alles top. Das Essen ist richtig gut, der Service spitze und vorallem sehr kinderfreundlich. Dazu noch das fantastische Ambiente. Es gibt wirklich nichts, was man hier besser machen könnte. Kann ich nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

The goose dinner was delicious, however the geese were very small and unfortunately a bit fatty. The portions were also rather meager. The service was good and the atmosphere very cozy, although it was very warm in the back of the restaurant.

My wife and I ate here for the first time yesterday, October 25th, 2025, at 7:30 pm, and what we ate was superb. My wife had braised ox cheeks with mashed potatoes, and I had the Tyrolean schnitzel with fried potatoes, which were definitely too small for the price. But everything was very tasty. As a complimentary appetizer, we had pretzels with goose and onion lard, which were also very delicious. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The portions could be larger, especially the fried potatoes. The service was simply fantastic, very attentive and friendly. The gentleman behind the counter came to our table after the meal (the owner?) to ask about us and if everything was alright with the food—a really nice guy, there's no other way to describe him. A young woman who hadn't been there long was also very nice and attentive; she did a great job. We will definitely come back again. And as I said, the portions leave much to be desired; at this price, you should really be able to fill up, which unfortunately isn't the case. It would be nice if the portions were larger. Sincerely

We went there for dinner. They had goose. It was really delicious and very nice. Friendly service and a great atmosphere.

After Sunday brunch, we made a reservation for the game buffet. It was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection, each piece of game prepared to perfection. It was also well-seasoned; we didn't even need to add any extra seasoning – simply superb!

I was invited to brunch at Gasthaus Weiß, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing 🤩 The breakfast was very filling, the bread mmm... the crust was very crispy, the inside was nice and soft. Everything was very fresh and beautifully presented. It started off well, the service was very attentive and not annoying. Then, around 12:00 PM, the hot food arrived (if only I'd known that beforehand 🫣) The hot buffet was also excellent and varied (unfortunately, I was almost full by then) And then there were delicious desserts too 🥰 It was a very successful Sunday. You were at the Gasthaus Weiss for the first time on May 1st. Asparagus buffet. Excellent food. Have tried many dishes. All very tasty. Very attentive, fast and friendly service. You immediately notice that this is an owner-managed restaurant. Small drawback: no parking spaces and the terrace faces the Aldi parking lot. But that's complaining at a high level. Dear Gasthaus Weiss: you have new regular customers. See you soon

Beautiful restaurant in Hattingen. The brunch is amazing with a huge selection of food. The bread is homemade and delicious. If you book brunch, be careful not to eat too much because lunch is included and starts shortly afterwards.

We recently celebrated an unforgettable family celebration at the Gasthaus Weiß in Hattingen. Thomas and Uwe Weiß's cuisine impressed us with its creative mix of Westphalian down-to-earth cuisine and exotic ingredients. The dishes were not only delicious, but also artfully prepared. Absolutely recommended. This time I was there for Schnitzel Day (Thursday). But whether it's brunch or any of the other events on offer are great.

We went there for brunch for the first time 3 weeks ago. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was excellent. The lunch for brunch was also good. We look forward to our next visit.

We've been here several times for brunch with the family and we simply love it. Nothing is missing. Very tasty bread. Lots of selection of sausage, cheese, jam etc. Scrambled eggs are freshly prepared. Lunch was also always good and there was something for everyone. Unfortunately the price is getting more and more expensive.

Service friendly, accommodating. Plenty of choice of food. Ordered dishes served tasty and quickly. Ambience rather conservative. The menu is rather meat-heavy and not suitable for mixed groups with veggies.

Once again we ate very well. It will probably really be our traditional Christmas restaurant from now on. Beautiful ambience. Thanks to the very friendly, helpful and personable waiter who endured even the most chaotic orders from our children and answered the most curious questions from our gourmets with calm and enormous kindness. We've been here before, but for the first time with family and it won't be the last time.

Despite postponing our reservation twice to a later date that same evening, we received a very warm welcome. We also got the food as ordered á la carte. It was also very tasty. The Gasthaus Weiß is worth recommending. Friendly service and excellent food.

We had booked a table for Friday and were there on time. Unfortunately the table was given to someone else, so we had to leave! No other solution was found, even though my husband had to use crutches and obviously couldn't stand for long. Should we wait that long at the bar???? This has never happened to me! It's a shame because we really appreciate the cuisine there! Unfortunately it was also very loud in the dining room!!

Very unfriendly older waitress and unfortunately had really inedible food! When I asked what the food was like, I said it wasn't possible, but I didn't get anything else/new. The chicken strips were partly undercooked and completely gristly. Some of the salad was totally rotten. Had to pay for everything. Are super disappointed!!! Now lying flat with stomach pain from bad food. Really a shame!

A very stylish restaurant with top staff. This time I was here for the wild buffet and was thrilled with the food on offer. Taste and quality top. (What wasn't so nice was the table decoration with plastic flowers, not quite suitable.)

The salad as a starter was great, as was the amuse geule; One of the two schnitzels was laced with plenty of fibers, and the croquettes were also unconvincing given the ambitious price (suspicion of frozen food).

Unfortunately the tables are all very close together. The food was mixed - my schnitzels consisted of as much breading as meat, which wasn't particularly tasty.

Simply great food, the best fried potatoes ever and the Matjes Hausfrau style was fresh and plentiful. My husband had spare ribs, all you can eat, with three dips, rosemary potatoes, garlic bread, baked tomatoes and onions, with coleslaw. Even the Radler was fresher, cooler, tastier and more drinkable! A clear recommendation! Here we still create magic in the kitchen with a lot of heart and mind! Masterful!

We celebrated our 70th birthday at the Gasthaus Weiß with around 50 people. The food (asparagus buffet) was simply terrific. The selection was so wide that there was something for every taste. In addition, the always attentive and friendly service staff must be mentioned. All of our guests commented very positively. It was an all-round successful evening and we are always happy to come back.

A hidden little restaurant with great cuisine, quick and funny female waitresses. Thanks for the dark chocolate at the end. For our first visit we chose the schnitzel day, we also ordered the African cheese burger made from Namibian pastured beef and were totally impressed. We will be back.

We visited the Gasthaus Weiß for the first time at the Karussell menu. When I made a reservation by telephone at short notice, I immediately noticed the extremely friendly communication. The following evening was very nice, the food was excellent, the staff was more than attentive and friendly. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback was as welcome as we were. Due to the good experience, we booked brunch directly on Good Friday and were given a very friendly welcome a second time. The buffet and service were again perfect. We will definitely come back again!!!

When we arrived we received a very warm welcome with our Rhodesian Ridgeback. We became aware of the restaurant through the Menucarousel homepage. The menu was sensational. Honest cuisine, as my husband likes to say, with great taste. But on top of that there was a great service who knew what she was talking about and recommended. Rarely have I seen such attentive service. All-round warm service, great atmosphere and ambience, we will definitely be back 🤩✌🏼
