Started with the order...this employee of curry q kranenburg was apparently in a hurry (no customer in the line except us) didn't even ask what kind of sauce we wanted with our schnitzel. Then we took a bite of the schnitzel...that schnitzel tasted so salty that you instantly got a blood pressure of 300+!! Back to the cash register with a sign to ask if those schnitzels always taste so salty, in response the gentleman immediately dumps the entire plate in the trash. Talking about hospitality... Reason for us to take some pictures and give a review about this experience. That employee comes after us to threaten to delete those photos or call the police LOL. Just stalked us for half an hour and threatened to call the police (who of course didn't show up) while we went shopping. Was the gentleman suddenly gone Break is definitely over...:) We will never come to this place again

A catastrophic currywurst. The sausage squeaks when chewed between your teeth. The sauce is like water. For 7.5 euros the portion is also very small. Others do it much better. It's a shame Ortmann used to be really good.

Very beautiful here! It's always cozy here, the people are nice and the food is delicious! Class!

We ate noodles. These were good, the side dish of salt was optional. The staff friendly, not intrusive. Price slightly high but still within reason, the view of the Rhine is priceless. Quiet despite high frequency.

I wish I could go with zero star. We ordered steak and it was unbelievably bad. Steak was cold and the topping sauce was clearly from day(s) ago. Waiter doesn’t ask how do you want your steak so if you don’t say anything, most likely you will get a medium rare steak. When I told him about the bad quality of the steak he checked to see if I finished the food or not and when he saw it’s indeed barely touched he apologised and offered a “free espresso”, which I refused. But we still had to pay for that abomination called “steak”. It was my second visit. last year’s visit was okay(different staff) but unfortunately never will happen again.

Delicious food, friendly and attentive service, good value for money, small but fine menu, cozy restaurant. We had a lovely evening!

Very good food at moderate prices. The service is extremely friendly, attentive and quick. Definitely recommended. A particular highlight is the goose dinner in November.

The best moist fish I've ever had! You can't compare it with all the dried fish snot that's otherwise around. P.S: Late in the evening, while having a nice chat with the head waiter, he revealed (a generous tip required) that the boss gets up at 3 a.m. every 1st Friday of the month to fish for the wettest fish from the Sellmannsbach. You may only work with vegan live bait! This keeps the fish moist even after weeks. Conclusion: FINALLY! Gelsenkirchen can have wet fish!

We were there for coffee. We were greeted very warmly and friendly and were given great advice when choosing a cake. Thanks for that. We'll definitely come back. Very nice atmosphere. Will definitely try out the menu soon.

This 'restaurant' looks like a house from the outside. It's not a restaurant you can just walk into. It's a kind of hotel. I don't understand why it says on Google Maps that it is a 'schnitzel restaurant' that opens at 6 p.m. It was closed. You had to make a reservation and we were there in May so it was closed. The information on Google Maps could be much better.

Tolles Personal sehr freundlich , leckeres Essen da merkt man noch das alles frisch zubereitet wird . Die Schnitzel sind der Hammer sowas findet man so schnell nicht mehr . Preis Leistung ist sehr gut , Teller sehr groß also essen sehr viel . Kann ich nur empfehlen und der Biergarten ist genial .
