The best moist fish I've ever had! You can't compare it with all the dried fish snot that's otherwise around. P.S: Late in the evening, while having a nice chat with the head waiter, he revealed (a generous tip required) that the boss gets up at 3 a.m. every 1st Friday of the month to fish for the wettest fish from the Sellmannsbach. You may only work with vegan live bait! This keeps the fish moist even after weeks. Conclusion: FINALLY! Gelsenkirchen can have wet fish!

Schade. Im letzten Jahr waren wir auch zum Hochzeitstag dort. Alles war super klasse. Heute, am 29.10.24, Bedienung super lieb und aufmerksam. Die Gerichte vom Vorjahr! Rumpsteak mit Zwiebeln, durchgebraten und fest. Schweinemedaillons in Pfefferrahm mit Speck ummantelt wurden vor den braten flach geklopft und waren darum zäh. Salat zu süss, Geschmackssache. Schade. Wahrscheinlich war der Koch vom letzten Jahr schon wieder weg.

Marienstraße 4Wonderful gasthaus. Really has a traditional feel to it. Our table had the large salad with tuna, the schnitzel wiener art, the schnitzel cordon blue and the schweinshaxe. Everything was perfect. The schweinshaxe was absolutely something else — we’re going back just for this. Atmosphere was cozy and traditional. Service was slower than I expected and prefer especially considering how early we arrived and the fact that it wasn’t busy, but it didn’t tarnish the experience. Would absolutely 100% recommend this place. Like I said, we’re going back.

Marienstraße 6Very tasty food and large selection. Prices moderate. There are currently a wide variety of mussel dishes on the menu. Chili mussels with gnocci were very tasty.

Nienhausenstraße 43Very good restaurant in Gelsenkirchen. Nice atmosphere and very good and friendly service. Parking spaces in front of the door. Reservation recommended. We always enjoy coming here.
